Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the management of a religious habituation program in shaping the character integrity of students at SDN Sukamanah, Bandung Regency. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted descriptively through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the management of the religious habituation program is carried out through the stages of planning, organizing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating. In the planning stage, the school sets character building goals, analyzes students' needs and characteristics, and designs religious habituation activities integrated into school activities. Organization is carried out through a clear division of roles and responsibilities between the principal and teachers in a collaborative manner. This program is implemented routinely and continuously through various religious activities supported by teacher role models and active student participation. Monitoring and evaluation are carried out continuously through observation of student behavior with an emphasis on guidance and continuous improvement. Challenges faced include limited time, differences in student backgrounds, and a lack of continuity in the religious education program between the school and families. Efforts made by the school include strengthening teacher commitment, implementing a personal approach to students, and increasing collaboration with parents. Overall, the management of the religious habituation program provides a positive contribution in consistently forming the character and integrity of students, which is integrated into the school culture.

Abstract

The development of gross motor skills in early childhood needs to be stimulated through enjoyable and well-directed learning activities. However, preliminary observations at TK IT Bintang Raya Cicalengka indicated that some children still experience difficulties in basic motor movements such as jumping, maintaining balance, and coordinating body movements. This study aims to describe the management of learning based on educational games in improving early childhood gross motor skills through the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle approach. The research employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study is grounded in theories of early childhood motor development and the concept of continuous improvement through the PDCA cycle in learning management. The results show that the implementation of educational games such as line jumping, ball throwing and catching, walking on balance boards, and simple obstacle games can enhance muscle strength, balance, coordination, and agility in children. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that educational game-based learning management using the PDCA approach is effective in improving gross motor skills of early childhood students at TK IT Bintang Raya Cicalengka.

Abstract

This study is predicated on the strategic role of principal leadership in enhancing the quality of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in elementary schools, a domain still confronting multifaceted challenges. This research aimed to describe and analyze the principal's leadership management in improving the quality of PAI learning at SDN Ciawi and SDN 4 Pakemitan, Tasikmalaya Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through a triangulation of methods, including observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies, to ensure data validity and richness. The findings reveal that principals in both schools implement transformational and participatory leadership styles. Key strategies include active involvement in collaborative planning, continuous professional development for teachers, strengthening the school's religious culture through habituation programs, and fostering effective collaboration with teachers and parents. These interventions resulted in a significant increase in student learning motivation, the quality of instructional delivery, and overall academic and character-based learning outcomes in PAI. The study concludes that effective and visionary leadership management by the school principal is a critical determinant that substantially contributes to the enhancement of PAI learning quality at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution demands vocational graduates possess strong discipline alongside technical competencies, yet 25% experience employment difficulties due to weak work ethic rather than skill deficiencies. This qualitative multiple case study examined character education management at SMKN 1 Pangandaran and SMKS Taruna Bangsa Ciamis through observations, interviews, and document analysis. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman's framework with triangulation for validity. Management functions operated systematically: planning established four discipline indicators (punctuality, SOP/safety compliance, task responsibility, professional communication); organizing created cross-functional coordination with clear role delineation; implementation combined school-based habituation through Teaching Factory with authentic industrial practice during internships; evaluation employed the CIPP model using rubrics, logbooks, and industry reports. Punctuality improved from 68% to 89%, and safety compliance increased from 72% to 94% during internships. Barriers including teacher preparation gaps, cultural differences, and short internship duration were addressed through professional development, graduated transitions, and standardized assessment instruments. Findings demonstrate that systematic management frameworks effectively bridge school-industry contexts for discipline formation. The study extends social learning and experiential learning theories into vocational character education, providing actionable practices for educators and policymakers while identifying needs for longitudinal research and exploration of higher-order professional competencies.
