Abstract

The use of natural asphalt is an alternative to meet the high demand for oil asphalt. Asbuton is natural asphalt from Buton Island, Indonesia. However, the use of Asbuton is not as easy as oil asphalt because the asphalt it contains is hard. The asphalt-concrete mixture must go through a rejuvenation process for several days before being compacted. This study aims to determine the performance of asphalt-concrete mixture using Asbuton if it is compacted immediately after mixing, without giving time for the rejuvenation process. Compaction is done when the mixture is hot and after the mixture is cold. Compaction of the asphalt-concrete mixture in hot temperature (150ºC), based on mechanical characteristics (stability, flow, and Marshall Quotient), has better performance than that compacted in cold temperature (30ºC). However, compaction in both hot and cold temperatures, based on their volumetric characteristics, does not meet the requirements for use as road pavements. The performance of the asphalt mixture can be improved by giving time in the process of softening the asphalt content in Asbuton

Abstract

Jari-jari dan kemiringan melintang tikungan merupakan faktor penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan lalu lintas bila tidak sesuai dengan standar. Ruas jalan Mataram-Senggigi-Pemenang yang menghubungkan antara kota Mataram menuju Pantai Senggigi dan Gili Trawangan banyak dijumpai tikungan tajam dan tanjakan yang tinggi. Tikungan tajam akan mengurangi jarak pandangan pengemudi dan menimbulkan gaya sentrifugal yang besar. Oleh karena itu lokasi ini perlu dilakukan analisis keselamatan terutama pada daerah tikungan yaitu mengetahui besarnya peluang terjadi kecelakaan dan menentukan kategori resiko kecelakaan  ditinjau dari jari-jari dan kemiringan melintang tikungan dan selanjutnya dijadikan dasar untuk melakukan penanganan. Parameter yang digunakan meliputi jari-jari tikungan dan kemiringan melintang jalan. Besarnya jari-jari tikungan di lapangan diperoleh dari gambar situasi jalan hasil survay topografi, kemiringan melintang jalan diperoleh dari perbedaan elevasi sisi jalan  serta data kecelakaan kecelakaan yang terjadi pada lokasi penelitian.  Analisis data berupa analisis jari-jari tikungan, kemiringan melintang jalan, dampak keparahan korban kecelakaan, defisiensi, peluang kecelakaan, kategori resiko kecelakaan lalu lintas. Hasil penelitian didapatkan  bahwa, tikungan yang berada di sepanjang ruas jalan Mataram-Senggigi-Pemenang sebesar 92,85% memiliki jari-jari tikungan yang berpeluang terjadi kecelakaan antara 10 – 15 kali per tahun. Sebanyak 71,43% tikungan termasuk kategori sangat berbahaya yaitu Batu Layar (STA 6+400), Batu Bolong (STA7+600), Senggigi Sunset (STA 11+100), Puri Permata (STA 12+900), Sebelum Jembatan (STA 15+600), Setelah Jembatan (STA 15+900), Villa Hantu (STA 18+400), Sebelum Malimbu (STA 18+700), Amarsvati (STA 21+500), dan Nipah (STA 24+000). Akibat faktor kemiringan melintang jalan terdapat 14,29% tikungan berpeluang terjadi kecelakaan kurang dari 3 kali per tahun serta hanya tikungan Amarsvati (STA 21+500) termasuk kategori cukup berbahaya dan yang lainnya aman. Beberapa solusi untuk mengurangi peluang dan resiko kecelakaan adalah memperbesar jari-jari tikungan, memasang cermin tikungan, rambu pembatas kecepatan, rambu adanya tikungan tajam, lampu penerangan dan guardrail. Khusus tikungan Setelah Malimbu dan Amarsvati juga perlu menaikkan elevasi jalan dari sisi dalam tikungan sehingga kemiringan melintang dibawah 10 %. Dari 14 tikungan yang ditinjau secara rata-rata memiliki nilai resiko sebesar 305.71 dengan kategori bahaya, dimana perlu penanganan teknis yang terjadwal maksimum 2 bulan sekali sejak hasil audit disetujui.

Abstract

The geopolymer introduced by Davidovits is a new binder for making concrete as an alternative to ordinary Portland cement. One of the materials used to make geopolymers is fly ash. The annual worldwide production of fly ash is estimated to be around 500 Mt. In making geopolymers with fly ash, scientists usually use activators such as silicate and aluminate solutions, as well as with kaolinite. The geopolymerization process is related to the metal oxide ratio of the activator solution. Geopolymers can withstand temperatures up to about 600°C, so they are fire/heat resistant. This paper describes the role of the comparison of dominant elements in a mixture of geopolymer paste with fly ash and alkali which produces the best quality based on compressive strength, where there is an effect of the ratio of alkali on the compressive strength of geopolymer paste. Almost all of the highest compressive strength obtained did not follow the Davidovits rule. This is caused by other factors that affect the compressive strength such as the content of elements such as Si and Al in fly ash and the curing temperature. However, the volumetric and mechanical properties of the artificial aggregate (geopolymer fly ash application) meet the requirements as a road material. It's just that the absorption value is above the requirements (>3%). Seeing the properties of these geopolymers, there is hope to be developed into materials for building materials. Geopolimer yang diperkenalkan oleh Davidovits adalah pengikat baru untuk membuat beton sebagai alternatif pengganti semen Portland biasa. Salah satu bahan yang digunakan untuk membuat geopolimer adalah fly ash. Produksi tahunan fly ash seluruh dunia diperkirakan sekitar 500 Mt. Dalam membuat Geopolimer dari fly ash para ilmuwan biasanya menggunakan aktivator seperti larutan silikat dan aluminat, serta dari kaolinit. Proses geopolimerisasi berkaitan dengan rasio oksida logam dari larutan aktivator. Geopolimer dapat menahan suhu hingga sekitar 600°C, sehingga tahan api/panas. Makalah ini menjelaskan tentang peranan perbandingan unsur-unsur dominan pada campuran pasta geopolimer dengan fly ash dan alkali yang menghasilkan kualitas terbaik berdasarkan kuat tekan, dimana terdapat pengaruh perbandingan alkali terhadap kuat tekan pasta geopolimer. Hampir seluruh kuat tekan tertinggi yang didapatkan tidak mengikuti aturan Davidovits. Hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor lain yang mempengaruhi kuat tekan seperti kandungan unsur-unsur seperti Si dan Al dalam fly ash dan temperatur curing. Namun, properties volumetric dan mekanik agregat buatan (aplikasi geopolymer fly ash) memenuhi persayaratan sebagai bahan jalan. Hanya saja nilai penyerapannya di atas persyaratan (>3%). Melihat sifat-sifat geopolimer tersebut, membuka harapan untuk dikembangkan menjadi material untuk bahan bangunan.

Abstract

Food is the most important basic need to sustain the life of all creatures, including humans. So it is necessary to strive for adequate and equitable fulfillment of needs. In addition to survival, food is very influential in improving the quality of life of the nation. Planting various vegetables for food availability in the household does not have to be supported by a large yard. The yard with a limited area can also be used as land for growing vegetables and fruits. The implementation of these activities sequentially consists of socialization, discussion, direct practice and mentoring. The results achieved from this program are increasing community awareness and skills through activities carried out with the community around Barejulat Village so as to encourage the community to be motivated to optimize the potential of resources in the form of yards owned by the community to increase. Welfare based on technology and local wisdom. At the same time, it teaches the community to understand how important it is to cultivate a passion for farming from an early age so that in the future the sustainable food house program can be continued by future generations.

Abstract

Selama pandemi Covid-19, aktivitas di luar rumah dibatasi. Namun pembatasan ini tidak boleh menghentikan produktivitas masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan pangannya. Terkait hal tersebut, mahasiswa KKN-Unram menawarkan solusi kepada masyarakat dengan memanfaatkan waktu di rumah. Program yang ditawarkan adalah Rumah Pangan Lestari (RPL) yaitu berkebun sayur di pekarangan rumah dengan menggunakan botol bekas, styrofoam, gelas plastik dan alat sederhana. Tujuannya untuk mengedukasi masyarakat agar dapat memanfaatkan ruang kosong di pekarangan rumah untuk dijadikan tempat bercocok tanam sayuran, dengan menggunakan sistem hidroponik. Program ini dilaksanakan dalam dua kegiatan yaitu pembuatan kebun contoh dan sosialisasi kebun sayur pada lahan terbatas. Metode berkebun yang diterapkan adalah metode hidroponik yang ditempatkan di dalam screen house dan dengan media tanah. Kebun contoh digunakan sebagai tempat pelaksanaan materi sosialisasi kepada masyarakat. Sosialisasi menekankan bagaimana menanam sayuran di pekarangan sempit dengan menggunakan botol bekas dan kemasan berbahan styrofoam. Program sesuai rencana, karena keseriusan mahasiswa dan dukungan masyarakat. Mereka tertarik dengan program yang ditawarkan mahasiswa KKN karena menggunakan alat dan bahan yang mudah didapat. Masyarakat sangat antusias datang dan berdiskusi dalam kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan di taman percontohan. Sayuran di kebun percontohan sudah bisa dipanen setelah 40 hari dan hasilnya dibagikan kepada masyarakat sekitar lokasi pelaksanaan program.

Abstract

Panjisari merupakan desa yang terletak di sekitar genangan dan daerah aliran sungai Bendungan Batujai. Di bendungan ini, gulma eceng gondok (Eichhornia crassipes) tumbuh pesat yang berdampak pada pemanfaatan perairan dan pendangkalan waduk. Salah satu upaya untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut adalah dengan memanfaatkan eceng gondok sebagai pupuk. Pupuk organik dari eceng gondok mampu memperbaiki struktur fisik tanah, meningkatkan ketersediaan unsur hara, dan pertumbuhan vegetatif. Tim KKN menjadikan kegiatan pembuatan pupuk ini sebagai program utama mereka. Program ini dilaksanakan dengan memberikan bantuan kepada kelompok masyarakat mulai Desember 2021 hingga Februari 2022 bertempat di rumah produksi. Proses pembuatannya dimulai dengan persiapan alat, pengambilan bahan (eceng gondok, kotoran sapi dan sekam), pencacahan dan pengeringan, pencampuran dan fermentasi, yang terakhir adalah pengemasan pupuk. Tim KKN berhasil membuat pupuk organik dengan bahan utama eceng gondok dan memberikan edukasi cara membuatnya kepada masyarakat. Selain itu, produk pupuk organik eceng gondok dapat dipasarkan secara luas, sehingga menciptakan peluang usaha baru untuk meningkatkan perekonomian masyarakat Panjisari.

Abstract

Aggregates are the main material for road pavement made of natural stone. The availability of this natural stone will decrease because the stone is a non-renewable resource. The use of artificial aggregates can be an alternative to natural aggregates. The promotion of the use of waste as an artificial aggregates is starting to develop, especially with fly ash. Aggregates road materials must be tested to determine their characteristics by methods according to applicable standards. In this study, it can be seen that the aggregates of all quarries can be used as pavement materials, but the aggregates of the KB quarry show a poor flakiness index value. The test results of geopolymer-made aggregates made from fly ash showed that the abrasion and absorption values were not good. However, in general, it has good characteristics as road materials, so further research is needed to obtain geopolymer-made aggregates that meet the abrasion and absorption requirements for use as road materials.

Abstract

Obstacles faced by the Government in carrying out road preservation activities are differences in perceptions of handling priorities from both the Regional Government and the community and budget constraints. The source of the data is the results of observations in the field and data on sub-district roads in Pemenang District, North Lombok Regency. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data to obtain the research objective, namely to analyze priority handling of roads that will be rehabilitated/repaired and/or maintained on a regular basis. Based on the results of data processing using PKRMS, it can be concluded that the priority for handling the road and the recommendations for handling it are the Linker Selatan Pemenang – Tanjung road section which is the first priority with recommendations for handling rehabilitation in the first year and periodically in the third and fifth years. In second place is the Pemenang-Tebango Bolot road section with recommendations for treatment, namely rehabilitation in the first year and periodically in the second year. Furthermore, the Mubasirun-Terengan road section with recommendations for handling rehabilitation in the first year. In fourth place is the Pemenang-Bangsal road section with recommendations for handling rehabilitation in the first year and periodic maintenance in the second and fifth years.

Abstract

Population growth, economy and urbanization are several factors causing the creation of slum areas in urban areas. One indicator of a slum area is the poor quality of the road surface. This condition becomes a negative paradigm towards the implementation of development by the Government. Weak databases lead to not optimal programming and planning processes that lead to not optimal implementation and supervision in the field. This study aims to compile a database for environmental road handling plans in slum settlement areas based on Geographic Information Systems (GIS), so as to provide information on priority scales and patterns of environmental road management in slum settlement areas. The method used is descriptive quantitative by weighting based on 3 parameters, namely: 1) road management program, 2) the number of dwellings/houses that have direct access to the road and, 3) other considerations including strategic location value, population, and condition socioeconomic. This research concludes that the programming and planning process which is carried out subjectively based on conditions and needs in the field can make efficient use of the budget so that it is right on target in the following years. So that it can be used as a recommendation for determining priorities on each environmental road segment and a program for handling patterns of slum area scale in the city of Mataram

Abstract

The importance of handling slum settlements is one of the tasks faced by the Central, Provincial, and Regency Governments to create livable settlements through the Cities Without Slums/ Kota Tanpa Kumuh (KOTAKU) Program. The KOTAKU program is a community-based program, to carry out infrastructure activities such as physical, economic, and social improvement and development. The success of the program needs to be monitored for compliance with what is planned. Because of this, it is necessary to evaluate the implementation of settlement infrastructure provision in the KOTAKU program. The analysis is based on a quantitative approach through literature studies from previous studies. Supporting data was obtained from institutions related to the KOTAKU program in Pancor Village, Selong City, East Lombok Regency. The success of the program is shown by changes in the behavior of people's lives and the quality of the environment so that the handling of slum settlements is achieved
