Abstract

Student activeness in the learning process is one of the key indicators that supports learning success. At MI Al-Awwal Palembang, teachers strive to create an interactive learning atmosphere through the implementation of various learning models, one of which is the cooperative learning model of the talking stick type. This study aims to describe the implementation of the talking stick cooperative learning model, the students’ learning activeness, as well as the supporting and inhibiting factors during the learning process. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques consisting of observation, interviews, and documentation. The research subjects were 26 students of class V.A and a teacher of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The findings indicate that the implementation of the talking stick cooperative learning model successfully created a participatory and engaging learning environment, in which students became more active in expressing their opinions, answering questions, and collaborating in groups. The supporting factors for the success of this model include the teacher’s communication skills, the availability of facilities such as the stick and speaker, and the students’ enthusiasm. However, challenges were found in classroom management, such as a less conducive atmosphere during the stick relay activity, which requires further attention and improvement. Overall, the implementation of the talking stick cooperative learning model has had a positive impact on increasing students’ learning activeness in Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) is a project-based co-curricular activity designed to develop students in alignment with the six dimensions of the Pancasila student profile. P5 provides students with opportunities to experience project-based learning by engaging with their surrounding environment. SD Negeri 75 Palembang is one of the schools that has implemented the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project. This study aims to describe the difficulties faced by teachers in implementing the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P5) in Grade IV at SD Negeri 75 Palembang. This research employed a qualitative method with a case study design. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that Grade IV teachers at SD Negeri 75 Palembang still encounter several challenges in implementing P5, including: (1) determining appropriate project themes, (2) utilizing available facilities and infrastructure, (3) limited time allocation, and (4) designing project modules. The efforts undertaken by the school to overcome these difficulties include: (1) establishing collaborations with external partners, (2) condensing P5 implementation into one month each semester, and (3) organizing teacher learning groups as a platform for teachers experiencing challenges in implementing P5.

The test subjects were one teacher and 25 students. The instruments used include validation sheets for material, media and language experts, as well as practical sheets for teachers and students. With effectiveness measured through formative tests. This research was conducted from February 7 to 15, 2025. The results of the validity study showed that the Digital Scrapbook obtained an excellent average score: 92% from media experts (very valid), 76% from linguists (valid), and 98.46% from material experts (very valid). Positive responses from teachers reached 92.85% (very practical), while students reached 95.54% (very practical). The level of effectiveness was obtained through the pretest-posttest, with an N-Gain Score value of 0.6246 < 0.7 (Quite effective) These findings indicate that the Digital Scrapbook learning media is feasible, practical and effective enough to be used in IPAS learning. As a follow-up. Digital Scrapbook will be applied in IPAS learning and teachers will be directed to maximize its utilization. Further research is recommended in other schools to increase the level of effectiveness of the media.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies of farmers in Segayam Village in facing the challenges of modern agriculture characterized by climate change, fluctuating commodity prices, increasing production costs, and developments in agricultural technology. The study employed a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation. Data were then analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that farmers employ various adaptive strategies, including gradual technology adoption, crop diversification to reduce risk, institutional strengthening through farmer groups, production cost efficiency, and expanding market access through distribution networks and digital media. These strategies reflect farmers' adaptive capacity in responding dynamically to social, economic, and environmental pressures to maintain the stability and sustainability of their farming businesses. However, challenges such as limited capital and unstable market access remain obstacles to optimizing agricultural output. This study concludes that farmers' adaptive capacity is a key factor in maintaining the sustainability of rural agriculture amidst the dynamics of agricultural sector modernization.

Abstract

The main issue in this research is the lack of teachers using interactive learning models, resulting in less than optimal achievement of learning objectives. Therefore, this study aims to determine the Application of the Word Square Model on the Visual-Spatial Intelligence of Students in Pancasila Education Learning for Class V at MI Tarbiyah Islamiyah Palembang. This research is an experimental study with a Pretest-Posttest One Group Design. The population of this study consists of all fifth-grade students, totaling 24 individuals. The instrument used to determine the Visual-Spatial intelligence of the students consisted of a questionnaire with 17 items, observation, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is with the formula (TSR) and with the formula (t-test). Based on the TSR formula results, the average from the pretest-posttest, before using the word square model (pretest) was 61 and after using the word square model (posttest) was 81. Meanwhile, based on the (T-test) results, a sig (2-tailed) value of 0.000 was obtained, which is smaller than 0.05, thus it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. So, there is a significant influence of the word square model in Pancasila education learning on the visual-spatial intelligence of fifth-grade students at MI Tarbiyah Islamiyah Palembang. This research is expected to serve as a reference for teachers to use the word square model in the learning process so that learning objectives can be achieved optimally and can enhance visual-spatial intelligence.

This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive type of research. The subjects of the study include Music Arts teachers, grade III students, and school principals. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation to obtain comprehensive data. Data analysis is carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn, while the validity of the data is tested through triangulation of sources and techniques. The results of the study show that teachers' strategies in instilling the values of mutual cooperation through SBdP lessons, especially in music arts for grade III students, are carried out through various ways ranging from learning strategies, learning media, and learning evaluation. Supporting factors in the implementation of the strategy include students, parental support, and school support, inhibiting factors include limited learning time, experience playing music, and differences in students' character and social attitudes. Abstract

Learning discipline is one of the important characters that needs to be developed from the elementary school level so that students possess responsibility and orderliness in the learning process. However, in reality, some students have not demonstrated optimal learning discipline; therefore, the role of teachers is needed through additional learning activities. This study aims to analyze the implementation of additional learning activities, the role of teachers in shaping students’ learning discipline, and the factors influencing it at SD Yayasan IBA Palembang. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive research design. The research subjects consisted of teachers, third-grade students, and the school principal. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, while data validity was tested using source triangulation and technique triangulation. The results showed that additional learning activities were implemented through three aspects: planning, interaction and supervision, and learning evaluation. The teachers’ roles in these activities included acting as educators, demonstrators, classroom managers, motivators, and evaluators. Supporting factors included students’ self-awareness, school support, and parental support, while inhibiting factors included limited implementation time and the lack of parental assistance at home. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the consistent and integrated optimization of teachers’ roles in additional learning activities is the main factor in shaping and improving students’ learning discipline in elementary schools.
