Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) approach in improving students’ critical thinking skills within the context of 21st-century learning. The type of research employed in this study is quantitative research using a quasi-experimental approach with a non-equivalent control group design. The sample in this research consisted of 57 students. Data collection techniques included tests and observations. Data analysis involved normality testing, homogeneity testing, linearity testing, and hypothesis testing. The results of the normality test showed a significance value of 0.189 based on the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test. Since 0.189 > 0.05, it indicates that the data from both groups are normally distributed. The homogeneity test in the Test of Homogeneity of Variances table showed that both the experimental and control class data had a significance value of 0.567 > 0.05, indicating that the data are homogeneous. The linearity test results in the ANOVA table showed a significance value of 0.903 > 0.05, indicating that there is no deviation from a linear relationship between the independent and dependent variables. According the T-Test results, the significance value (sig. 2-tailed) was 0.000 < 0.05, which statistically indicates that the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using the Socio-Scientific Issues (SSI) approach on improving students’ critical thinking skills. This means that a learning approach based on social issues examined through a scientific lens has proven to be effective in fostering the development of students’ critical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Pembelajaran matematika di sekolah dasar masih menghadapi tantangan, terutama pada materi perbandingan yang bersifat abstrak. Di SD GMIT Naioni, 65% siswa kelas V belum mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) pada materi perbandingan karena metode pembelajaran yang kurang kontekstual. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media konkret kantong perbandingan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas V SD GMIT Naioni. Penelitian menggunakan metode quasi-experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 44 siswa yang terbagi menjadi kelompok kontrol (22 siswa) dan kelompok eksperimen (22 siswa). Instrumen penelitian berupa tes objektif 20 butir soal yang telah divalidasi dengan reliabilitas Cronbach's Alpha 0,861. Analisis data menggunakan regresi linear sederhana dengan SPSS versi 26. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kelompok eksperimen dari rata-rata pretest 44,52 menjadi posttest 82,61 (peningkatan 38,09 poin). Uji regresi linear menunjukkan t-hitung 4,660 > t-tabel 1,729 dengan signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,533 menunjukkan media konkret menjelaskan 53,3% variasi hasil belajar. Media konkret kantong perbandingan berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa dan dapat menjadi alternatif efektif dalam pembelajaran materi perbandingan di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media papan pintar perkalian terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas IV SD Inpres Naimata, Kota Kupang. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya pencapaian siswa pada materi perkalian. Penelitian menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes pilihan ganda untuk pretest dan posttest, serta lembar observasi untuk keterlibatan siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan peningkatan skor dari 40 menjadi 85, dengan nilai signifikansi uji Paired Sample t-Test sebesar 0.000 (p < 0.05), dan skor N-Gain sebesar 0,75 yang tergolong tinggi. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media papan pintar efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman matematika siswa melalui bantuan visual konkret dan partisipasi aktif dalam pembelajaran.

Education is a process that aims to optimize individual potential through programmed learning experiences, whether formal, non-formal, or informal, that continue throughout life. The purpose of this study is to identify the factors that influence science literacy skills in IPAS subjects and to determine efforts to overcome low science literacy skills in IPAS subjects. This study employs a qualitative research approach using a descriptive methodology conducted at SDK St. Yoseph 1 Naikoten Kupang, with research subjects including the school principal, classroom teachers, and students. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and document analysis. The research findings indicate that the factors contributing to low science literacy skills in the IPAS subject are internal factors, including: low student interest in learning, low student motivation to learn, low student intellectual ability, and psychological health factors. External factors include: curriculum and education system, low teacher teaching methods and models, limited learning resources and teaching materials, teacher quality and school management, learning environment outside of school, library and school facilities conditions, and limited learning facilities and infrastructure. Given the factors influencing low science literacy as mentioned above, efforts are needed to address this issue, both from within the students (internal) and from external sources such as teachers and school principals. However, in reality, there are no efforts from students, teachers, or school principals to address this issue. Therefore, this study concludes that the low science literacy among students can be influenced by internal and external factors, necessitating efforts to address science literacy in the IPAS subject, including efforts from within (internal) and from outside (external) involving teachers and school principals.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pelatihan ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman praktis kepada para pendidik mengenai cara mengembangkan media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menarik bagi siswa. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dirancang dengan menggunakan metode kombinasi, yaitu presentasi materi untuk memberikan landasan teoretis, serta praktik langsung (workshop) yang memungkinkan peserta mencoba secara mandiri membuat dan mengoperasikan media berbasis aplikasi Educandy. Berdasarkan hasil evaluasi, pelatihan ini terbukti mampu meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan guru dalam memanfaatkan teknologi pembelajaran interaktif. Selain itu, pelatihan ini juga berhasil menumbuhkan motivasi dan antusiasme para guru untuk mengintegrasikan media Educandy ke dalam proses belajar mengajar di kelas, sehingga diharapkan dapat menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih variatif, menyenangkan, dan efektif.

Abstract

Pendidikan di tingkat dasar memerlukan metode yang menarik untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memperkenalkan konsep dasar IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Sosial) tentang tata surya melalui pendekatan teknologi yang interaktif. Metode yang digunakan dalam PKM ini meliputi media pembelajaran digital, tahap persiapan, pelakssanaan, dan tahap evaluasi. Adapun hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat bagi siswa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan teknologi dalam pembelajaran dapat menciptakan suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan efektif. Kesimpulan dari pengabdian ini adalah bahwa penerapan media pembelajaran berbasis assembler studio dapat menjadi solusi inovatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa siswa di sekolah dasar, terutama dalam memahami konsep tentang tata surya.

Abstract

Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan penggunaan media rangkaian seri dan paralel dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar pada siswa kelas V di SDN Fontein 2. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini meliputi pengajaran langsung menggunakan media rangkaian, diskusi, dan evaluasi. Hasil pegabdian menunjukkan peningkatan motivasi belajar siswa yang signifikan terbukti dari peningkatan partisipasi dan antusias siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan media ini berhasil menarik perhatian siswa dan memudahkan pemahaman konsep-konsep IPAS yang diajarkan.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in elementary schools is often considered difficult and less interesting by students, especially in understanding basic concepts such as plane figures. This has an impact on low learning outcomes due to lack of motivation and active participation in the learning process. This study aims to determine the effect of using gimkit learning media on students’ Mathematics learning outcomes in the material “Recognizing plane figures” at SD Naioni. The method used is quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design of the on- group pretest-posttest design type.the subjects of the study were one class that was given treatment in the form of learning using Gimkit Media.The results of the study showed an increase in student learning outcomes after using Gimkit media.This proves that Gimkit can be an effective learning media in helping student learning outcomes after using gimkit media. This proves that Gimkit can be aneffective learning media helping students understand plane figure material in a more enjoyable and meaningful way

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media pembelajaran digital Math Maze terhadap hasil belajar matematika materi pecahan di kelas V SD Kristen Harmony Kupang. Permasalahan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, kurangnya keterlibatan aktif, serta minimnya media interaktif dan inovatif. Math Maze, sebagai game edukatif digital, diharapkan dapat meningkatkan minat, motivasi, dan pemahaman siswa dalam mempelajari materi yang abstrak. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi eksperimen dan desain pretest-posttest control group. Sampel terdiri dari dua kelas: kelompok eksperimen (15 siswa, menggunakan Math Maze) dan kelompok kontrol (15 siswa, metode konvensional). Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes hasil belajar, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data mencakup uji validitas, reliabilitas, normalitas, homogenitas, uji-t, gain score, dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Math Maze memberikan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar. Rata-rata nilai posttest kelompok eksperimen (84,67) lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol (72,40), dengan gain ternormalisasi 0,56 (kategori sedang). Uji-t menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (Sig. = 0,000 < 0,05), serta persepsi siswa turut memengaruhi peningkatan hasil belajar. Kata Kunci : Media Pembelajaran Digital; Math Maze; Hasil Belajar; Matematika; Pecahan   Abstract This study aims to determine the effect of digital learning media Math Maze on mathematics learning outcomes on fraction material in grade V of SD Kristen Harmony Kupang. The main problems in mathematics learning are low student learning outcomes, lack of active involvement, and minimal interactive and innovative media. Math Maze, as a digital educational game, is expected to increase students' interest, motivation, and understanding in learning abstract material. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: the experimental group (15 students, using Math Maze) and the control group (15 students, conventional method). Data collection was carried out through learning outcome tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis included validity, reliability, normality, homogeneity, t-test, gain score, and simple linear regression tests. The results showed that Math Maze had a positive and significant effect on learning outcomes. The average posttest score of the experimental group (84.67) was higher than the control group (72.40), with a normalized gain of 0.56 (moderate category). The t-test showed a significant difference (Sig. = 0.000 < 0.05), and student perceptions also influenced the improvement of learning outcomes.Keywords: Digital Learning Media; Math Maze; Learning Outcomes; Mathematics; Fractions
