Abstract

Media pembelajaran interaktif berkontribusi mendorong motivasi belajar serta pemahaman pelajar, terutama materi system koloid yang memiliki karakter abstrak dan kompleks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-booklet interaktif berbantuan flipbook berorientasi kemampuan berpikir kritis, serta menilai tingkat kelayakannya baik secara konseptual melalui validasi ahli media serta materi, maupun dengan prosedur berdasarkan penilaian guru serta serta tanggapan siswa. Pendekatan R&D berdasarkan model pengembangan Lee & Owens. Langka analisis, perancangan, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket dan wawancara, yang selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan memperoleh skor kelayakan sebesar 4,50 dari ahli media dan 4,26 dari ahli materi, yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat layak. Selain itu, penilaian guru kimia menunjukkan nilai rata-rata 4,62, sementara hasil respon siswa pada uji coba satu-satu mencapai 91,7% dan pada uji kelompok kecil sebesar 93,1%, keduanya termasuk kategori sangat layak. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-booklet interaktif berbantuan flipbook yang berorientasi pada kemampuan berpikir kritis layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia di tingkat SMA.

Abstract

Writing scientific articles is a fundamental skill that needs to be practiced from the beginning of college. First-semester students generally do not have direct experience in writing scientific articles. This community service activity aims to provide training in scientific article writing to first-semester students of the Physics Education Study Program through a gradual approach and continuous mentoring. The implementation method is carried out in four stages, namely preparation with the completion of an initial perception questionnaire, implementation of training with structured mentoring for five weeks, completion of articles with the completion of a final perception questionnaire, and descriptive data analysis. The training material covers the structure of scientific articles using the IMRAD format (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion) with a writing strategy that starts from the methods, results, discussion, conclusion, introduction, and abstract sections. The results of the initial perception survey showed that students already had conceptual knowledge about scientific articles but lacked direct experience. The final perception survey, completed after the training, showed a shift in students' orientation from passive knowledge to active experience. This was marked by an increase in procedural understanding, confidence, and motivation to write scientific articles. This activity successfully bridged first-semester students to enter the academic culture in a more conscious and reflective manner through the experience of writing a complete article.

Abstract

Pembelajaran kimia pada materi reaksi kimia masih cenderung bersifat abstrak kondisi tersebut menunjukkan pentingnya inovasi media pembelajaran kontekstual dan interaktif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) menjelaskan proses pengembangan multimedia berbasis Chemo-Entrepreneurship berbantuan Google Sites pada materi reaksi kimia; (2) menganalisis kelayakan produk secara konseptual dan prosedural; (3) mengidentifikasi respon siswa terhadap penggunaan multimedia interaktif; dan (4) mengkaji kontribusi multimedia dalam mendukung kreativitas siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Instrumen pengumpulan data berupa lembar wawancara guru dan angket respon siswa. Produk divalidasi oleh ahli materi dan ahli media, kemudian dinilai oleh guru kimia serta diuji cobakan kepada siswa melalui tahap one to one dan kelompok kecil. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran interaktif dinyatakan sangat layak, dengan persentase validasi ahli materi sebesar 92,8%, ahli media 91,2%, dan penilaian guru 92,8%. Respon siswa pada tahap uji coba kelompok kecil mencapai 93,1% dengan kriteria sangat baik. Temuan penelitian ini mengidentifikasikan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran interaktif berbasis Chemo-Entrepreneurship berbantuan Google Sites layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia dan berpotensi mendukung kreativitas siswa.

Abstract

Kondisi pembelajaran kimia hijau disekolah saat ini masih berpusat pada guru, yang mengakibatkan literasi sains dan pencapaian hasil belajar murid belum tergarap secara maksimal. Selain itu, kurangnya media ajar yang bersifat kontekstual serta berorientasi pada penyelesaian masalah menghambat siswa dalam mengaitkan konsep materi kimia hijau dengan fenomena kehidupan sehari-hari. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi kimia hijau berorientasi literasi sains dan hasil belajar, serta menguji kelayakan dan respon siswa. Penelitian produk ini menerapkan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model Lee & Owens, meliputi tahapan analisis kebutuhan, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil uji validasi memperlihatkan tingkat kelayakan yang sangat tinggi, yakni 95% dari ahli media, 92% dari ahli materi, dan 88% dari guru, yang dikategorikan sangat layak. Respon siswa dalam uji coba juga tercatat sangat baik, yakni 91,52 pada uji satu-satu (one to one trial) dan 90,67% pada uji coba kelompok kecil (small group trial) yang menunjukan bahwa LKPD terbukti layak dan dapat dijadikan altenatif media pembelajaran yang efektif.

Abstract

The development of students’ communication skills remains a central challenge in higher education, particularly within science-based learning contexts that demand active engagement and collaboration. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of implementing a Project-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by the Quizizz application in enhancing students’ communication skills. Employing a quantitative approach, the research adopts a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pretest–posttest scheme. The study was conducted with 23 students enrolled in the R-001 Chemistry Education class during the Odd Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire designed to measure students’ communication skills before and after the instructional intervention. The collected data were subsequently analyzed using a paired-sample t-test to determine the significance of changes in communication performance. The findings reveal a statistically significant improvement in students’ communication skills following the implementation of the Quizizz-assisted PBL model. These results indicate that integrating interactive digital applications within project-based instructional frameworks can effectively foster active participation, collaborative dialogue, and expressive competence among students. The study concludes that Quizizz-assisted Project-Based Learning constitutes a viable pedagogical strategy for strengthening communication skills in higher education learning environments.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of implementing natural material-based biochemistry practicums in enhancing university students’ creativity. The research is grounded in the recognition that creative thinking skills among students have not been optimally facilitated within conventional laboratory instruction. Employing a one-group pretest–posttest research design, this study measured changes in students’ creativity before and after their participation in biochemistry practicums utilizing natural materials. The participants consisted of 23 students enrolled in the Biochemistry Practicum course within the Chemistry Education Study Program. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that assessed four dimensions of creativity: idea fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration. Statistical analysis revealed a significant increase in students’ creativity following the intervention, as indicated by a significance value of 0.000. These findings demonstrate that natural material-based biochemistry practicums are effective in fostering students’ creative capacities. The study concludes that integrating natural materials into biochemistry laboratory activities constitutes a pedagogically meaningful strategy to promote creativity, encourage exploratory learning, and strengthen the practical application of biochemical concepts in higher education contexts.

Abstract

The application of interactive learning media plays an important role in stimulating motivation and deepening students' understanding, especially in bridging the characteristics of abstract chemistry learning, one of which is the material of electrolyte and non-electrolyte solutions. The main problem in chemistry learning in Madrasah Aliyah is the limited physical laboratory facilities, which impacts the low critical thinking skills of students. This study aims to develop a Virtual Laboratory "Electrochem Lab" that supports critical thinking skills and to test its feasibility conceptually and practically. As a supporting instrument, Electrochem Lab is equipped with an evaluation feature in the form of a quiz consisting of 5 questions based on Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) that have been adjusted to train students' critical thinking skills independently. The study adopts a Research and Development (R&D) framework, specifically following the Lee & Owens model, which progresses through phases of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The experimental subjects involved two experts (materials and media), one chemistry teacher, and 13 students of grade XI IPA MAN 5 Batang Hari consisting of 3 students in one-to-one tests with heterogeneous cognitive representations and 10 students in small group tests. The data collection instrument used a Likert Scale questionnaire consisting of a media expert questionnaire and a material expert questionnaire, a student response questionnaire and a one-to-one trial instrument. Evidence of the validity of the instrument and product was obtained through expert assessments stating that the media was very suitable for testing. The results showed a feasibility percentage of 90% from media experts and 89.23% from material experts, both of which were considered very suitable. The practitioner's assessment (chemistry teacher) reached 94.55%, while the one-to-one test reached 86,6% and the small group trials reached 98% with a very good category. It can be concluded that the Android-based virtual laboratory "Electrochem Lab" is very suitable to be used as an innovative solution to bridge the understanding of abstract concepts through sub-microscopic visualization and support the training of students' critical thinking skills. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of a contextual approach in digital simulations that connect learning materials with the students' surroundings and the Madrasah Aliyah environment.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasari oleh hasil observasi awal yang menunjukkan tantangan murid dalam menghubungkan konsep kimia dengan aktivitas sehari-hari serta kecenderungan pasif pada kegiatan belajar, yang juga dipengaruhi oleh media pembelajaran yang diterapkan masih bersifat konfesional. Studi ini bertujuan untuk membuat e-LKPD berbasis proyek dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik yang berfokus pada kreativitas murid SMA. Pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan model pengembangan Hannafin dan Peck yang mencakup fase analisis kebutuhan, desain, serta pengembangan dan pelaksanaan. Subjek yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah murid kelas X Fase E di SMAN 8 Kota Jambi. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari angket validasi dari pakar materi, pakar media, penilaian dari guru, dan angket terkait respon murid yang dianalisis dengan cara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa e-LKPD yang dikembangkan memperoleh tingkat kelayakan sebesar 90,33% dengan kategori sangat layak berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi dan ahli media. Selain itu, e-LKPD tersebut juga mendapatkan respons yang sangat baik dari murid, sehingga layak dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran kimia hijau berbasis proyek.

Abstract

The colloidal system is a high school chemistry topic that examines the characteristics of fine particles within a dispersing medium. This material is often considered difficult by students due to its abstract nature, requiring a deep understanding of the types and properties of colloids and their daily applications. This condition indicates a need for innovation in learning media capable of connecting scientific concepts with contexts that are easier for students to understand. Through an ethnoscience approach that integrates local knowledge, students are encouraged to understand the material contextually and in relevance to local culture. This study aims to analyze the need for developing Genially-assisted interactive learning media on colloidal systems integrated with ethnoscience, focusing on fostering critical thinking skills. The research method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques consisting of questionnaires and interviews with students and chemistry teachers at SMA Negeri 17 Muaro Jambi. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results of the needs analysis show that 60.7% of students experience difficulty understanding colloidal material and 89.3% of students require media with a combination of text, images, video, and animation. Furthermore, both students and teachers strongly agree with the development of Genially-assisted interactive learning media that can be used at school or at home to support learning processes that foster critical thinking skills.
