Abstract

Financial literacy is a strategic issue that has increasingly gained attention in various economic studies, particularly in relation to strengthening the innovative capacity of business actors. However, empirical studies linking financial literacy to green innovation behavior, especially in the context of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), remain limited. This study aims to: (1) analyze the influence of financial literacy on green product innovation behavior among MSMEs in Boyolali Regency; (2) examine the effect of financial literacy on green process innovation behavior; and (3) investigate the role of gender as a moderating variable in the relationship between financial literacy and both types of innovation. A quantitative approach is employed in this research through a survey method involving 397 MSME actors selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected using an online questionnaire distributed via the Google Forms platform. Validity testing was conducted using convergent and discriminant validity approaches, while reliability was measured through Cronbach’s Alpha and composite reliability. Data analysis includes descriptive statistics, multicollinearity testing, goodness-of-fit testing, and moderating regression analysis. The results indicate that: (1) financial literacy has a positive and significant influence on green product innovation; (2) financial literacy also significantly enhances green process innovation; and (3) gender plays a significant moderating role in strengthening the relationship between financial literacy and both types of green innovation. These findings not only enrich the literature from the perspective of Human Capital Theory but also provide practical implications for enhancing the innovative capacity of MSMEs in the face of sustainable development challenges.

Abstract

Differentiated learning is a learning strategy implemented in the Merdeka Curriculum at almost all levels of education. However, in reality, the application of differentiated learning has not been implemented optimally. This case study aims to describe the obstacles and solutions in implementing differentiated learning in economics learning at SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta. The subjects in this study focus on teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Surakarta. A descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design was used in this study. Data were collected using observation, interview, and documentation methods. The results of this study show that the implementation of differentiated learning in economic learning has not been fully implemented due to the limited time for preparation and learning process, limited resources, the complexity of the material taught, and the low level of teacher readiness. These obstacles can be overcome with alternative solutions that can be seen from the teacher and learning side. From the teacher's side, teachers must try to understand the characteristics of students and teachers can multiply references to differentiated learning models through social media and collaborate with other teachers, then from the learning side, among others, differentiated learning should prioritize the quality of the learning process, assessment-based learning, learning that provides a content, process, and product approach, learning is learner-centered, and the government can provide training for teachers. This study needs to expand its subjects so that the results are more representative of the actual situation.

Abstract

Global consumption poses significant challenges to sustainable development, making education a vital tool for promoting awareness and responsible green consumption. This study explores environmental literacy as a key link between education and sustainable consumption behavior. Employing a quantitative survey of 400 working-age residents in Surakarta experienced in eco-friendly consumption, the research analyzes how environmental literacy influences green consumption outcomes. Grounded in attitudinal theory, it emphasizes that behavior is shaped by attitudes formed through learning, experience, and social interaction. The results confirm that higher environmental literacy significantly encourages green consumption habits. These findings highlight education’s crucial role in shifting public attitudes and consumption patterns, supporting broader sustainability goals. Moreover, the study suggests important directions for Indonesia’s education system, advocating for the integration of environmental education throughout all academic levels to effectively nurture ecological awareness and responsible consumer behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of government policy through the Smart Indonesia Card (KIP) program on student graduation rates at a private university in Jambi City. The main focus of the study is how access to educational funding through KIP affects academic achievement. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach, emphasizing a multi-perspective analysis of public policy. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with KIP recipient students, academic advisors, and student affairs staff. The results indicate that KIP has a significant contribution to opening access to higher education, but its effectiveness in encouraging students to complete their studies on time depends on continued policy support at the institutional level. Therefore, this study recommends that the scholarship policy be integrated with a continuous academic development program, strengthening counseling services, and regular monitoring of study progress.

Abstract

Employment issues in West Java Province, particularly in Tasikmalaya Regency, represent a complex and strategic challenge. High open unemployment rates, skill mismatches, and the misalignment between workforce competencies and industrial demands are persistent problems. In this context, human capital—which encompasses education, training, skills, and health—is considered a key factor in expanding employment opportunities. This study aims to analyze the role of human capital in increasing employment opportunities, focusing on Tasikmalaya Regency. A descriptive qualitative approach is employed, as outlined by Campbell and Pederson (2001), emphasizing a contextual and systematic understanding of institutional and social dynamics. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with vocational and university graduates, both job seekers and those currently employed, along with direct observation of job training activities in both urban and rural areas. Document analysis was also conducted to support the findings. The results indicate that strengthening human capital through relevant formal education, contextual job training, and equitable access to education and health services significantly contributes to improving employment prospects. Interregional disparities remain a major obstacle, necessitating affirmative policies based on data and local needs. Multi-stakeholder collaboration—among government, educational institutions, industry, and communities—is essential to establish a more inclusive and sustainable employment system.
