Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively reveal the competence of school principals in Tulang Bawang Regency. This research is a case study research in the field using an analytical perspective. This field research is a collaboration with school supervisors to obtain accurate and reliable data. It was concluded that the highest managerial competence of the principals of SMP in Tulang Bawang Regency was SMP Yapindo with a score of 3.89 followedby SMPN 2 Banjar Agung with a score of 3.86, SMPN 3 Menggala with a score of 3.8, SMPN Satap 2 Gedung Meneng with a score of 3.26, SMP Dwipa Karya Mandiri with a score 3.23, Menggala 4 Middle School with a score of 3.14, Angkasa Middle School with a score of 3.03, Meneng Satap 1 Middle School with a score of 2.87, and the lowest was obtained by Satap 3 Meneng Building Middle School. The average performance of school principals in managerial competence is 3.30. This means that the performance of school principals is classified as good. Key words: Principal, Junior high, Competency, Managerial.Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap secara komprehensif kompetensi kepala sekolah di Kabupaten Tulang Bawang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian studi kasus di lapangan dengan menggunakan perspektif analitik. Penelitian lapangan ini merupakan kolaborasi dengan pengawas sekolah guna mendapatkan data yang akurat dan dapat dipercaya. Disimpulkan bahwa kompetensi manajerial kepala sekolah SMP Se-Kabupaten Tulang Bawang tertinggi adalah SMP Yapindo dengan skor 3.89 diikuti SMPN 2 Banjar Agung dengan skor 3.86, SMPN 3 Menggala dengan skor 3.8, SMPN Satap 2 Gedung Meneng dengan skor 3.26, SMP Dwipa Karya Mandiri dengan skor 3.23, SMP 4 Menggala dengan skor 3.14, SMP Angkasa dengan skor 3.03, SMPN Satap 1 Gedung Meneng dengan skor 2.87, dan terendah didapat oleh SMPN Satap 3 Gedung Meneng. Rata-rata kinerja kepala sekolah pada kompetensi manajerial adalah 3.30 ini berarti bahwa kinerja kepala sekolah tergolong Baik.Kata kunci: Kepala sekolah, SMP, Kompetensi, Manajerial

Abstract

Pengelasan adalah proses menggabungkan dua logam dengan kekuatan tinggi, yang merupakan bagian penting dari proses manufaktur. Studi ini menganalisis kekuatan las pada sambungan bejana tekan decolorizer. Bejana tekan decolorizer ini berisi cairan berjenis polyacrilic acid, hydrogen peroxide, dan ethylene dichloride (EDC). Cairan ini akan digunakan untuk menghilangkan warna dari material, baik yang memiliki warna alami maupun warna tambahan. Bejana tekan ini digunakan di perusahaan tekstil dan percetakan kertas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengumpulkan data tentang sifat mekanis dan fisik dari sambungan las GTAW dengan material SA 283 Grade C. Uji tarik, bending, radiografi, dan penetrant adalah metode pengujian yang digunakan. Standar pembuatan spesimen didasarkan pada standar ASME section IX sebagai validasi hasil pengujian dari material SA 283 Grade C. Dari pengujian tarik yang telah dilakukan hasil untuk spesimen T1 terjadinya titik elastisitas pada beban 110 kN dengan beban maksimum kekuatan tarik sebesar 204,36 kN dan regangan maksimum pada saat patah sepanjang 36 mm, sedangkan untuk spesimen T2 diperoleh titik elastisitas pada beban 105 kN dengan beban maksimum pada kekuatan tarik sebesar 204,76 kN dan regangan maksimum pada saat patah sepanjang 32 mm yang terlihat patahan terjadi pada zona HAZ (Heat – Affected Zone) pada base metal yang menandakan hasil lasan lebih kuat dibandingkan base metal. Hasil pengujian bending pada spesimen face bend dan root bend menunjukkan tidak ada retakan atau lubang pada daerah lasan. Berdasarkan hasil radiography dan pengujian dye pentrant test tidak terlihat adanya kecacatan baik berupa cavities maupun crack.

Abstract

Tempe merupakan menu favorit masyarakat Indonesi hal ini ditandai dengan kebutuhan tempe semakin lama semakin meningkat. Untuk menjadi menu yang menarik, tempe perlu diolah dengan berbagai alat, salah atu alat yang banyak dibutuhkan oleh UMKM adalah alat pengiris tempe otomatis. Oleh karena itu penelitian ini akan membahas rancang bangun alat pengiris tempe dalam rangka membantu UMKM untuk mengiris tempe dengan efektif dan efisien. Perancangan alat ini menggunakan metode Pahl and Beitz dengan software disain solidwork sebagai perangkat bantu disain komponen, assembly dan analisis hasil perancangan. Dari hasil perancangan, secara simulasi kekuatan rangkanya diperoleh 57,76 MPa, dimana rangka masih mampu menahan beban. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil perancangan dapat diterima dan dapat di manufaktur. Pembuatan alat pengiris tempe otomatis ini terbagai menjadi beberapa tahapan antara lain pengukuran, pemotongan, pengelasan, pengecatan, perakitan dan pengujian. Mekanisme penggerak utama menggunakan motor listrik AC 2 hp dengan transmisi penggerak puli dan belt yang menggerakkan pisau sebagai media untuk mengiris tempe dengan kapasitas produksi sebesar 50 km/jam.

Abstract

This study employed an ex post facto quantitative approach to investigate the individual and combined effects of visionary leadership and organizational commitment of school principals on the professional competence of 144 randomly selected State Middle School teachers in Pesawaran Regency, out of a population of 225. Data was collected through questionnaires and analyzed using simple and multiple regression techniques after conducting prerequisite regression tests. The findings indicate that both the principal's visionary leadership and organizational commitment have a significant positive influence on enhancing teacher professional competence when examined individually. Moreover, when considered together, these factors collectively contribute significantly to the improvement of teacher professional competence.

Abstract

This research investigates how the leadership style of school principals, teacher commitment, and the organizational culture affect teacher discipline in Public Elementary Schools in the Banyumas District, Pringsewu Regency. The study uses a quantitative approach and includes 122 public elementary school teachers as participants. Data was collected through questionnaires, and analysis involved regression tests to assess normality, heteroskedasticity, multicollinearity, and data linearity. The findings show that both transformational leadership of the school principal and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on teacher discipline. Moreover, when combined, these factors also positively and significantly influence teacher discipline.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to examine the influence of the transformational leadership style of school principals and organizational culture on teacher performance in schools. The articles used in this literature review were obtained through Google Scholar by using keywords such as "transformational leadership," "organizational culture," and "teacher performance." Based on the literature review findings, the researchers discovered that transformational leadership style and organizational culture have a positive and significant impact on teacher performance.

Abstract

Abstract: The Role of Principal Academic Supervision in Improving Teacher Performance at the Elementary School Level. The most fundamental problem in the education unit is how supervision efforts are made by the school principal to improve teacher performance, especially in elementary schools (SD). This becomes a task that cannot be abandoned by a school principal, because it is a form of responsibility of a leader in terms of improving teacher performance. By increasing teacher performance, school performance will also be better. The research method in this article uses the library research method (Library Research). This research method relates to library data collection methods. Data collection techniques in this study use documentation and data analysis techniques. or certain values that are believed by researchers related to the problem of supervising school heads through documents related to the problems that researchers examine. The results of this research are that academic supervision carried out by the principal can improve teacher performance at the school, because teachers receive supervision, the principal also provides feedback when there are teachers carrying out academic supervision, so that they continue to motivate teachers to improve their professionalism in teaching. Implementation of academic supervision by school principals is based on the need to overcome problems with learning tools, lesson plans, learning materials, class management, assessment of learning outcomes, teacher discipline, and implementation of character education. Several methods can be used and implemented by the principal as a supervisor in carrying out academic supervision activities to improve teacher performance, namely: guidance for teachers, education and training, and increasing teacher motivation.Keywords: Supervision, Principal, Teacher Performance

Abstract

This study examines the influence of academic supervision by the school principal and work motivation on teachers' professionalism. Employing a quantitative approach with an ex post facto design, the research encompasses all junior high school teachers in South Lampung Regency. A sample of 130 teachers was obtained through simple random sampling. Data collection involved distributing questionnaires, and the analysis used simple linear regression. The findings reveal that both academic supervision by the school principal and work motivation have a positive and significant impact on teachers' professionalism. Specifically, in State Junior High Islamic Schools in South Lampung Regency, increased academic supervision by the head of the madrasah correlates with higher levels of teachers' professionalism. Similarly, increased work motivation corresponds with enhanced teacher professionalism. Therefore, the study recommends that school principals enhance the quality of academic supervision and foster greater work motivation among teachers to achieve higher professionalism.

Abstract

The challenge teachers often face today is evaluating individual student performance. Assessment of student performance is an essential aspect of different learning, but it is difficult for teachers to evaluate individual student performance when there are many students in a class. This study aims to analyze teachers' ability to conduct performance assessments in differentiated learning. The research method used is the mixing method. The population in this study were the teachers of the learning committee at the driving school. The sample consisted of 30 teachers spread across three districts/cities. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques using quantitative and qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the teacher's performance appraisal skills in differentiated learning were still very varied and tended to be in choices 2 and 3 in the predetermined rubric. It was concluded that analyzing the teacher's ability to evaluate performance in differentiated learning was still relatively low. Integrating teacher assessment in learning refers to developing, implementing, and analyzing assessment results that are integrated and interrelated in learning programs. Integrating this assessment is very important because it can help teachers monitor student progress, evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs, and make the right decisions in improving learning programs.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tujuan dilaksanakannya kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengetahuan serta kesiapan kepemimpinan instruksional kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan komitmen dan budaya organisasi kepala sekolah dan kepuasan kerja guru SMA di Kota Bandar Lampung. Target khusus yang ingin dicapai adalah peserta dapat mengimplementasikan hasil desiminasi penelitian tentang gaya kepemimpinan instruksional sekolah. Metode yang akan digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan dan target di atas adalah (1) Kegiatan ceramah dan diskusi/tanya jawab tentang pentingnya pemahaman kepemimpinan instruksional, (2) Penyajian materi kepemimpinaan pendidikan khususnya kepemimpinan instruksional, komitmen organisasai, budaya organisasai, kepuasan kerja guru. (3) Memberikan pelatihan dengan menyajikan materi melalui tatap muka langsung mengenai kepemimpinan instruksional, (4) Memberikan pelatihan kepemimpinaan instruksional (5) melakukan pretest dan postest. Hasil dari pretest yaitu sebesar 80% dalam kategori belum memahami, akan tetapi pada hasil postest diperoleh skor rata-rata yaitu 90% meningkat dalam kategori baik. sehingga menunjukkan peserta didik dapat memahami materi pelatihan kepemimpinan instruksional bagi kepala sekolah SMA se Bandar Lampung dan diharapkan kepala sekolah dapat mengimplementasikan gaya kepemimpinan instruksional untuk meningkatkan komitmen dan budaya organisasi dan kepuasan kerja guru.   Kata kunci: Pelatihan, Kepemimpinan Instruksional  ABSTRACT The purpose of this service activity is to provide understanding and knowledge, as well as to prepare the instructional leadership of school principals in enhancing the commitment and organizational culture of school principals and the job satisfaction of high school teachers in Bandar Lampung City. The specific target to be achieved is that participants can implement the results of the research dissemination on school instructional leadership styles. The methods that will be used to achieve the above goals and targets are (1) lectures and discussions/Q&A sessions about the importance of understanding instructional leadership, (2) presentation of material on educational leadership, specifically instructional leadership, organizational commitment, organizational culture, and teacher job satisfaction, (3) providing training by presenting material through face-to-face meetings on instructional leadership, (4) offering training on instructional leadership, and (5) conducting pretests and posttests. The result of the pretest was 80% in the category of not understanding, but in the posttest, an average score of 90% was obtained, indicating an improvement in the good category. This shows that the students can understand the training material on instructional leadership for high school principals in Bandar Lampung, and it is hoped that the principals can implement instructional leadership styles to enhance commitment, organizational culture, and teacher job satisfaction.  Keywords: Training, Instructional Leadership
