Public satisfaction is a crucial indicator in assessing the success of public service delivery, particularly in local government agencies that interact directly with the public. This study employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population comprised all 106,877 taxpayers registered with the Regional Revenue Agency of West Tanjung Jabung Regency. The sample size was determined using the Slovin formula with a 10% error tolerance, resulting in a sample size of 100 respondents. Data were collected through a questionnaire structured based on the variable indicators of communication, work facilities, public service quality, and public satisfaction. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS). The results showed that communication and work facilities had a positive and significant effect on public service quality. Furthermore, public service quality had a positive and significant effect on public satisfaction. The test results also demonstrated that public service quality mediated the influence of communication and work facilities on public satisfaction. These findings emphasize the importance of improving effective communication and providing adequate work facilities to enhance the quality of public services and public satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of consumptive behavior on the learning commitment of KIP-Kuliah scholarship recipients. A descriptive qualitative approach was used, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The findings show that consumptive behavior is influenced by discounts, digital advertising, attractive product displays, peer pressure, and low financial literacy. Scholarship funds are often spent on non-academic needs such as clothing, gadgets, and social activities, causing academic needs to be neglected. This condition leads to decreased learning focus, delayed assignments, increased stress, and lower academic motivation. Therefore, consumptive behavior has a negative impact on students’ learning commitment.

Abstract

Guided by Presidential Instruction Number 3 of 2003 concerning National Policies and Strategies for E-Government Development, in 2018 the Jombang Regency Inspectorate launched the Supervisory Results System (SRS) application. SRS is an information technology-based system designed to facilitate the integrated recording, reporting, and monitoring of follow-up monitoring results, so as to speed up the data-based decision-making process that is more accurate and transparent. This application is used to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of supervision of various aspects of operations, compliance, and internal control. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the implementation of SRS applications in optimizing supervision at the Jombang Regency Inspectorate and identify the factors that cause the ineffective implementation of SRS and describe the efforts that have been made to overcome it. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, observations, and documentation studies related to the implementation of SRS. The resource persons from this study are auditors and PPUPD. The results show that the use of SRS applications has had a positive impact on increasing transparency, accuracy, and speed of reporting supervision results. The SRS application is designed as a tool to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the supervision process on the performance of local governments. The factors that cause the ineffective implementation of SRS are the limitation of human resources in mastering technology, managers are only good in terms of operations, while in terms of software development, obstacles in handling/security of cyber attacks, network management still cannot be done independently. The SRS application is still intranet-based so auditees cannot access anywhere and anytime. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the capacity of human resources by conducting digital training and strengthening infrastructure to support the implementation of applications more effectively. This research is expected to provide recommendations for the Jombang Regency Inspectorate in optimizing the use of SRS applications to improve the quality of supervision.

Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Department of Education Science, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Supervisor Dhevy Puswiartika. This study aims to determine the effect of body shaming on self-confidence in female students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program. Body shaming is the behavior of making negative comments related to a person's physical condition that can affect psychological conditions, including self-confidence. Self-confidence is one of the important aspects in student's psychological development because it affects the individual's ability to assess and accept themselves positively. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of causal associative research. The sample in this study amounted to 81 female students who were selected using the purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a psychological scale in the form of a questionnaire. The data obtained was then analyzed using a simple linear regression technique. The results of the analysis showed a regression equation Y = 48.060 + (−0.110) X with a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These results show that body shaming has a negative and significant effect on self-confidence. A determination coefficient value (R Square) of 0.541 indicates that body shaming contributes 54.1% to self-confidence, while the remaining 45.9% is influenced by other factors outside of this study. Based on the results of the study, it was found that body shaming has an effect on students' self-confidence. The higher the body shaming experience that students receive, the lower the level of confidencethey have.

Abstract

Abstract

New students often face complex academic and social adaptation challenges, which require academic resilience to survive and succeed. This study aims to determine the relationship between self-esteem and academic resilience in new students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University. Data collection was conducted using a Likert scale for self-esteem and an academic resilience scale on 338 new students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Tadulako University, as a sample, which was then analyzed using Spearman's bivariate correlation test with the assistance of SPSS version 27. The results of the study show that the null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, which means that there is a significant positive relationship between self-esteem and academic resilience in new students. These findings indicate that the higher the self-esteem of students, the higher their academic resilience in facing challenges in college. These results are expected to be the basis for the development of intervention programs to improve the adaptability of new students in a college environment
