Abstract

Language is known as a communication tool that can be used by one person or more in spoken or written forms. Efforts to support the presence of language as a means of communication need to be proven with language skills such as: reading, listening, writing, and speaking. One of the problems that exist in the environment of the Robert Fulton Reading Park Km. 9.5 The city of Sorong is still lacking in terms of increasing children's interest in reading and mastering English vocabulary. Therefore, the Community Serving Movement Team (GRAMMAR) is here to provide encouragement and enthusiasm for children through the methods used to try to strengthen children's interest in reading and English vocabulary with the story telling method. This activity begins with the processes of initial observation, permits, implementation of activities, and reports and evaluation of those activities. The results of the activities carried out provide enthusiasm and encouragement for children in an effort to strengthen interest in reading through a commitment to reflection sessions, which are packaged in one unit of these community service activities. It is hoped that the efforts that have been implemented will continue to synergize in efforts to support the national education goal of educating the lives of the nation’s children

Abstract

Digital application becomes key role in delivering great services from big franchise such as Pegadaian, Tix ID, Shopee, Netflix, etc. The digital application on KFCku app had recently been helping in building digital payment. Hyperreality becomes widespread practice in this industry as they continue to live day by day. The core concept of this research is Hyperreality which influences substantial number of people into purchasing stuff. Purchasing should by your own decision instead of someone’s making. Content analysis will be a useful technique to measure how strong the enemy is.

Abstract

Pandemi COVID-19 menyebabkan berbagai aktivitas dialihkan menjadi secara daring, salah satunya aktivitas belajar di sekolah. Karena belum memiliki sistem informasi e-learning sendiri, kegiatan belajar daring di SMA Tunas Bangsa Palembang memanfaatkan berbagai media seperti Classroom untuk membuat kelas, Google form untuk mengisi absen, hingga Youtube untuk menyampaikan materi. Banyaknya media serta masih terdapat kekurangan yang dirasakan terkait fitur dari media yang digunakan menyebabkan pelaksanaan kegiatan belajar menjadi kurang efektif dan efisien. Sehingga, agar dapat menghadirkan kenyamanan dan kemudahan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran tersebut, diperlukan perancangan user interface dan user experience (UI/UX) sistem informasi e-learning. Penelitian ini menggunakan design thinking sebagai metode yang memiliki 5 tahapan, dimulai dengan empathize sampai pengujian prototype desain solusi (test). Pengujian prototype dilakukan dengan metode usability testing yaitu menggunakan skenario tugas serta kuesioner System Usability Scale (SUS) dan User Experience Questionnaire (UEQ). Hasil pengujian usability testing menggunakan skenario tugas dan kuesioner SUS antara lain untuk aspek learnability dan efficiency kelompok pengguna guru dan siswa yaitu 100% dan 0,04 goals/sec, untuk aspek satisfaction pengguna guru yaitu 93 dengan grade scale “A” dan untuk pengguna siswa yaitu 85 dengan grade scale “B”, skor penilaian UEQ untuk dua kelompok pengguna berada diatas 2,0 di semua kategori penilaian yaitu “Daya Tarik”, “Kejelasan”, “Efisiensi”, “Ketepatan”, “Stimulasi”, “Kebaruan”. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain prototype e-learning telah memiliki user experience yang baik. Kata kunci— Design Thinking; E-Learning; Perancangan UI/UX.

Abstract

Perkembangan perpustakaan digital (digital library) tidak lepas dari perkembangan teknologi informasi. Perpustakaan digital (digital library) dibangun diatas teknologi web, yang memungkinkan pengaksesan koleksi file digital oleh pengguna, kapan dan dimanapun posisi pengguna berada melalui internet. Perpustakaan Jurusan Ilmu Komputer memiliki informasi yang tersimpan bentuk fisik seperti buku-buku, skripsi, jurnal serta berbagai karya ilmiah lainnya yaitu 115 buah koleksi. Namun pengelolaannya masih tertutup dalam artian hanya untuk kalangan mahasiswa dan dosen sehingga masih belum dimanfaatkan oleh berbagai kalangan. Aplikasi digital library ini berbasis web dengan menggunakan media jaringan global yaitu internet. Pembuatan aplikasi ini menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan MySQL sebagai basis data. Untuk pengembangan aplikasi menggunakan metode System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) dengan model Waterfall. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian black box dapat diketahui bahwa dalam menjalankan aplikasi berjalan dengan baik karena hasil pengujian sesuai dengan hasil yang diharapkan oleh internal user dan berdasarkan hasil pengujian kuesioner penggunaan aplikasi, presentase tanggapan terbesar dalam hasil kuesioner pada bagian aspek rekayasa perangkat lunak yaitu 66,25 % (tanggapan 5 = sangat baik), pada bagian aspek fungsionalitas yaitu 67,5 % (tanggapan 5 = sangat baik) dan pada bagian aspek komunikasi visual yaitu 77,5 % (tanggapan 5 = sangat baik). Dengan pengujian kuesioner penggunaan aplikasi menggunakan perhitungan metode Likert’s Summated Rating (LSR), skor total dari keselurahan data kuesioner berjumlah 942, dimana total skor ini berada diantara kuartil III (800) dan skor maksimal (1000) pada intepretasi LSR program dinilai berhasil. Kata Kunci: Digital Library, SDLC (System Development Life Cycle).

Abstract

Adanya komputer membuat hampir semua aktivitas masyarakat di saat ini menggunakannya untuk memudahkan aktivitas. Program komputer atau perangkat lunak komputer merupakan seperangkat instruksi operasi yang mengarahkan dan mengendalikan pemrosesan informasi. Jumlah interaksi manusia dengan komputer yang terus meningkat dari waktu ke waktu membuat teknologi dan informasi menjadi suatu peraturan dasar yang harus dipahami oleh masyarakat luas. Adanya perkembangan teknologi yang besar membuat masyarakat harus bisa mempelajari dengan baik apa itu komputer dan bagaimana cara penggunaanya. Oleh karena itu, pendidikan mengenai ilmu komputer perlu diterapkan sejak dini. Berdasarkan hal ini mahasiswa Universitas Victory Sorong, dalam hal ini Tim Filkom Unvic mengambil langkah untuk melakukan sebuah kegiatan pelatihan dan pengenalan komputer kepada putera-puteri yang ada di daerah wilayah Jl. Kanal Victory, Kelurahan Klasabi, Sorong Manoi. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan pelatihan ini yaitu tim ingin mengenalkan komputer kepada setiap peserta, dan juga mengajarkan bagaimana cara penggunaan komputer dengan baik. Diharapkan bahwa kegiatan ini dapat membantu masyarakat sekitar dalam mengetahui dengan baik tentang komputer dan cara menggunakannya.

Abstract

Karakter anak yang terbentuk sejak awal akan sangat menentukan karakter bangsa kedepan. Karakter anak  akan terbentuk dengan baik, jika dalam proses tumbuh kembang anak itu sendiri, mereka mendapatkan cukup ruang untuk mengekspresikan diri mereka secara leluasa. Naskah drama dalam bentuk Tablo, memungkinkan penanaman nilai-nilai karakter yang diajarkan kepada anak secara lebih dalam dan komprehensif sehingga pembelajaran karakter berjalan dengan lebih menyenangkan dan lebih  maksimal. Selain itu, melalui pentasan drama dalam bentuk tablo, karakter anak akan terbentuk lebih baik, cerdas,  minat dan bakatnya lebih terasah, adanya peningkatan kreatifitas dalam diri seorang anak terdidik melalui proses menghayati peran-peran yang diperankan pada tablo. Oleh karena itu, kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat memberikan nilai-nilai karakter yang baik kepada anak-anak, khususnya di taman baca EGAD, kota Sorong, Papua Barat.

Abstract

The integration of technology in English language instruction for senior high school students presents substantial benefits and challenges. This study explores how technology enhances engagement, provides access to authentic materials, supports personalized learning, and fosters collaboration. It also addresses the primary challenges, including the digital divide, insufficient teacher training, balancing digital and face-to-face interactions, digital literacy, resistance to change, and data privacy concerns. The findings suggest that while technology can significantly improve English language proficiency, a comprehensive approach is necessary to overcome the associated challenges and create an effective and inclusive educational environment.

Abstract

Waste is a residue of daily human activities and is a natural process in solid form which is always found around human life. This condition is increasingly increasing as the population increases and causes more and more waste to be generated. Thus, it is a problem faced throughout the country or world, including in the Southwest Papua Province, Indonesia. The waste issue is a special concern for related parties, including the Environmental Protection and Management Service (DPPLH) and other sectors in Southwest Papua Province. This is done as an effort to prevent waste generation which can cause problems, one of which is flooding which has an impact on the social life of the people in the Southwest Papua region. Efforts to handle waste can be carried out through the use of technology as a medium of communication, outreach and information carried out by the government and the community through the Waste Transport Management Information System (SIASAH) platform at the Department. Therefore, this research can provide a thought contribution in the context of inter-line communication management related to efforts to build synergy to resolve the waste problem in Southwest Papua. The research approach used is a qualitative approach with a focus on information system development. Data collection efforts at the Sorong City Environmental Protection and Management Service (DPPLH), PT. Hendrina, the community, as well as several TPS and TPA in the Southwest Papua Province. Data obtained through observation and interviews. This system was created using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) Model with stages: 1) analysis and quick design, 2) prototype cycles (using the Balsamic mockup application 3 UML system modeling and the rational rise application then database design using MySQL), 3) testing using blackbox testing, and 4) implementation (using the SIASAH system that has been designed). The SIASAH system is here to become an educational platform for the public in providing information and improving government public services as well as providing digital-based information media support.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the issues designated as a national priority issue at this time. Determining this priority issue is to accelerate the level of achievement of national development goals. East Sorong District, Sorong City, Southwest Papua Province is one of the focus location with a high prevalence rate. This study aims to develop an information technology called SORTING (Sorong Atasi Stunting) using the case-based reasoning method. This research produces a system that can be accessed from anywhere and at any time, which can be used by residents, especially mothers, to consult regarding their baby's growth problems. SORTING was developed using the expertise of nutritionists who usually deal with stunting problems. SORTING resulted in several conclusions that the application expert system can diagnose stunting by using the case-based reasoning method as an engineering approach to the knowledge base; The application of the SORTING expert system can provide an overview of stunting including the results of the percentage of diagnoses, factors and recommendations for solutions that must be taken; The application of the SORTING expert system can be used as a second alternative to consult with experts in diagnosing stunting. And it can also be an alarm to continue consulting with experts directly; The application of the SORTING expert system can increase knowledge about stunting. The researchers hope that SORTING can assist the government in the National Action Plan for Stunting Management which emphasizes reducing stunting rates and can help the community recognize stunting diseases early and prevent them.
