Abstract

This paper addresses the challenge of accurately classifying sleepiness levels based on the Karolinska Sleepiness Scale (KSS) using Eye Aspect Ratio (EAR) data, especially when class imbalance leads to biased predictions. The research proposes a deep learning framework that integrates a Multi-Layer Perceptron (MLP) with the Synthetic Minority Over-sampling Technique (SMOTE) to balance the training data. EAR features, representing eye closure patterns, are extracted from video frames, and SMOTE is applied to generate synthetic data for underrepresented sleepiness classes. By training the MLP model on this balanced dataset, the system achieves a 97.6% classification accuracy in distinguishing four distinct sleepiness levels based on the KSS, demonstrating its effectiveness in reducing prediction bias and managing class imbalance, both crucial for real-time drowsiness detection systems

Abstract

The Iddah period is a period that must be passed by a woman whose husband has died, is divorced by her husband, or whose Iddah period has expired. The provisions of the Iddah period in Islamic law have been determined based on the evidence of the texts, which are based on the conditions of society during the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. However, along with the advancement of medical technology, there are several provisions of the Iddah period that need to be reviewed. This study aims to examine the provisions of the Iddah period in Islamic law in the era of advancing medical technology. This study uses a normative legal research method with an interpretation approach. The results of the study indicate that there are several provisions of the Iddah period that need to be reinterpreted in the era of advancing medical technology. For example, the provisions of the Iddah period of 4 months and 10 days for women whose husbands have died need to be adjusted to the development of medical science regarding gestational age. Reinterpretation of the provisions of the Iddah period needs to be carried out so that Islamic law remains relevant and in accordance with the times. This reinterpretation also needs to be carried out while adhering to the principles of Islamic law, namely justice, welfare, and legal certainty. Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has significantly impacted structural transformation and the dynamics of social control within society. AI not only changes how individuals interact with the world but also influences various sectors such as the economy, education, and government. Large-scale automation and data processing enable greater efficiency but also present complex social challenges, including technological access inequality, job displacement, and ethical and privacy concerns. This study aimed to analyze the implications of artificial intelligence (AI) on the structural transformation and dynamics of social control in society. This article discusses how AI has become a catalyst for social change, affecting human interaction patterns, job structures, and the legal regulations needed to ensure that technological advancements align with principles of justice and inclusivity. A normative juridical approach is used to analyse the impact of AI on legal and social norms, as well as how regulations can address emerging challenges. The study’s findings indicate that AI holds significant potential to improve human quality of life through efficiency and innovation but may also pose threats if not accompanied by appropriate regulations. Therefore, balanced policies are required to ensure that technological advancements are utilized while protecting human rights, allowing AI to contribute positively to social transformation. This study highlights the need for balanced and ethical regulation of AI. Practically, the findings help policymakers design fair rules to minimize the risks and maximize the benefits of AI for society

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the teaching factory program at SMKs Mambaul Ulum Bata-Bata which begins with the planning of production facilities and the preparation of qualified educators. Collaboration with the surrounding community and alumni plays a crucial role in the procurement of raw materials and product distribution. Weekly evaluations are carried out to monitor the development of student competencies and identify obstacles in the implementation of the program. The findings show that students' involvement in the process of processing, packaging, and marketing products directly has fostered a strong entrepreneurial mentality, motivating them to become self-employed after graduation. The significance of this program is evidenced by the increase in the absorption of graduates in the world of work by up to 30% over the past three years. The results of the study indicate that the teaching factory learning model is an effective approach in preparing vocational school graduates who are competitive and ready to enter the job market and develop independent businesses.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pengaruh label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian pada produk frozen food pada mahasiswa fakultas ekonomi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pengaruh label halal terhadap keputusan pembelian Produk Frozen Food Pada Mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi Bisnis Islam IAI Darussalam. Penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas: Label Halal (X), variabel terikat: Keputusan Pembelian (Y) menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa label halal secara parsial berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap keputusan pembelian Mahasiswa pada Fakultas Ekonomi Bisnis Islam IAI Darussalam. Hal ini dibuktikan dari nilai Sig. = 0,000 < α = 0,1 dan nilai thitung = 3,823 > ttabel = 0,1968. Maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Berdasarkan uji koefisien determinasi diketahui bahwa label halal secara Parsial berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian sebanyak 17,7%.

Abstract

Lingkungan belajar yang menyenangkan dan aman bagi siswa sangat penting untuk pendidikan yang baik, tetapi keadaan di sekolah menunjukkan beberapa penyimpangan. Selain berfungsi sebagai tempat untuk memperoleh informasi, sekolah terkadang dapat mengalami penganiayaan. Perilaku mengerikan ini akan menciptakan suasana belajar yang aman dan nyaman, terutama di sekolah. Baik korban maupun pengganggu akan memiliki efek psikologis dan fisik dari bullying yang akan mengganggu kehidupan sehari-hari mereka. Remaja di sekolah menengah sering dikaitkan dengan krisis identitas atau proses mata pencaharian identitas. Konseling, percakapan yang menarik, dan distribusi sumber daya pendidikan adalah beberapa strategi yang digunakan dalam proses sosialisasi ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkarakterisasi jenis perilaku perundungan yang terjadi di SMA APIPSU Medan. Program ini bertujuan untuk menginformasikan kepada siswa SMA APIPSU tentang risiko perundungan, bagaimana menghentikan dan menghadapinya, dan bagaimana korban bisa mendapatkan perlindungan hukum. Permainan edukatif digunakan untuk membantu siswa memahami empati dan toleransi terhadap orang lain, yang merupakan salah satu strategi yang digunakan untuk meningkatkan keberhasilan program. Hasil dari program ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mulai memahami efek merugikan dari bullying dan menunjukkan pergeseran pola pikir untuk membangun lingkungan belajar yang lebih aman dan ramah, pemahaman siswa tentang pentingnya melestarikan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan menyenangkan telah meningkat sebagai hasil dari latihan ini, selain mereka mulai menunjukkan perilaku yang lebih positif dalam interaksi sekolah sehari-hari

Abstract

In running a household, no one is free from domestic conflicts. These domestic conflicts are caused by various factors, which ultimately lead to the filing of divorce cases in the Religious Court, either through talak or gugat. These cases can be resolved through mediation in various forms. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of mediation in resolving domestic conflicts in divorce cases at the Religious Court in Banten Province. The research method employed is qualitative research with a juridical approach, utilizing data collection techniques that include observation and document study. The results show that mediation plays a significant role in reducing the divorce rate by providing couples with a space to dialogue and seek reconciliation solutions. However, various obstacles such as the psychological unpreparedness of the couples, family pressure, and a lack of understanding of the mediation concept often hinder the success of mediation. Juridically, mediation has been carried out by the applicable regulations. This is evident from the procedures followed during the mediation process based on the regulations governing it, but mediation conducted in the Religious Court in Banten Province still experiences many failures. Therefore, efforts are needed to improve the quality of mediation through mediator training, socialization regarding the benefits of mediation, and psychological support for couples facing marital conflict.

Abstract

In response to issues related to compensation and workload, RSUD Besuki Situbondo has taken the initiative to reduce these challenges by fostering a comfortable work culture and providing complete facilities. The hospital also promotes job satisfaction among employees through appreciation and support for personal and professional development. Thus, compensation, workload, work culture, job satisfaction, and employee performance are closely interconnected. This study aims to analyze and examine the influence of compensation, workload, and work culture on the performance of non-civil servant (non-ASN) employees, with job satisfaction as an intervening variable at RSUD Besuki Situbondo. This is a quantitative research study involving a population of 67 non-ASN employees. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling, applied to a population with hierarchical or layered structures. Data analysis and hypothesis testing were conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling – Partial Least Square (PLS-SEM) method. The results of direct effect hypothesis testing using Smart PLS 3.0 indicate that compensation, workload, and work culture all have a significant positive effect on job satisfaction. Additionally, compensation, workload, and work culture also significantly and positively affect employee performance. Job satisfaction itself has a significant positive impact on performance. Furthermore, the indirect effect analysis shows that compensation, workload, and work culture significantly and positively affect performance through job satisfaction.

Abstract

The existence of pesantren as educational institutions faces challenges from rapid changes in the increasingly complex era of globalization. Traditional pesantren with individual leadership models find it difficult to develop due to non-collective development approaches. Modern pesantren face moral crisis challenges due to insufficient internalization of moral values in pesantren activities sourced from religious texts. Combined traditional-modern pesantren face dilemmatic challenges in maintaining traditional values while responding to changing times, causing pesantren to tend to prioritize technical management while neglecting mastery of classical Islamic texts (kitab kuning). These challenges must be responded to responsively by implementing pesantren managerial innovations to maintain sustainability amid societal demands. Pesantren managerial innovation is expected to become a strategic step in maintaining traditional pesantren values and evolving with modernity, without losing the indigenous identity of pesantren. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature review approach analyzing various relevant literature sources. This study aims to analyze the importance of pesantren managerial transformation by integrating traditional leadership models with modern management principles. Pesantren managerial transformation can use strategic management concepts in achieving pesantren goals including visionary planning, measurable goal setting, and continuous evaluation.

Abstract

Perseroan terbatas dapat memenuhi kewajiban sosial dan lingkungannya jika ingin mempertimbangkan faktor-faktor tersebut saat melakukan operasi komersialnya, hal yang sama tercantum dalam Pasal 74 Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 2007 tentang Perseroan Terbatas. Satu tujuan penelitian adalah untuk menentukan bagaimana Pasal 74 memenuhi kewajiban sosial dan lingkungannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode hukum normatif bersama dengan analisis normatif kualitatif untuk mencapai tujuannya dan mendapatkan data yang lengkap. Studi literatur dan peraturan perundang-undangan digunakan sebagai data pendukung dalam proses pengumpulan data. Selanjutnya, data yang terkumpul ditampilkan sebagai kalimat naratif yang telah disusun secara metodis. Pasal 74 Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 2007, yang terdiri dari empat pasal dan mengatur perseroan terbatas, masih belum dipenuhi oleh masyarakat bisnis, menurut kesimpulan penelitian. Undang-Undang Nomor 40 Tahun 2007 yang mengatur tentang Perseroan Terbatas, Pasal 74 ayat (2), mensyaratkan bahwa biaya yang berkaitan dengan pelaksanaan kewajiban sosial dan lingkungan harus dianggarkan, diperkirakan, dan dilaksanakan secara adil dan wajar, yang sangat relevan dalam hal ini. Dalam praktiknya, bisnis tidak menyisihkan uang untuk biaya tanggung jawab lingkungan dan sosial karena kebijakan pemilik masih mengatur bagaimana hal itu dilakukan.
