Abstract

Sexual violence against children and adolescents is a serious problem that can occur in various environments, including religious-based educational institutions. Santri, as a vulnerable age group, need adequate understanding of the forms, impacts, and prevention efforts of sexual violence. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of students at Dayah Modern Darul Ulum Banda Aceh regarding the prevention of sexual violence through socialisation and education activities. The methods used include counseling, interactive discussions, and question and answer sessions with students. The results of the activity showed an increase in the santri's understanding of the types of sexual violence, how to protect themselves, and the importance of reporting to trusted parties. This activity is expected to be a preventive measure in creating a safe, comfortable, and fair dayah environment for all santri

Abstract

Stunting remains a significant health issue in Indonesia due to its long-term impact on human resource quality and economic productivity. Despite various intervention programs, disparities in stunting rates between regions remain high, particularly in areas with diverse socioeconomic conditions. This study aims to identify patterns and group regions based on stunting risk levels using two machine learning approaches: Hierarchical Clustering (HC) and Deep Embedded Clustering (DEC). The data used are aggregated data from toddler measurements, including the number of toddlers measured, the number of stunting cases, and the percentage of stunting in the 2020–2024 period. The analysis was conducted by comparing the cluster results from the two methods. The HC method is implemented using an Agglomerative Clustering approach with the Ward linkage criterion, while DEC uses a layered autoencoder architecture optimized through Kullback–Leibler divergence. To assess cluster quality, the study uses the Silhouette Score metric. The results showed that HC produced the highest Silhouette score of 0.5430, while DEC reached 0.4874, with a year-on-year performance trend. These findings indicate that HC excels in clustering stability, while DEC is more adaptive to data complexity and nonlinear patterns. The combination of the two has the potential to support the formulation of more comprehensive, data-driven policies to identify and address stunting-prone areas.

Abstract

Recent advancements in nursing education have led to a shift in the paradigm from teacher-centered learning to experiential and reflective learning models. Tutorial-Based Laboratory Learning (TBLL) has emerged as an innovative approach to enhance nursing students’ clinical competence by integrating reflection, problem-solving, and simulation-based practice. This bibliometric study aims to map global research trends, conceptual structures, and thematic evolution in studies focusing on improving nursing students’ clinical skills through TBLL between 2015 and 2025. It also identifies the leading authors, institutions, journals, and countries that contribute to this field. A total of 48 articles were retrieved from the Scopus database and analyzed using VOSviewer 1.6.20 and Biblioshiny (R Studio) to visualize publication trends, keyword co-occurrence, co-authorship, and citation networks. The analysis followed descriptive, conceptual, and evolutionary approaches to illustrate global research patterns.  Findings reveal an increasing trend in publications, peaking in 2021, with Nurse Education Today as the most influential journal. Dominant themes include problem-based learning, critical thinking, self-efficacy, and nursing education. The United States, Turkey, and Australia lead global contributions, reflecting broad international engagement. Key influential contributions were identified through citation network analysis, with several highly cited studies shaping the core knowledge base of TBLL-related clinical skills research. The study highlights TBLL as a transformative pedagogical model that integrates cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning dimensions. This research contributes to nursing science by providing an evidence-based roadmap for curriculum innovation, reflective evaluation, and simulation-based clinical education in 21st-century nursing programs.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze stroke as a global health problem by examining its theoretical framework, scientific definitions, and underlying mechanisms through a comprehensive descriptive analysis. The research employs a qualitative approach using a descriptive method through a literature study. Data were collected through systematic literature searches and document analysis of credible academic sources, including peer reviewed journal articles and scientific publications discussing stroke epidemiology, risk factors, and pathophysiology. The collected literature was analyzed through qualitative procedures consisting of theme identification, data reduction, conceptual categorization, and inductive interpretation to develop a comprehensive understanding of the phenomenon. The results indicate that stroke remains one of the leading causes of mortality and long term disability worldwide, characterized by complex interactions between vascular dysfunction, metabolic risk factors, and molecular mechanisms such as neuroinflammation, oxidative stress, and neurovascular unit disruption. Hypertension and metabolic disorders were identified as the most significant modifiable risk factors contributing to the increasing global burden of stroke. Furthermore, advances in molecular neuroscience and emerging neurorehabilitation strategies provide new insights into prevention, diagnosis, and recovery processes. These findings highlight the importance of integrated approaches combining preventive healthcare, early detection, and multidisciplinary treatment strategies to address the global impact of stroke. In conclusion, this study contributes to strengthening the theoretical understanding of stroke as a multidimensional health issue and provides a conceptual foundation for future research and policy development in global health and cerebrovascular disease management.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a global health issue, with diabetic ulcers being a common complication and a high mortality rate. In 2021, around 576 million people worldwide had DM, and this number is projected to reach 643 million by 2030 and 787 million by 2045. The healing process of these ulcers is accelerated in a moist environment and with the use of appropriate primary dressings, such as Calcium Alginate. Objective: The aim is to determine the effect of Calcium Alginate primary dressing on the acceleration of diabetic ulcer healing during the proliferative phase. Methods: This research uses a quantitative study design with a quasi-experimental approach with a control group, employing a pre-test and post-test design. Respondents were divided into two groups: the intervention group and the control group. The intervention group received treatment with calcium alginate, while the control group received treatment with zinc cream. The sample was selected using the consecutive sampling technique. Results: The results of the research indicate a significant difference in the average rate of diabetic ulcer healing between the intervention and control groups. Conclusions: The statistical test was performed using an independent sample T-Test, resulting in a p-value of 0.000 (p ≤ α 0.05), indicating a significant effect of the Calcium Alginate primary dressing on the acceleration of diabetic ulcer healing during the proliferative phase, thus supporting its use in enhancing the healing process of diabetic ulcers in this phase.
