Abstract

This Community Service (PkM) activity aims to enhance the readiness of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) institutions to undergo the accreditation process through structured assistance. Based on the initial mapping of 76 PAUD institutions in Sikur District, East Lombok, it was found that most institutions lacked a comprehensive understanding of the accreditation instruments and had yet to complete the required institutional documents by the National Standards for PAUD. This activity involved eight partner institutions and was carried out through three main stages: training on accreditation standards, assistance in preparing institutional documents, and simulation of filling out the digital instrument (Sispena 3.1). The method employed was participatory and field-based, with a hands-on approach and intensive mentoring. The results of the activity showed a significant improvement in institutional managerial capacity, digital skills of administrators, and the establishment of collaborative networks among PAUD institutions at the sub-district level. This mentoring program not only resulted in accreditation documents that meet the standards but also encouraged quality-based institutional transformation and fostered a reflective culture in educational governance. The implications of this activity indicate that a contextual and collaborative approach is effective in bridging the quality gap of PAUD institutions in the region.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of facilities and infrastructure, adoption of information technology, and principal leadership on teacher performance. This study was conducted in a public high school involving 150 teachers as respondents. The research method used was quantitative with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that facilities and infrastructure positively and significantly affected teacher performance. Likewise, adopting information technology is important in improving the efficiency of teaching, planning, and assessment. Principal leadership also significantly affected teacher motivation, discipline, and professional development. The combined effect of the three variables showed a strong and positive correlation to improving teacher performance. Furthermore, this study highlights the need for a systemic approach in school management. Facilities and infrastructure are physical and psychological supporting elements affecting teacher comfort and work enthusiasm. Adopting information technology must be accompanied by ongoing training so that teachers are not only passive users but can also explore the innovative teaching potential. Meanwhile, the principal needs to play a role as a transformational leader who not only directs but also inspires teachers to continue to develop. These findings can be used as a reference for school management and policymakers in designing effective strategies to support and improve the quality of education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of certification on teacher performance through student learning achievement at Al-Furqon Educational Institution. The background of this study is driven by great attention to improving the quality of education in Indonesia, especially in terms of teacher performance that affects student learning achievement. Teacher certification implemented by the government is expected to improve teacher competence and welfare, but there is still debate about its impact on teacher performance and student achievement. Based on this, this study aims to explore more deeply the effect of certification on teacher performance and how student learning achievement can act as a mediator in the relationship. This study uses a quantitative approach with structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis. The population in this study were all teachers at Al-Furqon Educational Institution, with samples taken using census techniques, namely all teachers at the institution. The results of the study indicate that: 1) Certification has a significant effect on teacher performance, 2) Teacher performance is significantly impacted by student learning achievement. 3) Through student learning achievement as an intervening variable, certification significantly affects teacher performance. This study contributes new findings that the effect of certification on teacher performance is greater when through student learning achievement compared to the direct effect of certification. Thus, this study enriches the theory regarding the role of student learning achievement in improving teacher performance and provides practical implications for teacher certification policies that not only focus on improving teacher competence, but also pay attention to its impact on student learning achievement as an important factor in improving the quality of education as a whole.

Abstract

This study focuses on the evaluation of the planning of 9-year compulsory basic education in East Lombok Regency, with the main objective of assessing the effectiveness of planning oriented to minimum service standards (MSS). This education planning is considered important in addressing the gap in access to education and improving the quality of basic education at the regional level. The research hypothesis is that the proper implementation of MSS in basic education planning can significantly improve access and quality of education and reduce illiteracy rates in the region. This research method combines qualitative and quantitative approaches through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, involving stakeholders such as education officials, school principals, and community leaders. This study found that the planning structure and products have included an in-depth analysis and appropriate budget allocation, but budget challenges and community support are aspects that need to be improved. The discussion of the research results emphasizes the importance of involving the community more actively and strengthening cross-sectoral collaboration to optimize the planning and implementation of basic education. Overall, this study makes a significant contribution to understanding the complexity of basic education planning in the region and offers recommendations for increasing the effectiveness of SPM implementation, which can play a role in improving the quality of education and reducing educational disparities in East Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Background. The implementation of School-Based Management (SBM) aims to enhance the quality of education by decentralizing decision-making and promoting school autonomy. However, its effectiveness is influenced by various internal and external factors. Purpose. This research examines the key factors affecting the success of SBM in schools. The primary objective is to identify and analyze these factors, which include leadership, teacher involvement, community participation, and resource management. Method. A mixed-methods approach was used, combining qualitative interviews with school principals, teachers, and education officials, and quantitative data gathered through surveys distributed to stakeholders. Results. The findings reveal that strong leadership, effective teacher collaboration, active community engagement, and adequate resources significantly contribute to the effectiveness of SBM. However, challenges such as insufficient training and limited access to resources hinder its full implementation. Conclusion. The study concludes that for SBM to be effective, schools must invest in professional development, enhance communication between stakeholders, and ensure better resource allocation. The research offers recommendations for policy makers and school administrators to improve the SBM framework and achieve more effective educational outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of a social education management system for bullying prevention at SMAN 1 Sikur, East Lombok. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving school principals, teachers, and students. The findings reveal that the implementation of social education in the school remains unsystematic and is not yet integrated into the school’s planning documents. The roles of teachers and school leaders in fostering an anti-bullying culture are still limited, and no internal policies explicitly support bullying prevention efforts. Nevertheless, there is significant potential to develop a culturally grounded social education system based on local wisdom from the Sasak community, such as the values of cooperation (begawe) and mutual assistance. Integrating these local values into the school’s social education management may enhance students' social character and foster a more inclusive and safe school environment. Therefore, a strategic, collaborative, and contextual management approach is needed to ensure sustainable bullying prevention initiatives.

Abstract

This research aims to identify gaps in existing research to improve the quality of teacher performance in the future. To achieve this objective, the study poses two research questions. Firstly, the research aims to analyze the influence of leadership in Islamic boarding schools (madrasah) and the working environment on teacher performance, both separately and collectively. Secondly, the research aims to identify and analyze variables that have a dominant influence in this context. These questions will be directed to respondents who have knowledge or understanding relevant to the research theme, which includes the leadership of madrasah principals, the working environment, and teacher performance. Based on the foregoing description, the preliminary results of this research indicate that leadership in the madrasah and the working environment significantly influence teacher performance. In other words, the more effective the leadership in the madrasah and the supportive working environment, the higher the level of teacher performance that can be achieved. Additionally, the research suggests that the role of madrasah leadership has a more dominant influence on teacher performance compared to other factors considered in this study. This research is a quantitative study with a survey approach. The data used are primary data obtained directly from 86 respondents through questionnaires. The findings of this study confirm that both madrasah leadership and the working environment have a simultaneous and partial influence, with madrasah leadership being the more dominant factor affecting teacher performance.
