Abstract

This study is a validation and instrument-development research whose primary goal is to examine and ensure the psychometric quality of a Logical–Mathematical Intelligence (LMI) questionnaire for Senior High School students. LMI, as a fundamental aspect of scientific reasoning, requires a well-established measurement tool. The adapted instrument consists of 24 items using a five-point Likert scale and was constructed based on Gardner’s five core LMI dimensions (numerical ability, logical reasoning, problem solving, pattern recognition, and deductive/inductive thinking). Data were collected online from 317 high school students through convenience sampling. Analysis was performed using the Rasch Model (Winsteps 3.73). The results indicate that the instrument demonstrates adequate unidimensionality (raw variance explained 33.3%) and excellent reliability (Cronbach’s Alpha 0.89; Item Reliability 0.96). All items were found to be fit and functioning properly, with strong discriminative power (Item Separation 4.98), indicating that the instrument can classify item difficulty into seven distinct levels. These findings explicitly confirm that the adapted LMI questionnaire meets international psychometric standards and is valid for mapping the logical–mathematical reasoning abilities of high school students.

Abstract

Pengembangan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa, seperti pemecahan masalah, berpikir kreatif, dan minat belajar, masih menjadi tantangan utama dalam pembelajaran matematika. Model Creative Problem Solving (CPS) dan penggunaan GeoGebra sebagai perangkat lunak matematika dinamis telah banyak diteliti secara terpisah, namun kajian yang mengintegrasikan keduanya secara sistematis masih terbatas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis karakteristik serta dampak integrasi GeoGebra dalam model CPS pada pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan protokol PRISMA. Artikel diperoleh melalui pencarian pada basis data Google Scholar dan diseleksi melalui tahap identifikasi, penyaringan, kelayakan, dan inklusi. Sebanyak 10 artikel jurnal nasional terbitan tahun 2018–2025 dipilih sebagai sumber data. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi GeoGebra dalam CPS dominan diterapkan pada jenjang pendidikan menengah dengan fokus utama pada materi geometri dan fungsi. GeoGebra dimanfaatkan sebagai media visualisasi dan eksplorasi interaktif yang mendukung tahap klarifikasi masalah, pengungkapan ide, evaluasi, dan implementasi dalam CPS. Dari sisi dampak pembelajaran, CPS berbantuan GeoGebra secara konsisten meningkatkan kemampuan kognitif siswa, meliputi pemecahan masalah, berpikir kreatif, generalisasi, berpikir kritis, komunikasi matematis, dan pemahaman konsep. Dampak terhadap kemampuan afektif, seperti minat belajar, aktivitas belajar, dan daya juang siswa, juga teridentifikasi meskipun masih terbatas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi GeoGebra dalam CPS berpotensi kuat untuk dikembangkan lebih lanjut, khususnya pada materi non-visual dan jenjang sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Dealing with these situations, educators must approach them with sensitivity and take the right steps to handle them. The purpose of this study is to determine the role of the teacher and the strategies they use in handling children with speech delays. The subjects of this study were preschool teachers who directly worked with such children. The data was collected through interviews and observations. The qualitative data showed that participants faced various challenges. The researcher concluded that the teacher's role is to create a conducive learning environment, encourage children to participate actively in activities, facilitate children to interact and cooperate in small groups, make learning plans, conduct continuous assessments, and create reports on children's individual development and learning. Teachers should use various learning methods, educational media, and provide positive feedback to students..

Abstract

Learning loss dalam pembelajaran matematika pascapandemi menjadi permasalahan serius di jenjang sekolah menengah, khususnya pada materi aljabar yang menuntut pemahaman konseptual dan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi. Kondisi ini mendorong perlunya pendekatan pembelajaran yang tidak hanya bersifat remedial, tetapi juga selaras dengan cara kerja kognitif siswa. Salah satu pendekatan yang berkembang adalah Brain-Based Learning (BBL), yang menekankan pembelajaran bermakna sesuai prinsip neurosains. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis temuan-temuan penelitian terkait penerapan BBL dalam pembelajaran matematika sekolah menengah serta kontribusinya dalam mendukung pemulihan learning loss. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR) dengan menganalisis 19 artikel ilmiah nasional dan internasional yang dipublikasikan pada rentang tahun 2020–2025. Proses kajian dilakukan melalui penelusuran literatur terstruktur, seleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi, serta analisis tematik terhadap temuan penelitian. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan BBL secara konsisten berdampak positif terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar matematika, penguatan pemahaman konsep aljabar, serta peningkatan motivasi dan keterlibatan siswa dalam pembelajaran. Selain itu, BBL mendukung proses pembelajaran yang lebih reflektif, kontekstual, dan berorientasi pada pengelolaan emosi belajar, yang berperan penting dalam memitigasi dampak learning loss. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa Brain-Based Learning merupakan pendekatan pedagogis yang relevan dan potensial untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran matematika guna mendukung pemulihan learning loss di sekolah menengah, serta layak dikaji lebih lanjut melalui penelitian empiris pada konteks kelas nyata.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the Computational Thinking (CT) skills of grade IV students in mathematics learning with number materials. Based on the CT skill test conducted on 37 students at SDN Sepanjang Jaya III, the results showed that students' ability in the indicators of decomposition (53.12%) and pattern recognition (54.68%) was still in the poor category, which indicated the difficulty of students in breaking down problems into simpler parts and recognizing patterns in numbers. Meanwhile, the indicators of abstraction (60.41%) and algorithmic thinking (77.34%) showed better achievements, although still in the sufficient category. These results reveal that students have begun to be able to sift through relevant information and follow problem-solving steps systematically, but still struggle in developing algorithms for more complex problems. This study suggests that mathematics learning in elementary school needs to place more emphasis on pattern exploration, problem-based learning, and unplugged activities to strengthen students' CT skills, especially in the aspects of decomposition and pattern recognition, as well as to encourage the development of logical and algorithmic thinking skills in a more in-depth manner.

Abstract

Conceptual understanding is a crucial foundation in algebra learning, particularly in the topic of Systems of Linear Equations in Three Variables (SLETV), which requires mathematical representation, logical reasoning, and appropriate procedural selection. This study aims to analyze students’ errors in conceptual understanding when solving contextual SLETV problems based on the error analysis theory proposed by Clements and Ellerton. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed involving 36 tenth-grade students from a senior high school in North Jakarta. Data were collected through a conceptual understanding test as a preliminary study and a contextual SLETV problem-solving test as the main instrument. Two students were selected as key subjects, representing high and low levels of conceptual understanding. The findings indicate that students with high conceptual understanding made relatively minimal and partial conceptual errors. In contrast, students with low conceptual understanding predominantly exhibited conceptual, procedural, and application errors. Furthermore, the ability to represent concepts mathematically and to select and apply appropriate solution procedures emerged as the weakest indicators. These results confirm that insufficient conceptual understanding significantly contributes to students’ errors in solving contextual SLETV problems.

Abstract

This study aims to systematically examine the implementation of Game-Based Learning (GBL) in mathematics education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of empirical studies published between 2020 and 2025. The review process was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA method, which include the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. A total of 10 articles were selected from reputable databases based on predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The analysis focused on publication trends, educational levels, and the learning competencies addressed in GBL research.  The findings indicate an increasing trend in GBL-related publications, with predominant implementation at the primary and lower secondary education levels. Most studies suggest that GBL is positively associated with improvements in students’ learning motivation, academic achievement, and critical thinking skills. In addition, GBL has the potential to support the development of students’ social, emotional, and cognitive skills through interactive and engaging learning environments. Therefore, GBL can be considered a promising alternative instructional strategy to address students’ disengagement in mathematics learning and to support the achievement of 21st-century learning goals, particularly in fostering creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Pentingnya Computational Thinking (CT) dalam pembelajaran matematika semakin meningkat seiring dengan tuntutan pengembangan Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). Namun, kajian yang ada masih bersifat terfragmentasi. Perbedaan tersebut mencakup aspek definisi konseptual, indikator utama, serta strategi pembelajaran dalam pengembangan CT. Hal ini mengindikasikan bahwa integrasi temuan penelitian mengenai pengembangan CT dalam pendidikan matematika masih terbatas.  Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara sistematis konsep, indikator, dan upaya peningkatan CT melalui pendekatan Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Tinjauan dilakukan dengan mengacu pada metode PRISMA yang mencakup tahap identifikasi, penyaringan, kelayakan, dan inklusi. Sebanyak 12 artikel yang dipublikasikan pada rentang tahun 2018–2025 dipilih dari basis data Google Scholar, Garuda, dan ScienceDirect berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi yang telah ditetapkan. Analisis dilakukan secara tematik untuk mengidentifikasi pola utama dalam penelitian terkait CT. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa CT dipahami sebagai proses berpikir logis, sistematis, dan algoritmik yang mencakup enam indikator utama, yaitu dekomposisi, abstraksi, berpikir algoritmik, pengenalan pola, generalisasi, dan debugging. Dekomposisi dan berpikir algoritmik merupakan indikator yang paling dominan dalam berbagai studi. Selain itu, peningkatan CT dalam pembelajaran matematika umumnya dilakukan melalui tiga kategori strategi utama. Pertama, pendekatan pembelajaran, seperti Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) dan Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM). Kedua, model pembelajaran, seperti Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) dan Problem-Based Learning (PBL). Ketiga, pemanfaatan media digital, seperti GeoGebra dan Scratch. Secara umum, hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa integrasi CT cenderung berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kemampuan berpikir logis dan analitis siswa. Meskipun demikian, implementasinya masih terkendala oleh keterbatasan sarana pendukung dan variasi tingkat pemahaman guru terhadap konsep CT.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas butir soal Ujian Tengah Semester (UTS) pada mata kuliah Sistem Digital menggunakan pendekatan Rasch Model. Pendekatan ini digunakan untuk mengevaluasi reliabilitas instrumen, kesesuaian butir soal (item fit), tingkat kesukaran, serta hubungan antara skor butir soal dengan kemampuan total peserta tes. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas tes berdasarkan karakteristik tes menggunakan Model Rasch. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa program studi Teknik Komputer. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa person measurement reliability sebesar 0,84 tergolong baik, sementara item measurement reliability mencapai 0,95 yang masuk dalam kategori sangat baik hingga luar biasa. Dari 30 butir soal yang dianalisis, terdapat 2 butir soal yang tidak memenuhi kriteria item fit (butir 2 dan 28), sehingga memerlukan evaluasi lebih lanjut. Selain itu, 7 butir soal memiliki nilai PT-Meas Corr di bawah 0,4, namun masih dianggap valid karena masih memenuhi kriteria MNSQ dan ZSTD dan menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan skor total. Analisis tingkat kesukaran menunjukkan distribusi soal yang beragam, dengan 6 butir sangat mudah, 6 butir mudah, 15 butir sulit, dan 3 butir sangat sulit. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi signifikan dalam evaluasi dan penilaian berbasis pendekatan Rasch Model. Hasilnya dapat menjadi referensi bagi dosen dalam menyusun soal ujian yang lebih valid, reliabel, dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini mendukung upaya peningkatan kualitas evaluasi pendidikan, khususnya pada mata kuliah yang memerlukan pengukuran kompetensi secara akurat.

Abstract

The increasing adoption of digital beauty technology through Virtual Try-On (VTO) platforms powered by artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) necessitates a precise understanding of user preferences. This study aims to model user responses to VTO features using Item Response Theory (IRT), specifically the Graded Response Model (GRM) for ordinal-scale items and the Nominal Response Model (NRM) for non-ordinal categorical items. A total of 15 items were analyzed using GRM to assess users’ perceptions of AI accuracy, feature convenience, and visual satisfaction. Additionally, five non-ordinal items were modeled using NRM to capture explicit preferences for specific VTO functionalities, such as digital interaction and visual simulation. The results show that the average user preference score was 3.02 out of 5 (SD = 1.03), while the total preference score averaged 60 out of 100 (SD = 10.7), with response distributions approximately normal (skewness = 0.12; kurtosis = -0.24). The item information curves from the GRM indicated that several items contributed high information (above 2.0), effectively differentiating users within the −1 to +1 ability range. In the NRM analysis, the “real-time color visualization feature” exhibited the highest utility parameter (c = 1.98), indicating a strong user preference for this feature. The integration of GRM and NRM enables a more nuanced and flexible mapping of user preferences. This study presents a novel psychometric approach by combining GRM and NRM within a single VTO context to simultaneously capture both ordinal and nominal dimensions of user experience, which has not been extensively explored in prior research. These findings provide meaningful insights for the development of adaptive, personalized, and intelligent AI-based VTO systems to enhance the quality of user experience in digital beauty applications.
