Abstract

Plastic waste management is the main focus of community service in Tanjung Harapan village, Seputih Banyak sub-district, Central Lampung. Plastic waste is identified as a crucial problem with significant negative impacts on the environment. The aim of this service is to gain an understanding of the concept of plastic waste management, creating a clean environment and providing a positive impact on local residents. Through the 3R concept (Reuse, Reduce and Recycle), this service aims to reduce plastic waste in the village. Using the CBPR (Community Based Participatory Research) method which is a mixed method for researching community aspirations and needs. Participants in this activity were 15 PKK women from Tanjung Harapan village. This activity was held at the Tanjung Harapan Seputih Banyak Village Meeting Hall. The results of this service show that PKK women as activity participants increasingly understand how to manage plastic waste. The conclusion of this activity had a positive impact on PKK women because they were given strengthened insight into how to manage plastic waste.

Abstract

Sugar producers can extend their sugar companies by expanding into non-sugar products. A sugarcane-based company that focuses on product diversification is electricity generation from bagasse. As the principal energy source, the cogeneration system progressively creates two distinct forms of energy (mechanical energy and thermal energy). Krebet Baru 2's sugar factory has a capacity of 5,200 TCD. Under some conditions, it can generate up to 1.5 MW of additional Power. This research aims to investigate the link between capacity and cogeneration efficiency. As a result, extra electricity may be generated forever. According to the data, capacity did not influence cogeneration efficiency. Excess Power may be acquired by optimizing steam usage, assessing inefficient energy sources, and utilizing high-pressure steam production facilities.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of Debt to Equity Ratio, Net Profit Margin and Total Asset Turnover on Profit Growth at PT Bukit Asam Tbk for the 2009-2023 Period. The research method used is a quantitative method using secondary data from the financial profession of PT Bukit Asam Tbk for the 2009-2023 period. In this study, the data analysis used was descriptive statistics, classical asusmsi test, multiple linear regression, hypothesis test (t test and f test) and determination coesphiciency. The results of this study prove that partially (t) Debt to Equity Ratio has no effect on Profit Growth which is shown by the t-value of 1,624 < ttable 2,201 and the significance value of 0,133 > 0.05. Net Profit Margin has a significant effect on Profit Growth which is shown by the t-value of 3,533 > ttable 2,201 and a significance value of 0,005 < 0,05. Total Asset Turnover did not have a significant effect on Profit Growth which was shown by a t-value of -2,065 < ttable 2,201 and a significance value of 0,063 > 0,05. From this study simultaneously (f) shows that Debt to Equity Ratio, Net Profit Margin and Total Asset Turnover together have a significant effect on Profit Growth at PT Bukit Asam Tbk for the 2009-2023 Period which is shown by the value of f-value > ftable (4,337 > 3,59) and strengthened with a significance value of 0,030 < 0,05. The result of the determination coefficient was 41,7%, which means that the dependent variabel can be explained by independent variabels, while the remaining 58,3% is influenced by other factors that were not tested in this study.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology in the modern era triggers new characters in society due to the onslaught of information and communication technology development. This is also close to the influencer generation or Gen Z. One of the new characters is Phubbing, which comes from the words “phone” and “snubbing”, which is meant as the phenomenon of insulting or ignoring someone because they are too focused on the device. Previous studies show that 80.2% of influencers or gen Z have phubbed, and 91.3% admitted to having been phubbed by a phubbee due to excessive device use. One can lose trust, disharmonious interpersonal relationships, and empathy. So, this research aims to look at and study the theory of technological determinism from this point of view. To investigate the phubbing phenomenon, a descriptive qualitative approach was used. In addition, to obtain information about phubbing, the research subject used purposive nonprobability sampling method with 8 participants. The results showed that the presence of new media can cause phubbing to change the communication patterns of the influencer generation or Gen Z. Then, the main component of phubbing is the presence of new media. Then, the main component of phubbing is losing one's control over the use of new media. With most audiences considering phubbing as normal, this leads to a social order system that is plunged by technological determinism. The study of phubbing is reinforced by the theory of technological determinism. Technological advances allow audiences to take direct action. This research hopes to open new insights and perspectives in research and offer solutions for audiences to deal with the phenomenon of phubbing in the digital age.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas guru tidak hanya pada satu aspek saja, akan tetapi mencakup segala aspek yang berkaitan dalam proses pendidikan mulai dari masukan (input), proses dan keluaran (output). Salah satu tolak ukur peningkatan tersebut ada pada perbaikan aspek manajemen yang baik. Apabila manajemen sudah diterapkan dengan baik maka institusi apapun termasuk institusi pendidikan akan mampu menghasilkan kinerja dan hasil karya yang bermutu. Upaya peningkatan kualitas mengajar guru terus dilakukan oleh berbagai pihak dalam rangka mengembangkan sumber daya manusia dan pengembangan watak bangsa. Peningkatan kualiatas mengajar guru merupakan sasaran pembangunan di bidang pendidikan nasional dan SMP Darunnajah 2 Cipining, SMP Darunnajah 2 Cipining ini berada di tengah lingkungan masyarakat yang agamis dan lingkungan Pondok Pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi kasus, di mana penelitian dilakukan langsung melalui Observasi, Wawancara, dan Dokumentasi di lapangan. Dari hasil penelitian yang di peroleh, Peran lembaga penjamin mutu dalam meningkatkan kualitas mengajar guru di SMP Darunnajah 2 Cipining sudah optimal dimulai dari Peran LPM dalam melaksanakan,Pemeriksaan administrasi guru,pengarahan pembuatan soal ujian, mengawasi kedisiplinan guru, membantu kurikulim dalam meningkatkan kualiatas guru. Spervisi guru, IHT, MGMP dan tahil guru mata pelajaran, dan adapun beberapa faktor pendukung dan penghambat lembaga penjamin mutu sebagai berikut: faktor pendukung, kepemimpinan yang komitmen, adanya sumber dana, pasilitas sarana prasarana, diberikan waktu yang luang adapun faktor penghambat, serba komunal Bersama sama, tidak linearnya jenjang Pendidikan yang di ampu LPM, kurangnya SDM.

Abstract

This study investigates how capital structure and profitability influence the value of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. It employs a quantitative approach using numerical data, specifically analyzing the company's financial reports from 2012 to 2021. The findings indicate that capital structure significantly affects the company's value, with a T-test result showing a calculated value of 5.686, which exceeds the t-table value of 1.89458, and a significance level of 0.031 (less than 0.05). Profitability also has a significant impact, with a calculated value of 5.686 surpassing the t-table value of 1.89458 and a significance level of 0.001 (less than 0.05). This suggests that both capital structure and profitability individually affect the company's value. Additionally, when considered together, capital structure and profitability have a combined significant impact on firm value, with a significance level of 0.002 (less than 0.05) and a calculated F-value of 17.413, which is greater than the F-table value of 4.74. This confirms that both factors together significantly influence the company's value

Abstract

Consigngaming and Unbranded_Store are online shops that are engaged in selling electronic goods from entrusted sellers. The operational principle of the two online shops is to mediate sellers and buyers in sales transactions of electronic and informatics products with standard agreements and conditions set by the online shop, one of the dictums of which contains provisions for fines for defaults on the seller's part. This fine is the focus of the study with the problem of how to determine the amount of the fine to the seller who violates the dictum of the Consigngaming and Unbranded_Store sales agreement, the effectiveness of applying fines to reduce the level of default on the part of the seller and review of the samsarah contract on the determination of fines for seller defaults. To meet scientific standards, the authors designed a research procedure with stages, namely a normative sociological research approach, a descriptive analytical research type with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation. The results of his research are that the determination of fines in Consigngaming is based on the percentage of the price of goods set by the seller, and the Unbranded_Store fine value is fixed which is stated in the general provisions of the transaction that the seller must comply with. The fines imposed by these two consignments, although the procedures are different, have been able to reduce the potential for sellers to commit defaults which could harm Consigngamig and Unbranded_Store management in terms of performance and branding as online stores that have credible business qualifications and can significantly reduce the level of seller defaults. Determination and imposition of fines for seller's default on both consignments as a business based on a samsarah contract is in accordance with the concept of ta'widh and the scholars allow the application of the ta'widh which is implemented based on the agreement of the parties in the consigmnet agreement (samsarah) as long as the dictum does not conflict with the provisions syara'.

Abstract

This community service aims to find out decision making and obstacles in operational assignments at J&T Cargo. Decision making is a result or output of a mental or cognitive process that leads to choosing a path of action among several available alternatives, each decision making result in a final choice. This is related to the assignment of position that have been determined by the leader in making a decision, then whether the decision can be carried out effectively according the employee’s abilities and knowledge. The aim of this research is to find out the decision making strategies and obstacles in operational assignments at J&T Cargo. This article was prepared by means of observation and interviews to collect data. The results of this research show that J&T Cargo is effective in making decision to obtain maximum work results in the future.

Abstract

Supercapacitor is a high power density energy storage device which complements the lack of batteries and conventional capacitors. One material which has a great potential in the manufacture of composite supercapacitor is spinel ZnCo2O4/carbon nano tube and abreviated in the later case as ZCO/CNT. Composition variations in ZCO/CNT composites is expected to the performance of supercapacitor especially the dielectric properties and specific capacitance. Inthis study the composite ZCO/CNT was made from raw materials of ZCO nano crystal which was prepared from previous research on which employing sonochemistry technic, carbon nano tube, and 1-methil 2 pyrolidine. A screen printing method was used in this experiment to deposite the composite on silver substrates. The separator in between of two identical composite structures was prepared from isotactic polypropylene. We used KOH 6 M which was implemented as electrolyte of the composites. Characterization of composite structures has been performed using X-RD, while the morphology characterization using SEM. It was found that the dielectric supercapacitor increase by increasing of mass fraction of ZCO in the composite. Thehighest dielectric constant is reached at 1.89 x 106 and the specific capacitance of 81 F/g for 3:1mass ratio of ZCO : CNT at 100 Hz.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang dialami di Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Maghfiroh adalah proses pembelajaran belum efektif karena berjalan dengan metode yang sangat sederhana, yaitu ceramah, modul ajar serta media pembelajaran yang belum tersusun, serta SDM tenaga pendidik terlatih yang masih rendah. Berdasarkan permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra, tim pengabdian UM menawarkan solusi untuk melatih tenaga pendidik melalui pelatihan kompetensi guru dalam pengembangan modul dan media belajar agar proses pembelajaran bisa berjalan secara efektif. Kegiatan pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui tiga tahap, yaitu tahap pertama berupa pemberian materi mengenai penyusunan modul dan media belajar, tahap kedua yaitu proses penyusunan modul ajar dan media belajar online yang disertai dengan pendampingan secara langsung, dan tahap ketiga adalah implementasi terhadap modul ajar dan media belajar yang telah dibuat oleh guru dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran. Hasil yang didapatkan setelah adanya kegiatan ini adalah guru-guru yang terlatih untuk membuat modul ajar dan media belajar yang dapat digunakan saat proses pembelajaran berlangsung
