Abstract

This study aims to analyze the fulfillment of spousal financial support by prisoners toward their families in Class II A Bulukumba Correctional Institution from the perspective of Islamic law. This research is classified as qualitative in the form of a field study by applying an empirical approach. The data sources are interviews and documentation of prisoners and prison employees. The results of this research indicate that 1) efforts to fulfill the material needs of husbands as prisoners for their families in the Class II A Bulukumba Penitentiary are working in the prison, collaborating with families and utilizing savings. 2) the prison's strategy in helping prisoners in fulfilling their material needs is the existence of an independence development program such as carpentry activities, vehicle washing, plantations, wages from work will be given to prisoners. 3) The view of Islamic law regarding the fulfillment of the husband's livelihood who is a prisoner towards the family, in the Qur'an and the majority of scholars that the livelihood must still be given to the wife adjusted to the husband's ability because of the husband's limitations in fulfilling his obligations, most importantly the husband has tried to provide a living even though it is relatively small. The implications of this study are: 1) the prison should develop an independence development program that focuses on work skills that have high economic value. 2) maintaining cooperation between agencies, both government and private agencies and job training institutions. 3) the importance of a wife to reduce dependence on her husband, so that she can face unexpected situations, such as legal problems that befall her husband without feeling burdened.

Abstract

This article aims to analyze the implementation of the salam contract in the practice of buying and selling cemetery land in Donggala Village, Kolaka Regency, from an Islamic legal perspective. The focus of this research includes the practice of the salam contract in the sale and purchase of cemetery land, the community's response to the payment system, and its compliance with the provisions of the salam contract in Islamic law. This article uses a qualitative method with a normative sharia and phenomenological approach. Data sources were obtained from adama figures, community leaders, village governments, landowners, and the local community. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The article shows that: (1) The practice of salam contracts in the sale and purchase of burial plots in Donggal Village is carried out with an upfront payment system, but is not accompanied by clarity of location, land boundaries, and written documentation, (2) The public response to this payment system tends to be positive because it provides certainty and peace of mind for families in preparing burial plots, (3) The implementation of salam contracts in these transactions does not fully fulfill the pillars and requirements of salam contracts in Islamic law, especially regarding the clarity of the object of the contract, certainty of the time of use, and recording of the agreement, so that it still has the potential to contain elements of gharar. The implications of this research indicate the need for restructuring the payment system and management of burial plots to align with the principles of justice and welfare in Islamic law. In addition, guidelines for sharia-based burial management are needed as well as socialization regarding contracts and the importance of documenting agreements to protect community rights and prevent future conflicts.

Abstract

Abstract. Community service activities were carried out in Tikonu Village, Wundulako Subdistrict, Kolaka Regency, with the target partner being the Aisyiyah women's group. The partnership program aimed to empower the Aisyiyah women's group to be able to process palm sap into value-added products such as palm sugar, natade coco, and palm vinegar with hygienic standards. The approach used was participatory and appropriate technology transfer, involving universities as facilitators and community partners as the main implementers. The main activities included: Technical training on processing palm sap into various healthy and durable processed products; Introduction of simple technologies such as bottle sterilization and hygienic filtration equipment; Business management assistance, including financial record keeping, packaging, and product labeling; Digital marketing training using social media and online platforms to expand market reach; and Monitoring and evaluation of business sustainability through the formation of group action teams. The results of these activities show a significant improvement in the technical and managerial skills of 70% of the partners. The social impact that has emerged is an increase in women's participation in village economic activities, increased social solidarity within the group, and a growing awareness of the importance of productive and sustainable use of local resources. Abstrak. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat dilaksanakan di Desa Tikonu, Kecamatan Wundulako, Kabupaten Kolaka, dengan mitra sasaran kelompok ibu-ibu Aisyiyah. Program kemitraan bertujuan untuk memberdayakan kelompok ibu-ibu Aisyiyah agar mampu mengolah nira menjadi produk bernilai tambah seperti gula semut, natade coco, dan cuka nira dengan standar higienis. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah partisipatif dan transfer teknologi tepat guna, dengan melibatkan perguruan tinggi sebagai fasilitator dan mitra masyarakat sebagai pelaksana utama. Kegiatan utama meliputi: Pelatihan teknis pengolahan nira menjadi berbagai produk olahan sehat dan tahan lama; Pengenalan teknologi sederhana seperti alat steril botol dan penyaringan higienis; Pendampingan manajemen usaha, termasuk pencatatan keuangan, pengemasan, dan pemberian label produk; Pelatihan pemasaran digital menggunakan media sosial dan platform daring untuk memperluas jangkauan pasar; serta Monitoring dan evaluasi keberlanjutan usaha melalui pembentukan tim penggerak kelompok. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada keterampilan teknis dan manajerial mitra 70%. Dampak sosial yang muncul meningkatnya partisipasi perempuan dalam kegiatan ekonomi desa, meningkatnya solidaritas sosial kelompok, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran terhadap pentingnya pemanfaatan sumber daya lokal secara produktif dan berkelanjutan.
