The transformation of education in the digital era requires educators to possess competencies that effectively integrate technology, pedagogy, and learning content. This study aims to formulate practical recommendations for educators and curriculum developers to optimally integrate TPACK into Indonesian language learning by identifying its impact on language skills. The research method employed is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of national and international scholarly publications published between 2020 and 2025. Literature searches were conducted through databases such as Google Scholar, and SINTA. Inclusion criteria covered studies discussing the implementation of TPACK in early childhood education, primary schools, and secondary schools within the context of teaching Indonesian language. Based on a total of 12 scholarly publications, the findings reveal that 25% reported the application of TPACK positively impacted receptive language skills (listening and reading), 42% influenced expressive language skills (writing and speaking), and 33% affected non-language skills (learning autonomy, learning motivation, and improved learning outcomes). Overall, the implementation of TPACK aligns with the demands of education in the digital era by helping educators integrate subject content with technology, particularly in language skills. However, there is still a scarcity of scholarly publications examining the effectiveness of this method in Indonesian language instruction. Therefore, in addition to recommending the application of this teaching model, this study is also expected to serve as a reference for future research.

This study was driven by the fact that cases of intolerance are still found in Indonesia, including within educational institutions. These conditions show the need for better understanding and application of religious moderation values. One of the efforts to provide students with an understanding of religious moderation values is through the efforts of Islamic education teachers in integrating these values through the Hasthalaku culture, so that students are able to understand and apply the teachings of Islam based moderation values while also respecting local culture as a form of moderation attitude. Hasthalaku Solo, which is part of Javanese culture, is in line with religious moderation values, as both aim to create a harmonious and tolerant life. This study aims to explore the efforts of Islamic education teacher in integrating religious moderation values through the Hasthalaku culture at SMAN 1 Kartasura, Sukoharjo Central Java. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research was conducted from October 2024 to March 2025. The subjects of the study were the Islamic education teacher of class XI F9 and the Muslim students of class XI F9. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The validity of the data was ensured using source and method triangulation. The data were analyzed through the stages of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study show that the Islamic education teacher integrates religious moderation values both inside and outside the teaching and learning process by using Hasthalaku values to strenghthen students’ understanding of the importance of living in peace, respecting differences, appreciating culture, loving the homeland, and practicing justice. This integration is carries out by embedding these values into Islamic education lessons, using learning strategies such as discussion and case studies, as well as through the teacher’s personal example.

This qualitative study explores the integration of technology in EFL (English as a Foreign Language) classrooms for young learners, focusing on the challenges and the application of the SAMR (Substitution, Augmentation, Modification, Redefinition) model. Using narrative inquiry through interviews and documentation, the research identifies key challenges, including limited access to digital devices, reliance on parental involvement, difficulties in maintaining student motivation, and challenges in finding curriculum-aligned digital materials. In terms of SAMR implementation, the teacher primarily apply substitution, replacing traditional tools with digital versions like e-textbooks and PDFs, and augmentation, where technology enhances tasks through online quizzes and internet-based material exploration. However, the modification and redefinition stages have not been implemented, largely due to access limitations and the developmental stage of the learners. The findings highlight the need for thoughtful integration of technology that accounts for young learners’ readiness and ensures they are the primary beneficiaries. Integrating digital tools should go beyond trend adoption and focus on creating meaningful, accessible, and motivating learning experiences.

The integration of technology in Indonesian language learning at the Senior High School level (SMA/MA/SMK) is becoming increasingly important in the digital era. One potential innovation is the use of educational games as a learning medium that can enhance students' motivation, creativity, and understanding in an interactive manner. However, the implementation of educational games also presents various challenges, such as device readiness, teacher skills, and the alignment of content with the curriculum. This study aims to explore the opportunities and challenges of integrating educational games in Indonesian language learning at the senior secondary level, to provide a strategic overview for educators and policymakers. The method used in this research is a literature review, conducted by examining various literatures and previous research related to the utilization of educational games and innovative learning in the digital era. After the data is collected through the literature review, a descriptive qualitative analysis is carried out as the next step to interpret the data. The results indicate that the integration of educational games has great potential to enrich the teaching and learning process, increase student engagement, and support the success of Indonesian language learning. However, this study also reveals technical barriers, including the critical role of teachers in guiding the use of games, the need for adaptive content development, and its compatibility with curriculum standards. This study is expected to contribute both theoretically and practically to the development of innovative learning models based on digital technology, especially educational games. Furthermore, the findings can serve as a reference for teachers, educational media developers, and policymakers in designing effective and sustainable strategies for implementing educational games in Senior High Schools (SMA/MA/SMK).

In the post–New Order era, the horror-religious genre in Indonesia has experienced a surge in popularity, reflecting a complex interplay of public anxieties and fantasies regarding religious authority. Although this phenomenon has attracted scholarly attention, existing interpretations remain largely confined to a “desacralization” framework that narrows the understanding of the diversity of ustaz figures. Such approaches often overlook the connection between on-screen representations and broader socio-cultural dynamics, particularly the shifting locus of religious authority within the new media ecosystem. This study adopts a literary and cultural studies perspective, employing a functional typology analysis of selected Indonesian horror-religious films released after New Order era. The analysis identifies three main archetypes of the ustaz: sacred yet vulnerable, reflecting uncertainty over the relevance of traditional authority; corrupt or corporatized, offering a critique of the commodification of preaching; and heroic and re-sacralized, presenting a collective fantasy of an ideal Islamic leader who is modern, strong, and protective. The findings reveal that these archetypes represent a symbolic arena where the public negotiates the crisis and reconstruction of religious authority in the post–New Order era. Horror-religious cinema does not merely mirror reality but actively intervenes in it: packaging societal anxieties, critiques, and aspirations into accessible yet meaning-laden visual narratives. This research thus positions film as a strategic interdisciplinary pathway for understanding the intersections of religion, media, and the market in Indonesia, while offering a significant contribution to global discourses on the contestation of religious authority.

This research looks at how political campaigns use fun and catchy content on social media, particularly on TikTok. It focuses on the viral jingle “Oke Gas” used by Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming during Indonesia’s 2024 presidential election. As more people use the internet and social media, political campaigns have also changed. They now use videos, songs, and dances to attract voters, especially young people. One example is how the “Oke Gas” jingle became popular and was used to promote the number 02 candidates in a fun and modern way. To understand this, this research uses Sianne Ngai’s idea of the gimmick. A gimmick is something that looks fun and exciting but may not have much real value. This theory helps explain why some campaign content feels entertaining but later seems empty or disappointing. This research uses a qualitative method called netnography, which studies online behavior. Four TikTok videos with the “Oke Gas” jingle and the comments were analyzed, both before and after the election. At first, many people liked the jingle and shared positive comments. But after the candidates won and introduced some unpopular policies, public opinion changed. People started making fun of the jingle and felt disappointed. The results show that fun campaign tools like jingles can get attention fast, but they may lose meaning over time if not followed by good leadership. This research helps to understand how political messages are shared online and suggests that future campaigns should focus not only on being entertaining but also on being honest and meaningful.

This research examines Sundanese traditional proverbs as culturally embedded oral artefacts that embody aesthetic values, local wisdom and intangible cultural heritage within West Java’s Sundanese communities. Departing from conventional folkloristic and literary approaches that often treat proverbs as static texts, this study adopts a Barthesian semiotic framework, drawing on Roland Barthes’s theory of myth to analyze proverbs as dynamic signifying systems that naturalize cultural ideologies and encode inherited worldview. Through participatory ethnography over eighteen proverbs were collected through community interviews, oral storytelling and archival triangulation. Each proverb was examined not only in its linguistic form but as a mythic structure in Barthes’ sense, a second-order semiological system that transform cultural values into self-evident truths. Findings highlight that Sundanese traditional proverbs function as aesthetic-cultural systems, conveying harmony with nature, intergenerational respect, communal balance and resistance to cultural homogenization. By examining how these proverbs operate both semantically and ideologically, the study shows how they act as mythic speech that reinforces local identity and moral consciousness, while simultaneously adapting to contemporary cultural contexts. This re-framing challenges the treatment of proverbs as inert folklore and instead presents them as living, semiotic practices that play an active role in the negotiation of meaning, memory and cultural continuity. Ultimately, this study offers a novel methodological contribution by integrating aesthetic analysis with Barthesian semiotics to interrogate oral traditions within endangered linguistic communities. It argues for the urgent preservation and revalorization of such oral artefacts as part of broader efforts in cultural sustainability and intangible heritage protection. In doing so, the findings contribute not only to Sundanese cultural studies but also to wider interdisciplinary dialogue on language preservation, the aesthetics of local wisdom and the politics of representation in intangible heritage discourses.
