Abstract

Salah satu desa potensial sebagai desa pengembangan di kabupaten Kampar Riau adalah Desa Sungai Paku kecamatan Kampar Kiri, merupakan salah satu desa pengembangan di kabupaten Kampar Riau. Di desa Sungai Paku banyak terdapat usaha budidaya ikan di kolam, khususnya ikan patin. Komoditas ikan dan lainnya seperti sagu merupakan komoditas utama, yang termasuk komoditas unggulan daerah berbasis system inovasi daerah (SIDa) Riau. Maka dari itu pengembangan produk makanan jajajan difokuskan pada bahan baku berbasis sagu dan ikan. Kolaborasi produk jajanan berbasis sagu dan ikan dari hasil penelitian sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa mie sagu yang difortifikasi dengan hasil perikanan mengalami peningkatan nilai gizi protein (dari 0,3% menjadi 5,75%), demikian juga dengan produk jajanan lainnya seperti bakso dan snack ikan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan alih teknologi pengolahan makanan jajanan dan memberdayakan kaum wanita dari keluarga pembudidaya ikan membuka usaha rumahan makanan jajanan yang banyak diminati masyarakat di daerah tersebut seperti mie sagu ikan, bakso ikan dan snack ikan. Metode penerapan yang digunakan adalah metode survei partisipatif, ceramah, diskusi, praktik langsung, observasi, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Luaran kegiatan adalah : i) Meningkatnya keterampilan peserta dari kelompok mitra tentang pengolahan makanan jajanan berbasis sagu dan ikan (snack , mie dan bako sagu ikan), dan ii) Memberikan solusi pada mitra untuk memulai usaha rumahan produk jajanan berbasis sagu dan ikan.

Abstract

Seaweed is one of the main aquaculture commodities that has economic value and has anormous potential in Indonesian. However the use of seaweed, especially the Gelidium sp type, is still undertutilitized. This research aims to determine the chemical composition and secondary metabolite compounds contained in the red seaweed Gelidium sp. The method used was experimental with different solvents, namely metanol, ethyl acetate and n-hexane in the extraction process. The test parameter analysis carried out was proximate analysis and analysis of secondary metabolite compounds in the red seaweed Gelidium sp. The results of the research were that in the proximate analysis, the water content was 14.42% in the wet weight, the ash content was 8.94% in the dry weight, The fat content was 1.25% in the drg weight and the carbohydrate content was 58.12%. The high carbohydrate content in seaweed is related to the presence of crude fiber components contained. Analysis of secondary metabolite compounds showed the presence of alkaloids, steroids, saponins and phenolics in the methanol solvent; alkaloid and steroid content in ethyl acetate; and alkaloids and steroids in n-hexane solvent. Abstract

Sargassum sp. is one of the brown seaweed that contains bioactive compounds, which have antioxidant and alpha glucosidase inhibitor activity. This research aimed to determine the rendemen, secondary metabolic, total phenolic, antioxidant, and alpha glucosidase inhibitor from the extract and fractions of Sargassum sp. The research method used was an experiment by extracting Sargassum sp with methanol and the extract were fractionated with different polarity solvents (n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol). Data were analyzed descriptively. The analysis parameters consisted of rendemen, secondary metabolic (qualitative), total phenolics, antioxidants (DPPH and FRAP), and alpha glucosidase inhibitors. The results showed that the rendemen of the n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol fractions were 4,15, 5,81, and 4,94%, respectively. The secondary metabolic analysis of methanol extract were alkaloids, steroids/terpenoids, saponins, and phenolic. The n-hexane fraction were steroids/terpenoids, saponins, and phenolic. The ethyl acetate fraction were alkaloids, steroids/terpenoids, saponins, and phenolic. The ethanol and water fractions contained only saponins. The total phenolic content of the methanol extract, n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and etanol fractions were 21161,03, 7854,46, 1626,89, and 80,17 ppm. Antioxidants in methanol extract, n-hexane, ethyl acetate, ethanol fractions using DPPH were 329,42, 466,25, 535,08, and 80,17 ppm. Antioxidants in methanol extract, n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and ethanol fractions using FRAP were 196,15, 294,88, 364,26, and 492,68 ppm. Alpha glucosidase inhibitor in n-hexane fraction with an IC50 value of 538110,9 ppm. Extract and fractions of Sargassum sp. with different polarity solvents contained different secondary metabolic. Saponins were found in all solvents, phenolics and steroids/terpenoids were found in methanol extract, n-hexane, and ethyl acetate fractions, alkaloids were found in methanol exract and ethyl acetate fraction. The n-hexane fraction showed the highest activity in total phenol, antioxidant, and alpha glucosidase inhibitor.

Abstract

Besides receiving education and teaching about the virtues of halal food according to the Melayu tradition, Riau community should also get an understanding of the virtues of halal food based on the Islamic law. This study aims to analyze the concept of the Riau Malay community in maintaining halal food, and what is the manners eat traditions of Melayu society closely related to eating etiquette in Islam. This research was a field study that collects data based on interviews, observation and documentation. The results showed that the food of the Melayu community has met the elements of halal and thoyyib as stipulated in culinary fiqh in Islamic law. The motive of the Melayu community to eat with halal and thoyyib criteria’s food is more due to habits and traditions that have been taught from generation to generation through the advice and teachings of the elders. This study also revealed that the type of food that is legalized is more than the type of food that is forbidden. Although the Malay community has been taught about the concept of halal food and thoyyib, but the teaching did not contain systematic content and had not yet reached a comprehensive level of understanding.

Abstract

Abstract The character was introduced when the Indonesian nation experienced a multidimensional crisis, education was accused of failing to create quality human resources. Various efforts have been made to improve quality, such as updating the curriculum, increasing the budget or standardizing educational competencies. Character education is defined as an effort to instill intelligence in thinking, appreciation in the form of attitudes, and experience in the form of behavior that is in accordance with the noble values ​​that constitute one's identity. This activity was carried out at Tabunio Beach, Kecamatan Land of the Sea. The aim of this activity is to instill disciplinary character education through marching. The subjects of this community service are all Cadets/I of the Nusantara Maritime Academy Banjarmasin, academic year 2024/2025 with a total of 65 Cadets/I AMNUS Banjarmasin. This research technique is a questionnaire and documentation. Data for this activity was collected using questionnaires and documentation studies for data that will be used at the Banjarmasin Nusantara Maritime Academy. The marching exercise to instill the character of discipline in the cadets of the Banjarmasin Nusantara Maritime Academy is one of the steps to improve the abilities of the cadets, as well as instill the values ​​of discipline, self-discipline, togetherness, loyalty and a sense of responsibility from an early age. With this marching exercise, it is hoped that a spirit of discipline will be instilled in the Banjarmasin Nusantara Maritime Academy cadets/cadets from an early age, because this is the key to success in achieving the desired goals. Marching Exercises include a variety of basic movements, such as correct perfect stance, rest in place stance, walking stance, and respect in place   Keywords: Marching line, Character, Discipline.   Abstrak Karakter mulai diperkenalkan ketika bangsa Indonesia mengalami krisis multidimensional, pendidikan dituding gagal dalam menciptakan sumber daya manusia berkualitas. Berbagai upaya dilakukan untuk memperbaiki kualitas, seperti pembaruan kurikulum, peningkatan anggaran atau standardisasi kompetensi pendidikan. Pedidikan karakter diartikan sebagai upaya penanaman kecerdasan dalam berpikir, penghayatan dalam bentuk sikap, dan pengalaman dalam bentuk perilaku yang sesuai dengan nilai-nilai luhur yang menjadi jati dirinya. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Pantai Tabanio Kec. Tanah Laut. Tujuan pada kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menanamkan pendidikan karakter kedisiplinan melalui baris berbaris. Subjek pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah seluruh Taruna/I Akademi Maritim Nusantara Banjarmasin, tahun ajaran 2024/2025 dengan jumlah 65 Taruna/I AMNUS Banjarmasin. Teknik penelitian ini adalah angket (kuesioner) dan dokumentasi. Data pada kegiatan ini dikumpulkan menggunakan angket dan studi dokumentasi untuk data yang akan digunakan di Akademi Maritim Nusantara Banjarmasin.                                          Latihan Baris Berbaris Menanamkan Karakter Kedisiplinan Terhadap Taruna/I Akademi Maritim Nusantara Banjarmasin ini merupakan salah satu langkah untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Taruna/I, sekaligus menanamkan nilai-nilai disiplin, kedisiplinan, kekompakan, loyalitas, dan rasa tanggung jawab sejak usia dini. Dengan adanya latihan baris berbaris ini, diharapkan jiwa disiplin akan tertanam pada Taruna/I Akademi Maritim Nusantara Banjarmasin sejak dini, karena itu merupakan kunci keberhasilan dalam meraih cita-cita yang diidamkan. Latihan  Baris Berbaris mencakup berbagai gerakan dasar, seperti sikap sempurna yang benar, sikap istirahat di tempat, sikap berjalan, dan penghormatan di tempat.   Kata kunci: Baris berbaris, Karakter, Kedisiplinan.

Abstract

Hypertension means the blood pressure in the blood vessels is very high with an increase in systolic blood ≥ 90mmHg. Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that is a global health problem. Hypertension data. The aim of the research is to determine the factors that influence the incidence of hypertension. The type of research is analytical observational with a case control approach. This research was conducted at the Air Haji health center in 2024. The population in this study was 368 hypertension sufferers with a sample of 146 cases and 146 controls. Sampling used the Accidental Sample technique. Data were analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-square test. The results showed the frequency of hypertension in cases (50.0%), controls (50.0%), obesity (58.9%), stress (56.2%), and smoking (62.7%). There is a relationship between obesity (p=0.012 with OR=1.874), stress (p=0.003 with OR=4.81) with the incidence of hypertension at the Air Haji Health Center in 2024. There is no relationship between smoking (p=0.468 with OR=1.228) with the incidence hypertension. It was concluded that there is a relationship between obesity and stress and the incidence of hypertension. There is no relationship between smoking and the incidence of hypertension. It is hoped that the community health center can increase the development of health promotion programs and can provide education about hypertension, the factors that cause it. and a healthy and regular lifestyle to avoid hypertension.

Abstract

Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis bagaimana penguasaan Bahasa Inggris berkontribusi dalam mempersiapkan taruna untuk berkarir di industri maritim. Menggunakan pendekatan campuran (mixed methods), penelitian ini menggabungkan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mendapatkan pemahaman yang komprehensif mengenai tantangan dan kebutuhan dalam pengajaran Bahasa Inggris. Data kualitatif diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi kelas, sementara data kuatitafi dikumpulkan melalui survei yang melibatkan 100 taruna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun sebagian besar taruna memiliki tingkat penguasaan Bahasa Inggris yang memadai, masih terdapat tantangan signifikan dalam praktik berbicara dan mendengarkan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan pengembangan kurikulum Bahasa Inggris yang lebih relevan dan interaktif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan komunikasi taruna di dunia kerja maritim, sehingga mereka dapat lebih siap menghadapi tuntutan industri yang semakin global. Abstract This research aims to analyze how English proficiency contributes to preparing cadets for careers in the maritime industry. Using a mixed methods approach, this study combines qualitative and quantitative methods to gain a comprehensive understanding of the challeges and needs in English language teaching. Qualitative data were obtained through in-depth interviews and classroom observations, while quantitative data were collected throug a survey involving 100 cadets. The results indicate that alhtough most cadets possess adequate English profciency, significant challenges remian in speaking and listening practices. This study recommends the development of a more relevant and interactive English curriculum to enhance cadets’ communication skills in the maritime workforce, enabling them to better meet the demands of an increasingly global industry

Abstract

Garbage is a serious problem that needs more attention. Household waste is the biggest contributor to the waste problem, especially municipal solid waste due to population density. The purpose of writing this article is to see the relationship between the role of officers, attitudes and behavior of household waste management in the city of Padang. This type of research is quantitative with cross sectional type, with 100 respondents. Research variables are the role of officers, attitudes and behavior of waste management. Research instruments using a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using Chi-Square Test. The results showed less than half of the people had bad behavior (46%) in household waste management. More than half of the people said that officers had no role (54%) and lacked attitude (5%) in waste management. there is a meaningful relationship between the role of the officer (p-value 0.005) on community behavior in household waste management. There is no significant relationship between attitudes (p-value 0.124) on community behavior in household waste management. there is a meaningful relationship between the role of officers on community behavior in household waste management. There is no meaningful relationship between attitudes towards community behavior in household waste management.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Danau Sipin, Kota Jambi dengan fokus pada pengembangan teknik pengemasan vakum untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk makanan ringan Cimol yang diproduksi oleh UMKM Cimeltlicious. Tujuan utama program ini adalah meningkatkan kapasitas produksi, memperpanjang daya simpan produk, serta memberdayakan kelompok masyarakat sekitar, khususnya ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Selamat. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif-kolaboratif yang melibatkan mitra sejak tahap perencanaan, pelatihan, implementasi teknologi, hingga evaluasi dan keberlanjutan. Beberapa kegiatan yang dilaksanakan meliputi penyediaan alat vacuum sealer dan showcase pendingin, pelatihan teknik pengolahan serta pengemasan vakum, pendampingan manajemen usaha, dan strategi pemasaran berbasis media sosial. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan dalam kapasitas produksi, di mana produk cimol dalam bentuk frozen food kini memiliki masa simpan 3–4 bulan. Dari aspek sosial, terjadi peningkatan keterampilan sebesar 23,7% pada kelompok mitra berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test, yang mencerminkan keberhasilan transfer pengetahuan dan teknologi tepat guna. Dampak ekonomi tercermin dari terbukanya peluang usaha baru bagi ibu-ibu PKK dan meningkatnya kualitas kemasan yang lebih higienis dan profesional, sehingga memperluas akses pemasaran hingga ke swalayan modern. Program ini tidak hanya memperkuat posisi UMKM Cimeltlicious sebagai pelaku usaha pangan yang berdaya saing, tetapi juga menciptakan model pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dapat direplikasi di wilayah lain. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi terhadap pengembangan ilmu pengetahuan, khususnya dalam implementasi teknologi tepat guna dan pemberdayaan masyarakat berbasis kolaborasi UMKM–akademisi–masyarakat.

Abstract

Using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) as one examination for cervical cancer screening not well-known among health workers in Padang. This study was conducted to know the level of knowledge and attitudes of midwives about cervical cancer screening using Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) examination in Primary Health Center in Padang. This was a cross-sectional analytic study and has been performed in the Primary Health Center in Padang from July –August 2014. The selection of the research subjects was performed to a midwife who worked in a gynecological clinic that meets inclusion criteria. We found 48 midwives that met inclusion criteria, guided interviews were conducted with a questionnaire, data recapitulated, and computerized processed using computer software and performed statistical tests. There was a weak correlation between the level of knowledge (X) and attitude (Y) about Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) in cervical cancer screening in Padang primary health center.
