Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemahaman siswa tentang pernikahan dan seks bebas dalam konteks Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) serta mengeksplorasi strategi pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru dalam mengintegrasikan pendidikan seks dalam pembelajaran. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan dua orang guru PAI dan enam siswa kelas XII dari salah satu SMA Negeri di Kota Bandung. Teknik pengumpulan data mencakup wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman siswa tentang pernikahan didasarkan pada nilai-nilai agama, tanggung jawab spiritual, dan komitmen jangka panjang, sementara seks bebas dipandang sebagai risiko moral, sosial, dan kesehatan. Guru PAI memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk pemahaman ini melalui penggunaan pendekatan kreatif seperti Problem-Based Learning (PBL) dan teknologi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sentimen mahasiswa Muslim terhadap gerakan boikot produk Israel, berdasarkan fatwa Majelis Ulama Indonesia (MUI). Penelitian ini melibatkan 32 mahasiswa dari berbagai universitas di Indonesia, yang dipilih secara purposive untuk memastikan bahwa mereka memiliki pengetahuan terkait fatwa MUI. Data dikumpulkan secara daring menggunakan Google Form, dan dianalisis secara kualitatif serta kuantitatif untuk mengidentifikasi pola utama dalam pandangan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas mahasiswa mendukung gerakan boikot dengan pemahaman yang baik terhadap fatwa MUI. Responden juga menunjukkan kesadaran yang tinggi akan pentingnya aksi boikot sebagai bentuk solidaritas terhadap Palestina, serta manfaat ekonomi berupa dukungan terhadap produk lokal. Namun, beberapa kendala dalam implementasi boikot diungkapkan, termasuk ketergantungan pada produk multinasional tertentu yang sulit dihindari. Penelitian ini memiliki keterbatasan pada jumlah sampel yang terbatas dan metode daring yang mungkin tidak sepenuhnya representatif. Oleh karena itu, penelitian lanjutan disarankan untuk melibatkan lebih banyak responden dari berbagai wilayah di Indonesia dan menggunakan metode campuran seperti wawancara mendalam. Dengan pendekatan yang lebih luas dan mendalam, diharapkan dapat diperoleh pemahaman yang lebih komprehensif mengenai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi partisipasi mahasiswa dalam gerakan boikot produk Israel.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the efforts of internalizing the values of wasathiyyah in the endeavor to enhance religiosity and tolerance attitudes based on mentoring. Since the Indonesian government introduced the concept of religious moderation as a preventive measure to counteract radicalism in society, the majority of State Universities have sought to implement this policy through various programs on their campuses. In Indonesia, the official stance is against radical ideologies, given the potential divisive consequences and the emergence of terrorist actions. In 2016, the Setara Institute surveyed 171 schools in Jakarta and Bandung and observed that seeds of terrorist ideologies had emerged within classrooms. At the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, supported by the Rector, the Tutorial program was established with the aim of enhancing the individual piety of students. Using a qualitative approach, data collection combined ethnographic methods and interviews with 17 students. Data analysis followed the Miles and Huberman framework, including drawing, displaying data, reduction, and conclusion. The research findings indicate significant results, wherein the mentoring-based tutorial program with the internalization of wasathiyyah values enhances the religiosity and tolerance of students through the selection of qualified mentors, a wasathiyyah curriculum, inclusive communities, and ongoing evaluation. Collaboration with relevant parties is deemed necessary.  Keywords:  Wasathiyyah Values, Mentoring, Tolerance

Abstract

This study examines the application of crossword puzzle learning media to improve students' critical thinking skills in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) lessons in high school. Unlike previous studies that emphasize more on the development of low-level cognitive skills, this article aims to address the gap between theory and practice, in line with the demands of global competence and the independent curriculum. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive case study method involving 1 PAI teacher and 33 grade X students at SMAN 2 Bandung. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using the Miles & Huberman qualitative data analysis model. The findings of the study indicate that the use of crossword puzzles significantly increases student engagement, helps them think more critically, and improves their understanding of complex PAI concepts. Students feel more motivated and interested in crossword puzzle learning media, although there are some shortcomings related to the limited scope of material and the potential for frustration. This study concludes that crossword puzzle learning media can be an effective alternative to improve students' critical thinking skills in PAI learning. Berbeda dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang lebih menekankan pada pengembangan keterampilan kognitif tingkat rendah, artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kesenjangan antara teori dan praktik, sejalan dengan tuntutan kompetensi global dan  kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus deskriptif yang melibatkan 1 guru PAI dan 33 siswa kelas X di SMAN 2 Bandung. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis dengan model analisis data kualitatif Miles & Huberman. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan crossword puzzle silang secara signifikan meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa, membantu mereka berpikir lebih kritis, dan memperbaiki pemahaman mereka terhadap konsep-konsep PAI yang kompleks. Siswa merasa lebih termotivasi dan tertarik dengan media pembelajaran crossword puzzle, meskipun terdapat beberapa kekurangan terkait dengan cakupan materi yang terbatas dan potensi rasa frustrasi. penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran crossowrd puzzle dapat menjadi alternatif yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran PAI.

Abstract

The Training on the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum for Islamic Education (PAI) Teachers in Garut Regency aims to enhance teachers' competencies in integrating the Merdeka Curriculum into Islamic Education teaching. This training covers six main topics: the philosophy of the Merdeka Curriculum, lesson planning, innovative teaching models, selection of teaching media, strengthening the Student Profile of Pancasila through projects, and authentic assessment. The training methods involve interactive face-to-face sessions, simulations, and self-learning using digital modules. The program's participants consist of 70 Islamic Education (PAI) teachers from primary schools in Bayongbong District, Garut Regency. Evaluation results indicate that participants highly appreciated the training, particularly in terms of material relevance and the expertise of the trainers. Most participants felt that this program helped them understand and implement the Merdeka Curriculum in their schools. This training significantly contributes to improving the quality of Islamic Education teaching and can serve as a model for similar professional development programs in other regions.

Abstract

This study aims to explore Gen Z's perceptions of Islamic identity politics in Indonesia and its impact on their mindset and social life. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method of 62 respondents, the majority of whom are students. Data were collected through a Likert-based questionnaire designed to measure respondents' understanding and views on identity politics. The results showed that 43.5% of respondents considered Islamic identity politics to have the potential to divide society, while 51.6% of respondents considered the use of religious symbols in political campaigns to be quite effective. In addition, 77.5% of respondents acknowledged the major role of social media in shaping their views. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive and inferential statistical methods, which showed a significant relationship between identity politics and Generation Z's mindset and social life. This is manifested by the important role of a more inclusive approach in religious-based political policies in Indonesia. This finding is able to reflect how the younger generation is increasingly aware of complex social and political issues and shows their tendency to assess religious issues more rationally and openly. Therefore, this study provides an important contribution in understanding the dynamics of identity politics from the perspective of the younger generation who will be the main actors in the future of Indonesian democracy.

Abstract

The development of information technology and social media, especially TikTok, has had a significant impact on daily life, including the implementation of spiritual obligations such as prayer among students. This study aims to analyze the effect of the intensity of TikTok use on the implementation of obligatory prayers. This research method uses a qualitative approach with an online survey involving 43 students as respondents. The results showed that 86.04% of respondents admitted that they often postponed prayers because they were distracted by TikTok content, especially during the Isha prayer time. Dependence on this application can reduce the priority of worship obligations. Although the majority of respondents are aware of the importance of self-discipline and spiritual awareness, interest in digital content often affects time management. This study emphasizes the need to increase self-awareness, discipline, and time management for students to prevent neglect of worship. The main recommendation is to utilize the prayer reminder feature and limit the duration of TikTok use, so that the balance between digital entertainment and spiritual obligations can be maintained.

Abstract

This study discusses the struggle to reach the digital generation as a target of da'wah in the Social Media Era, focusing on analyzing Hanan Attaki's Podcast media as a media for da'wah. Given that the development of technology today leads humans to practice their lives online, including religious practices, especially da'wah activism, new methods are needed so that da'wah can run optimally. This article specifically aims to analyze the role of Podcast media in delivering da'wah messages to the digital generation. This article will explain the influence that can be gained by using podcasts as a da'wah media, their advantages and disadvantages, and their effectiveness in delivering the da'wah message itself. A qualitative approach with literature study and content analysis methods is used to analyze and explore in depth how podcasts, as a medium, can be used to reach an increasingly digitally connected audience. The research findings show that Podcastscan is an effective digital da'wah media because it can help audiences listen to da'wah more easily and flexibly. The practical implication of this research is the importance of utilizing media as an effective means of delivering da'wah in an effort to reach the digital generation.

Abstract

This study underscores the importance of teaching moderation in Islamic Religious Education (IRE) lectures at public universities (PU) to foster a climate of tolerance among students, countering radicalism and extremism. The primary objective is to explore student perceptions of tolerance learning within their religious courses. Employing a quantitative approach, the researchers conducted a descriptive survey involving 795 respondents, utilizing a cross-sectional design for data collection via a Likert scale questionnaire. Results revealed that a significant majority of students, 87.82%, hold a very good perception of tolerance learning in IRE lectures. Further analysis indicated that over 90% of respondents viewed the attitudes and thoughts of IRE lecturers on religious moderation positively (97.74%). Similarly, 95.37% appreciated the teaching methods and processes that enhance tolerance learning, while 93.38% positively assessed the teaching materials that promote these values. These findings indicate that tolerance learning is effectively occurring in IRE courses at PU. This research reinforces the strategic role of Islamic Religious Education in internalizing tolerant values among students, ultimately contributing to the promotion of religious moderation within the educational context.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Islamic law in diaspora naturalization, comparing dynamics across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the West. While naturalization has expanded globally due to economic integration, political participation, and security concerns, the role of Islamic law varies regionally. Using a qualitative comparative approach, this research analyzes policies in the three regions, supplemented by a Quantitative Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of Scopus-indexed journals under the PRISMA model. Findings reveal stark contrasts: In the Middle East, Islamic law is central to citizenship, particularly in religion-based status and family law, with deep integration into national legal systems. Southeast Asia adopts a more adaptive approach, prioritizing economic and skill-based naturalization while retaining Islamic principles in marriage and inheritance. Conversely, Western secular frameworks exclude formal recognition of Islamic law in naturalization, though diaspora communities often navigate dual legal realities. The study highlights how regional legal traditions, socio-political contexts, and migration policies shape these disparities. It concludes that Islamic law’s influence persists most strongly in the Middle East, remains contextually flexible in Southeast Asia, and operates informally in the West despite systemic secularization. These insights contribute to debates on religion, migration, and legal pluralism in global citizenship regimes. Abstrak:Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi hukum Islam dalam naturalisasi diaspora dengan membandingkan dinamika di Timur Tengah, Asia Tenggara, dan Barat. Meskipun naturalisasi telah meluas secara global karena integrasi ekonomi, partisipasi politik, dan pertimbangan keamanan, peran hukum Islam bervariasi secara regional. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif komparatif, penelitian ini menganalisis kebijakan di ketiga wilayah, dilengkapi dengan Systematic Literature Review (SLR) kuantitatif terhadap jurnal terindeks Scopus menggunakan model PRISMA. Temuan mengungkap kontras yang tajam. Di Timur Tengah, hukum Islam menjadi sentral dalam kewarganegaraan, terutama menyangkut status berbasis agama dan hukum keluarga, dengan integrasi mendalam ke dalam sistem hukum nasional. Asia Tenggara mengadopsi pendekatan lebih adaptif, mengutamakan naturalisasi berbasis ekonomi dan keterampilan sambil mempertahankan prinsip Islam dalam perkawinan dan warisan. Sebaliknya, kerangka sekuler Barat tidak mengakui hukum Islam secara formal dalam naturalisasi, meskipun komunitas diaspora sering menghadapi realitas hukum ganda. Studi ini menyoroti bagaimana tradisi hukum regional, konteks sosio-politik, dan kebijakan migrasi membentuk disparitas ini. Disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh hukum Islam paling kuat di Timur Tengah, tetap fleksibel secara kontekstual di Asia Tenggara, dan beroperasi secara informal di Barat meski ada sekularisasi sistemik. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada debat tentang agama, migrasi, dan pluralisme hukum dalam rezim kewarganegaraan global.
