Abstract

This research aims to: (1) describe the general characteristics of lowland rice farming under the jajar legowo and conventional planting systems in Maro Sebo District, Muaro Jambi Regency; (2) determine farmers’ income under both planting systems; and (3) analyze the income differences between the jajar legowo and conventional systems. The research employed a survey method, with primary data collected through interviews with respondent farmers. Descriptive analysis was used to illustrate the conditions of lowland rice farming under both planting systems, while quantitative analysis was conducted to examine farmers’ income levels. The results show that: (1) the jajar legowo system requires greater production inputs—including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and labor—compared with the conventional system, yet it yields a higher volume of harvested dry grain (GKP). (2) Farmers’ income under the jajar legowo system is higher than that under the conventional planting system. (3) Based on the results of the ANOVA test, there is a statistically significant difference in farmers’ income between the two planting systems, indicating that the jajar legowo system provides a higher income than the conventional system. Overall, the findings suggest that although the jajar legowo planting system demands more intensive input use, it delivers higher production and income, making it a more advantageous option for lowland rice farmers in Maro Sebo District.

Abstract

Abstract

This study discusses the Participation of Women in Village Fund Planning and Management. The purpose of this research is to find out how the participation of women in planning and management is involved in the Village of Medicine. The informants in this study were 20 (twenty) speakers from 3 (three) Village Governments, 5 (five) PKK people, 3 (three) Posyandu people, 8 (eight) RTs, and 1 (one) KUBE person. The research method used is descriptive method of qualitative approach. The research instrument used was interviews, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that women's participation in village fund planning and management in Berakit Village is at the level of delegated power, placation and consultation. What is dominant in the large tokenism group is that a level of participation in the community is heard and allowed to argue, but they must not have the ability to be guaranteed that their views are considered by the power holders. And seen from the use of the village budget for gender equality in the Berakit Village is not effective and efficient. In katakana it is not effective because the selection of the type of training where the culinary made from mangroves the material used is difficult to find and not efficient because the funds are spent in large quantities but no results are returned (outcome).

Abstract

his book review critically examines Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0: Explorations in the Transition from a Techno-economic to a Socio-technical Future as an intellectual map of the shift from a techno-economic logic (efficiency, productivity, automation) toward a socio-technical horizon that uses human-centricity, sustainability, and resilience as its primary compass. The review synthesizes key threads across chapters—covering conceptual distinctions between Industry 4.0 and 5.0, governance and power dynamics, AI developments (including generative AI), soft skills, circular-economy pathways, and systemic risk pressures (climate crisis, cyber threats, geopolitical volatility) that shape organizational and policy choices. While the book’s main strength lies in its breadth and interdisciplinary ambition, the review highlights areas that would benefit from sharpening: clearer definitional boundaries, more operational indicators to prevent “human-centered, sustainable, resilient” from remaining a slogan, and richer empirical mini-cases—especially beyond Europe/US contexts. Overall, the draft positions the book as a timely bridge between technological acceleration and socio-environmental accountability, and it advances a policy-centric research agenda centered on a core question: technology for whom, under which incentives, and with what social impacts.
