Abstract

This research investigates the impact of specific digital supply chain technologies on visibility and efficiency within Indonesian maritime logistics. Through qualitative interviews with 15 industry experts and descriptive analysis, the study explores the utilization and perception of technologies like blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), and artificial intelligence (AI) in cargo tracking, route optimization, and port management. Findings reveal the transformative potential of these technologies in enhancing transparency, accountability, and operational efficiency within the Indonesian maritime sector. Additionally, alignment with international standards and best practices underscores Indonesia's commitment to professionalism and global collaboration. The research contributes to a nuanced understanding of digitalization in maritime logistics, providing actionable insights for stakeholders, policymakers, and technology developers.

Abstract

This research explores the utilization of digital marketing and e-commerce platforms for enhancing maritime logistics services in Indonesia. Through qualitative inquiry and descriptive analysis, insights were gleaned from interviews with industry professionals. Key findings highlight the prevalence of social media engagement, widespread adoption of e-commerce platforms, and challenges related to digital literacy and skills development. Benchmarking against international best practices reveals areas of strength and opportunities for improvement. Recommendations include investing in digital skills development, fostering collaboration, embracing technology, prioritizing customer-centricity, and cultivating a culture of continuous improvement. By aligning practices with global standards and leveraging digitalization, Indonesian logistics providers can drive sustainable growth and competitiveness in an increasingly digitalized marketplace

Abstract

In a dynamic landscape of global trade, the competitiveness of ports is paramount. This research explores the strategies employed by emerging ports to establish themselves amidst established facilities. Through qualitative interviews and descriptive analysis, the study delves into key factors driving port success, including infrastructure investment, operational efficiency, geographic advantage, service portfolio diversification, and marketing prowess. Additionally, it evaluates aspects like financial viability, environmental sustainability, regulatory compliance, technological innovation, human capital development, and risk management. Findings reveal that successful new ports prioritize advanced technology, streamlined processes, strategic locations, specialized services, effective branding, and robust financial management. They also emphasize environmental responsibility, regulatory adherence, innovation adoption, talent cultivation, and risk mitigation. By comprehensively analyzing these elements, this research offers insights crucial for new ports seeking to navigate and thrive within the complex web of port competition.
