Abstract

This study aims to determine the Effect of Good Governance Practices on the Quality of KTP Services at the Tiroang District Office, Pinrang Regency: Quantitative Analysis, and to find out. This research method approach uses a quantitative descriptive approach. The population in this study were 97 people in Tiroang sub-district. The sample technique used was incidental sampling. The data collection techniques used in this study were observation, questionnaires, and literature studies. The data collected were then processed and analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis techniques and simple linear regression analysis with the help of descriptive statistics using SPSS and a Likert scale.      The results showed that the practice of good governance in the tiroang sub-district office was categorized as good with the percentage results: a) Transparency 64.6%, b) Accountability 63.2%, c) Participation 65.4%, d) Rule of Law 62.8%, e) Effectiveness and Efficiency 64.2%, f) Equality and Inclusiveness 61.8%, g) Responsiveness 66.4%, h) Consensus-Oriented 66%, i) Strategic Vision 63.6%, with an average of 63.6%. Strategic Vision 63.6%, with an average percentage of 64.2%. While the quality of KTP services at the tiroang sub-district office is categorized as good with the percentage results of a) Physical Evidence 63.4%, b) Reliability 63.8%, c) Responsiveness 64.2%, d) Guarantee 63.2%, e) Attention 63%, with an average percentage of 63.5%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the dynamics of local politics in the 2021 Election of Peaceful Village Heads in Sidenreng Rappang Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, field notes, and documentation. Resource persons were selected by purposive sampling. Data analysis namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusions displayed through Nvivo 12 Plus Software visualization. NVivo 12 Plus was chosen because it is capable of producing qualitative text data in the form of attractive data visualizations. The results of this study indicate that the local political dynamics that occurred in the Peace Village head election led to polarization in the village community structure. The election of the village head still leaves a mark in which there has been a rift in relations between the people who still have close family ties. The dynamics occur in three phases, namely pre-election, implementation of the election, and post-election. The behavior of the voting community in Damai Village is still dominated by the behavior of traditional voters. The occurrence of community polarization in Damai Village is the result of the political behavior of the people who are still traditional.

Abstract

The digital era has transformed communication patterns among millennials and Gen Z in Indonesia. This study analyzes the phenomenon of code-mixing and code-switching on social media among students at STIE Balikpapan as representatives of the digital generation in a multiethnic environment. Employing a qualitative method with a virtual ethnography approach, data were collected through six months of virtual participant observation and systematic digital documentation across multiple social media platforms. The findings reveal that code-mixing predominantly occurs in intra-sentential and intra-lexical forms, while code-switching takes inter-sentential forms according to communication contexts. The primary factors driving mixed language use are social identity, communication efficiency, and audience adaptation. Balikpapan's multiethnic context enriches these practices through interactions among Indonesian, regional languages, and English. These findings contribute to the field of digital sociolinguistics and serve as a reference for language learning in higher education institutions and the development of Indonesian language policies.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the application of behaviorist theory in improving students' basic discipline and cognition in science learning in elementary school. The method used is library research, by collecting and analyzing various written sources such as books, scientific journals, articles, and other publications relevant to the topic. The theory of behaviorism was chosen because it emphasizes the formation of behavior through stimulus and response, which is considered effective in building disciplinary habits and strengthening students' basic understanding of science concepts. The research process is carried out by examining relevant sources, recording the main principles, and comparing the views and findings of various authors. The results of the study show that behaviorism-based learning strategies, such as positive reinforcement, punishment, and repetitive exercises, can help students develop disciplined behaviors and improve their conceptual understanding of science. These findings are expected to be a reference for teachers and education practitioners in designing more effective and theory-based learning approaches.

Abstract

This study is a quasi-experimental study that aims to determine the existence of positive effects of active learning type quiz team of student learning outcomes with "The Only posttest Control Design". The population in this study were all students in class XI IPA. The samples was obtained by randomly. Class XI IPA 2 as a control class and class XI IPA 3 as a experiment class. The study consist of two variables, are the Active Learning Type Quiz Team as independent variables and learning outcomes as the dependent variable. The data obtained through test of learn result to the subject matter of colloidal systems were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Descriptive analysis results showed the average value of the control class is 68 with a deviation standard of 12.44 while in the experimental class the average was 76.08 with a deviation standard is 11.12 with the thoroughness of 79.16% for the control class and 92% for experiments class. The results of hypothesis testing using t-test , ​​obtained tcomputation = 2.41 and ttable= 2.019 at significance level α = 0.05 with df = k-3, where tcomputation > ttable which means H0 rejected and H1 accepted. This showed that there are positive effect of active learning types quiz team of student learning outcomes.

Abstract

In an increasingly globalized world, English proficiency is essential for academic and professional success. However, many first-semester English Education students at Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidenreng Rappang remain at a basic proficiency level, which hinders their progression toward intermediate competence as required by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). This research addresses the lack of tailored instructional materials that support students’ transition from basic to intermediate proficiency. This study aims to design and develop instructional materials based on a comprehensive needs analysis. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) methodology with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), the research engaged 30 first-semester students, three lecturers, and five alumni. Data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, diagnostic tests, pretests, posttests, and classroom observations. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests, while qualitative data were examined thematically. The findings revealed that students faced significant challenges in speaking fluently, comprehending oral input at natural speed, identifying main ideas in reading, and organizing ideas in writing. The developed instructional materials, which integrated task-based and skill-based approaches aligned with CEFR descriptors, demonstrated effectiveness in bridging these gaps. Posttest results showed significant improvement across all four language skills, confirming the materials’ role in supporting students’ transition toward intermediate proficiency. This research contributes to English language education by providing empirically validated instructional materials that respond to learners’ actual needs. It offers practical implications for lecturers, institutions, and future researchers in designing relevant and level-appropriate English learning resources.

Abstract

The refugee and asylum seeker phenomenon raises complex legal issues, especially concerning their citizenship status and international legal protection. Many refugees face statelessness, which requires legal safeguards under international instruments such as the 1951 Refugee Convention and the 1967 Protocol. However, Indonesia has not ratified the 1951 Convention, relying instead on Presidential Regulation No. 125 of 2016. This study aims to compare the citizenship status of refugees and asylum seekers under international law and Indonesian national law. The research employs a normative legal method with a comparative approach by examining legal instruments, academic journals, and literature. The results show that international law provides broader protection, while Indonesian national law is limited to administrative and humanitarian aspects without granting permanent citizenship. In conclusion, there exists a normative gap between international conventions and Indonesian legal policies, requiring harmonization to ensure adequate protection for refugees and asylum seekers.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui strategi pemerintah dalam pemberdayaan petani dengan pendekatan New Public Service (NPS) di Kelurahan Manisa, Kecamatan Baranti, Kabupaten Sidenreng Rappang. Paradigma NPS digunakan untuk menganalisis sejauh mana pemerintah menerapkan nilai-nilai pelayanan publik berbasis warga negara dalam mendukung pemberdayaan petani Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan melibatkan total 48 partisipan yang mencakup petani, aparat kelurahan, dan penyuluh pertanian. Metode perolehan informasi dalam riset ini ialah melalui pengamatan langsung, penyebaran angket, serta telaah literatur, sementara pengolahan datanya memanfaatkan statistik deskriptif. Temuan riset mengindikasikan bahwa Strategi Pemerintah dalam mengimplementasikan asas-asas New Public Service dinilai belum optimal, yang tercermin dari skor rata-rata pencapaian sebesar 56%. Begitu pula pemberdayaan petani yang mencakup indikator partisipasi aktif, akses sumber daya, kemandirian, penguatan kelembagaan, kesadaran hak, dan keadilan sosial berada pada rata-rata 56,12%, juga termasuk kategori “kurang baik”. Faktor-faktor penghambat antara lain adalah kurangnya partisipasi aktif petani, lemahnya fungsi kelembagaan lokal, dan belum optimalnya penyampaian informasi oleh pemerintah. Penelitian ini menyarankan perlunya penguatan peran pemerintah sebagai fasilitator serta peningkatan kapasitas petani melalui pelatihan dan partisipasi yang lebih inklusif.

Abstract

This study analyzes the educational services marketing model in improving the brand image of the Al Ikhlash Lampoko Modern at Islamic Boarding School. This type of research is qualitative with a grounded theory approach. Data sources are the leadership of the foundation, the boarding school, teachers, staff, and students. Data analysis is carried out through five systematic stages, namely problem formulation, theoretical review, data collection, analysis, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that educational services marketing is carried out in an integrated manner, utilizing digital technology through social media and websites, as well as direct marketing support through social activities and interpersonal communication. This strategy effectively strengthens the brand image with targeted geographic, demographic, and psychographic market segmentation. Digital marketing has been proven to expand the reach of the Islamic boarding school, support external recognition, and increase public trust through an emphasis on character education and student skill development. Regular evaluation is essential to maintain the sustainability of service quality.

Abstract

Program pengabdian masyarakat ini berfokus pada peningkatan daya saing usaha kapsul hotel di Indonesia melalui studi benchmarking ke Singapura. Pertumbuhan sektor pariwisata yang pesat mendorong kebutuhan akan penginapan yang efisien, terjangkau, dan berbasis teknologi. Singapura telah berhasil mengimplementasikan model bisnis kapsul hotel dengan regulasi jelas, infrastruktur maju, dan penerapan teknologi canggih seperti sistem check-in otomatis, smart room technology, dan pemasaran berbasis big data. Program pengabdian ini melibatkan kolaborasi akademisi dan mahasiswa pascasarjana dengan mitra usaha di Indonesia dan Singapura menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran meliputi studi literatur, benchmarking, survei, wawancara mendalam, pelatihan, pendampingan, serta implementasi teknologi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa Singapura unggul dalam integrasi KTP elektronik, paspor biometrik, facial recognition, chatbot AI, dan aplikasi mobile yang memungkinkan efisiensi operasional tinggi. Mitra usaha di Indonesia berhasil meningkatkan efisiensi operasional 30 persen dan okupansi 15 persen setelah mengikuti program pelatihan dan pendampingan. Rekomendasi yang diusulkan meliputi penguatan infrastruktur digital, kolaborasi dengan pemerintah dalam pengembangan regulasi, edukasi pelanggan, integrasi teknologi keamanan dan AI, serta peningkatan strategi pemasaran digital berbasis data. Program ini sejalan dengan kebijakan Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka dan mendukung pencapaian Indikator Kinerja Utama perguruan tinggi dalam meningkatkan relevansi lulusan dengan dunia industri serta pemberdayaan masyarakat.
