Abstract

In this study, researchers used Pre-Experimental Design with the form of One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. the sample in this study were 32 students of class XI TITL at SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak. the data collection technique in this study was an indirect communication technique using a questionnaire. The learning motivation of students who do not use multimedia martematics learning based on google sites has an average percentage of 71% (high). The learning motivation of students who use multimedia learning martematics based on google sites has an average percentage of 82% (very high). The effect of using multimedia learning martematics based on google sites on the learning motivation of class XI students at SMK Negeri 2 Pontianak is evidenced by the results of the Wilcoxon test whose probability value or Sig. 2 tailed of 0.000 <0.05 and an effect size value of 1.021 which shows an increase in learning motivation in the large category. Thus it can be concluded that the use of multimedia learning martematics based on google sites has a major effect on student learning motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the mathematical thinking process of students in terms of self confidence in the material of lines and angles. The research method used is descriptive qualitative. This research involved 20 students of class VII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Raya. The results of this study indicate that students with mathematical thinking processes with high self-confidence when solving line and angle problems are able to identify and translate information into mathematical form, students also apply the concept of lines and angles, can identify elements of the concept then develop it into a procedure, re-examine answers and plan problem solving. Students whose mathematical thinking process with moderate self-confidence when solving line and angle problems are able to identify and translate information into mathematical form, able to apply the concept of line and angle, can identify elements of the concept then developed into procedures, but students answer only until explaining and checking back and cannot plan problem solving. Students whose mathematical thinking process with low self-confidence are only able to identify and translate information into mathematical form and apply the concept of lines and angles, but cannot identify elements of the concept, cannot develop it into a procedure and also cannot explain and check back each step and cannot plan problem solving.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas rencana LKPD berorientasi 4C peserta didik untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik pada materi operasi matriks. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Sumber data penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil validasi tiga validator dan hasil angket kepraktisan pendidik dan peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket validasi dan kepraktisan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian ini menggunakan tiga langkah yaitu tahap define, design, dan development. Hasil validitas LKPD berorientasi 4C adalah 4,6 dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil kepraktisan LKPD berorientasi 4C dari pendidik sebesar 4,3 dengan kategori praktis, dan dari peserta didik sebesar 4,5 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Kualitas LKPD berorientasi 4C untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematika peserta didik kelas XI dapat dilihat dari dua aspek, yaitu hasil angket validasi dan kepraktisan dengan kategori sangat valid dan sangat praktis yang menunjukkan LKS memenuhi syarat yang diminta.

Abstract

Mathematical reasoning ability is one of the five standard processes in mathematics learning. There is a need for ability when learning mathematics, thus is considered important for the government to design education with a curriculum that can facilitate students to develop abilities either in mathematics learning or other learning. One of the government's efforts in designing education in Indonesia is to design a curriculum, namely the Kurikulum Merdeka, in which there is a project to strengthen the Profil Pelajar Pancasila. There are 6 (six) dimensions in the Profil Pelajar Pancasila, one of those is Dimensi Bernalar Kritis which is assumed to be closely related to the mathematical reasoning ability needed in learning mathematics. In this article, we will discuss the meaning of mathematical reasoning ability and the dimension of critical reasoning. In addition, it will be explored whether there is a relation between mathematical reasoning ability and Dimensi Bernalar Kritis and whether Dimensi Bernalar Kritis can be used to measure mathematical reasoning ability.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas perlunya strategi STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) dalam pendidikan, khususnya pembelajaran matematika. Seiring perkembangan zaman, teknologi informasi yang pesat dan tuntutan pembelajaran dalam Kurikulum Merdeka, strategi STEM memunculkan beberapa permasalahan dalam penerapannya. Siswa dan guru menunjukkan penurunan minat terhadap ilmu pengetahuan, terutama fisika, kimia, dan matematika. Dampaknya terasa pada pembelajaran matematika terkait sumber belajar guru yang digunakan di dalam kelas. Adanya kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) menjadi solusi untuk memfasilitasi guru dalam menghadapi tantangan ini. Kegiatan berfokus pada pelatihan guru matematika di sekolah menengah untuk mengembangkan pembelajaran matematika dengan strategi STEM dalam merdeka belajar. Mitra yang terlibat adalah guru dalam MGMP Matematika di Mempawah Hilir. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar observasi langsung yang digunakan untuk melihat kinerja guru dalam melakukan diskusi dengan kelompoknya dan wawancara, serta dokumentasi untuk menggali lebih dalam respons mereka terkait kegiatan PKM. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya upaya guru meningkatkan partisipasi siswa dalam sains dan matematika. Inisiatif termasuk pengembangan keterampilan STEM, kolaborasi dengan industri, dan pendirian taman teknologi. Dari sini, tujuan utama adalah meningkatkan pemahaman guru dan siswa pentingnya STEM dalam kehidupan nyata. Kesimpulan menyoroti pentingnya reformasi kurikulum dan pembelajaran lebih menarik bagi guru dan siswa terhadap matematika. Disadari bahwa masih banyak perlu diperbaiki dalam hal pengetahuan, minat, dan sikap terhadap strategi STEM. Saran disampaikan tentang perlunya standar jelas dan investasi dalam penelitian dan pendidikan untuk mencapai tujuan dari strategi pembelajaran STEM yang baik.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dampak penggunaan weblog sebagai media pembelajaran terhadap motivasi belajar siswa dan pemahaman konsep siswa. Eksperimental semu (Quasy Eksperimental Design) digunakan dalam rancangan penelitian ini. Populasi penelitian adalah 90 siswa kelas XII SMK Negeri 3 Pontianak, dan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah 30 siswa kelas XII yang terdiri dari siswa kelas XII Akutansi 1 dan XII Administrasi Perkantoran, yang ditentukan dengan teknik simple random sampling. Diperlukaan angket (kuesioner) untuk mengetahui motivasi belajar siswa, sedangkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep didapat melalui tes yang dilakukan pada akhir proses pemebelajaran. Analisis data motivasi belajar siswa dilakukan dengan uji Mann-whitney U-test. Sedangkan analisis data yang digunakan untuk mengetahui kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa dilakukan dengan uji-t. Hasil analisis uji Mann-whitney U-test dengan nilai asymp. Sig (2-tailed), maka dapat disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan motivasi belajar, dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran weblog mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Sedangkan hasil analisis uji-t memperoleh nilai , dengan ini disimpulkan terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa , ini menunjukan bahwa Kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa mempunyai pengaruh terhadap pengguanan media pembelajaran weblog.

Abstract

AbstractThe importance of representation is also contained in the principles and standards of school mathematics evaluation. As much as 26% of students in class XI MIA-2 are completed and as much as 74% is declared incomplete. Based on the results of the study and the interview of three students the researcher suspected an indication of low student representation ability in linear program subject matter. There is a positive relationship between the self-concept of mathematics and the mathematical achievement one of them is self-confidence. The method used in this study is a quantitative descriptive with a form of survey research. Based on the self-confidence level, students who have high self-confidence tend to have high mathematical representation capabilities. The ability of mathematical representation of students who have high self-confidence has the ability to translate with 86% classified very high, while the ability of transformation with the achievement of 78% classified high. Students who have self-confidence in the translation capabilities with a 69% high classified ability, while the ability to transform with 47% of being classified is moderate. Students who have low self-confidence, have an ability to translate with 58% are classified as moderate, while the ability of transformation with 36% classified is low.Keyword: Ability, Mathematical Representation, Self-Confidence

Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to describe the implementation of the REACT strategy (relating, experiencing, applying, cooperating, transfering) on the curved surfaces at grade IX B SMP Negeri 6 Pontianak. The research method was experiment method with a one case study design. The techniques of data collection used in this research were observation, test, and indirect communication with the instruments used were the learning implementation observation sheets, the student learning activity observation sheets, the learning outcomes tests, and the student response questionnaires. Based on the results of research and the data analysis, it was found that the implementation of learning with the REACT strategy was classified as good with an average score of 3.14, student learning activities with the REACT strategy were classified as active with an average percentage of 77.35%, classical student learning completeness had not been fulfilled by the percentage of students who achieved the completeness criteria was only 30%, and the student's response to learning the REACT strategy was positive with a score of 1.6861. Keywords: Curved surfaces, Implementation, REACT strategy,

Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to determine how the ability of mathematical representation of students solve quadrupests that have self-efficacy high, moderate, and low, in class VIII at Mts Mathla'ul Anwar Pontianak. The research method is qualitative descriptive research, the data collection techniques used are test techniques and direct communication techniques. The data collection tools used are polls, problems with Essai, and interviews. It is obtained that students with high self-efficacy can relatively understand the context of the problem, can present the information provided in visual, verbal and symbol forms; Self-efficacy students are having difficulties in resolving the given problem, unable to represent the complete and less precise representation, and still confusion in the representation of representations to be used so that Understand the context of the matter; Students with self-efficacy low difficulty in resolving the problem, do not understand the context of the given problem, can not determine and represent the representation correctly.  Keywords: Ability of Represenasi Matematis, Rectangular, Self-Efficacy

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is the 2013 curriculum that developed in Indonesia requires students to learn mathematic must reach a Higher Order Thinking Skill. To measure students Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS), test instrument need to be develop.This type of research is research and development. The instrument development by Tessmer which consists of Self-Evaluation, Experts Review, One to One, Small Group, dan Field Test stages. Data collection techniques are written and data collection tools are written test instruments. Based on  the results of the field test, the validity of the questions analyzed (C4) is 30%,  evaluating(C5) is 30% and creating (C6) is 40%, the reliability of the test instrument is high, namely 0.7254. the difficulty level is good with 70% moderate and 30% difficult, and good differentiation where there are no bad problems.
