One of the most important mathematical skills for students to master is the ability to solve problems. Students' enthusiasm for learning is one factor that influences their ability to solve mathematical problems. This study aimed to determine how students' learning interests in linear programming material influenced their ability to solve mathematical problems. This study employs a qualitative approach with a descriptive format. Interviews, mathematical problem-solving aptitude tests, and interest-based questionnaires were the research instruments used. After that, all of the data were analyzed in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification. 22 XI SMA Negeri 2 Nanga Pinoh students served as the study's participants. Nine students were chosen to be interviewed out of the 22 students. According to the findings, students in the high-interest categories were able to correctly solve problems using the stages of problem solving. Students with a moderate interest in solving problems are able to answer questions about solving problems and meet indicators, but they are still less systematic in their completion at several other stages. Students in the low-interest category can only finish when they understand the problem and have not been able to plan, implement, or reevaluate strategies

This study aimed to (1) determine the classification of students’ response in completing story questions based on the SOLO taxonomy; (2) discover the challenges of students in completing story questions on number patterns. The methodology used in this study was descriptive qualitative with a case study approach. The participants were 22 of 8th-grade students at SMP Sugiyopranoto Sanggau and the data sources were the results of story questions on number patterns and interview transcripts with the students. The result of this study indicates that response of high-achiever students reach the relational level of 8%, the students have already understand the number pattern materials quite well, take notes all the information contained on the questions, are able to correlate the separate information properly, write down the calculation steps and the conclusions given were also relevant. The response of moderate-achiever students reach the multistructural level of 40%, the students sufficiently understand the questions, take notes several important information and utilize it at the calculation, however, the correlation of separate information and concepts were not clear so that the calculation and the answers obtained were not reasonably right. Meanwhile, the response of low-achiever students are at the unistructural level of 21%, the students were still formula-oriented, and used merely one concept or one calculation step which caused the results obtained to be incorrect.

This research aims to describe students' adaptive reasoning abilities in solving contextual problems on absolute value topic based on adversity quotient (AQ) of climber, camper and quitter types at SMAN 1 Teluk Keramat. The method used in this research is descriptive. Based on the results of the research. This research subjects were six students at X MIPA 2 in the 2021/2022 academic year which three subjects have AQ of climber and three subjects have AQ of camper. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that the adaptive reasoning abilities of students who have the AQ climber type have different abilities from each other, two of the three subjects of the AQ climber type are able to answer all indicators of adaptive reasoning, and the other one is only able to answer four reasoning indicators; the adaptive reasoning ability of students who have the AQ camper type also has different abilities from each other but three subjects from the AQ Camper type are able to fulfill three of five indicators of adaptive reasoning; the adaptive reasoning ability of students who have the AQ quitter type was not found in this research.

This study aims to describe the talent of SMP Negeri 02 Banyuke Hulu class VII students who have field independent and field dependent cognitive styles in thinking mathematically and creatively about the subject matter. Descriptive qualitative is the method used in this research. Six seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 02 Banyuke Hulu were used as research subjects. Geft test to assess cognitive style and a description test consisting of three questions and three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, were used to analyze the data. The results showed that two students with field-independent cognitive style can achieve both indicators of fluency and flexibility, but one other student with the same cognitive style can only fulfill one indicator, namely flexibility. It is known that two students can fulfill three criteria of field dependent cognitive style, namely fluency, flexibility, and novelty. Two indicators namely fluency and flexibility can be met by one additional student who has a field dependent cognitive style. Thus students of grade 7 SMP Negeri 02 Banyuke Hulu with cognitive style field independent and field dependent have the ability to think creatively mathematically in the context of flat buildings. In working on description form problems there are still some difficulties students solve problems on the material of flat area.

ABSTRACTThis service activity began with the publication conditions of lecturers and students which were felt to be very lacking in both proceedings and journals on a national and international scale in West Kalimantan. This form of service is a workshop or training "to create and publish scientific articles in journals or proceedings for lecturers and students at STKIP Singkawang". This workshop was attended by lecturers and final semester students at STKIP Singkawang. The method for creating and publishing this article includes: 1) adapting the published article to applicable writing rules, 2) creating published article guidelines in the form of an opening, introduction, discussion, research methodology, research results, conclusion, and supporting sections. The subjects of this activity were students and lecturers of the mathematics education study program at STKIP Singkawang. The product of this activity is the publication of scientific works for lecturers and students. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews and documentation techniques. The stages of this service activity are: 1) Preparation: determining the location and obtaining permission to carry out this workshop activity; 2) Implementation: holding workshops, analyzing test results, and assisting with the preparation and publication of scientific articles, conducting workshops in class; 3) Final: The output of this activity is an article published in a national journal. The result of this service is the holding of workshop activities in accordance with the steps that have been determined and the holding of guest lectures with STKIP Singkawang. Keywords: Workshop, Publication, Journal or Proceeding ABSTRAKKegiatan pengabdian ini berawal dari kondisi publikasi dosen dan mahasiswa yang dirasa sangat kurang baik dalam prosiding maupun jurnal skala nasional dan internasional di Kalimantan Barat. Bentuk Pengabdian ini adalah workshop atau pelatihan “membuat dan mempublikasikan artikel ilmiah pada jurnal atau prosiding bagi dosen dan mahasiswa di STKIP Singkawang”. Workshop ini diikuti oleh dosen dan mahasiswa semester akhir di STKIP Singkawang. Cara pembuatan dan penerbitan artikel ini meliputi: 1) menyesuaikan artikel publikasi dengan kaidah penulisan yang berlaku, 2) membuat pedoman artikel publikasi berupa pembukaan, pendahuluan, pembahasan, metodologi penelitian, hasil penelitian, penutup, dan bagian pendukung. Subyek kegiatan ini adalah mahasiswa dan dosen program studi pendidikan matematika di STKIP Singkawang. Produk dari kegiatan ini berupa publikasi karya ilmiah bagi dosen dan mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa teknik observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Adapun tahapan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah: 1) Persiapan: penentuan lokasi dan mendapatkan izin pelaksanaan dalam kegiatan perbengkelan ini; 2) Pelaksanaan: mengadakan lokakarya, menganalisis hasil tes, dan membantu persiapan dan persiapan publikasi artikel ilmiah, melakukan lokakarya di kelas; 3) Final: Keluaran dari kegiatan ini adalah artikel yang diterbitkan dalam jurnal nasional. Hasil dari pengabdian ini adalah terselenggaranya kegiatan workshop sesuai dengan langkah-langkah yang telah ditetapkan dan terselenggaranya kuliah tamu bersama STKIP Singkawang. Pemahaman konsep merupakan syarat yang wajib diraih oleh siswa. Sebuah model yang dianggap dapat memudahkan siswa dalam memahami konsep suatu materi adalah model discovery learning. Discovery learning adalah sebuah model yang digunakan guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran dengan tujuan agar siswa dapat memahami materi melalui proses menemukan, menyelidiki serta menyimpulkan sendiri dari sebuah permasalahan yang dihadapi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Bentuk penelitian ini adalah pre-experimental designs jenis rancangan one-group pretest-posttest. Alat pengumpulan data berupa: lembar pre-test dan post-test, lembar observasi, lembar angket, serta intrumen pendukung berupa: RPP dan LKPD. Metode analisis data berupa: analisis deskriptif dan inferensial. Dari hasil penelitian, didapatkan hasil pencapaian seluruh siswa pada pemahaman konsep bangun datar segiempat yaitu: indikator “menyatakan ulang sebuah konsep” dari data pre-test tergolong kategori kurang dan dari data post-test tergolong kategori baik. Indikator “mengklasifikasikan objek menurut sifat – sifat tertentu” dari data pre-test tergolong kategori sangat baik dan dari data post-test tergolong kategori sangat baik, Indikator “mengaplikasikan konsep atau algoritma dalam pemecahan masalah” dari data pre-test tergolong kategori kurang sekali dan dari data post-test tergolong kategori kurang, terdapat peningkatan antara sebelum dan setelah menggunakan model discovery learning, dan terjadi peningkatan dengan nilai n-gain 0,53 kategori sedang.

Tujuan dilakukan penelitian ini adalah merangkum beberapa studi-studi tentang pengaruh media e-learning pada hasil belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dapat menjadi satu referensi yang mudah diakses oleh pengguna hasil penelitian sebagai pilihan media pembelajaran bagi peserta didik dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar maupun sebagai bahan pengembangan media e-learning yang jauh lebih baik untuk selanjutnya. Metode penelitian digunakan kuantitatif, teknik pengumpulan data berupa dokumen skripsi maupun tesis dan analisis data menggunakan meta-analisis. Terdapat 9 penelitian yang telah dipilih berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi, serta diperoleh dari perpustakaan Universitas Tanjungpura. Hasil penelitian diperoleh effect size (r) dari penggunaan media e-learning berdasarkan jenjang, pada jenjang SMP memiliki besaran pengaruh yang bertanda positif, sedangkan pada jenjang SD, SMA dan SMK memiliki besaran pengaruh yang bertanda negatif. Berdasarkan jenis media yang digunakan, seluruh kategori berdasarkan media tidak ada yang memiliki besaran pengaruh yang bertanda positif. Hasil perhitungan meta-analisis berbantuan aplikasi JASP diperoleh nilai r* sebesar -0,646 dan nilai p-value dari Z bernilai lebih dari 0,05. Kesimpulannya adalah penggunaan media e-learning tidak ada pengaruh positif dan tidak signifikan terhadap hasil belajar peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, hipotesis penelitian ditolak.AsbtractThe research purpose is to summarize the study of the effect of e-learning on student’s mathematics learning outcomes. Therefore, this research can be a reference that is easily accessible to users of research results as a choice of learning media for improving students learning outcomes and as a reference for developing better e-learning media in the future. The research method used is quantitative research, data collection techniques in the form of dissertation and thesis documents and data analysis used with a meta-analysis approach. There are 9 studies selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria that were obtained from the Tanjungpura University library. The results of the study obtained the effect size (r) of using e-learning based on the level, that junior high school has a positive effect size, meanwhile, that elementary school, senior high school, and vocational high school have a negative effect size. Based on the type of media used, all of them there are have no positive effect size. The results of the meta-analysis using the JASP application has a value of r* -0,646 and a p-value of Z value of more than 0,05. The conclusion is the apply of e-learning media has not a positive effect that is not significant on student’s learning outcomes. Therefore, the research hypothesis was rejected.

This dedication began with discussions between lecturers at two institutions discussing independent learning which was proclaimed by the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to be precise in February 2022 with a discussion agreement in the form of understanding the new curriculum and working together to develop learning tools by adapting the characteristics of the new curriculum. One of the goals that needs to be presented in learning tools is the inclusion of strengthening character education in an effort to build the realization of the Pancasila profile and its six dimensions. This service was held at UNU West Kalimantan with the form of implementation in the form of assistance in writing model-based learning semester learning design tools or case studies. The practice of using it uses the steps: 1) identification of general and specific problems in learning; 2) formulate various learning outcomes; 3) determine the required assessment tools; 4) develop a new curriculum learning process; 5) pouring the flow of learning objectives into lesson plans. With the results of the dedication, namely: 1) assisting in writing the rps until it is finished; 2) rps that is documented as a reference for the learning process; The formation of the draft RPS which was later ratified as an RPS guide at UNU West as one of the basic learning tools.

Penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan penalaran matematis peserta didik MAN 1 Pontianak dalam menyelesaikan soal TIMSS konten geometri. Terdapat sembilan peserta didik yang terpilih selanjutnya dibentuk kedalam tiga kelompok yaitu kelompok yang memiliki kemampuan awal matematika tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa 3 tes berbentuk uraian dan lembar wawancara untuk menggali kemampuan penalaran peserta didik secara mendalam. Berdasarkan hasil identifikasi ditemukan tujuh dari sembilan peserta didik memiliki kemampuan mengajukan dugaan yang akurat, sementara dua lainnya kurang akurat. Dari sembilan anak, hanya dua yang mampu memanipulasi fakta matematika dengan akurat, sementara lima lainnya masih kurang. Dua dari sembilan peserta didik mendapat hasil yang akurat pada indikator membentuk kesimpulan logis, sedangkan lima peserta didik kurang akurat dan dua peserta didik tidak akurat sama sekali. This research is qualitative and descriptive which aims to identify the mathematical reasoning ability of MAN 1 Pontianak students in solving TIMSS questions on geometry content. Nine students were selected and then formed into three groups, namely groups with high, medium, and low initial mathematical abilities. The instruments used in this study were 3 tests in the form of descriptions and interview sheets to explore students' reasoning skills in depth. Based on the identification results, it was found that seven out of nine learners could make accurate conjectures, while the other two were less accurate. Of the nine children, only two were able to manipulate mathematical facts accurately, while the other five were still lacking. Two out of nine learners got accurate results on the indicator of forming logical conclusions, while five learners were less accurate and two learners were not accurate at all.

In this study aims to determine the ability of mathematical literacy in the matter of equations and inequalities absolute value of one variable studied from high, medium and low self-esteem in students. The method used in this research is descriptive. The subjects in this study were students of class X IPA 6, totaling 33 students. The object to be studied is mathematical literacy in the matter of equations and inequalities of the absolute value of one variable studied from student self-esteem. The techniques used in data collection were questionnaires, mathematical literacy test questions and interviews. Students with low self-esteem cannot fulfill all indicators of mathematical literacy. Students who have moderate self-esteem, are able to understand mathematics based on concepts to describe mathematical problems into various contexts, are sufficiently capable of reasoning logically to solve mathematical problems. However, there are still those who have not been able to communicate it in the form of words or writing to predict and draw conclusions and have not been able to apply or practice based on concepts that have been understood as the basis for solving further mathematical problems. Students who have a high level of self-esteem are able to achieve all existing indicators.
