AbstractThe purpose of this study was to analyze student learning obstacles from the results oferrors made by students in solving problems on the circle subjeck matter. Thisresearch method is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this studywere written tests and interviews. The subjects of this study were grade VIII studentsSMPN 13 Pontianak in year 2020/2021. The results showed that the errors thatoccurred were conceptual, procedural and technical errors. And there are sixlearning obstacles found, namely learning obstacle type 1 is learning in sketchingcircles, type 2 learning obstacle is learning obstacles in using rules or formulascorrectly, type 3 learning obstacle is learning obstacle in writing rules or formulaswith appropriate, type 4 learning obstacle is learning obstacle in problem solvingsystematics, type 5 learning obstacle is learning obstacle in understanding questionsand type 6 learning obstacle is learning obstacle in writing degree symbols on thevalue of an angle. And there are three learning obstacles that occur, ontogeny,didactic and epistemological learnng.Keywords: Analysis of learning obstacle, errors, circle probem.

AbstractThis research aimed to know the effectiveness application of cooperative learning model with Group Investigation (GI) type in the polyhedron topic at class VIIIA SMP Negeri 19 Pontianak. The research method was ecperimen method with the research design was pre-experimental design. The subject of this research were 28 students at class VIIIA SMP Negeri 19 Pontianak. Based on the data analysis that review four aspects, the result are: (1) learning implementations cooperative learning model with Group Investigation (GI) type in the categorized very good with average score 3,52; (2) student’s learning actitivities cooperative learning model with Group Investigation (GI) type in the categorized active (68,51%); (3) student’s outcome reached classical completeness with 23 student (82,14%) of student can achieve the minimum completeness criteria; (4) student’s respond cooperative learning model with Group Investigation (GI) type in the categorize positive with 22 student (79%) give a very positive respond and 6 student (21%) give a positive respond. So, cooperative learning model with Group Investigation (GI) type effective apply to the polyhedron topic at class VIIIA SMP Negeri 19 Pontianak Keywords: Cooperative Learning Type Group Investigation, Effectiveness, Polyhedron

AbstractThe research aims to find out students’ conceptual understanding in terms of mathematical representation ability in the function subject matter at SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive research method, especially descriptive quantitative. Based on the data analysis obtained: (1) Students’ conceptual understanding of the function subject matter with the visual category ability representation is at the medium criteria; (2) Students’ conceptual understanding of the function subject matter with the symbolic category ability representation is at the lowest criteria; (3) Students’ conceptual understanding of the function subject matter with verbal category ability representation is at the low criteria.Therefore, it can be concluded that the students' conceptual understanding of the function subject matter in the eleventh grade of SMA Negeri 8 Pontianak were varied, in which the visual representation ability was higher than the verbal representation ability and the symbolic representation ability. AbstractThis study aims to describe the analysis capabilities of students in the three-dimensional subject matter studied from the level of the thinking of Van Hiele in grade XII MIPA 1 of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The method used in this research is descriptive method with descriptive qualitative research. Subjects in this study were six students of grade XII MIPA 1 of SMA Negeri 4 Pontianak. The results of the research indicate that two students at the thinking level of visualization and two students at the thinking levels of analysis have not been able to find the indicators of the ability of analysis, while two students at the thinking level of abstraction is only one student who is able to find the indicators of the ability of the analysis.Keywords: Analytical Skills, Three-Dimensional, Levels of Thinking by Van Hiele

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan disposisi matematis siswa yang ditinjau dari kemampuan problem solving. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian ini adalah enam orang siswa kelas VIII J Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs N) 2 Pontianak yang terdiri dari dua orang siswa memiliki kemampuan problem solving tingkat tinggi, dua orang siswa memiliki kemampuan problem solving tingkat sedang, dan dua orang siswa memiliki kemampuan problem solving tingkat rendah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa dengan kemampuan problem solving tinggi memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis sangat tinggi, siswa dengan kemampuan problem solving sedang memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis tinggi, sementara itu untuk dua orang siswa yang memiliki kemampuan problem solving rendah, satu di antaranya memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis tinggi, dan satu lainnya memiliki tingkat disposisi matematis sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara disposisi matematis dengan kemampuan problem solving pada subjek yang diambil. Kata kunci: Disposisi Matematis, Kemampuan Problem Solving Abstract: The purpose of this research is to describe students’ mathematics disposition that reviewed by problem solving ability. The method that used is descriptive method with case study. The subject of this research are six students of grade VIII J in Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTs N) 2 Pontianak that consist of two students who have the highest ability of problem solving, two students who have medium ability of problem solving, and the last two students who have lowest ability of problem solving. The result of this research show that the students with high ability of problem solving have the highest mathematics disposition, the students with medium problem solving have high mathematics dispositions, whereas for two last students with low problem solving, one of them have high mathematics disposition and other have medium mathematics disposition. Based on this research we can conclude that there is no association between mathematics disposition and problem solving ability on the subject in this research. AbstractThe fact in math education is adaptive reasoning ability that is still low. Students’ adaptive reasoning ability are influenced by some factors, one of them is teacher as a center of learning so that the mathematical concepts are conveyed in an informative manner without deep understanding. Therefore, Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach is used to increase adaptive reasoning ability. This research aimed to explore information about students’ adaptive reasoning ability in set theory subject matter of grade VII at SMPN 7 Sungai Raya. The method of this research is experiment and research design is one-shot case study. The samples of this research are 27 students of grade VII D at SMPN 7 Sungai Raya. Essay questions are used to collecting the students’ adaptive reasoning ability outcomes. The results of data analysis showed that the average of posttest score is 73,61. Based on the t-test with the significance level α=5% found that the adaptive reasoning ability of students after learning with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach is included in the high category. It means that application of Problem Based Learning (PBL) approach is good in set theory subject matter at grade VII SMPN 7 Sungai Raya. AbstractThis research aimed to know and describe student’s learning outcome and student’s learning activities in the implementation of open ended learning on integer basic operations at grade VII SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak. The research method was experiment method with a one shot case study design. Based on the data analysis that review two aspects; (1) student’s learning outcomes, there was most students mastering the basic operations of integer, with division is the most controlled integer basic operations and then followed by addition, substraction, and multiplication; (2) student’s learning activities categorized as high, with listening activity is the highest activity that classified as very high, then followed by visual activities that classified as high, oral activity that classified as enough, and mental activity that classified as enough. Therefore concluded in general that learning using an open ended had positive effect on integer basic operations at grade VII of SMP Negeri 3 Pontianak. AbstractThis study aims to analyze the quantitative reasoning of senior high school students in essay test of trigonometric subject matter. Quantitative reasoning that emphasizes the effective involvement of life and daily work in solving problems makes quantitative reasoning in accordance with the demands of the 2013 curriculum which is based on constructivism curriculum. Students have quantitative reasoning if they have six aspects of ability. The six aspects are representation, interpretation, calculation, analysis, communication and assumptions. This research uses descriptive exploratory methods and with case study research. Data collection uses essay test questions with trigonometric material and interview guide sheets. Six students were chosen with different abilities, namely high, medium and low. After conducting research on the six children, it can be concluded that in general students do not have good quantitative reasoning. this is because the six children examined have not been able to fulfill all six aspects of quantitative reasoning, especially the aspects of student is communication are classified as very low with a percentage of 0%.Keywords: Essay Test, Quantitative Reasoning, Trigonometric

AbstractThis reseach aims to determine the effectiveness of the application of the Guided Discovery Learning model in probability material in grade XII SMAN 02 Sungai Raya. The method in this reseach is an experimental method, the type of research used is a pre-experimental design with one shot case study design. The subject used was students grade XII IPA 3 in SMAN 02 Sungai Raya. Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques and direct observation techniques. Data collection tools used in the form of tests of problem solving abilities and observation sheets of learning activities of students. Based on the results of the reseach, the feasibility of learning using the Guided Discovery Learning model in learning conducted during the two meetings is quite good, amounting to 3.16. Learning activities of students while using the Guided Discovery Learning model are classified as active, amounting to 69.9%. The problem solving abilities of students who are given learning using the Guided Discovery Learning model are still classified as moderate because only 80% of students reach KKM which is 76. The application of the Guided Discovery Learning model to the probability material in grade XII of SMAN 02 Sungai Raya is not effective. Keyword: Model Guided Discovery Learning, Probability

This study discusses the process of solving algebraic expressions inclass VII MTs Hidayatul Muhsinin. The method used is a qualitativedescriptive approach. Subjects in this study amounted to fifteenstudents. Data were collected using written tests and interviews.Data were analyzed using qualitative analysis techniques based onPolya stages. The results showed that, students at the stage ofunderstanding the problem expressed in writing, writing down theknown elements and the elements being asked, then at the stage ofmaking a written problem-solving plan, writing down the knownelements and the elements that were asked on the question. In thestage of implementing the completion plan, students still make manymistakes because of the lack of accuracy in the process of solvingalgebraic expression questions. At the last stage, students checkanswers. At the time of the interview, students were able tounderstand what variables, coefficients and constants were.
