Abstract

The aims of this research are to analyse the factors influenced production of tobacco and  to count the tobacco productivity.  This research  applies a descriptive method and multiple regression analysis. Result of research indicates that level of input usage, production rate and level of productivity, quality of tobacco type Muntilanan has experienced a drastic degradation from the year 2005 to 2009. Hereinafter level of input usage experiences upsurge, although some inputs still experience a degradation. Number of partnership member, seed, NPK Fertil/Basal, Ortheen/Roteen 75 SP, Marcis, Hylan/ Suckericide Prime Plus, years of 2006, years of 2007, years of 2008 and years of 2009 are significant factors affecting production while number of partnership member,Seed, NPK Fertil/Basal, KNO3, Hylan/ Suckericide Prime Plus, Marcis, Year of 2006, and Year of 2009 are important factors to affect productivity.

Abstract

Desa Teramang Jaya di Kabupaten Mukomuko, Provinsi Bengkulu memiliki potensi besar dalam pengembangan UMKM, salah satunya adalah produksi tempe tradisional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses pembuatan tempe secara tradisional yang masih digunakan masyarakat setempat. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara langsung dengan pelaku usaha tempe di desa tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembuatan tempe terdiri dari tahapan pemilihan kedelai, pencucian, perendaman, perebusan, penirisan, penggilingan, peragian, pengemasan, hingga fermentasi. Meskipun masih bersifat tradisional, usaha ini memberikan kontribusi ekonomi bagi masyarakat setempat. Penerapan prinsip sanitasi dan kebersihan sesuai dengan standar SNI 3144:2009 menjadi kunci dalam menghasilkan produk tempe yang higienis dan berkualitas.

Abstract

Tahu merupakan produk olahan kedelai yang populer di Indonesia karena nilai gizinya dan harga yang terjangkau. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji proses produksi tahu dan potensi usahanya dalam skala rumah tangga. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara terhadap pemilik pabrik tahu di Jawa Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa produksi tahu memiliki prospek ekonomi yang menjanjikan, meskipun terdapat tantangan seperti pengelolaan limbah dan ketergantungan terhadap bahan baku impor. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi referensi bagi pelaku UMKM di bidang pangan.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of service quality on customer satisfaction at Bank BRI Padang Harapan Unit, Bengkulu City. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach through participatory observation and semi-structured interviews with employees and customers during a one-month field internship. The findings indicate that service responsiveness, adoption of digital technology (BRImo), and effective communication are key factors in improving customer satisfaction and loyalty. The study also identifies several service quality improvement strategies, including human resource training, customer education, and digital service promotion. The primary contribution of this research lies in applying a digital approach within the context of local banking services.

Abstract

Tanaman selada hidroponik menjadi solusi yang tepat dalam menghadapi tantangan ketahanan pangan, kesehatan, dan keberlanjutan lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mengevaluasi kelayakan usahatani tanaman selada dengan sistem hidroponik di Balai Penerapan Standardisasi Instrumen Pertanian (BPSIP) Bengkulu. Penelitian dilakukan dari Juli hingga Agustus 2023 di lokasi tersebut. Melalui metode pengumpulan data primer dan sekunder, penelitian ini menyajikan informasi tentang biaya tetap, biaya variabel, total biaya, penerimaan, pendapatan, dan rasio keuntungan atas biaya (B/C Ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total biaya yang dibutuhkan dalam satu periode tanam adalah Rp114.359, sedangkan penerimaan yang diperoleh mencapai Rp325.000. Dengan demikian, pendapatan usahatani tanaman selada hidroponik di BPSIP Bengkulu adalah sebesar Rp210.641. Rasio keuntungan atas biaya (B/C Ratio) yang lebih dari 1 (1,84) menunjukkan bahwa usaha tanaman selada hidroponik layak dan menguntungkan. Tanaman selada hidroponik tidak hanya memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap ketahanan pangan, tetapi juga memberikan potensi ekonomi yang menjanjikan bagi pelaku agribisnis.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the phytochemical composition and antioxidant potential of extracts from Indonesian medicinal plants as a foundation for developing modern pharmaceutical preparations while enhancing the economic value of herbal products. Seven local plant species, including Poikilospermum suaveolens, Curcuma longa, and Curcuma xanthorrhiza, were tested using ethanol maceration and antioxidant activity assays with the DPPH method. The results revealed variations in key bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, tannins, saponins, and terpenoids, with IC₅₀ values ranging from 20.44 to 80.4 µg/mL, indicating strong to very strong antioxidant activity. A negative correlation (r = –0.82) between the number of active compounds and IC₅₀ values suggests that phytochemical complexity is directly related to biological potency. From an economic perspective, plants with high antioxidant activity have strong potential as raw materials for high-value phytopharmaceuticals and natural cosmetics for export. The findings emphasize that integrating phytochemical research with a green economic approach can strengthen the competitiveness of Indonesia’s herbal industry based on sustainable natural resources.

Abstract

Limited water resources and increasing global food demand require the application of efficient and sustainable agricultural technologies. This study examines the use of soil moisture sensor-based automatic irrigation technology to improve water efficiency and support sustainable food security through literature review and secondary data analysis. The results show that this technology can save water usage by 30–50%, increase crop productivity by up to 25%, and reduce long-term operational costs. The system works by continuously monitoring soil moisture and regulating water supply according to crop needs. The main challenges include initial investment costs, farmers' limited knowledge, and supporting infrastructure, but these can be overcome through policy support, training, and appropriate business models. This study recommends the development of affordable automated irrigation systems, increased farmer capacity, and comprehensive policies to accelerate the adoption of this technology at the field level.

Abstract

Stakeholder involvement is the key to the strength of the institution. A village institution with many programs that are the focus of many parties become the center of attention of the entire community, the skill of head of the village (HOV) in appreciating figures who are interested in a program is the key to the success of the program runs and they appreciate the leadership of HOV. An affair has two types of figures, traditional (known before) and emerging (unknown before). As a result of information searching does not cover both it may become an obstacle for a program to be implemented perfectly. Either a strategy of searching covering information or appreciation strategy to both figures is discussed.

Abstract

The growing population and changing consumption patterns in Bengkulu City have led to an increase in waste volume, posing environmental pollution risks affecting soil, water, and air. As a solution, the SEHATI Central Waste Bank implements a structured, community-based waste management approach that involves waste collection, sorting, processing, and recycling of both organic and inorganic waste. This initiative is supported by a digital application that streamlines waste management processes, ensures transaction transparency, and enhances incentives for participating community members. The application also provides education on the importance of 3RB (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Benefit), aiming to reduce waste ending up in landfills. Community service results show that the use of this digital application not only increases community participation in waste sorting and management but also effectively reduces environmental pollution. The SEHATI Waste Bank has successfully promoted environmental sustainability through a circular economy that supports sustainable waste management.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to analyze operational activities and marketing strategies implemented at Bank BRI Gading Cempaka Unit based on a one-month field practice. The approach used was descriptive qualitative with data collection methods through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the Teller, Customer Service, and Marketing divisions have a significant role in providing financial services and reaching the community. The 4P-based marketing strategy (Product, Price, Place, and Promotion) was implemented effectively, especially in promoting BRImo, Simpedes, and KUR products. In addition, direct interaction with customers and field surveys by marketing officers strengthened trust and expanded service access. Digital literacy is a challenge, especially for elderly customers, so face-to-face education is still very much needed. This activity provides a strategic overview for improving banking services and marketing in local work units.
