Abstract

This study aims to develop and measure the effectiveness of the andragogy-based writing skills model in improving the critical thinking skills of educators at SMAN 2 Cianjur. The training is designed as a transformation process, where educators are invited to realize their potential and habits in daily activities to build critical awareness. With the integration of technology in training, limited access to education and training in areas such as Cianjur can be overcome, expanding opportunities for digital literacy and collaboration between educators. A quantitative method with a quasi-experimental design was used in this study, where writing training was shown to improve teachers' writing and critical thinking skills. The trained teachers can produce articles, teaching materials, and documentation of good practices published on the Lentera Mahardika and PMM platforms. The study's results showed a significant improvement in writing skills and contribution to learning quality. This study emphasizes the importance of writing habits as a hobby for educators to strengthen innovation and relevance of education in the future.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and evaluate a participatory training model for improving writing skills. Scientific writing skills are very important for educators, students, and professionals, not only as an academic task but also as a tool to develop critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills. Participatory training was designed systematically using the Research and Development (R&D) method, which includes literature review, product design, field testing, and revision, and involved 43 teachers selected by purposive sampling. The study results showed that this training significantly improved the scientific writing skills of teachers (H1), and the developed model was proven valid and effective (H2). Data analysis using the rating method, SPSS, and triangulation to ensure data credibility supported these findings. This training successfully overcomes obstacles in writing scientific papers, with strategic steps such as needs analysis, curriculum development, and constructive feedback. Interactive activities such as group discussions improve participants' understanding and skills. Positive responses from participants indicate increased motivation and competence, which confirms the importance of a participatory approach in professional development. These findings underline the importance of reflection in learning, which improves the quality of scientific publications among teachers.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that to facilitate lifelong learning in society, PKBM needs to carry out instructional planning or design, namely analyzing community needs, designing learning programs; develop strategy materials and various learning resources; implement materials, learning methods, and various learning resources in the learning process; and carry out regular evaluations. The aim of this research is to determine and analyze the experience of community learning activity centers (PKBM) in facilitating lifelong learning communities. This research uses qualitative research with field research methods. The results of this research show that in creating a lifelong learning society, learning resources are needed that facilitate the learning process. Apart from that, learning resources in the community are also needed to provide learning opportunities for the entire community. This is in accordance with the 9-year compulsory education program launched by the Government. PKBM is one way that can facilitate learning to improve community performance.

Abstract

This research stems from various policies that have been implemented by the government to eradicate and prevent pulmonary tuberculosis which still does not show optimal results. The main obstacles are poor patient compliance and suboptimal family support. Efforts to improve patient compliance in handling pulmonary tuberculosis are not only imposed on health care providers, families and patients are also responsible for this. This study aimed to determine the effect of family assistance on increasing patient compliance in handling pulmonary tuberculosis. The study was conducted from October 2, 2023-January 2024 in Dunguscariang Village, Garuda Community Health Center Working Area, Bandung City. This study used quasi-experimental pre-test and post-test design methods, sampling in total with the criteria of families who have pulmonary tuberculosis patients, so that 37 families were obtained in Dunguscariang sub-district as an intervention group and 39 families as a control group in Garuda Kota Bandung sub-district. Data were collected through interview techniques using the morisky medication adherence scale 8 adherence instrument. Data analysis using dependent- T test. The results showed an increase in the average adherence score between before and after family assistance and showed that family assistance had a significant effect on increasing patient compliance in handling pulmonary tuberculosis. Constructed family assistance can improve patient compliance in handling pulmonary tuberculosis with three elements, namely enable, empowering and protecting.

Abstract

This research aims to explore child protection policies in education in Southeast Asia. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research examines policy implementation strategies and the challenges faced. Data sources were obtained from journals indexed in the Scopus and Google Scholar databases with a publication period of 2020-2024, and selection criteria were based on the PRISMA method. The research results show that child protection policies in education require a holistic approach that involves collaboration between government, educational institutions and society. Key findings include the need to strengthen regulations, socio-economic support for families, and safe and inclusive learning environments. The main challenges faced include unequal access to education, lack of resources in remote areas, and weak law enforcement against child exploitation. The original value of this research lies in its focus on Southeast Asia, providing comprehensive insight into the regional context of child protection. Recommendations for future research include developing policies that are more responsive to socio-political dynamics and economic conditions in the region, as well as increasing awareness of the importance of child protection in the digital era.

Abstract

This research investigates the influence of a participatory training model grounded in learning communities on the performance of teachers at SMAN 1 Gunungsindur. The approach prioritizes active teacher participation in collaborative learning, experience exchange, and the implementation of innovative instructional techniques. Utilizing a quasi-experimental design with a quantitative methodology, data collection was conducted through surveys, observations, and interviews, followed by analysis using t-tests and simple linear regression. Findings reveal that training based on learning communities significantly improves pedagogical competence, teaching enthusiasm, and classroom management efficiency. Additionally, it enhances teachers' capacity to produce scientific papers. Hypothesis testing demonstrates a substantial improvement in teacher performance post-training compared to pre-training (p < 0.05). Essential success determinants include a cooperative school environment and favorable educational policies. Nonetheless, constraints such as time limitations and a shortage of skilled facilitators present challenges. Consequently, this study advocates for the broader adoption of this training model to sustainably enhance education quality.
