Abstract

The persistent use of homogenized teaching approaches in diverse elementary classrooms often fails to accommodate students' varying learning readiness, interests, and abilities, resulting in suboptimal learning outcomes and low student engagement. To address this issue, this study aimed to examine the effectiveness of an inclusive differentiated learning model based on local wisdom, integrating Sidoarjo local cultural values and community-based learning contexts into classroom instruction to create more meaningful and inclusive learning experiences. The study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The participants consisted of 49 fourth-grade students, including 25 students in the experimental class and 24 students in the control class. Data were collected through learning achievement tests and a student engagement questionnaire and analyzed using the Shapiro–Wilk normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, independent-samples t-test, and N-Gain analysis. The results revealed a statistically significant difference between the two groups (p < 0.001). The experimental class achieved a higher mean post-test score (85.76) than the control class (74.42), with an average difference of 11.34 points. Furthermore, the experimental class obtained a high N-Gain score (0.71), whereas the control class achieved a moderate N-Gain score (0.34). Student engagement in the experimental class was also consistently higher across all indicators, including active participation, interaction, enthusiasm, and teamwork. These findings demonstrate that integrating differentiated instruction, inclusive learning principles, and local wisdom effectively enhances both students' academic achievement and engagement. The study contributes empirical evidence supporting the development of adaptive, culturally responsive, and student-centered learning models for elementary education.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate teacher compensation policies in Indonesia in 2024, focusing on professional allowances, average salaries, and teacher welfare improvement programs. This study uses the literature review (LR) method by analyzing 15 academic journal articles as the main source. The results of the analysis show that the one-time professional allowance policy has a positive impact on teachers' welfare. However, the implementation of this policy still faces challenges in terms of unequal distribution, especially between urban and rural areas, and limited access for non-permanent teachers. This study confirms the importance of transparency and better allowance management mechanisms to improve the effectiveness of the policy. The implications of this study highlight the need for deeper reforms in the management of professional allowances and the provision of ongoing training programs to support quality education. Further research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of this policy on teacher motivation and performance, and to assess the direct correlation between compensation and learning outcomes. As such, this study is expected to make an important contribution to education policymaking in Indonesia.

Abstract

The community service program at KB-TK Aisyiyah Wonoayu aims to improve the quality of early childhood education by integrating the flipped classroom model and SWOT analysis for institutional development. The implementation method includes problem identification, socialization, training of principals and teachers, application of technology, mentoring, and evaluation. It begins with a SWOT analysis to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the school, which guides the design and implementation of the flipped classroom approach tailored to the needs of the school. Teachers are drilled to develop open modules based on flippedclassroom that allow students to learn at home through videos and engage in interactive classroom activities. The results of the study showed a 100% increase in the performance of the principal, marked by the success of the SWOT analysis and the revision of the school's vision and mission. In addition, 90% of teachers experienced an increase in the development of teaching modules and the use of AI technology and flipped classroom applications. The sustainability of this program is expected to support principals in preparing the 2025/2026 school program and maintaining the flipped classroom as an effective learning strategy, thereby increasing school competitiveness
