Abstract

ABSTRACT There are three aims of this study. First, describe the skills of reading comprehention to the news of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Padang. Second, describe the writing text skills of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Padang. Third, describe the correlation of reading comprehention to the news with the writing text skills of VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 7 Padang. The  type of this research is quantitative in terms of descriptive methods. The design used in this study is correlational design. The population of this study was the eighth grade students of the SMP Negeri 7 Padang which was registered in the 2018/2019 school year, it was 254 students. The sample in this study was determined by proportional random sampling of 15% of the population, namely 40 students. The research data is in the form of scores on the skills test results of reading comprehention to the news and scores on the results of the test writing news text skills. The instrument of this study is an objective test to measure news reading comprehention skills and performance tests to measure news text writing skills. The results of this study are three. First, the skills to write news texts of  VIII grade students of the SMP Negeri 7 Padang is in accordance with the Good qualifications (B) with an averange value 81,25. Second, the skill of reading comprehention to the news text of VIII grade students of the SMP Negeri 7 Padang in accordance with Good qualifications (B) with an averange value 81,37. Third, there is a significant correlation betwen reading comprehention skills and news text writing skills of VIII grade students of the SMP Negeri 7 Padang on n-1 freedom degrees and 95% significant level. H0 is reject and H1is accepted because the tcount is greater than ttable (4,49>2,68).             Kata Kunci: korelasi, keterampilan membaca pemahaman, keterampilan menul   teks berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is a qualitative descriptive study aimed (1) to describe the planning problem based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (2) describe the application of problem-based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (3) describe the describe evaluating problem based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh; (4) describe students opinions of problem-based learning model in learning to write text poetry class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. Subjects in this study were teachers in class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. The methods used to collect the data in this study is the method of documentation, observation and interview methods. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive methods. The results of this study are (1) planning problem based learning model created by teachers such as lesson plans matching with curriculum in 2013; (2) the application of problem-based learning model that teachers are in accordance with the syntax of problem-based learning model; (3) evaluating problem-based learning made by the teacher is in accordance with scientific assessment; (4) positive response of students towards problem-based learning in learning to write poetry texts of class VIII SMP Negeri 4 Sungai Penuh. Kata kunci : model pembelajaran berbasis masalah, puisi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this study three. First, describe the type of speech act Indonesia language teacher declaration during the teaching and learning process at Ekasakti Padang high school. The second, describes the realization of the principle of politeness in speech acts of  the declaration  of indonesian teachers in the Ekasakti Padang high school. The third, describes the context of the specch acts used by the teacher during the teaching and learning process in Ekasakti Padang high school. Based on the result of the study there are three types of declarations speech act,  namely deciding, prohibiting, and permitting. of  the three types that are most often used by teachers in learning are speech acts decide. Then there are five courtesy principles that the teacher uses during learning, namely the maxim of wisdom, the maxim of generosity, the maxim of praise, the maxim of agreement, and the maxim of conclusions. Of the four maxims which are the most dominant used by the teacher there is a maximal agreement. Abstract

ABSTRACT There are three objectives of this research. First, to describe the skills of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. Second, to describe the skills of descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. Third, to describe the relationship between the skills of reading comprehension and descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang. The type of this research is quantitative whereas the method applied is correlational. The population of this research is students of grade VII registered in the 2017/2018 academic year with a total amount of 249 students spread over eight classes. The number of sample of this research is 40 students (15% of total population of students in each class). The sampling technique applied in the research is the proportional-random sampling. The variable of the research is the skill in reading comprehension as independent variable and the skill of descriptive text writing as bound variable. The instrument used in the research is the objective tests comprised of reading comprehension test and working test i.e. descriptive-text writing test. The data of the research is the scores of the objective tests. The gathered data was analyzed based on the indicators to obtain students' scores and points. Data analysis requirement test is the normality and homogenity test. The following are the two results of the research. First, the skill of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang is at a good qualification with an average score of 83.30. Second, the skill of descriptive text writing among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang is at a good qualification with a score of 81.93. The result of research indicates that the skill of reading comprehension among students of grade VII at SMPN 7 Padang has significant relations to the skill of descriptive text writing. Hence, the skill of descriptive text writing requires the skill of reading comprehension.          Kata kunci: membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to describe three things. First, understanding the traditional poetry seventh grade students of SMP N 34 Padang. Secondly, the writing skills traditional poetry seventh grade students of SMP N 34 Padang. Third, the relationship of understanding the traditional poetry with writing skills traditional poetry seventh grade students of SMP N 34 Padang. This type of research is quantitative, descriptive method and design of the study is correlational. The population was seventh grade students of SMP N 34 Padang,  223 students and the sample are 42 students. Sampling using proportional random sampling technique. Based on the results of research and data analysis, it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between the understanding the traditional poetry with writing skills traditional poetry seventh grade students of SMP N 34 Padang on n-1 degrees of freedom and the significant level of 95%, tcalculate greater than ttable ie 2,60 > 1,68. In other words, if the students' understanding the traditional poetry of good, writing skills traditional poetry students are also good. Conversely, if the students' understanding the traditional poetry of bad, writing skills traditional poetry seventh grade students of SMP N 34 Padang too bad. Kata kunci: korelasi, memahami pantun, keterampilan memproduksi pantun

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the form of speech act directive, story strategy, politeness, and student's response in teaching and learning process in Ix class of SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Angkek. The type of this research is qualitative descriptive This research was conducted in class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Angkek. Subjects in this study were Indonesian language teachers SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Angkek, Mrs. Desni Yurza and students of class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Angkek. Instruments in this research is the researcher himself. The data that have been collected is analyzed by classifying the data of speech acts directive, srtategi speak, politeness, and student response in teaching and learning process. Based on the research result, it is concluded four things. First, the speech act of the Indonesian language teacher directive in class IX SMP 2 Ampek Angkek can be said is good. Second, the strategy of speaking Indonesian teachers in class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Angkek still needs to be improved. Third, the principle of language-related politeness in the class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Angkek needs to be improved. Fourth, the response of students in class IX SMP Negeri 2 Ampek Angkek to the speech acts of teachers has not happened a good response. Kata kunci: direktif, strategi, kesantunan, respon siswa.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to illustrate the effect of using model Copy The Master techniques on the writing skills of biography text in class X of MAN 1 Padang. This research used quantitative method which usedone group pretest and posttest design. The population of this research in class X MAN 1 Padang. There was 239 population but there was only one class to be the sampel. It was class X IPS 1 which consisted of 32 students that choosen by using purposive sampling technique. Research data is the result of the score in the skill of writing biography text before and after using Copy The Master technique. This study has three result. First, the skill to write biography text in class X MAN 1 Padang before using the Copy The Master technique with an average score of 67,84. Second, the skill of writing biography text of the students of class X MAN 1 Padang aftel using the model imitation technique with an average score of 77,21. Third, based on the t-test at the level of 0.95 obtained tcount >ttabel (3,99 > 1,70). So, it can be said that H1 is accepted. This means that there can be a significant influence on the use of Copy The Master techniques on the writing skills of biography text in class X MAN 1 Padang. Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik  Copy The Master, keterampilan  menuli, teks Biografi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, it describes the skills of reading comprehension text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. Second, the governing text news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. Third, to analyze the correlation between the skills of reading comprehension texts with news writing skills text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18. Type of this research is a descriptive method quantitative research. The research design used was the korelasional relationship of two variables. The population of this research grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang 18 listed on the 2018/2019 school year with a total of 168 students scattered in five classes. The sample in this study amounted to 40 people. Sample taken using a simple random technique with a precision of 15% using simple random sampling. Research instrument this is a test performance, namely, test write text news and objective tests the skills of reading comprehension text news. Based on the data analysis and discussion, obtained three of the following. First, the skills of reading comprehension text news grade VIII SMP Negeri Padang is at 18 qualifying well. It is inferred based on the average count of 82.56. Secondly, the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII SMP Negeri 18 are on good qualification. This can be seen from the average earnings to calculate a test write text news of 79.17. Third, there is a significant relationship between the relationship skills reading comprehension texts with news writing skills text news have a relationship on a significant level 95% with dk = n-1. Based on test-t accepted hypothesis, because thitung > t table i.e. 2,509 > 1.68. Kata kunci: Membaca Pemahaman, Teks Berita
