Abstract

Whichever perspective is used is the authority of each person in understanding the Qur'an, what is mandatory is studying the meaning contained in the verses of the Qur'an, both from a historical and other perspective. The purpose of this writing is to explain an understanding of history based on the verses of the Koran, which is the basis for thinking for Islamic historians. The method used in this research is a historical approach, which involves interpretation and collaboration. This article uses Ibn Kathir's book of tafsir as a reference for interpreting the verses of the Qur'an. Muslims are obliged to read history, because to increase self-confidence through the stories contained in it, the verses of the Qur'an provide an overview of the changes that have occurred in human life as a contribution to building a modern society with the perspective of the Qur'an. 'an starting from its initial emergence, development, peak of progress, setback, until collapse.

Abstract

Talking about the values of superior education, without strong policies and a valuable educational mission, there is a possibility that it will fail. One of the reliable educational values with superior values. Revealed in the Quran, Surah Luqman, verses 12-19. The main purpose of this study is to analyze how these principles can be applied in the context of modern education to foster character development among young people. Using a qualitative approach, this study uses literature review and text analysis to explore the implications of Luqman's teachings on contemporary education. The findings of the study reveal that integrating social responsibility and religious values into educational practices significantly increases students' awareness of their rights and obligations in society. In addition, this study highlights that teaching values such as prayer, good behavior, and social justice not only fosters individual character but also promotes a harmonious society. Ultimately, this study underlines the important role of parental guidance and educational frameworks in shaping morally responsible individuals in today's complex social landscape.

Abstract

This study aims to examine anti-idolization as a characteristic of the ideal educator, based on the asbāb al-nuzūl (circumstances of revelation) of Qs. Ᾱli ‘Imrān (3): 79. This verse provides a warning to the Jewish and Christian communities during the time of Prophet Muhammad SAW, who tended to idolize their religious figures. This study employs a descriptive-qualitative method with a library research approach. Data sources are drawn from classical tafsir (exegesis) and relevant literature on Islamic educational concepts. The analysis is conducted by interpreting the verse within its socio-historical context and linking it to modern educational conditions. The findings indicate that the principle of anti-idolization is highly relevant in the modern era, where excessive dependence on educators or authority figures can hinder students' freedom of thought and intellectual independence.

Abstract

Isu-isu kontemporer mengenai pendidikan bagi perempuan ternyata masih problem dalam realitas kehidupan. Islam nyatanya menanggapi hal tersebut dan membantah isu atau realitas yang tidak benar mengenai perempuan yang dianggap termarginalkan oleh islam. Artikel ini mengeksplorasi perspektif kontemporer dan tantangan problematika kontemporer dalam upaya pemberdayaan perempuan Muslim melalui pendidikan. Penulisan dalam jurnal ini menggunakan metode kualitatif sebagai paradigma penelitiannya yang mana penelitian ini mengumpulkan data-data dengan menganalisis, menafsirkan suatu fakta, gejala-gejala dan peristiwa yang terjadi dan menarik kesimpulan dari data-data tanpa menggunakan angka maupun simbol-simbol. Dengan lebih memahami perspektif dan tantangan kontemporer mengenai isu-isu keperempuanan, artikel ini diharapkan dapat menambah informasi dan referensi berharga bagi pembaca untuk mengembangkan strategi dan kebijakan pendidikan yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan bagi perempuan. Hal ini lah yang ditekankan dalam islam kewajiban akan menimba ilmu pengetahuan dimana saja dan tak terbatasi oleh gender apapun, pendidikan perempuan dalam Islam itu inklusif dan memberikan peluang yang sama kepada seluruh perempuan untuk mengakses pendidikan yang berkualitas.

Abstract

This article discusses the relevance of collaborative learning models from the perspective of the Qur’an in relation to the demands of teamwork in the workplace. The collaborative learning model, which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and shared responsibility, aligns with principles taught in the Qur'an, such as ta'awun (mutual assistance in goodness) and musyawarah (collective decision-making). Using a qualitative-descriptive approach, this study conducts a literature review to identify the alignment between collaborative learning principles and the teamwork skills increasingly needed in today’s workplace. The findings indicate that implementing collaborative learning not only aids in academic skill development but also equips students with essential interpersonal skills for work environments, such as effective communication, conflict management, and problem-solving. In conclusion, integrating Qur'anic values into collaborative learning can strengthen students' character and social skills, thus better preparing them to meet the demands of teamwork in professional settings.

Abstract

In an era of globalization and modern scientific advancement, aligning scientific methodologies with Islamic principles is crucial to fostering an Islamic scientific paradigm. this research uses descriptive and analyses methods, while the type of research is library research. the purposes of this research are to reveal the position of semantics and Qur'anic science towards the Islamisation of science for its contribution to the civilisation of Islamic ideas. This study result by Semantic theory provides a framework for deeper comprehension of Qur'anic meanings, while the application of Qur'anic science bridges religious teachings with empirical inquiry. Together, these approaches demonstrate Islam's relevance and contributions to contemporary knowledge, particularly in fields such as genetic inheritance, which reflects the enduring harmony between Qur'anic insights and modern science.

Abstract

This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of the Asbabun Nuzul works by Al-Wahidi and As-Suyuthi in understanding the historical context behind the revelation of Qur'anic verses. Al-Wahidi and As-Suyuthi are two prominent figures in the tradition of Qur'anic exegesis who have made significant contributions to the development of the science of Asbabun Nuzul. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, this article compares the methodology, structure, and relevance of these works in contemporary exegesis studies. The findings reveal that Al-Wahidi focuses more on concise and chronological narratives, whereas As-Suyuthi incorporates broader linguistic and historical analyses. This study concludes that both works complement each other in providing a comprehensive understanding of the background of Qur'anic verses.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya karakter pendidik dalam pendidikan menurut perspektif Al-Qur'an dan pemikiran KH. Hasyim Asy'ari. Karakter guru wajib menjadi perhatian dikarenakan pendidik akan memiliki tugas untuk memperbaiki karakter dan moral peserta didik dan pendidik akan menjadi contoh bagi peserta didiknya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kepustakaan (library research) yaitu jenis penelitian yang mengacu pada Khazana kepustakaan seperti literatur utama Al-Qur'an dan buku Asy'ari, serta literatur sekunder, untuk menegaskan peran kritis pendidik dalam membentuk karakter dan moral peserta didik. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan ada beberapa karakteristik yang harus dimiliki oleh seorang guru meliputi zuhud, istiqamah, menunjukkan kebaikan, menghindari pekerjaan rendah, bersikap adil, serta menghargai dan menghormati perbedaan. KH. Hasyim Asy'ari, sebagai tokoh penting dalam pendidikan Islam, menekankan adab dalam proses belajar mengajar melalui karyanya "Adab Al-Alim Wa Al-Muta'alim”.

Abstract

In essence, the study of the Qur'an does not always focus on the text of the Qur'an (mā fil al-Qur'an) and what happens around the Qur'an (ma haul al-Qur'an), but it is possible also extends to the living Qur'an, consisting of social phenomena regarding the existence of the Qur'an in certain Muslim communities, or the daily lives of people who interact with the Qur'an, in other words the living Qur'an in society. This library research explores data from relevant library materials as a data source and uses qualitative descriptive methods to describe the problems studied. This article aims to explain the development of Al-Qur'an research into the realm of the living Qur'an, where so far Al-Qur'an research has mostly only focused on the text. Thus, the study of the living Qur'an can be an alternative in developing contemporary Al-Qur'an studies.

Abstract

One comprehensive commentary on religious moderation is Tafsīr Fī Ẓilāl al-Qurʾān by Sayyid Quṭb. However, this interpretation often faces negative stigma from certain groups who perceive it as radical and extreme. Previous studies have examined Sayyid Quṭb's ideas within the context of Islamic politics and the Islamist movement, but research that situates his thoughts within the framework of maqāṣid al-sharīʿah remains limited. In this regard, the maqāṣid asy-syarī’ah approach developed by al-Shāṭibī offers a more inclusive perspective for understanding the concept of moderation in the Qur'an and its application in contemporary life. This research employs a maqāṣid al-sharīʿah approach using qualitative methods. The analysis technique utilized refers to the theory of Miles and Huberman. The results of this research indicate that wasāṭiyyah plays a crucial role in preventing extreme attitudes, both in the form of extremism and liberalism, which can disrupt individual and social balance. Maqāṣid asy-syarī'ah emerged as a new methodology that has produced the Fiqh Ijtihādī and Fiqh Maqāṣidī approaches. Through this concept, Asy-Syāṭibī emphasized that the primary aim of Islamic law is to create benefits and promote good values in every implementation. Wasāṭiyyah, from the maqāṣid perspective, provides an adaptive framework for Muslims, ensuring that Islamic law remains relevant to various social, economic, and political situations. With the guidance of maqāṣid, moderation in Islam becomes the foundation for living harmoniously in a pluralistic society, where justice, tolerance, and benefit are the main priorities
