Abstract

One of the main challenges in zakat management is the low public understanding of the concept of productive zakat management. BAZNAS and LAZ, as official institutions, are often perceived as limiting community participation, which is exacerbated by concerns about bureaucracy and the potential for misappropriation of funds. This resistance is primarily caused by technical implementation constraints rather than the substance of zakat itself. Therefore, an alternative approach based on economic empowerment and the principles of maqashid sharia is needed. This study examines productive zakat management at BAZNAS Sragen using a qualitative case study approach. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, and then analyzed descriptively and qualitatively, concerning the maqashid sharia of Imam Al-Syatibi. The results show that BAZNAS Sragen's zakat management applies the principles of transparency, accountability, and empowerment of the mustahik through a structured fundraising mechanism, a verified distribution system, and Sharia-based planning and supervision.

Abstract

Background: Female tutors in non-formal education play an important role in guiding children to deal with emergencies. They are not only educators, but also protectors and agents of change. However, this role has not been fully supported, both in training and resources. Research Urgency: The lack of studies on the strategic role of female tutors in emergency training education shows the need for this research. The results are expected to be the basis for strengthening the capacity and protection of children through the empowerment of female tutors. Research Objectives: This study examines the role of female tutors in implementing emergency training education in non-formal children's institutions and strengthens their role in child protection. Research Method: Using a mixed method sequential exploration design in Cimahi City, data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, document reviews, and questionnaires. Research Findings: These findings suggest that female tutors play an important role in training children for emergencies, with roles distributed as caregivers (15%), educators (20%), gender norm resistance (15%), leaders (10%), agents of change (10%), internalization (10%), participatory training (13%), and contributors to social context (7%). Efforts to strengthen their role include improving education and health, promoting women's participation in decision-making, raising public awareness, and providing child support and protection. However, challenges remain, such as inadequate training and limited understanding of emergency response procedures. This research highlights the need for ongoing training and adequate resources. Research Conclusion: Female tutors play a vital role in preparing children for emergency situations through various strategic roles. Strengthening these roles requires capacity building, increased participation, and continuous support. However, challenges such as limited training and inadequate understanding of procedures highlight the need for ongoing interventions and sufficient resource allocation. Research Novelty/ Contibution: Her contribution lies in the emphasis on women's role in emergency exercises as the foundation of policy development. The novelty of this study is the integration of the maternal instincts of female tutors with technical emergency training to improve child protection in non-formal settings.

Abstract

Good adolescent mental health is a good investment for a country. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many adolescents did not carry out productive activities, possibly changing their mental health. Experiential learning facilitates metacognition, shapes adolescent cognitive processes, improves performance and problem-solving, and makes learning more meaningful and authentic. This study aimed to explore adolescents' mental health conditions and how experiential learning affects adolescents' mental health. Using a qualitative approach, the data collection through Google Forms questionnaire, FGDs, and interviews using the HEADSS instrument was conducted in September 2022 in Kebon Gedang Village, Batununggal Subdistrict, Bandung City, West Java Province, Indonesia. This study involved 73 adolescents aged 10-19 years as population. Still, only 59 participants were valid as a sample and willing to participate in making oil-based soap as a change for the monthly activity held by Integrated Health Care. The results showed that experiential learning by making oil-based soap at home improved adolescents' mental health by 80%. Following the learning objectives, this activity developed adolescents into healthy and economically successful individuals while significantly contributing to their community.

Abstract

This article explores the role of transformational leadership in youth empowerment to promote creativity and social innovation as part of a sustainable human resource development effort. Youth are vital national assets with great potential to contribute to social, economic, and cultural advancement. However, the lack of visionary leadership support often hinders the optimization of their potential. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature review method to examine relevant theories and previous research related to leadership, empowerment, and innovation. The findings reveal that transformational leadership enhances youth participation, creativity, and social responsibility through inspirational, communicative, and collaborative approaches. Transformational leaders act not only as policymakers but also as facilitators who foster a spirit of change and independence. Youth empowerment based on creativity and innovation has proven effective in strengthening competitiveness and driving positive social transformation. Therefore, the application of transformational leadership principles is an essential strategy in shaping young generations who are characterized, adaptive to change, and actively contribute to sustainable development.

Abstract

The current situation of the Covid-19 pandemic is currently increasing public concern about the community. The government has especially recommended Stay at Home and the implementation of PSBB in various regions. One of the concerns is when the election of regional leaders to the general chairman. Even though there is already a safeguard regulation, this is not considered safe in the current Covid-19 pandemic. The solution in this research is the use of a blockchain-based E-voting system to help tackle election unrest during Covid-19. Where e-voting with blockchain technology can be carried out anywhere through the device without the need to be present in the voting booth, reducing data fraud, accurate and decentralized voting results that can be accessed by the public in real-time. The use of cryptographic protocols is applied for data transfer between system components as well as valid system security. This research method uses SUS trial analysis in a significant system of the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The implication that the SUS Score analysis shows 90 shows an acceptable E-voting system, meaning that the community can accept it because it brings positive and significant impacts such as effectiveness and efficiency.
