Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aplikasi biochar dengan level berbeda dankombinasi pupuk kandang terhadap produktivitas rumput odot (Pennisetum purpureum cv. Mott) ratunkedua pada tanah pasca tambang nikel. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL)dengan 4 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah A0 =Kontrol, 150 gr/polybag pupuk kandang, tanpa biochar, A1 = 150 gr/polybag pupuk kandang, 75gr/polybag biochar, A2 = 150 gr/polybag pupuk kandang, 150 gr/polybag biochar, A3 = 150gr/polybag pupuk kandang, 225 gr/polybag biochar. Parameter yang diamati meliputi produksi bahansegar, persentase daun dan produksi bahan kering. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasibiochar dengan level berbeda dan kombinasi pupuk kandang tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadapproduksi bahan segar dan persentase daun, tetapi berpengaruh (P<0,05) terhadap produksi bahankering. Produksi bahan segar, persentase daun dan produksi bahan kering masing-masing berkisarantara 28,63-53,47 ton/ha; 7,62-77,57 % dan 2,57-4,86 ton/ha. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalahproduktivitas rumput odot ratun kedua pada tanah lahan tambang nikel dengan aplikasi biochar danpupuk kandang kambing cenderung lebih baik.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kualitas fisik nugget itik dengan substitusi tepungberas ketan, dan tepung tapioka. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan AcakLengkap yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian iniadalah pH, susut masak, dan rendemen. Rancangan Acak Lengkap yang terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan5 ulangan. Subtitusi tepung beras ketan dan tepung tapioka terdiri dari tepung tapioka 100% dantepung beras ketan 0% (P1), tepung tapioka 75% dan tepung beras ketan 25% (P2), tepung tapioka50% dan tepung beras ketan 50% (P3), tepung tapioka 25% dan tepung beras ketan 75% (P4),tepung tapioka 0% dan tepung beras ketan 100% (P5). Hasil Penelitian ini menunjukan bahwapemberian subtitusi tepung beras ketan dan tepung tapioka tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap pH,susut masak, dan rendemen.

Abstract

The community service program focused on the Sumber Bibit Farmers Group, located in Mokoau Village, Kambu District, as the implementation site. The program aimed to enhance farmers’ knowledge and skills in processing organic waste into compost fertilizer that benefits soil fertility. The main challenge faced by the farmers’ group was the accumulation of waste derived from living organisms, both from agricultural activities and household waste, which had not been optimally utilized. The activity was carried out through training, demonstrations, and hands-on guidance in processing organic waste using simple technology with the help of local microorganisms (MOL) as bioactivators. Participants were involved in every stage of the process—from material collection and fermentation to packaging the finished compost product. The evaluation results indicated an increase in participants’ understanding of the importance of organic waste management and their ability to produce and utilize compost fertilizer independently. Through this training, the farmers’ group is expected to apply the technology sustainably to support organic and environmentally friendly agriculture in the Mokoau area.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance food security and family nutrition among small-scale livestock farmers through the implementation of an integrated livestock farming system in Mokoau Village, Kambu District, Kendari City. Most residents in this area rely on small-scale livestock farming with traditional management practices, resulting in suboptimal livestock productivity and inadequate family nutrition. The program provided training, technical assistance, and implementation of an integrated system combining livestock and crop farming to optimize local resource utilization. The method applied a participatory approach, consisting of several stages: initial survey, training, technical mentoring, and evaluation. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires, and interviews with farmers. The results showed significant improvement in livestock productivity, with an average increase in livestock body weight by 12–15% and egg production by 20%. Family protein consumption also increased by approximately 30% per week, indicating a tangible improvement in family nutrition quality. Furthermore, farmers’ knowledge and skills in feed management, livestock health, and waste utilization improved considerably. Livestock waste was processed into organic fertilizer for food crops, supporting the sustainability of the integrated livestock system. Overall, the program proved effective in enhancing productivity, food security, and the welfare of smallholder livestock farmers in Mokoau Village, and it serves as a sustainable community empowerment model for rural development.
