Abstract

Mental health is a basic aspect of human life that demands an integrative approach. Ibn Hazm Al-Andalusi (994-1064 CE) offered a concept of the soul that combines the rational, emotional, and spiritual dimensions, which is still quite relevant to address contemporary mental health challenges. This study aims to explore Ibn Hazm's thoughts on the concept of the soul, mental illness, and its healing methods, and analyze their relevance in the context of modern psychology. Using qualitative methods with content analysis. The results in this study are (1) the soul as an eternal entity that is the center of morality and human consciousness, which consists of rational and affective aspects. (2) the main root of mental illness consists of three things-psychological problems (such as envy and pride), excessive love of the world, and despair (3) To overcome this, Ibn Hazm compiled an integrated method of healing the soul through self-introspection, correct knowledge, moral training, simplicity of life, and the power of love. This shows that Ibn Hazm's approach is able to enrich contemporary psychological interventions, especially in aspects of spirituality and moral balance. In addition, Ibn Hazm's thought offers an important contribution to the development of Islamic psychology based on cultural and religious values. This research is expected to serve as a foundation for further studies on the integration of classical Islamic concepts with modern mental health practices.

Abstract

Background: Islamic manners education is the main pillar in forming a child's character that is complete and dignified, especially in the midst of globalization, moral crisis, and value disorientation that has hit the modern family institution Research Objectives: This article aims to examine the concept of ta'dib according to Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas and its relevance in children's moral education in the family environment Methods: The method used is a literature study with a content analysis approach to relevant primary and secondary literature. Results: The results of the study indicate that: (1) ta'dib places adab as the core of Islamic education that includes spiritual, intellectual, and social dimensions holistically; (2) this concept emphasizes the close relationship between knowledge, deeds, and morals as a unity that cannot be separated in the education process; and (3) the implementation of ta'dib in the family through parental role models, the habituation of Islamic values from an early age, and the internalization of spiritual values has proven effective in forming children's characters that are honest, responsible, and civilized. Conclusions: Al-Attas' concept of ta'dib makes an important contribution to the formulation of a paradigm for children's moral education that is rooted in Islamic values and is able to respond to the challenges of the times philosophically and practically. Thus, ta'dib is not only relevant as a theoretical discourse, but also as an applied approach in family education that is oriented towards the formation of a whole person.

Abstract

Perilaku mencerminkan kepribadian dan nilai individu, serta memainkan peran penting dalam kehidupan pribadi, sosial, dan profesional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan membandingkan proses pembentukan perilaku dalam mengembangkan kepribadian berdasarkan perspektif dari Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah dan Carl Rogers. Penelitian dilakukan melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode kepustakaan (library research). Pengumpulan data yang digunakan melalui buku-buku dan artikel penelitian terkait yang paling relevan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Proses pembentukan perilaku menurut Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah memiliki enam tahap yaitu al-khatirah (lintasan pikiran), al-fikrah (pikiran yang menetap), al-‘iradah (keinginan), al-‘azimah (niat dan tekad), al-‘amal (tindakan nyata), dan al-‘adah (kebiasaan); 2) Proses pembentukan perilaku menurut Carl Rogers memiliki lima tahap yaitu kesadaran (awareness), tertarik (interest), evaluasi (evaluation), mencoba (trial), dan menerima (adoption); 3) Perbedaan pembentukan perilaku dalam mengembangkan kepribadian dalam pandangan Carl Rogers terletak pada evaluasi diri dan aktualisasi diri yang subjektif, sementara Ibnu Qayyim menekankan niat, tekad, serta kepatuhan pada syariat Islam untuk mendapatkan ridho, rahmat Allah, dan keberkahan. Penelitian ini dapat memperkaya pengetahuan tentang proses pembentukan perilaku yang mempengaruhi perkembangan kepribadian individu menurut perspektif Ibnu Qayyim Al-Jauziyyah dan Carl Rogers.

Abstract

Al-Kindi's concept of happiness offers a synthesis of rational philosophy and Islamic spirituality that is highly relevant in the modern era. This study aims to explore Al-Kindi's concept of happiness philosophically and practically, by exploring the methods of achieving it and its relevance in facing the challenges of contemporary life. The method used was a qualitative library research approach to collect and analyze data from various sources. The results show that Al-Kindi places reason as the primary instrument for achieving true happiness. He emphasized the importance of self-control over desires and emotions, as well as closeness to God as the pinnacle of eternal happiness. His rational approach to overcoming grief, which bears similarities to Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), proves the relevance of his thinking in the context of modern psychology. Thus, Al-Kindi's thinking not only enriches the treasury of Islamic philosophy but also provides psychospiritual solutions for building a meaningful and happiness.

Abstract

Penundaan pernikahan (waithood) akibat ketidakstabilan ekonomi dan tuntutan karier semakin marak di kalangan generasi muda Indonesia, sehingga penting menelaahnya secara kontekstual dalam perspektif keislaman. Artikel ini bertujuan mengkaji makna kesiapan menikah dalam QS An‑Nur: 32 menggunakan pendekatan Hermeneutika Double Movement Fazlur Rahman, untuk merumuskan sintesis antara teks Al‑Qur’an dan dinamika sosial kontemporer. Penelitian kualitatif bersifat library research, dengan sumber primer berupa teks Al‑Qur’an dan karya Fazlur Rahman, serta data sekunder dari jurnal, buku, terkait penundaan pernikahan. Metode analisis mencakup: (1) Gerakan Pertama: menelusuri konteks historis dan linguistik QS An‑Nur: 32 untuk memahami maksud asli ayat; (2) Gerakan Kedua: menarik nilai moral universal dan menerjemahkannya ke dalam konteks sosial ekonomi modern. Hasil dan pembahasan menunjukkan bahwa QS An‑Nur: 32 menegaskan kesiapan finansial, emosional, dan spiritual sebagai prasyarat sakral sebelum menikah. Pada Gerakan Pertama ditemukan bahwa larangan “berkhalwat” atau istilah lain berzina menandai perlunya persiapan matang, sedangkan pada Gerakan Kedua, penundaan nikah yang bertujuan memperkuat fondasi keluarga dipandang sebagai manifestasi tanggung jawab moral, bukan pengabaian perintah agama. Sintesis hermeneutik ini menegaskan bahwa waithood dapat menjadi strategi etis untuk mewujudkan keluarga berkualitas. Kontribusi artikel terletak pada pengembangan wacana keagamaan yang menegaskan kesiapan sebagai syarat utama pernikahan, sekaligus menjadi acuan bagi pemuka agama dan pembuat kebijakan dalam merumuskan kebijakan sosial‑keagamaan yang lebih berorientasi pada kualitas keluarga.

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis fenomena dispensasi nikah di Indonesia melalui perspektif empiris-positivistik Auguste Comte, guna memberikan pemahaman ilmiah yang objektif terhadap dinamika sosial-hukum yang berkembang pasca perubahan batas usia perkawinan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah praktik dispensasi nikah sebagai realitas sosial-hukum yang tercermin dalam putusan Pengadilan Agama, statistik perkara Badan Peradilan Agama, serta regulasi hukum terkait. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif dengan landasan positivistik, melalui pengumpulan data empiris institusional yang dianalisis menggunakan teknik observasi, klasifikasi, analisis pola, serta hubungan sebab–akibat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) positivisme Auguste Comte menyediakan kerangka epistemologis yang menempatkan fakta empiris sebagai sumber pengetahuan yang sah, dengan kebenaran diuji melalui konsistensi dan keterulangan data; (2) fenomena dispensasi nikah di Indonesia merupakan realitas sosial-hukum yang objektif dan terstruktur, ditandai oleh pola peningkatan, stabilisasi, dan variasi kasus yang dapat diukur lintas wilayah dan waktu; serta (3) telaah positivistik menegaskan bahwa dispensasi nikah berfungsi sebagai mekanisme keteraturan sosial yang lahir dari interaksi antara norma hukum dan kondisi sosial yang konkret. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan pendekatan empiris dalam kajian hukum keluarga agar analisis kebijakan lebih berbasis data dan realitas sosial.ABSTRACT: This article aims to analyze the phenomenon of marriage dispensation in Indonesia through the empirical-positivistic perspective of Auguste Comte, in order to provide an objective scientific understanding of the socio-legal dynamics that have developed following changes to the minimum age of marriage. The subject of this research is the practice of marriage dispensation as a socio-legal reality reflected in Religious Court decisions, case statistics from the Directorate General of Religious Courts, and relevant legal regulations. The research employs a qualitative-descriptive method grounded in a positivistic approach, using institutional empirical data analyzed through observation, classification, pattern analysis, and causal relationships. The findings indicate that (1) Auguste Comte’s positivism provides an epistemological framework that positions empirical facts as the sole legitimate source of knowledge, with truth verified through data consistency and recurrence; (2) the phenomenon of marriage dispensation in Indonesia constitutes an objective and structured socio-legal reality, as evidenced by measurable patterns of increase, stabilization, and variation in cases across regions and time; and (3) a positivistic analysis confirms that marriage dispensation functions as a mechanism of social order arising from the interaction between legal norms and concrete social conditions. This study recommends the adoption of empirical approaches in family law studies to ensure that policy analysis is more firmly grounded in data and social reality.

Abstract

AbstractAesthetics in the family can be created by fulfilling mutual obligations. Based on the will and ends with the pleasure of God. The purpose of writing this article is to describe the implementation of the aesthetic concept of M. Iqbal's ideas for the fulfillment of mutual obligations for husband and wife. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach that aims to explore M. Iqbal's aesthetic concepts and their implementation in fulfilling mutual obligations between husband and wife. There are three research results in this article, that M. Iqbal's aesthetic concept contained two principles, namely expression, and function. One of the means to create a sakinah mawaddah wa rahmah family is to fulfill the mutual obligations between husband and wife. The fulfillment of mutual obligations between husband and wife is the beginning of the creation of aesthetics in the family. The beautiful form of the family is oriented toward the expression of love, social function, and the Divine. This expression of love is actualized by actions to fulfill mutual obligations based on awareness of their position as husband and wife, as well as the functioning of the family as the initial environment that leads to Godhead, human development, and social progress.   AbstrakEstetika dalam keluarga dapat tercipta dengan cara saling memenuhi kewajiban bersama. Didasari dengan kemauan dan diakhiri dengan rida Tuhan. Tujuan penulisan artikel ini untuk menguraikan tentang implementasi konsep estetika gagasan M. Iqbal terhadap pemenuhan kewajiban bersama bagi suami istri. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif yang bertujuan mendalami konsep estetika M. Iqbal dan implementasinya dalam pemenuhan kewajiban bersama antara suami istri. Ada tiga hasil penelitian dalam artikel ini, [1] dalam konsep estetika M. Iqbal terkandung dua prinsip, yakni ekspresi dan fungsi. [2] salah satu sarana untuk mewujudkan keluarga sakinah mawaddah wa rahmah adalah dengan memenuhi kewajiban bersama antara suami istri. [3] pemenuhan kewajiban bersama antara suami istri merupakan awal mula terciptanya estetika dalam keluarga. Bentuk keluarga yang indah berorientasi pada ekspresi cinta, fungsi sosial dan Ketuhanan. Ekspresi cinta tersebut diaktualisasikan dengan tindakan untuk saling memenuhi kewajiban bersama atas dasar kesadaran akan posisinya sebagai suami istri, serta memfungsikan keluarga sebagai lingkungan awal yang mengarahkan pada Ketuhanan, pembinaan manusia dan kemajuan sosial.

قراءة القرآن على الجنائز بين العادة والعبادة في ليبيا، هذا عنوان من العناوين التي لم يتم البحث فيها من قبل بحثا علميا بالنظر في إلى ظروف الناس وعاداتهم ونظرتهم إلى هذه المسألة في ليبيا، وذلك لما له من أهمية علمية للوقوف عن الأسباب الرئيسية وراء تمسك الناس بها. هل أهل ليبيا يعتبرون هذا الفعل من العادات أو هو من صميم العبادات، أو يتردد بين العادة والعبادة، وكيف أثر هذا في اختلاف الحكم الشرعي بسبب هذا التردد. إن هذه القضية من القضايا الفقهية القديمة، وهي محل نزاع بين الفقهاء في وصول الثواب للميت من عدمه، وهذا قد دونت به الكثير ممن المؤلفات والبحوث، ولكن الجديد هنا أنهم استخدموا القياس في الاستدلال على جواز من يرى ذلك، وركن إلى ظاهر النصوص من منعه، وأن هذه القضية في ليبيا تتردد بين العادة والعبادة، ومن حيث أنها مرتبطة بالقرآن والدعاء بعده والصدقة، فإن هذه عبادة من العبادات الشرعية، ومن حيث ارتباطها وتعاقها بالجنائز وتعد من مراسم العزاء فإنها تدخل في العادات، وعلى هذين التقسيمين يختلف الحكم، فمن يرى أنها للعادات أقرب حكم بجوازها انطلاقا من قاعدة الأصل في العادات الجواز إلا بدليل، وخلافه من يرى أنها من العبادات أخذ بتكملة القاعدة، الأصل في العبادات التوقف إلا بدليل.

Abstract

The psychological thoughts of Abubakr Muhammad ibn Zakariyya Al - Razi (854-925 AD) were very important in the development of psychology because Al - Razi (854-925 AD) made an important contribution to understanding the relationship between physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual in humans. Al - Razi (854-925 AD) developed a theory about human personality and temperament and identified environmental factors that influence human development. This study aims to reveal the thoughts of Al - Razi (854-925 AD) about human personality and environmental factors that influence human development, as well as the psychological therapies that are developed. The method in this study is a qualitative method using library research, while the object of this study is psychological thinking from the perspective of Abubakr Muhammad ibn Zakariyya Al - Razi (854-925 AD). Al - Razi's thought (854-925 AD) showed that (1) Al - Razi revealed that human personality consists of four elements: blood, mucus, yellow bile, and black bile. (2) Al - Razi emphasized the importance of seeing human beings as complex beings and that human physical and mental health are interrelated and influence one another. His thoughts and research are very relevant and useful for the development of psychology. (3) In the view of Al - Razi (854-925 AD), holistic and integrated treatment and therapy is the key to achieving optimal mental health. Al - Razi developed various kinds of therapy, including pharmacotherapy, physical therapy, psychological therapy, and spiritual healing.

Abstract

Most people believe architecture is not religiously significant, so only a few people study architecture. This assessment does not align with al-Ghazali's teachings, which state that architecture is a science society needs. This research aims to analyze architectural science in al-Ghazali's classification of knowledge. The research uses a descriptive analysis method with the Ihya Ulūm al-Dĩn (Revival of Religious Science) as the primary source. The research results show that (1) al-Ghazali classified knowledge into three groups, namely classification based on sources, methods, and laws of searching for it. (2) Based on the law of mastering it, al-Ghazali divided knowledge into five laws: individual obligation, social obligation, primary, permissible, and reprehensible. (3) In the context of al-Ghazali's classification of science, architecture is included in the category of religiously significant science, and seeking it is subject to a collective obligation (farḍ kifayah). The results of this research significantly contribute to the development of architectural science (1), providing a religious basis for its importance. (2) provide practical guidance so the architectural profession can draw closer to God.
