Abstract

This article aims to address the issue of curriculum stagnation in Indonesia, which often undergoes changes without yielding significant results. Many Muslim scholars have conducted in-depth research to identify the real problems within the curriculum, particularly focusing on the components of content and methodology. This article employs a literature study research method, gathering both primary and secondary data. The author finds that the curriculum is a learning tool designed to facilitate the educational process in achieving its goals. The curriculum consists of several components, namely objectives, content, methods, and evaluation. Based on the analysis of the Hadith  of Gabriel, the content components include aqidah (faith), fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), tasawuf (ethics), and eschatology. Additionally, the method derived from the Hadith  of Gabriel is the hiwar or dialogue method.

Abstract

The phrase Marriage is Scary resonates in Indonesian society, influenced by rising Marital Violence or KDRT cases. The Central Bureau of Statistics reported a decrease in marriages from 1,695,255 in 2022 to 1,577,255 in 2023. Factors like patriarchal culture and inadequate education contribute to this issue. This study examines the Qur'an's perspective on gender harmony and its role in reducing violence and fostering harmonious households. Using a qualitative, critical-historical approach, the research integrates Asbabunnuzul and Qishshatul Qur’an with a correlational or Munasabah theory by library research method. Findings highlight the Qur'an's emphasis on premarital education, balanced roles between spouses, and prioritizing gender harmony to prevent violence. The study identifies examples of ideal households in the Qur'an, such as the families of Prophet Ibrahim and Imran, illustrating the importance of faith, patience, and mutual cooperation in achieving harmony. In the Indonesian context, where patriarchal norms and increasing marital violence contribute to marital anxiety, this study emphasizes the importance of Qur'anic teachings on justice, mutual respect and premarital preparation for building resilient households.

Abstract

Comparative research in the field of Quranic exegesis has a significant impact on the development of Islamic thought and a deeper understanding of the messages of the Quran. This approach is championed by Abdul Mustaqim, a scholar dedicated to advancing Islamic studies in the domain of tafsir (exegesis). This article employs a descriptive-analytical method to explore the concept of comparative research as proposed by Abdul Mustaqim, particularly in addressing critiques that such studies merely juxtapose two or more opinions without engaging in critical and dialectical analysis. Through his monumental work, Epistemology of Contemporary Tafsir, Abdul Mustaqim introduces a comparative methodology aimed at enhancing methodological insights and frameworks in Quranic exegesis, thereby contributing to its academic application. The findings reveal that Abdul Mustaqim's comparative approach fosters more critical, incisive, and epistemologically rich interpretations. However, this approach faces challenges in synthesizing creative outcomes from its analyses. Therefore, further examination of the essence, objectives, and ideal methods of comparative research is necessary to maximize its relevance in tafsir studies.

Abstract

Qur’anic learning holds a central role in Islamic education, aiming not only to instill religious values but also to shape the spiritual character of students. However, to achieve these objectives effectively, educators must adopt appropriate teaching approaches. This study explores the integration of behaviorist and cognitive approaches in Qur’anic learning through a theoretical and comparative literature review. Using relevant academic sources such as books, peer-reviewed journals, and scholarly articles, this research analyzes the characteristics, strengths, and limitations of both approaches. The findings reveal that the behaviorist approach emphasizes repetition, reinforcement, and habit formation, making it effective for memorization and recitation. Meanwhile, the cognitive approach promotes comprehension, reflection, and contextual understanding, which are crucial for meaningful engagement with the Qur’an. Integrating both approaches offers a more holistic model that balances technical mastery and deep understanding. The study concludes that such integration enhances the effectiveness of Qur’anic pedagogy by combining structured reinforcement with active intellectual engagement. This research contributes to the development of more comprehensive and adaptive Qur’anic teaching methods, encouraging educators to design instructional strategies that nurture both the memorization and internalization of Qur’anic values in daily life.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the profound relevance between 21st century skills, namely 4C: Critical Thinking, Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, with the values of the Tarbawi hadith and to formulate an integrative education model. The research used a qualitative approach with library research method through content analysis of 21st century skills literature and the value of Tarbawi hadith. The findings reveal a fundamental and operational alignment between the two frameworks: critical thinking aligns with the concepts of tafaqquh, tadabbur, and tafakkur; communication aligns with the ethics of qaulan sadida, karima, and layyinan; collaboration aligns with the spirit of ta’awun and ukhuwah; and creativity aligns with the tradition of ijtihad and is oriented toward ishlah. This study concludes that the integration of 21st century skills and Hadith Tarbawi values is essential for creating holistic education. The implication is that educators and curriculum developers need to design learning models that organically unite the achievement of 21st century competencies with the internalization of Islamic values, in order to realize the Golden Generation of 2045 that is both competent and of noble character.

Abstract

The spread of hoaxes is one of the growing social challenges in the digital age, especially when information can spread widely without adequate verification. The Quran, as a source of ethics and guidance for life, provides important principles for addressing this phenomenon. Surah an-Nur verse 11, which recounts the story of the hadis ifki (false news) attributed to Aisya r.a, offers a moral and methodological framework for understanding the dangers of slander and how to anticipate it. This study aims to analyze this verse using a thematic and tafsīr maudhū’i approach in order to explore the values of the Quran related to caution in receiving news, verifying information, and the prohibition of spreading information that has not been proven to be true. The results of the study show that this verse not only emphasizes spiritual and ethical aspects, but also provides a concept of communication that is relevant to the current context. These principles of the Quran can be used as a foundation for building digital literacy and ethics in the use of social media, so that the public is able to anticipate and prevent the spread of hoaxes more effectively.

Abstract

This Religion encourages its followers to engage in various forms of social worship, one of which is adopting children from underprivileged families as a means of alleviating their hardships. However, in practice, adoption is often carried out by altering the legal status of the adopted child to that of a biological one, which contradicts Islamic principles. This study aims to examine the socio-legal implications of QS al-Aḥzāb: 4–5, which emphasize the rectification of the concept of child adoption (tabannī) in Islam. These verses serve as the foundational basis for abolishing the pre-Islamic adoption system that equated adopted children with biological offspring. This research employs a library-based methodology with an asbāb al-nuzūl approach. The data are analyzed descriptively in relation to contemporary socio-religious phenomena. The findings indicate that Islam does not prohibit the practice of child care (ḥaḍānah), but restricts its legal consequences to ensure that it does not violate principles related to lineage, inheritance, and mahram relationships. The study also highlights the implementation of these values at Muzdalifah Orphanage in Waru, Sidoarjo, which applies an Islamic ḥaḍānah-based caregiving system providing affectionate care without altering the child’s original identity. The study concludes that QS al-Aḥzāb: 4–5 contain not only legal dimensions but also profound social values affirming the importance of compassion, justice, and responsibility in safeguarding children within modern society.
