Abstract

Meningkatnya kebutuhan akan media pembelajaran digital yang adaptif mendorong guru untuk menguasai teknologi, termasuk pembuatan e-comic. Namun, masih banyak guru yang menghadapi tantangan dalam menggabungkan teknologi modern seperti Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan Augmented Reality (AR) dengan konten berbasis budaya lokal. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dirancang untuk membekali guru-guru di MGMP SMP MTK Rayon Jaluko dengan keterampilan membuat e-comic yang inovatif. E-comic yang mereka buat tidak hanya menggunakan AI dan AR, tetapi juga mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai budaya lokal. Pelatihan ini menggunakan pendekatan praktis (learning by doing) dan evaluasi dilakukan melalui pretest, posttest, dan observasi produk. Hasilnya menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi yang signifikan. Peserta tidak hanya mampu membuat e-comic fungsional, tetapi juga menunjukkan perubahan sikap positif dalam memanfaatkan teknologi untuk pembelajaran. Secara keseluruhan, pelatihan ini berhasil meningkatkan literasi digital guru dan membuktikan bahwa teknologi seperti AI dan AR dapat dimanfaatkan secara efektif untuk menciptakan media pembelajaran yang relevan dan kaya akan budaya.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the development process and quality of STEM-based mathematics e-comics designed to enhance students’ creative thinking skills in flat-sided geometric materials for eighth-grade students at SMP. The study follows a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE development model. The test subjects included a team of experts, a mathematics teacher, and eighth-grade students at SMPN 56 Merangin. The findings indicated a high level of validity, with the e-comics receiving a validity rating of 100% in terms of media and 95,24% in terms of material. The practicality rating from teachers was 100%, and it was classified as very practical. The overall practicality of the e-comics also fell under the “very practical” criteria. The effectiveness of the e-comics, as determined by an effectiveness questionnaire, scored 81,91%, which was considered “very effective.” Furthermore, a test yielded an N-Gain score of 0,65 categorizing the e-comics as quite effective. Based on the N-Gain score, it can be concluded that STEM-based mathematics e-comics effectively improve students’ creative mathematical thinking abilities.

Abstract

Anemia remains a common health issue among women aged 15–48 years, with a global prevalence of 30% and 18% in Indonesia. Various educational methods have been employed, yet the demand for Android-based educational models remains high. This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Anem SIP educational model for anemia prevention in adolescent girls, using a mixed methods approach and the ADDIE development model. The study adopted a mixed methods approach with the ADDIE development framework. The product was developed through validation by four experts, followed by one-on-one testing, small group testing, and field trials. The needs assessment stage served as the foundational step in the development process. Interviews with stakeholders and a survey of 30 adolescent girls indicated a continued need for an Android-based educational model. The model was designed based on the Health Belief Model (HBM), supported by the PRECEDE-PROCEED model, Social Cognitive Theory (SCT), Transtheoretical Model (TTM), multimedia learning, and the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The final product was the Anem SIP mobile application, featuring promotive, preventive, diagnostic, and monitoring components for iron-folic acid (IFA) supplement intake. Validation by four experts confirmed the model’s feasibility, and testing showed it to be user-friendly. The model comprises six procedural stages: problem identification, initial evaluation, preparation, action, final evaluation, and maintenance. Field testing revealed significant improvements in knowledge, attitudes, and adherence to IFA supplement consumption before and after the intervention. The t-test showed statistically significant increases in knowledge and attitudes (p < 0.001). Laboratory examinations also indicated an increase in average hemoglobin levels post-intervention. The Anem SIP intervention demonstrates promising potential in enhancing knowledge, attitudes, and behavioral changes among adolescent girls for the prevention of anemia

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the teacher's interpersonal communication skills and the learning motivation of class X MIA SMAN 11 Jambi City in the 21st Century Learning Mushroom Material. numerical data (numbers) processed by statistical methods. The population of this study were all students of class X MIA SMA Negeri 11 Jambi City as many as 132 students. The results of the Validity and Reliability Test of the Teacher Interpersonal Communication Ability Questionnaire were seen from the SPSS test results on the cronbach alpha value of 0.92 where the questionnaire was declared reliable or consistent because the value was more of 0.60. Furthermore, the results of the validity and reliability of the Student Learning Motivation Questionnaire were seen from the results of the SPSS test at the cronbach alpha value of 0.91 where the questionnaire was declared reliable or consistent because the value was more than 0.60. Keywords: interpersonal communication, student learning motivation, 21st century, fungi. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/jpmipa/v23i2.pp805-820

Abstract

The inability of students to think critically in solving algebraic problems is evident in their tendency to rely on formulas without a profound understanding of basic algebraic concepts. They struggle to analyze problems and devise appropriate strategies before solving them, often sticking to a singular solution approach without critically exploring alternative solutions. Critical thinking has become a crucial skill in 21st-century learning for discerning truths and making informed decisions, assessed through indicators such as Focus, Reason, Inference, Situation, Clarity, and Overview. Teachers need to comprehend students' learning styles and adjust teaching methods accordingly, as categorized by Porter into three types: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. This study delves into students' critical thinking in algebra problem-solving concerning their learning styles, utilizing a qualitative descriptive approach with purposive sampling. Based on the provided learning style questionnaire, 61.11% of students from XI IPA MAN 2 Kota Jambi exhibit a visual learning style. Subjects with a visual learning style then undergo a critical thinking test in algebra problem-solving. Research findings reveal a deficiency in students' critical thinking abilities, indicating their struggles in critically analyzing mathematical problems thoroughly.

Abstract

Background: Mathematics education fosters logical and critical thinking, where metacognition—students’ awareness and regulation of their thinking—plays a pivotal role. Specific background: Despite the growing number of studies, a comprehensive mapping of research patterns in student metacognition remains limited. Knowledge gap: Prior works emphasize classroom applications rather than systematic bibliometric visualization. Aims: This study aims to analyze global trends, thematic clusters, and temporal developments in student metacognition research within mathematics education. Results: From 362 Scopus-indexed articles (2015–2025), publication growth is dominated by mathematics (42.2%) and social sciences (41.7%). Keyword mapping identifies four clusters: metacognitive strategies and skills, conceptual frameworks, affective and individual factors, and metacognitive dimensions. Temporal mapping shows a thematic shift from conceptual foundations to technology integration, motivation, and collaboration. Novelty: The study integrates systematic literature review and bibliometric visualization using VOSviewer to provide a holistic picture of metacognition research. Implications: Findings offer insights for educators and researchers to design reflective, self-regulated, and collaborative learning strategies grounded in metacognitive awareness. Highlight Publication trends show increasing attention to metacognition in mathematics learning. Four major research clusters reveal multidimensional themes in metacognitive studies. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe digital transformation in education requires teachers to possess strong digital literacy and the ability to integrate technology with local culture to create meaningful learning experiences. This community service aimed to enhance teachers’ competence in developing digital teaching materials and assessments based on Jambi culture assisted by Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Augmented Reality (AR). The training was conducted using a participatory empowerment approach combined with a Project-Based Learning (PBL) model through four stages: socialization, hands-on workshop, implementation, and mentoring. Twenty teachers of the Junior High School Mathematics Teacher Working Group (MGMP) in Muaro Jambi participated in the program. Data were collected through observation, pre–post tests, interviews, and document analysis. The results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ competence, with the average score increasing from 63.2 to 88.5 (g = 0.68, high category). Teachers successfully produced interactive digital teaching materials that integrate Jambi’s cultural values using AI–AR tools such as Canva AI, ChatGPT, and Assemblr EDU. The program contributed to the development of the Techno-Cultural Pedagogy model, which integrates technology, pedagogy, and cultural knowledge to support digital transformation in education.Keywords: Digital Literacy, AI–AR, Teacher Training, Jambi CultureABSTRAKTransformasi digital dalam dunia pendidikan menuntut guru memiliki literasi digital yang kuat serta kemampuan mengintegrasikan teknologi dengan budaya lokal untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang bermakna. Pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan pendekatan participatory empowerment dan model Project-Based Learning (PBL) melalui empat tahap, yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan praktik, implementasi, serta pendampingan. Peserta kegiatan terdiri atas 20 guru MGMP Matematika SMP Kabupaten Muaro Jambi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, tes pre–post, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kompetensi guru dengan rata-rata skor meningkat dari 63,2 menjadi 88,5 (g = 0,68; kategori tinggi). Guru berhasil menghasilkan bahan ajar digital interaktif yang mengintegrasikan nilai budaya Jambi dengan dukungan aplikasi AI–AR seperti Canva AI, ChatGPT, dan Assemblr EDU. Abstract

ABSTRACTThe limited technological literacy and teachers’ ability to integrate digital learning media remain major challenges in implementing the Merdeka Curriculum. Addressing this issue, this study introduced the development of E-COMATS (Ethnomathematics Comic Augmented Reality for Teaching and Learning) grounded in local cultural contexts, specifically Rumah Adat Kajang Leko. The objective was to train junior high school teachers to design interactive ethnomathematics-based media using Augmented Reality (AR) in order to foster deep learning and enhance digital competence. The program was conducted as community service in an onsite workshop at SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi, engaging lecturers, students, and partner teachers. A hands-on approach was applied, starting from the introduction of ethnomathematics concepts, E-COMATS design, AR feature integration, to the production of ready-to-use media. Findings revealed that more than 85% of teachers successfully produced AR-supported E-COMATS independently, while questionnaire results showed an increase in technological literacy with an average score of 4.35 out of 5. Participants perceived the developed media as relevant, innovative, and applicable in classroom practices. These results indicate that ethnomathematics-based E-COMATS training supported by AR is effective in improving teachers’ digital literacy and strengthening the integration of local culture into mathematics learning.Keywords: Augmented Reality, E-COMATS, Ethnomathematics, Junior High School Teachers, Technological Literacy ABSTRAKRendahnya literasi teknologi dan kemampuan guru dalam mengintegrasikan media pembelajaran digital masih menjadi tantangan utama dalam penerapan Kurikulum Merdeka. Metode yang digunakan adalah praktik langsung mulai dari pengenalan konsep ethnomathematics, perancangan E-COMATS, integrasi fitur AR, hingga menghasilkan media siap pakai. Hasil menunjukkan lebih dari 85% guru berhasil menyelesaikan produk E-COMATS berbantuan AR secara mandiri, sedangkan hasil kuesioner memperlihatkan peningkatan literasi teknologi dengan skor rata-rata 4,35 dari skala 5. Guru menilai media yang dikembangkan relevan, inovatif, dan aplikatif dalam pembelajaran. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa kelas X Fase E di SMA Negeri 10 Tanjung Jabung Timur dalam memecahkan masalah materi barisan dan deret aritmetika. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas tiga siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan tingkat kemampuan penalaran matematis, yaitu tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui tes tertulis, disertai teknik think aloud (proses berpikir lisan), dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Data dianalisis dengan tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan variasi kemampuan yang signifikan pada setiap subjek. Siswa dengan kemampuan tinggi mampu memenuhi hampir seluruh indikator penalaran, seperti memahami pola, melakukan perhitungan, menggeneralisasi konsep, dan menguji hasil. Sebaliknya, siswa dengan kemampuan sedang dan rendah hanya menunjukkan pemahaman yang baik pada tahap memahami pola dan perhitungan dasar, namun masih lemah dalam menggeneralisasikan konsep dan mengevaluasi kebenaran solusi. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa secara keseluruhan masih perlu ditingkatkan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini adalah pentingnya penerapan pembelajaran yang menekankan proses berpikir logis, sistematis, dan reflektif.
