Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of Career Development, Work Environment, and Ethical Leadership on Employee Loyalty, with Job Satisfaction as a mediating variable among private school teachers. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 127 private school teachers and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS. The validity and reliability tests indicated that all constructs met the required criteria, except for one indicator of the Work Environment variable, which was excluded from the model. The results show that Career Development and Ethical Leadership have a positive and significant effect on Job Satisfaction, while Work Environment does not significantly affect Job Satisfaction. Furthermore, Work Environment and Job Satisfaction have a positive and significant effect on Employee Loyalty, whereas Career Development and Ethical Leadership do not have a direct effect on Employee Loyalty. Job Satisfaction is proven to mediate the effects of Career Development and Ethical Leadership on Employee Loyalty, but it does not mediate the effect of Work Environment on Employee Loyalty. In conclusion, Job Satisfaction plays a critical role in strengthening teacher loyalty and linking Employee Value Proposition dimensions to Employee Loyalty.

Abstract

Rapid developments in the financing industry sector in Indonesia have created a dynamic and challenging business competition. Sustainable business growth is one crucial achievement that is a point of competition between finance companies. Therefore, the optimal job performance of each employee is a significant factor. Previous studies has shown a connection between job performance with variables such as POS, transformational leadership, and work engagement in other industrial sectors. This study was aimed at analysing the influence of said variables among finance company employees in Central Jakarta and South Jakarta. The research was conducted in quantitative methods with primary data collection using questionnaires. The sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique, with a total of 250 respondents who are employees of finance companies in selected areas. Data analysis used the Structural Equation Model (SEM) with AMOS version 22 software and the Sobel Test to calculate the effects of each variable and its connection. This research results show that POS and transformational leadership have a positive influence on the job performance of finance company employees in Indonesia. It was also revealed that work engagement does have a mediating role in the relationship between the previous variables and job performance. In this context, the study indicates that factors from within and outside employees, such as POS and transformational leadership, play a role in improving their job performance by also increasing work engagement.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation and work/family conflict that is allegedly mediated by job satisfaction on employee retention. The data used in this study is data obtained from a questionnaire survey distributed in several type-A hospitals in DKI Jakarta. The smartPLS software is used to analyze the data. The research uses surveys obtained from structured questionnaires. The research was carried out cross-sectionally and data were taken from the staff of type A hospitals in Jakarta. The limitations of this study/implications of this study are that this study contributes to the theory by specifically analyzing the relationship between compensation and work/family conflict in a complex health service environment, one of the limitations of this study is the adoption of cross-sectional design; Future studies can be improved by using a variety of power gathering sources. The practical implication of this study is that this study highlights the magnitude of the influence of compensation and work/family conflict that is allegedly mediated by job satisfaction on employee retention. It can be concluded that compensation has a positive effect on job satisfaction, and work-family (W/F) conflict hurts job satisfaction, both of which have been proven to be true. In addition, W/F conflict has also been proven to have a negative influence on employee retention.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of career identity, career success, and social support on turnover intention, with work engagement serving as a mediating variable among PT employees. Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk in Jakarta. The study aims to analyze the direct and indirect relationships among these variables and to examine the mediating role of work engagement in reducing employees’ intention to leave the organization. The population consisted of all employees working at the head office, branch offices, and regional offices in Jakarta. Using stratified proportional sampling, 277 respondents were selected. The findings reveal that career identity, career success, and social support significantly enhance work engagement. In addition, work engagement has a significant negative effect on turnover intention and partially mediates the relationship between the independent variables and turnover intention. Theoretically, this study enriches the literature on turnover intention by integrating career-related and social contextual factors within a mediation framework. The study is limited to a single organization and geographic area. Future research should involve multiple organizations, diverse sectors, and longitudinal approaches to improve generalizability and causal inference.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of job stress and workplace bullying on turnover intention, with job burnout as a mediating variable, among employees of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk in the Jakarta area. The research employed a quantitative method through a survey by distributing questionnaires to 340 employees, while hypothesis testing was conducted using the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) method. The findings indicate that job stress has no positive effect on turnover intention or job burnout, whereas workplace bullying has a positive effect on both. Furthermore, job burnout was found to have a positive effect on turnover intention. It does not mediate the relationship between job stress and turnover intention but serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between workplace bullying and turnover intention. From a managerial perspective, the results highlight the importance of creating a healthy work environment by managing workloads in line with employees’ capacity, providing training to enhance competencies, and strengthening social support from supervisors and colleagues.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and rapid technological advancements, the technology industry has become one of the most dynamic and competitive sectors. Employee performance in this industry plays a crucial role in determining the success and competitiveness of companies. Optimal employee performance not only contributes to the company's productivity but also drives innovation, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This study aims to examine the factors influencing employee performance through the mediation of employee engagement in the Indonesian technology industry, specifically companies engaged in insurance and crowdfunding. The research employs a quantitative approach with survey methods, gathering data from 241 employees from two major technology companies in Indonesia. The variables studied include Perceived Organizational Support (POS), trust and respect, organizational commitment, and organizational culture. The results indicate that Perceived Organizational Support, trust and respect, organizational commitment, and organizational culture significantly influence employee engagement, which in turn positively impacts employee performance. Data obtained were analysed using SmartPLS application to test causal relationships among the research variables. The findings underscore the importance of fostering a supportive, respectful, and committed organizational environment to enhance employee engagement and performance. This research makes a significant contribution to human resource management literature by demonstrating that employee engagement plays a crucial mediating role in the relationship between organizational determinants and employee performance.
