Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of internship, self-efficacy, and work motivation on the work readiness of generation Z students at the Faculty of Engineering, Malikussaleh University. The data used in this study are primary data obtained by distributing questionnaires to 100 respondents. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using the Statistical Program for Product and Service Solution (SPSS) version 29 software. All variables are measured using a Likert scale. The results of the study indicate that there is a positive and significant influence between internship, self-efficacy, and work motivation on the work readiness of generation Z students at the Faculty of Engineering, Malikussaleh University. This study shows that internship, self-efficacy, and work motivation partially affect the work readiness of generation Z students at the Faculty of Engineering, Malikussaleh University.

Abstract

Argumentation skills and positive attitudes toward physics are important aspects of 21st-century learning, but are still relatively low among Indonesian students. This study aims to improve these two aspects through the application of the Argument Driven Inquiry (ADI) learning model integrated with Islamic science. This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles on grade XI students of MAN 1 Pekanbaru with harmonic vibration material. The instruments used included attitude questionnaires, argumentation questions, observation sheets, and learning tools. Data were collected through observation and tests. The results showed a significant increase in teacher and student activities, attitudes toward physics, and students' argumentation skills. Learning activities developed from the Good to Very Good category. Attitudes toward physics increased from low to high and very high categories. Argumentation skills, which were initially classified as underdeveloped, became good to very good. These findings indicate that the ADI model integrated with Islamic science is effective in increasing student engagement and the quality of physics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the preaching rhetoric used by the Instagram account @gusmiftah in spreading the values ​​of religious moderation. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and content analysis, this study examines three video uploads of Gus Miftah's preaching and audience responses. The results show that Gus Miftah effectively applies three elements of Aristotle's rhetoric: ethos (credibility as a cleric), pathos (emotional power through persuasive language), and logos (logical argumentation supported by Quranic verses) to convey messages of religious moderation such as tolerance, unity, and anti-extremism. Despite some criticism, the majority of audience responses are positive, demonstrating the effectiveness of his digital preaching strategy. This study concludes that Aristotle's rhetoric is still relevant in the context of digital preaching and can serve as a model for preachers in spreading moderate Islam on social media.

Abstract

Good signal quality is characterized by the small amount of propagation path loss or path loss that occurs. These propagation path losses can be caused by the distance between the site and the receiver (mobile station), transmitter frequency, natural conditions, and weather conditions. The farther between the site and the receiver (mobile station), the greater the propagation path loss. The use of propagation models in planning a site development in an area can predict or consider the value of propagation path losses, such as the Okumura-Hatta and COST-231 propagation models. Measurement of signal quality received by the receiver (mobile station) in the making of this final project using the drive test method. Determination of site coordinates in the measurement makes it easier to calculate the distance between the site and the mobile station. The calculation of the Okumura-Hatta propagation model and the COST-231 propagation model will produce a better-received power level value compared to the received power level value in the measurement. This is because the calculation only considers the distance between the site and the receiver (mobile station) without any obstacles or barriers, while the value generated during measurement will be influenced by distance, obstacles or barriers, earth contours, and weather conditions. One of them is Lubuk Minturun Village where the measurement of propagation path loss (Pathloss) is carried out due to the poor quality of the 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network.

Abstract

Abstrak Asuransi syariah merupakan salah satu instrumen keuangan yang didasarkan pada prinsip-prinsip syariah, seperti keadilan, solidaritas, dan berbagi risiko, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran dan pengaruh asuransi syariah terhadap kesejahteraan masyarakat berdasarkan tinjauan literatur dari berbagai jurnal. Kajian ini menemukan bahwa asuransi syariah memiliki kontribusi signifikan dalam memberikan perlindungan finansial, mengurangi ketimpangan sosial, meningkatkan akses terhadap layanan kesehatan, serta memberdayakan ekonomi masyarakat, terutama kelompok rentan. Prinsip solidaritas sosial yang menjadi dasar asuransi syariah juga berperan dalam memperkuat hubungan antar anggota komunitas, menciptakan rasa kebersamaan, dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat. Namun demikian, tantangan seperti rendahnya literasi keuangan syariah dan keterbatasan pemahaman masyarakat menjadi kendala utama dalam pengembangan asuransi syariah. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan upaya peningkatan edukasi, inovasi produk, dan strategi yang lebih inklusif agar manfaat asuransi syariah dapat dirasakan oleh semua lapisan masyarakat. Temuan ini diharapkan dapat memberikan wawasan bagi pengambil kebijakan dan pemangku kepentingan dalam mengoptimalkan peran asuransi syariah sebagai bagian dari sistem perlindungan sosial yang berkelanjutan. Kata kunci: Asuransi syariah, kesejahteraan masyarakat, perlindungan finansial, solidaritas sosial, literasi keuangan Abstract Islamic insurance, or takaful, is a financial instrument based on sharia principles such as justice, solidarity, and risk-sharing, aimed at improving societal welfare. This study seeks to analyze the role and impact of Islamic insurance on community welfare through a literature review of various journals. The findings reveal that Islamic insurance significantly contributes to providing financial protection, reducing social inequality, enhancing access to healthcare, and empowering community economies, particularly for vulnerable groups. The social solidarity principle underlying Islamic insurance also strengthens relationships among community members, fosters a sense of togetherness, and improves overall quality of life. However, challenges such as low Islamic financial literacy and limited public understanding pose significant barriers to the development of Islamic insurance. Therefore, efforts to enhance education, product innovation, and more inclusive strategies are essential to ensure the benefits of Islamic insurance are accessible to all societal levels. These findings are expected to provide insights for policymakers and stakeholders in optimizing the role of Islamic insurance as part of a sustainable social protection system. Abstract

The need for electricity is good for the industry, offices, and public and individuals are greatly increased. However, the increase in demand for electricity is not accompanied by the additional power supply. Based on these problems, chosen solar energy as an alternative energy to generate electric power. A tool that is used here is the solar cell because it can directly convert solar radiation into electrical energy (photovoltaic process). So that solar energy can be used at night, then during the day, the electrical energy generated is stored before a battery which is controlled by the regulator. Regulator output is directly connected to the inverter from the DC to AC. The test results of solar modules (photovoltaic) indicated that the results of the average power output reached 38.24 Watt, and the currents were 2.49 A.  This is because the photovoltaic follows the direction of movement of the sun and always located at the photovoltaic to remain facing the sun. Therefore, it will still be able to capture the radiant sun to the fullest.

Abstract

For the sake of the smooth process of cement production, it is necessary to maintain each component of the production. One of the tools that play an important role in the maintenance and production of cement is the Overhead Traveling Crane, which is a combination of a separate lifting mechanism with a frame to lift and move loads that can be hung freely or attached to the crane itself. The problems that arise in the Overhead Traveling Crane include the reverse direction of the motor rotation due to an error in the motor connection, the motor cannot start due to a disconnected power supply, the occurrence of bending (curving) on ​​the girder due to lifting operations that exceed the maximum capacity which can also accelerate service life. of the girder, wear on the wheel due to high workload during operation. Due to the need for very long use, periodic maintenance is needed so that it can be in normal condition for a long time. The main parts that support the overall weight of the crane are rails and wheels. This journal discusses the analysis of failures that occur due to contact between rails and wheels that occur in a cement factory. Failure analysis is done by testing the hardness of both the wheel and the rely which is considered to have failed or is no longer suitable for use. Then review the results of direct field observations with data from hardness tests and literature studies related to wheels and rails. after that it was concluded that the company considered for the procurement of rails and wheels. The conclusion obtained is that the hardness value on the rail is lower than on the wheel. Resulting in failure of the rail so that the rail must be replaced.

Abstract

One of the tests used to determine the mechanical properties of metals is the tensile test. The results obtained from the tensile test are crucial for engineering and product design as they provide data on the strength of materials. AISI 1045 carbon steel is an alloy steel composed of iron (Fe) and carbon (C), where iron is the base element and carbon is the main alloying element. Carbon steel is also used in the manufacturing of helical/coil springs (Mobil Alvanza 2020). Coil springs are widely used in the front suspension of modern light vehicles. A new approach to fatigue prediction based on a combination of FE simulation using ABAQUS is opposed in this study. In this research, the tensile test was performed using experimental and ABAQUS simulation methods. The experimental results showed a yield strength of 350.25 MPa and an ultimate tensile strength of 560.4 MPa, while the ABAQUS simulation results showed a yield strength of 356.05 MPa and an ultimate tensile strength of 560.39 MPa

Abstract

This research aims to design and develop coil heater technology as an alternative heat source to replace wood in the brick-firing process. The research methodology involves the design of an efficient and environmentally friendly coil heater and its implementation in the brick production process. In this study, the performance of the coil heater is analyzed to ensure that the generated heat is sufficient for the brick-firing requirements. The research findings indicate that coil heater technology is capable of providing the necessary heat to achieve optimal temperatures in the brick-firing process. Furthermore, the use of this coil heater technology successfully reduces dependence on wood as the primary fuel source. The implementation of coil heater technology in the brick-making industry is expected to make a positive contribution to the environment and the sustainability of natural resources. This research stimulates innovation in the development of alternative technologies that can reduce carbon footprints and improve the overall efficiency and sustainability of brick production processes.

Abstract

The distribution system of electrical power begins from generation and is transmitted to the load, namely consumers. In this distribution, it must be effective, efficient, and reliable. The amount of electrical power reaching the load is not the same as the amount of power generated due to voltage drop or power losses. This research aims to determine the magnitude of power losses in the medium-voltage distribution network located in Pasar Aceh. The research method employed is the analysis and simulation calculation method using ETAP 12.6 software. The study analyzes power losses due to load imbalance in the JTR distribution substation of Pasar Aceh. Based on the analysis results, the load imbalance in the Pasar Aceh substation has led to power losses. The power losses in the Pasar Aceh substation, specifically at the Side Transformer of Pasar Aceh, are 0.77% with a load imbalance of 16.33%. For the second transformer in the BNI 46 area, the power losses are 0.98% with a load imbalance of 30.33%, and for the transformer in the BLKG KOTTY area, the power losses are 1.17% with a load imbalance of 50.33%. Therefore, the larger the percentage of load imbalance in an electrical distribution network, the greater the resulting power losses.
