Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of an e-module based on the Ibis Paint X application in improving learning outcomes of participants in the Technical Drawing material of the Fashion Technology vocational program. The research method uses a quantitative approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The instruments used include pre-tests and post-tests, as well as user response questionnaires. Data were analyzed using normality, homogeneity, and N-Gain tests. The results show that the use of the e-module significantly improves the understanding of training participants, with high effectiveness based on the N-Gain test results. Additionally, user responses indicate that the e-module is practical and suitable for use in training. These findings suggest that the integration of the Ibis Paint X application in the e-module supports adaptive and effective digital learning in vocational training environments.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the peer teaching model combined with the demonstration method on improving students’ skills in stepped turning (membubut bertingkat). The research was conducted on two groups: an experimental class using the peer teaching and demonstration approach, and a control class using conventional teaching methods. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. Data collection techniques included practical skill tests and documentation of student work. Data analysis was carried out using N-Gain scores and independent sample t-tests. The results showed that the experimental class achieved an average N-Gain of 79.02%, with most students falling into the “effective” category, while the control class reached an average of only 62.56%. The homogeneity test confirmed that the data variance was homogeneous. The t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating a statistically significant difference between the experimental and control groups. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the peer teaching model with the demonstration method is significantly more effective in enhancing stepped turning skills than conventional teaching methods. This study recommends the implementation of collaborative and hands-on learning strategies in vocational technical education to improve practical competencies.

Abstract

IPAS is a subject that is a combination of natural and social sciences in elementary school. Project Based Learning (PjBL) as a learning method that emphasizes project-based learning, is expected to improve students' understanding of concepts and skills with the implementation of learning media in the subject of IPAS. The purpose of this article is to explore and analyze the literature related to the implementation of PjBL in elementary schools, especially in the context of IPAS, and identify effective learning media in supporting the process. The article selection process was conducted by referring to strict inclusion and exclusion criteria, collecting relevant sources from scientific journals, conference proceedings, and research reports. Departing from this, this type of article is written with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) where data collection examines articles published on the google scholar database between 2020-2024.Then the articles are inclusion and exclusion according to keywords and indexed articles 1-4. The number of articles reviewed by researchers was 10 articles. Based on the results of the analysis, it shows that the use of Project Based Learning (PjBL) in IPAS learning can increase motivation, collaborative skills, and a deeper understanding of the material being taught. The learning media used in implementing PjBL starts from teaching aids such as Pop Up Books, Wordwalls and Flashcards which support collaboration between students. The implementation of PjBL in IPAS learning in primary schools has great potential to improve the quality of education, but requires better support in terms of training and development of learning media. ABSTRAKIPAS adalah mata pelajaran yang merupakan gabungan dari ilmu pengetahuan alam sosial di sekolah dasar. Project Based Learning (PjBL) sebagai metode pembelajaran yang menekankan pada pembelajaran berbasis proyek, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan siswa dengan implementasi media pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran IPAS. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk menggali dan menganalisis literatur terkait implementasi PjBL di SD, khususnya dalam konteks IPAS, serta mengidentifikasi media pembelajaran yang efektif dalam mendukung proses tersebut. Proses seleksi artikel dilakukan dengan mengacu pada kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang ketat, mengumpulkan sumber-sumber yang relevan dari jurnal ilmiah, prosiding konferensi, dan laporan penelitian. Berangkat dari hal ini, jenis artikel ini dtuliskan dengan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dimana pengumpulan data mengkaji artikel yang terpublikasi pada database google scholar antara tahun 2020-2024. Kemudian artikel diinklusi dan eksklusi sesuai kata kunci dan artikel terindeks 1-4. Jumlah artikel yang dikaji oleh peneliti sebanyak 10 artikel. Berdasarkan hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Project Based Learning (PjBL) dalam pembelajaran IPAS dapat meningkatkan motivasi, keterampilan kolaboratif, serta pemahaman yang lebih mendalam pada materi yang diajarkan. Media pembelajaran yang digunakan dalam implementasi PjBL mulai dari alat peraga seperti Pop Up Book, Wordwall dan Flashcard yang mendukung kolaborasi antar siswa. Implementasi PjBL dalam pembelajaran IPAS di SD memiliki potensi besar untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan, namun memerlukan dukungan yang lebih baik dalam hal pelatihan dan pengembangan media pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research aims to develop an assessment instrument to measure the high-level thinking abilities (HOTS) of fifth grade elementary school students in science learning. The instrument developed consists of 10 descriptive questions that have been validated. Data analysis using the Aiken formula and Rasch model shows that the instrument has good quality in measuring HOTS. In both small and large scale tests, the instrument was proven to be unidimensional and reliable. However, further analysis revealed the existence of several items that indicated gender bias. However, overall the instrument can be used to measure student HOTS. The results of this research contribute to the development of better assessment instruments to measure elementary school students' higher-order thinking abilities.   Keywords: test assessment, HOTS, IPAS, rasch

Abstract

Teachers must be able to develop learning media that are relevant to the times and cognitive development of students. The purpose of this research is to see how android-based learning media is developed and implemented in elementary school learning and how feasible the media is after going through the validation test. This research uses the literature review research method which is part of the qualitative method. This research was conduct by reviewing articles from Google Scholar using Publish or Perish using the keywords “Android-Based Learning Media Development”, the period 2020-2024, the type of journal publication, and with 100 search results which were then selected and resulted in 6 articles that were included in the focus and research criteria. The research concluded that android-based learning media can be developed using three research and development models which are ADDIE, DDDD, and Borg & Gall. The percentage of research and and development models used is ADDIE (50%), DDDD (33%), and Borg & Gall (17%). Based on the review of all articles, it is concluded that the android-based learning media that were developed are feasible to be implemented in the teaching and learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the role of pop-up books in improving elementary school students' writing skills. It employs the Systematic Literature Review Method, specifically designed to collect, assess, and analyze findings from various studies relevant to a specific research topic. The reviewed literature shows that pop-up books offer a novel solution in Indonesian language learning by presenting information interactively and engagingly through three-dimensional elements. The study's results indicate that pop-up books are effective in enhancing students' writing skills. Therefore, the use of pop-up books can be a solution for improving writing skills in elementary school students.

Abstract

Current technological developments have a significant impact on education, especially in the preparation of teaching materials that support 21st century skills, namely the critical thinking aspect. One of the relevant approaches is the application of the TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) framework in the development of teaching materials. TPACK integrates technology, pedagogy, content and knowledge to create interactive and relevant learning. This study aims to review the use of TPACK in science teaching materials in elementary schools and how its application affects students' critical thinking skills. Using the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method, the researcher identified 25 articles from 2018 to 2024, which are relevant to the theme of developing TPACK-based science teaching materials. Based on the results of the analysis, it is shown that TPACK-based teaching materials are effective in improving students' understanding of scientific concepts. From various studies, it is proven that the TPACK model can support and enrich learning through the use of interactive digital media. Based on the description above, it can be concluded that the development of TPACK-based teaching materials in basic education can improve the quality of science learning and improve students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid technological development, the world of education faces increasingly complex challenges. Teachers are not only required to master learning materials, but also be able to adapt to changes, utilize technology, and form competitive student characters. In this case, the principal has a strategic role as an education leader, especially in creating a work environment that supports and motivates teachers to achieve optimal performance. The teacher's work motivation itself is a psychological factor that affects the success of the teaching and learning process. This study aims to analyze the influence of school principals' leadership on teacher performance by considering the mediating role of work motivation in elementary schools in Tengaran District, Semarang Regency. The quantitative approach is used through path analysis to see the direct and indirect relationships between variables. The results of the study show that the leadership of school principals has a significant effect on work motivation and directly also on teacher performance. Teachers' work motivation also contributes significantly to performance, as well as mediating the influence of the principal's leadership on performance with a total influence of 0.723. These findings confirm the importance of effective leadership and high motivation in improving teacher performance. This research provides implications for education policymakers and school principals to develop transformative leadership and strategies to increase work motivation, in order to encourage the achievement of optimal teacher performance and improve the quality of basic education.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the difficulties students face in understanding abstract and complex solar system material at the elementary school level. The purpose of this study was to develop interactive digital learning mediabasedon3D augmented reality (AR) to improve students' cognitive abilities through differentiated learning. The development model used was ADDIE, which consists of five stages: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection was conducted through expert validation, teacher and student questionnaires, and pretest and post test assessments to measure learning outcomes. Validation was performed by two media experts and three subjectmatter experts, followed by a pilot test with sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Bandung. The research findings indicate that the developed 3D AR media falls in to the highly suitable category based on expert evaluations, is practical base don user feedback, and is effective in improving students' cognitive learning outcomes. These findings indicate that the integration of AR technology in differentiated learning can enhance student engagement, facilitate visual concept understanding, and support more meaningful learning at the elementary school level

Abstract

Bullying remains a serious issue in schools, as indicated by the high number of reported cases by the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) and the Indonesian Teachers Federation (FSGI). It is a form of intentional aggression aimed at causing physical, emotional, or social harm. A negative and unsupportive family environment, along with unhealthy peer relationships—especially when individuals feel superior to others—can trigger involvement in bullying behavior. Additionally, a non-conducive school climate can negatively impact students’ psychological well- being. This study aims to examine the direct and indirect effects of school climate support, family climate support, and peer influence on bullying behavior among junior high school students, with psychological well-being serving as a mediating variable. It also explores the direct effect of psychological well-being on bullying. A deductive approach was applied, starting from existing theories to develop hypotheses for empirical testing. The research used a quantitative survey method with an ex post facto design, as the data reflect past events without any manipulation of variables. Analytical techniques included regression and path analysis to assess both direct and indirect relationships. Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) up to the second-order level was conducted using LISREL version 8.80, and descriptive statistics were processed using SPSS version 21.Results showed that support from school, family, and peers significantly influences students’ psychological well-being. These three factors were proven to be strong predictors of mental resilience. It is recommended that future studies treat bullying as an independent variable, as empirical and theoretical evidence suggests it functions better as a risk factor affecting students’ mental health.
