Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh salinitas media yang berbeda terhadap kinerja produksi (derajat kelangsungan hidup, laju pertumbuhan mutlak biomassa, rasio konversi pakan, kadar glukosa darah, dan tingat konsumsi oksigen) ikan sidat Anguilla bicolor bicolor. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah RAL dengan empat pelakuan yang berbeda (A, 0 g/L ; B, 2 g/L ; C, 4 g/L ; dan D, 6 g/L) dan tiga ulangan. Ikan sidat yang digunakan memiliki bobot rata-rata 8,4±0,32 g/ekor dengan padat tebar 4 g/L. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan A, yaitu pemeliharaan ikan sidat A. bicolor bicolor pada media bersalinitas 0 g/L adalah perlakuan terbaik terhadap parameter uji (derajat kelangsungan hidup 100%; laju pertumbuhan mutlak biomassa 9,31 g/hari; rasio konversi pakan 1,2; kadar glukosa darah 22,30 mg/dL; dan tingkat konsumsi oksigen 1,12 mgO2/g/jam). Kualitas air selama penelitian berada dalam kisaran optimal pemeliharaan ikan sidat (suhu 31,7?32,9 oC; pH 7,6?7,7; oksigen terlarut 5,4?5,8 mg/L; alkalinitas 31,2?39,5 mg/L; nitrit 0,26?0,52 mg/L; dan amonia 0,001 mg/L).

Abstract

In the aquaculture industry, feed plays a vital role because more than 50% of the production cost is for feed procurement costs. The feed used must not only contain good nutritional content, but also be economically affordable. The better the quality of the feed, accompanied by the cheaper the feed, the success of fish production activities can be guaranteed. The purpose of this study was to increase the use of local fish meal as a substitute for commercial fish meal in tilapia feed formulations. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) model consisting of four treatments and three replications. The treatment applied was feeding the fish with artificial feed made from a combination of local fish meal with commercial fish meal at different doses. The treatments in this study werea (commercial fish meal 30% + local fish meal 0%), B (commercial fish meal 20% + local fish meal 10%), C (commercial fish meal 10% + local fish meal 20%), and D (commercial fish meal 0% + local fish meal 30%). The results of the analysis of variance (ANOVA) test showed that the treatment had no significant effect on the value of survival rate (SR), but had a significant effect on the value of Specific Growth Rate (SGR), Feed Conversion Ration (FCR) and blood glucose levels (GD). The SR values of treatment A, B, C, and D were 96.7%, 96.7%, 96.7%, and 100%, respectively. The SGR values of treatment A, B, C, and D were 0.15% / day, 0.24% / day, 0.29% / day, 0.35% / day, respectively. The FCR values of treatment A, B, C, and D were 10.25, 7.47, 5.00, and 4.16, respectively. The GD values of treatments A, B, C, and D were 217.67 mg / dL, 160.33 mg / dL, 155.00 mg / dL, and 132.67 mg / dL, respectively. The water quality during the research was still classified in the optimum range of tilapia rearing water quality, namely temperature 29.0?31.9 oC, pH 7.0?8.2, DO 4.3?5.9 mg / L, and ammonia 0.0011-0.0293 mg / L. The conclusion of this research activity is, the use of fish feed using the formulation of local fish meal as a raw material can be used as a substitute for commercial fish meal.

Abstract

This study aims to study the graduation rate of living and post growth of vaname shrimp larvae using multilevel salinity acclimatization methods maintained at low salinity. This study consisted of five treatments, and each treatment had 3 repeats. Thus in this study there were 15 experimental units. As a treatment is the adedation period of acclimatization decreases salinity as follows: Treatment 1: No decrease in salinity (30 ppt). Treatment 2: 6 day decreased salinity (30 ppt, 24 ppt, 18 ppt, 12 ppt, 6 ppt, 0 ppt). Treatment 3: 7 days decrease in salinity (30 ppt, 25 ppt, 20 ppt, 15 ppt, 10 ppt, 5 ppt, 0 ppt). Treatment 4: 8 days decrease in salinity (30 ppt, 26 ppt, 21 ppt, 17 ppt, 13 ppt, 9 ppt, 4 ppt, 0 ppt). Treatment 5: 9 days decrease in salinity (30 ppt, 26 ppt, 23 ppt, 19 ppt, 15 ppt, 11 ppt, 8 ppt, 4 ppt, 0 ppt). The results showed that the larvae of vaname shrimp that were kept at low salinity using acclimatization methods had no noticeable effect on survival rates. The survival rate is between 72% - 94.67%, has an absolute weight between 1.75 grams – 2.36 grams and an absolute length between 1.47 cm – 1.87 cm with a fcr value of 3.17 – 3.83. The oxygen consumption rate in vaname shrimp is 1.76 – 2.2.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the best acclimatization time for survival rate and growth of vaname shrimp. This research was carried out of for 22 days, started from February 5 to 26, 2021 at the Laboratory of Aquaculture Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram. The research method used a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Thus in this study there were 15 experimental units. As a treatment is the difference acclimatization periode was the decrease in salinity as follows : Treatment 1 : no decrease in salinity (30 ppt). Treatment 2 : 1 day decreased salinity (30 ppt, 0 ppt). Treatment 3 : 2 day decreased in salinity (30 ppt, 15 ppt, 0 ppt). Treatment 4 : 3 day decreased in salinity (30 ppt, 20 ppt, 10 ppt, 0 ppt). Treatment 5 : 4 day decreased in salinity (30 ppt, 23 ppt, 15 ppt, 8 ppt, 0 ppt). The results showed that the vaname shrimp that were kept at low salinity using acclimatization method had noticeable effect on survival rate. The value of survival rate between 1 % - 73 %, has an absolute weight between 0.0433 gram – 0.1802 gram and an absolute length bewtween 1.1 cm – 2.9 cm with food conversion ratio 0.1285 – 3.937. The oxygen consumption rate between 0.073 – 0.113.

Abstract

Litopenaeus vannamei is a high-economic fishery commodity that has euryhaline properties, which is tolerant of a wide range of salinity values ??(2 – 40 ppt). The euryhaline of vannamei shrimp are still not well optimized. The purpose of this study was to determine the appropriate dose of ketapang leaf addition to increase mineral solubility in freshwater vannamei shrimp culture medium. The results of this study are expected to be useful as information for vannamei shrimp cultivators in freshwater media about technology for meeting mineral levels in the media so as to maximize production value. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) method which consisted of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment applied was the addition of ketapang leaves with different doses to increase the solubility of calcium carbonate (CaCO3) in cultivation media, namely A. Ketapang leaves (DK) 0 ppt + CaCO3 50 ppm; B. DK 120 ppm + CaCO3 50 ppm; C. DK 240 ppm + CaCO3 50 ppm; D. DK 360 ppm + CaCO3 50 ppm. The results showed that the appropriate dose of ketapang leaves that could increase mineral solubility in freshwater vannamei shrimp culture media was 360 ppm (treatment D). At this dose, the value of the specific weight growth rate of vannamei shrimp can increase, which is 0.76%/day. Treatment A is a control treatment that gives the lowest value for the specific weight growth value, which is 0.40 %/day.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the optimal dose of clove leaf extract immersion on hatchability of catfish eggs and to determine the effect of immersion in clove leaf extract on hatchability of catfish eggs. This research was conducted for 41 days from 17 November 2020 to 27 December 2020, where the research was carried out at the installation of the Kumbung Stone Cultivation Center, Lingsar, West Lombok. This research was conducted with an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with four treatments and three replications, namely treatment A: control, B: 50 ppm. C: 70 ppm and D: 90 ppm E: 11 ppm. The results showed that the highest hatchability rate of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus) was obtained in treatment D which reached 94.770.17% and the lowest hatchability value in treatment A was 33.33%. ANOVA results showed that there was a significant difference in the effect of soaking the extract. Clove leaves against the hatchability of African catfish eggs in each treatment there was anti-fungal activity, clove leaf extract was at the best dose in the inhibition mechanism against fungi

Abstract

The main problem faced today is the low level of postlarva vannamei even though various acclimatization methods have developed to low salinity. Efforts are needed to be able to deal with the problem of delayed growth of shrimp maintained at low salinity. One of them is by adding calcium in the cultivation media. Calcium solubility is needed in order to help the process of calcium absorption. This study aim to improve the dissolution rate of calcium with the addition of ketapang leaf for increased production performance and the growth of vaname shrimp larva (Litopenaeus vannamei). This study used completely randomized design (CaCO3) with 5 treatment and 3 replacement. Doses that used in this study were 50 ppm of lime with 0, 0,12, 0,24, 0,36, and 0,48 ppt doses of ketapang leafs. Observational parameters werw absolute growth rate of weight, absolute growth rate of length, survival rate, feed conversion ratio, oxygen consumption rate, calciums level in water and water quality contains temperature, pH, DO, salinity, and ammonia. The results showed that the addition of 0,48 doses of ketapang leaf significantly effected absolute growth rate of length growth, feed conversion ratio, oxygen consumption rate, and calcium level. While the addition of 0,36 doses of ketapang leaf significantly effected survival rate. By the addition of ketapang leaf can improve performance and the growth of vaname shrimp larva.

Abstract

Ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus) merupakan jenis ikan air tawar yang memiliki nilai ekonomis yang baik sehingga banyak dibudidayakan dengan padat tebar yang tinggi. Akibatnya, kualitas air dalam wadah  semakin menurun. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan sebuah upaya untuk menjaga kualitas air pada pemeliharaan ikan nila agar tetap optimal sehingga produktifitas budidaya tetap terjaga.  Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi kinerja perangkat microbubble dalam meningkatkan oksigen terlarut terhadap produktivitas ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Metode penelitian adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari  4 perlakuan, yaitu P1 (Kepadatan 50 ekor/m2),  P2 (Kepadatan 75 ekor/m2), P3 (Kepadatan 100 ekor/m2), dan P4 (Kepadatan 125 ekor/m2). Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai nilai kelangsungan hidup tertinggi diperoleh P1 yaitu 90%, dikuti secara berturut-turut P2 sebesar 85.9%, P3 sebesar 83.3%, dan terendah pada perlakuan P4 sebesar 77.8%. Nilai panjang mutlak tertinggi dihasilkan oleh P1 dengan nilai 2.09 cm, dikuti P2 2.05 cm, P3 2.04 cm, dan P4 1.90 cm. Nilai berat mutlak tertinggi terdapat pada perlakuan P1 sebesar 3.27 gr, diikuti P2 3.23 gr, P3 3.21 gr, dan P4 2.99 gr. Nilai FCR terendah terdapat pada perlakuan P1 dengan nilai rata-rata 1.10, diiuti secara berturut-turut P2 1.13, P3 1.14, dan P4 1.20. Perlakuan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap nilai kelangsungan hidup (SR), pertumbuhan panjang mutlak (PPM), pertumbuhan berat mutlak (PBM), dan rasio konversi pakan (RKP) ikan nila (Oreochromis niloticus). Perlakuan terbaik  didapatkan pada P1 dengan nilai SR 90%, PPM 2.09 cm, PBM 3.27 gram, PPS 6.98% , dan RKP 1.10.

Abstract

Ikan molly merupakan ikan hias air tawar yang memiliki berbagai jenis dan keunikan tersendiri, termasuk dalam jenis ikan yang disebut “pembawa hidup” atau memiliki kemampuan untuk melahirkan. Masalah yang dihadapi oleh pembudidaya ikan molly saat ini adalah rendahnya produksi untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar yang terus meningkat. Hal ini menyebabkan kurangnya kemampuan untuk mencapai target produksi yang diinginkan. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi pengaruh pemberian Oodev melalui pakan terhadap jumlah produksi larva ikan molly Poecilia sp. dengan dosis yang berbeda. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan perlakuan dosis Oodev yang berbeda yaitu A (0 ml/kg ikan), B (0,5 ml/kg ikan) C (1,0 ml/kg ikan) dan D (1,5 ml/kg ikan) masing-masing diulang tiga kali. Hormon oodev diberikan melalui pakan dua kali sehari dengan feeding rate (FR) 3%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap parameter jumlah larva, waktu melahirkan, SR larva, TKG, IKG jantan dan betina, akan tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter persentas induk bunting dan persentase induk melahirkan. Jumlah larva tertinggi terjadi pada perlakuan B, yaitu 31 ekor. Waktu melahirkan tercepat terjadi pada perlakuan B dan C, yaitu 4,3 dan 4,7 minggu. Nilai SR larva tertinggi terjadi pada perlakuan B, yaitu 96%. Nilai TKG tertinggi terjadi pada perlakuan B, yaitu 4. Nilai IKG induk jnatan dna betina tertinggi terjadi pada perlakuan B, yaitu 3,2 dan 9,6. Kesimpulan yang diambil pada penelitian ini, pemberian hormone Oodev pada induk ikan Molly memberikan pengaruh nyata terhadap aktifitas reproduksi. Dosis terbaik yang didapatkan adalah 0,5ml/kg induk.

Abstract

They are fish(Oreochromis niloticus) is one of the freshwater fish that is easy to keep, its growth is relatively fast. Apart from that, it is a consumer favorite because of its thick flesh and delicious taste. One technology that can be used as an alternative is biofloc technology because it is able to minimize land use and improve water quality and increase nutrient utilization. Probiotics containing microorganisms can be given via feed or water as a medium. Supraptoet al., (2013), expressed the opinion that the use of probiotics in the environment for bioremediation can improve water quality and break down organic matter. This research aims to evaluate the performance of tilapia production in a biofloc system with different types of conventional probiotics. This research used an experimental method with the experiment used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) starting from 5 treatments repeated 3 times. The provision of probiotics in the water media of the biofloc system has a significant effect on the parameters of absolute weight growth, absolute length growth, and floc volume. With each treatment, the best was obtained in treatment B, namely 9.51 grams, treatment C was 0.15ml/l. Meanwhile, the addition of probiotics to the biofloc system water media had no effect on the parameters of erythrocytes, leukocytes, hematocrit, hemoglobin.
