Abstract

Penelitaian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tindak tutur direktif dan ekspresif yang terdapat dalam pidato politik Megawati di acara perayaan HUT (Hari Ulang Tahun) ke-50 PDI (Partai Demokrasi Indonesia) perjuangan. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik simak dan catat dengan menggunakan data kualitatif, yaitu data yang terkumpul berupa kata maupun kalimat dalam pidato politik Megawati di acara perayaan HUT ke-50 PDI perjuangan. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini, yaitu pidato politik Megawati dalam acara perayaan HUT ke-50 PDI perjuangan yang diunggah pada channel youtube KOMPASTV. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa dalam pidato politik Megawati di acara Perayaan HUT ke-50 PDI perjuangan ditemukan tiga jenis bentuk tindak tutur direktif, yakni pertanyaan, perintah, dan nasihat. Pada bentuk pertanyaan terdapat empat data yang ditemukan, bentuk perintah tiga data ditemukan, dan bentuk nasihat satu data ditemukan. Kemudian, ditemukan pula tiga jenis bentuk tindak tutur ekspresif, yakni sedih, kesal, dan syukur. Pada bentuk sedih terdapat dua data, bentuk kesal terdapat tiga data, dan bentuk syukur terdapat dua data yang ditemukan.

Abstract

This article aims to describe the types of directive speech acts delivered by President Prabowo Subianto in his first speech via the Youtube channel. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman data model technique, namely, data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study found the types of directive speech acts, First, request speech acts with a total of 12 utterances with a percentage of 40%. Second, question speech acts with a total of 4 utterances with a percentage of 13.33%. Third, requirement speech acts with a total of 2 utterances with a percentage of 6.66%. Fourth, prohibition speech acts with a total of 4 utterances with a percentage of 13.33%. Fifth, permission speech acts with a total of 0 utterances with a percentage of 0%. Sixth, advice speech acts with a total of 8 utterances with a percentage of 26.66%. Keywords: directive speech acts, speech, youtube ABSTRAK Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan jenis tindak tutur direktif yang disampaikan oleh Presiden Prabowo Subianto dalam pidato perdananya melalui kanal Youtube. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif bersifat deskriptif. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik data model Miles dan Huberman yakni, pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ditemukan jenis tindak tutur direktif, Pertama, tindak tutur permintaan dengan jumlah tuturan 12 tuturan dengan persentase 40%. Kedua, tindak tutur pertanyaan dengan jumlah 4 tuturan dengan persentase 13,33%. Ketiga, tindak tutur persyaratan dengan jumlah 2 tuturan dengan persentase 6,66%. Keempat, tindak tutur larangan dengan jumlah 4 tuturan dengan persentase 13,33%. Kelima, tindak tutur pengizinan dengan jumlah 0 tuturan dengan persentase 0%. Keenam, tindak tutur nasihat dengan jumlah 8 tuturan dengan persentase 26,66%. Kata kunci: tindak tutur direktif, pidato, youtube

Abstract

This article is to discribe the types of directive speech acts in Ustadz Abdul Somad's lecture with the theme "Menciptakan Generasi Emas" uploaded on YouTube. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data in the form of lecture transcripts containing directive speech acts, such as commands, advice, prohibitions, requests, questions, and agreements. The results of the study show that this lecture contains all six forms of directive speech acts, with commands (8 sentences), advice (5 sentences), prohibitions (2 sentences), requests (4 sentences), questions (5 sentences), and agreements (1 sentence). The speaker uses a persuasive and polite language style to convey moral and religious messages, creating effective interactions with the audience. This study highlights the importance of directive speech acts in building collective awareness and encouraging actions that are in accordance with religious values, especially in the context of digital preaching through the YouTube platform. Keywords: directive speech acts; lectures; YouTube ABSTRAK Artikel ini akan mendeskripsikan jenis-jenis tindak tutur direktif dalam ceramah Ustadz Abdul Somad bertema "Menciptakan Generasi Emas" yang diunggah di YouTube. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, dengan data berupa transkrip ceramah yang mengandung tindak tutur direktif, seperti perintah, nasihat, larangan, permintaan, pertanyaan, dan persetujuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ceramah ini mengandung keenam bentuk tindak tutur direktif, dengan perintah (8 kalimat), nasihat (5 kalimat), larangan (2 kalimat), permintaan (4 kalimat), pertanyaan (5 kalimat), dan menyetujui (1 kalimat). Penutur menggunakan gaya bahasa persuasif dan santun untuk menyampaikan pesan moral dan religius, menciptakan interaksi yang efektif dengan audiens. Penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya tindak tutur direktif dalam membangun kesadaran kolektif dan mendorong tindakan yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai agama, khususnya dalam konteks dakwah digital melalui platform ini YouTube. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks tanggapan karya siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 7 Padang tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data berupa 27 teks tanggapan siswa yang dikumpulkan melalui studi dokumenter. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa banyak siswa telah menulis teks tanggapan dengan struktur lengkap, meliputi evaluasi, deskripsi, dan penegasan ulang, serta menerapkan kaidah kebahasaan seperti kata evaluatif, kalimat kompleks, dan konjungsi kausalitas dengan cukup baik, meskipun masih terdapat beberapa kekeliruan dalam penerapannya. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bahan evaluasi bagi guru dalam mengembangkan strategi pembelajaran menulis yang lebih efektif sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the news writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 15 Padang before and after using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media, and to analyze the effect of implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media on students' news writing skills. This study employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental approach. The research design used a one-group pretest and posttest design, consisting of one sample class. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The data obtained were news writing skill scores, which were then converted into grades. The results showed that the news writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMPN 15 Padang after implementing the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media improved compared to before the treatment. The average score before the implementation of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media was 52.15, qualifying as Almost Sufficient (HC), while the average score after the treatment increased to 83.40, qualifying as Good (B). Based on the results of the statistical test, the calculated t value > t table (15.86 > 1.70) was obtained at a significance level of 0.05 with a 95% confidence level. Thus, it can be concluded that the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model assisted by audiovisual media has a significant effect on students' news text writing skills.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of students’ skills in writing news texts, particularly in organizing text structure, developing the 5W+1H elements, applying language rules, and using correct Indonesian spelling (EYD). The objectives of this study were to describe the news text writing skills of seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pariangan without using the Group Investigation cooperative learning model, to describe the students’ news text writing skills using the model, and to analyze the effect of the model on students’ news text writing skills. This research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method using a control-only group posttest design. The population consisted of all seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Pariangan in the 2025/2026 academic year totaling 51 students. The samples were selected using purposive sampling, consisting of 25 students in the control class and 26 students in the experimental class. Data were collected through a performance test on writing news texts based on four indicators: news text structure, elements of news text, language rules, and spelling (EYD). Data were analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and a t-test. The results showed that the average score of students’ news text writing skills without using the Group Investigation model was 69.5 (fair category), while the average score using the model was 75.96 (good category). The hypothesis testing showed that t count ”‹ >t table ”‹ (2.46 > 2.01). Therefore, it can be concluded that the Group Investigation cooperative learning model has a significant effect on the news text writing skills of seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Pariangan

Abstract

Reading comprehension skills play an important role in supporting students’ ability to write descriptive texts because writing activities require mastery of information, vocabulary, structure, and language accuracy. This study aims to describe descriptive text reading comprehension skills, describe descriptive text writing skills, and analyze the contribution of reading comprehension skills to descriptive text writing skills among seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 47 Padang. This study used a quantitative approach with a descriptive method and correlational design. The study population consisted of 202 seventh-grade students in the 2024/2025 academic year, while the sample consisted of 42 students selected through proportional random sampling. Data were collected through an objective test to measure reading comprehension skills and a performance test to measure descriptive text writing skills. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, product-moment correlation, and the coefficient of determination. The results showed that reading comprehension skills were in the Good qualification category with an average score of 77.24, whereas descriptive text writing skills were in the More Than Adequate qualification category with an average score of 68.27. Reading comprehension skills contributed 58.22% to descriptive text writing skills. Thus, strengthening reading comprehension skills is an important aspect of descriptive text writing instruction because it contributes to improving students’ ability to understand, organize, and express information in writing.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and measure the extent to which reading comprehension skills and learning motivation contribute to news writing skills. This study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The study population consisted of 136 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 30 Batang Hari, Jambi Province. A sample of 82 respondents was selected using proportionate random sampling. The data collection instruments consisted of an objective test to measure reading comprehension, a Likert scale questionnaire for learning motivation, and a performance test to assess news text writing skills. The data were statistically analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test, partial and multiple linear regression, the t-test, and the F-test. The results of the analysis confirmed the following three points. First, reading comprehension skills significantly contribute to news text writing skills by 56.10%. Second, learning motivation contributes significantly by 40.45%. Third, reading comprehension skills and learning motivation simultaneously contribute 56.25% to news text writing skills. Based on these research results, it is concluded that mastery of text comprehension and the level of learning motivation are key predictors of the quality of students’ news articles. Improving students’ ability to produce functional texts requires schools to integrate analytical reading exercises with the cultivation of a supportive learning environment in the classroom.
