Abstract

Abstract          This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of conceptual change text assisted teaching aids in remediating students' misconceptions about dynamic fluid in Nanga Mahap 1 State High School. This study was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. The sample is 30 students of class XI MIPA 2 totaling 30 students selected by intact group. The data collection instrument uses multiple choice diagnostic tests without reason. Based on the results of data analysis obtained the findings, as follows: (1) There is a significant conceptual change (itung_count ^ 2 = 38,025; df = 1; α = 0,05) after being given remediation learning; (2) The level of remediation effectiveness is classified as moderate (DQM = 45.5%); (3) There is no significant conceptual change (itung_count ^ 2 = 0.26; df = 1; α = 0.05) after a certain period of time since remediation learning is given. Based on these results, it is expected that conceptual change text assisted by teaching aids can be used as an alternative to correct misconceptions.Keywords: Remediation, misconception, conceptual change text, props, dynamic fluid

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims is to establish the remediation of student?s misconceptions by using LKPD concept cartoons on Archimedes principle at SMP Kristen Immanuel II Sungai Raya. The form of this research is the pre-experimental design which is consisted of one-group of pre-test-post-test design. The sample of this research is students of class VIII D (n = 41 student) which are chosen by random sampling technique of an intact group. This research instrument is a diagnostic test which consists of 9 questions with multiple choices. Based on data analysis, the findings are : (1) The percentage reduction of students who misconceptions, after remediation are 81%, 68%, 64%, and the average is 71%. (2) There is a significant conceptual change whit Mc Nemar statistic test (?_hitung^2 = 44.17; dk = 1 ; ? =0,05) after remediation. The effect size is 1.86 (high category. Based on these results. It was expected that LKPD concept cartoons can be used as an alternative remediation activity to improve misconceptions experienced by the students. Keywords:  Remediation, Misconception, LKPD, Concept Cartoons, Archimedes Principle

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interactive Problem task and Experiments (P&E) method simulated by LabInApp to reduce students? misconception on oscillation material at SMP Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. The research design was one group pretest-posttest design. A total of 32 students were assigned as samples by purposive sampling technique. The data collected using multiple choise diagnostic tests with an open reason. Data analysis through DQM test found that students misconception of 32,8%, 46,9%, 60,0%, 37,5%, 35,5%, 34,9% and 32,9% with medium category. Based on the Mc Nemar test obtained price ?2count of 13.067; 5,882; 11,077; 16,056; 11,077; 4,900; 11,077; 12,071; 17,053; 14,063; 6,750; 6,125; 7,111; and 7,111. Overall price ?2count> ?2table = 3,841 with ? = 5%. Thus, there is a significant change in student misconception. The Wilcoxon Match Pairs test is used to test the effectiveness of interactive problem task and experiment methods. Wilcoxon Match Pairs test results obtained price zcount = -3.7973 and ztabel = 1.96 with ? = 5%. Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh remediasi menggunakan fast feedback di kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak dalam mengatasi kesalahan siswa menyelesaikan soal kalor. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Pre-experimental dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest yang melibatkan 39 siswa sebagai sampel yang dipilih menggunakan teknik intact group. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata persentase profil kesalahan siswa  pada pre-test dan post-test masing-masing sebesar 22% dan 6%, dengan persentase penurunan jumlah kesalahan fisis dan matematis untuk seluruh siswa masing-masing sebesar 85% dan 93%. Selanjutnya, dengan taraf signifikansi ( ) sebesar 5% diperoleh  untuk kesalahan fisis dan         untuk kesalahan matematis, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa remediasi mengunakan fast feedback berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penurunan jumlah kesalahan siswa menyelesaikan soal kalor. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif dalam meremediasi kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal fisika.   Kata kunci: Remediasi, Kesalahan, Kalor, Fast Feedback Abstract: The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of remediation using fast feedback at Senior High School in overcoming the students’ errors solving heat problems. The research method used was Pre-Experimental with One Group Pretest-Posttest Design that involved 39 students as sample selected by intact group. The results shows the average percentage of students’ errors profile in pre-test and post-test respectively by 22% and 6%, with percentage of reduction in the number of physical and mathematical errors for all students respectively by 85% and 93%. Furthermore, with a significance level  of 5% obtained      for physical errors and  for mathematical errors, this show the remediation using fast feedback have a significant effect on reduction the number of students’ errors solving heat problems. Abstract

 AbstractAbstract: This research was a pre-experimental design of one group-pretest posttest design to find out the effectiveness of remediation of students’ misconceptions about direct current circuit using predict-observe-explain (POE) strategy. The data were collected through diagnostic test in form of six multiple choices along with reasoning which led to have reabilty as of 0,5. There were 37 students of grade IXE of SMP Negeri 7 Pontianak involved in this research as research sample. They were chosen based on intact group random sampling. Based on the profile of misconception before and after remediation was applied, the value of pre-test and post-test showed difference as of 39%. The mean decrease of misconception for all questions based on the McNemar test results obtained x2 count (11.7)> x2 table (3,84), then there was a significant decrease of misconception after remediation was done using POE strategy. In addition, the effectiveness of remediation using the POE strategy was obtained using Cohen's Effect size of 1.65. This research is expected to be used as an alternative remediation activity for students to be able to overcome misconception experienced by students.Keywords: Remediation, Misconception, Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) strategy, Direct Current Circuit

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini berjudul efektivitas remediasi miskonsepsi siswa menggunakan strategi konflik kognitif pada materi hukum archimedes di Sekolah Menengah Pertama. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui remediasi miskonsepsi menggunakan strategi pembelajaran konflik kognitif efektif menurunkan persentase miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hukum Archimedes di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen, dengan bentuk Pre-Experimental Design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest. Dari hasil penelitian, ditemukan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa sebelum remediasi sebesar 80,72%, dan rata-rata persentase miskonsepsi siswa setelah remediasi sebesar 30,06%. Hal ini berarti terjadi penurunan miskonsepsi sebesar 50,65%. Tingkat efektivitas penerapan strategi konflik kognitif dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hukum Archimedes di kelas IX F SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak adalah 0,63 (tergolong sedang). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi konflik kognitif cukup efektif dalam meremediasi miskonsepsi siswa pada materi hukum Archimedes di kelas IX SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak.Kata kunci: Hukum Archimedes, Strategi Konflik Kognitif, Remediasi Miskonsepsi Siswa Abstract: This study entitled The Effectiveness of Students’ Misconception Remediation by Using Cognitive Conflict Strategy on Archimede’s Principle Material On Junior High School Level. The purpose of this study was to know whether the remediation of misconception by using cognitive conflict learning  strategy effectively reduced the percentage of students’ misconception on Archimedes’s principle material on eight grade students of SMP Negeri  5 Pontianak. The method used in this research was experimental methode, with Pre-Experimental Design with One Group Pretest-Postest design. Research finding showed that the mean of students’ misconception percentage before remediation was 80,72%, and mean of students’ misconception percentage after remediation was 30,06%. It meant that there is a decreasing of misconception by 50,65%. The level of effectiveness of cognitive conflict strategy implementation in remediating students’ misconception on Archimedes principle material on class VIII F of SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak was 0,63 (moderate). It proved that cognitive conflict strategy was quite effective in remediating students’s misconception on Archimedes’s  principle material on eight grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Pontianak.Keywords: Archimedes’s Principle, Cognitive conflict Strategies, Students’ Misconception Remediation

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) menentukan desain pembelajaran strategi inkuiri dalam pembelajaran IPA untuk perolehan kecakapan pemecahan masalah sesuai dengan implementasi strategi inkuiri. 2) menemukan pola pertanyaan dan preskripsi tugas belajar siswa yang dapat memandu dalam mencapai perolehan belajar mendefinisikan konsep yang selanjutnya digunakan untuk memecahkan masalah melalui multimedia dalam pembelajaran IPA yang meliputi : tipe belajar, gaya belajar, dan irama belajar siswa. 3) mendeskripsikan aktivitas belajar siswa dalam mencapai perolehan belajar konsep besaran dan satuan melalui pertanyaan-pertanyaan pemandu yang dimuat dalam media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (research and development).Aspek penilaian meliputi aspek materi, aspek media, dan aspek pembelajaran.Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian adalah: 1) menemukan pola pertanyaan dan preskripsi tugas belajar siswa yang dapat memandu dalam pemecahan masalah 2) aktivitas belajar siswa dalam mencapai perolehan belajar konsep besaran dan satuan melalui pertanyaan pemandu yang di muat dalam media pembelajaran. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh remediasi menggunakan model pembelajaran Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) berbantuan handout untuk mengatasi kesalahan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Pontianak dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal tentang hukum I Kirchoff. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-posttes design. Penelitian  ini melibatkan 36 siswa sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara intact group. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata persentase profil kesalahan siswa pada pre-test dan post-test masing-masing 90% dan 50%. Rata-rata persentase penurunan jumlah kesalahan siswa sebesar 70%. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa remediasi menggunakan model pembelajaran STAD berbantuan handout berpengaruh terhadap penurunan jumlah kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal tentang hukum I Kirchoff, dengan Z = −3,921; p = 0,000; α = 5% dan effect size sebesar 0,6199 tergolong tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi alternatif dalam kegiatan remediasi kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal fisika.   Kata kunci: Kesalahan, hukum I Kirchoff, STAD, Handout Abstract: The aim of this research is to determine the effect of remediation using Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by handout to overcoming the students’ errors in order  to resolving Kirchoff I law’s problem. The research method used was pre-experimental with one group pretest-posttest design. 36 students’ were being the sampel which is selected by intactt group. The result  shows the average percentage of students’ error profile in pre-test and post-test respectively by 90% and 50%. They are 70% decreasing of students’ error base on the result. Remediation using Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) model assisted by handout effect to reduction students’ error in order to resolving Kirchoff I law’s problem with Z = −3,921; p = 0,000; α = 5% and the  effect size 0,6199 (relatively high). Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the implementation of the problem based learning model which could improve student’s learning outcomes on elasticity less onto class XI at SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak. The design of this study is a quasi-experimental (quasy experimental design) with Non Equivalent Control Group Design. The population used in this study was all of the students of SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak which consisted of four classes. The samples taken consisted of two classes. The sampling technique in this study was an intact group consisted of experimental group and control group with the total students of 34 students. The data collection tool in this study was the pre-test and post-test which consisted of 7questions. The results of the study using the two-sample t-test assuming unequal variances obtained p value of 1.40409 x 10-12 from the significance level of 0.05 (5%), which indicated that there were differences of improvement in student’s learning outcomes between students who used problem based learning model with students who used learning model that is often carried out by one of the physics teacher at the SMA Negeri 6 Pontianak.Keywords: Problem based learning model, Learning outcomes, Elasticity

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase penurunan jumlah kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal pada materi kalor setelah diremediasi menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think pair share (TPS). Bentuk penelitian berupa pre-experimental design dengan rancangan one group pretest-postest. Sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 22 siswa kelas X IPA yang dipilih dengan teknik intact group (kelompok utuh). Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan berupa tes yang diberikan di awal penelitian (pre-test) dan tes di akhir penelitian (post-test) yang bersifat paralel. Skor validitas dan reliabilitas yaitu 4 (sedang) dan 0,5 (sedang). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penurunan jumlah siswa yang melakukan kesalahan pada tiap soal untuk kesalahan menuliskan rumus sebesar 53,41%; memasukkan angka 39,77%; menghitung 30,68% dan menuliskan satuan 56,81%. Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TPS efektif dalam meremediasi dengan nilai sebesar 0,83 kategori tinggi. Penelitian ini dapat dijadikan alternatif oleh guru untuk meremediasi kesalahan yang dilakukan siswa dalam mengerjakan soal.   Kata Kunci: Remediasi, Kesalahan Siswa, Kalor, TPS. Abstract: This study aims to figure out the percentage reduction in the number of mistakes made by students in solving Heat problems after been remediated using cooperative learning  Think Pair Share (TPS) model. This research is a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test post-test design. The research sample consisted of 22 students of class X IPA selected by using intact group technique. The Data collection tool is in a parallel form of test given at the beginning of the study (pre-test) and at the end of the study (post-test). The scores of validity and reliability are 4 (medium) and 0.5 (medium) respectively. Based on the analysis, data reduction in the number of students who make mistakes on each question in writing the formula of 53.41%; entering the number of 39.77%; counting of 30.68% and writing the unit of 56.81%. Cooperative learning TPS model is effective in remediating with a value of 0.83 or high category. This research can be used as an alternative for teachers to remediate mistakes made by students while working on the problems. Keywords: Remediation, Students’ Mistakes, Heat, TPS
