Abstract

The mental health of students in Islamic boarding schools faces increasingly complex challenges in the digital era, but the management model of mental health integrated with Islamic boarding school values is still limited. This study aims to develop a mental health management model in Islamic boarding schools that incorporates a modern psychological approach with Islamic spiritual values in facing the challenges of the digital era. Qualitative research methods, combined with a literature study approach, were applied during the period 2022-2025. This analysis focused on the latest scientific literature regarding the mental health of students, health management models in Islamic educational institutions, and the documentation of best practices in psychological guidance within Islamic boarding schools. The results of the study identified an increase in cases of mental health disorders among students related to the intensity of gadget use, academic pressure, and conflicts between traditional and modern values. The comprehensive mental health management model developed consists of five key components: an early detection system and periodic assessment, an integrated counseling service unit that combines a modern psychological approach with Islamic spiritual values, a tiered digital literacy program, a peer support system, and a referral network and collaboration with professional mental health institutions. The identified implementation strategies include a phased approach, the development of tiered training modules, the integration of programs into the curriculum, and wise use of digital technology. This model bridges the gap between the traditional approach based on religious values and the modern approach based on scientific knowledge and provides an operational framework that can be adapted by various types of Islamic boarding schools according to their characteristics and capacities. The limitation of this study lies in the absence of empirical validation in various types of Islamic boarding schools, so further research is needed to test the effectiveness of the model in various contexts.

Abstract

This study investigates the implementation of gadget use on social behavior and learning effectiveness of students at SMK Arrasyadiyah, Serang City. Along with the development of digital technology, the use of gadgets among students is increasingly widespread, including its use as a learning tool, entertainment, and social communication. This study aims to analyze the impact of gadget use on social behavior and learning effectiveness of students through a qualitative approach. Data collection methods include observation and in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and schools. The results of the study show a dual impact of gadget use. Positively, gadgets increase students' access to information and expand their social networks. However, negatively, excessive gadget use can reduce direct social interaction, decrease interpersonal communication skills, and disrupt focus and concentration in learning. Furthermore, this study highlights the importance of managing gadget use wisely. The role of teachers and parents is crucial in guiding students to use gadgets for academic purposes without sacrificing their social interactions. Therefore, this study recommends the development of school policies that regulate the use of gadgets in learning. This policy is expected to maximize the benefits of technology while minimizing the negative impacts on students' social and academic development. Thus, students can utilize technology optimally to support their learning process without ignoring the importance of healthy social interactions.

Abstract

This study investigates the complex nature of organizational culture in educational institutions by analyzing its core components, influencing factors, and strategic improvement approaches through a systematic literature review. Recognizing the pivotal role of organizational culture as a determinant of institutional effectiveness, this research synthesizes theoretical perspectives and empirical findings from peer-reviewed studies published between 2013 and 2023. Guided by PRISMA protocols, the review encompasses literature sourced from major academic databases, including, SINTA, Garuda, Scopus, Web of Science, ERIC, and ScienceDirect, and applies thematic analysis to extract patterns, frameworks, and practical insights. The findings reveal that organizational culture in education is constituted by interrelated elements—values, norms, artifacts, and assumptions—which collectively shape institutional behavior, learning environments, and stakeholder interactions. When strategically aligned with institutional goals, these cultural components foster a collaborative climate, enhance teacher motivation and student outcomes, and contribute to conflict resolution and institutional resilience. The study concludes that the cultivation of a coherent and strategically reinforced culture, supported by transformative leadership and inclusive communication, is essential for achieving sustainable educational excellence. The research provides a comprehensive conceptual framework and offers actionable recommendations for educational leaders and policymakers to embed culture as a strategic lever for systemic improvement in dynamic and competitive educational contexts.

Abstract

Quality education requires the support of effective school management, particularly through the principal's managerial competence in managing facilities and infrastructure. Well-planned facilities and infrastructure are believed to create a conducive learning environment that influences the quality of learning. This study aims to explore the role of principals' managerial competence in planning, organizing, and supervising educational facilities and infrastructure in Islamic Elementary Schools (Madrasah Ibtidaiyah) as an effort to improve the quality of education. The method used was a qualitative case study approach at MI Attamam and MI Daarul Ilmi in Tangerang Regency, Banten. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis, then analyzed thematically. The results show that principals play a central role in ensuring the availability, utilization, and maintenance of facilities and infrastructure. Constraints such as budget limitations and school community participation were overcome through collaborative strategies, innovation, and a participatory management system. The novelty of this research lies in mapping the principals' managerial strategies in two madrasas with different conditions, as well as the direct link between infrastructure management and non-academic learning quality indicators. Practically, this research provides an alternative model for infrastructure management that is adaptive and applicable to madrasas. Theoretically, this research enriches the study of Islamic education management by emphasizing the principal's role as an innovator and driver of infrastructure-based educational quality.

Abstract

The rapid changes in the digital era require a reconceptualization of library management, including in Islamic boarding schools. This article examines the definition and strategic role of pesantren library management in a digital context, based on the literature of the last 3-5 years. Through literature studies and qualitative content analysis from Google Scholar, SINTA, and DOAJ, it was found that the role of pesantren libraries has shifted from managing physical collections to facilitating ethical and curated digital knowledge access. The pesantren library has now evolved into a comprehensive digital literacy facilitator, a digital Islamic learning resource center, a curator of Islamic content, a global information network link, a supporter of learning innovation, and a center for the development of students' digital learning communities. This reconceptualization accommodates the unique needs of Islamic boarding schools, such as digitization of yellow books and manuscripts, the development of students' digital skills for study and da'wah, and the strengthening of digital-based traditional learning communities. Despite the challenges of digital divides, human resources, and funding, the opportunities for improving access to information, preserving intellectual heritage, and quality of education are enormous. The implication is the need to improve managers' competence, leadership policy support, and strategic investment to realize a transformative digital pesantren library.

Abstract

To determine the influence of student management and teacher example on the discipline of State MTs students in Pandeglang Regency, researchers used quantitative descriptive explanatory and inference methods. The analysis used is correlation regression. To test the hypothesis, SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) is used which is operated through the SmartPLS 4.0 program. The research results show that Student Management has a positive effect on Student Discipline as evidenced by the parameter coefficient of 0.533. with the T statistical results being greater than the T table (4.873 > 1.96) with a P value of 0.000. Likewise, the Teacher Exemplary variable has a positive effect on Student Discipline with a parameter coefficient of 0.318 with T statistical results greater than the T table (2.125>1.96) with a P value of 0.000. The results of the summary ANOVA F test or simultaneous test obtained a P value for Student Management and Teacher Exemplary which is 0.000, which is less than 0.05, which means that the independent variables, both Student Management and Teacher Exemplary, have a positive and significant effect on the Student Discipline variable simultaneously.

Abstract

Marketing of educational services in the digital era has undergone a fundamental transformation due to shifts in prospective student behavior and increasingly fierce competition. This study aims to comprehensively examine the dynamics of educational services marketing in the digital era, focusing on shifting strategies, the role of social media, and their implications for educational institutions. This research is based on a literature review with a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data were collected through documentation techniques from research articles published since 2023 in accredited scientific journals, which were then analyzed using qualitative content analysis techniques to synthesize the findings. The results show that the unique characteristics of educational services—such as intangibility and variability—demand the adaptation of marketing strategies from traditional to more personalized and data-driven digital models. Marketing is no longer just about promotion but also about building strong relationships with online communities. Social media has proven to be a crucial tool in building a digital brand and reputation through authentic content and proactive interactions. The study concludes that the success of educational institutions in the digital era depends heavily on their ability to holistically integrate digital strategies, manage their online reputation, and prioritize the student experience. Thus, adapting digital marketing is no longer an option but a necessity to ensure the sustainability and relevance of the institution.
