Abstract

Keterampilan berpikir kritis adalah keterampilan proses berpikir seseorang dalam menyelesaikam permasalahan berdasarkan informasi yang telah diperoleh dan dapat dipertanggungjawabkan dengan baik untuk mencapai kesimpulan yang tepat. Keterampilan berpikir kritis diukur menggunakan penilaian berupa soal tes. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan validasi instrumen penelitian yang dilakukan dengan menentukan validasi isi tes penguasaan konsep dan validasi butir soal tes keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X pada materi komponen ekosistem dan interaksinya. Validasi isi pada soal tes keterampilan berpikir kritis ini terdiri atas beberapa aspek, diantaranya: aspek konten ilmu, aspek konstruk, dan aspek bahasa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis deskriptif kuantitatif berdasarkan perhitungan Uji Gregory. Data validasi isi diperoleh dari dua orang ahli. Hasil validasi ahli dihitung menggunakan Uji Gregory pada soal tes keterampilan berpikir kritis pada materi komponen ekosistem dan interaksinya sehingga didapatkan kesimpulan kategori validasi isi adalah sangat tinggi dengan skor 1.

Abstract

Internet memiliki peranan penting untuk minat belajar bagi peserta didik dan membawa pengaruh yang besar terhadap dunia pendidikan. Pemanfaatan Internet of Things merupakan salah satu inovasi yang berperan penting untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana hubungan Internet of Things (IoT) terhadap minat belajar biologi peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif yang telah dilakukan pada bulan Januari - November 2023 di Departemen Biologi FMIPA UNP dan SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. Sampel berjumlah 100 orang peserta didik. Teknik pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan nilai r = 0,7562 (korelasi kuat) dan nilai thitung (11,441) > ttabel (1,984). Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif signifikan antara Internet of Things dan minat belajar biologi peserta didik kelas XI di SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang.

Abstract

Model pembelajaran adalah kompenen utama dalam proses belajar dan mengajar. Terdapat banyak macam model pembelajaran yang dapat kita jumpai didalam dunia pendidikan, salah satunya adalah discovery learning. Adapun tujuan dari dilakukan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana penerapan model pembelajaran ini mempengaruhi berpikir kritis siswa SMA pada pembelajaran IPA yang mencakup Biologi, IPA dan Kimia. Dengan mengkaji artikel-artikel yang berkaitan dengan berpikir kritis siswa dan penerapan model pembelajaran discovery learning. Metode yang digunakan adalah literature review dengan meta-analisis. Artikel didapatkan dari database, seperti Google scholar, dan lain sebagainya. Hasil yang didapatkan dari meta-analisis adalah model pembelajaran ini dapat memberikan dampak yang positif bagi siswa, baik bagi hasil belajar siswa maupun cara berpikir siswa dalam mencari solusi dari suatu permasalahan. Hasil ini didukung dari lima artikel yang telah di analisis yaitu semua hipotesis dari lima artikel tersebut dapat di terima. Dimana adanya perbedaan yang di lihat sangat menonjol dari dua kelas yang diterapkan model pembelajaran yang berbeda.

Abstract

The problem in MAN 2 Tanah Datar states that there has never been a measurement of scientific argumentation ability and there is no data on students' scientific argumentation ability, especially on environmental change material. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of students' scientific argumentation ability on environmental change material with a descriptive research type. The sample used was 160 students who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was in the form of five essay questions. Data analysis techniques were scoring, determining values ​​and determining the level of scientific argumentation. Of the 160 samples, there were 140 students whose scientific argumentation ability was categorized as sufficient and 20 students were categorized as weak. The overall results of the study showed that the level of students' scientific argumentation ability on environmental change material at MAN 2 Tanah Datar was classified as sufficient with a percentage of 42.63.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the PBL model with a local wisdom approach on students' critical thinking skills. Local wisdom-based learning is also one of the efforts that teachers can make to introduce learning with a contextual approach that is full of real experiences while helping to maintain the noble values ​​of local wisdom in their area, which are very much needed by students. This study uses an experimental method with a randomized control-group pretest posttest design that compares the results of the Pretest and Posttest. From the research results, it can be seen that the hypothesis test shows a sig. (2-tailed) value <0.05, which is at 0.00. This proves that there is an increase in students' critical thinking skills after implementing problem-based learning (PBL) with a local wisdom approach. So from these results it can be shown that H1 is accepted, namely that the problem-based learning model with a local wisdom approach has a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the development of Student Worksheets (LKPD) based on Discovery Learning through a literature review. LKPD based on Discovery Learning is one of the effective learning media to improve critical thinking skills, problem solving, and students' understanding of concepts independently. The method used in this study is a literature review by examining various reference sources related to the development of LKPD, the application of the Discovery Learning model, and its impact on student learning outcomes from the Google scholar database from 2017 to 2023. The results of the review show that the development of LKPD based on Discovery Learning has a positive influence on the learning process, by increasing active participation and deeper understanding of the material. In addition, analysis of various studies shows challenges in implementation, such as time constraints, teacher readiness, and curriculum adaptation. Therefore, training is needed for educators and adjustments to LKPD to make it easier to apply in various classroom conditions. This study is expected to be a reference for the development of LKPD that is more effective and innovative in supporting Discovery Learning-based learning in schools.

Abstract

Collaboration skills are a process carried out in groups to discuss differences through listening, giving suggestions, listening to discussions and respecting differences of opinion. Student collaboration skills can be dangerous in the learning process, one of which is by utilizing digital-based learning media. Digital supplement books are complementary books to printed books which contain reading text, images, video, audio and other information that can be read on smartphones, laptops and other portable devices. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of disaster-integrated digital supplement books on students' training skills. This research was conducted using the Quasi Experiment research method (pseudo-experiment). The data collection technique for this research was an observation sheet filled in by two observers at each meeting and a questionnaire filled in individually by students. The average observation sheet for the collaboration skills of students in the experimental class was higher than that of the control class, namely 71 for the experimental class and 59 for the control class. At the level of student collaboration skills, the average value of the experimental class was 91% greater than that of the control class, which was 79%. From this study it can be interpreted that the integrated digital supplement book on the impact of disasters has an effect on the skills of the trainees.

Abstract

The implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka requires updated teaching materials that can accommodate suitable learning characteristics. This study is a development research using the 4-D model in three stages: define, design, and develop. The subjects of this study are 35 students from grade X of MAN 2 Padang Panjang, 1 biology subject teacher of MAN 2 Padang Panjang, and two lecturers from the Department of Biology, FMIPA UNP. The object of this research is the PjBL-STEM-based worksheet on environmental change and preservation material. Data for this study are obtained from teacher interviews, student observation questionnaires, and validity questionnaires. The result obtained for the product validity score is 91%, categorized as highly valid, thus can be used in biology learning.

Abstract

Teachers’ perception of a particular material is an influential aspect of the way teachers learn the material.  Since evolution is a debating material, teachers affected by this condition when they teaching the evolutionary topic. For those reasons, this descriptive study aimed to identify teachers’ perception of evolution learning, which consists of four main aspects: learning material, strategy, sources, and assessment. The population is all biology teachers at Padang, Sumatera Barat, Indonesia. Sampling was taken by purposive sampling, with criteria biology teachers that already taught the evolutionary topic in senior high school. Data collected from the questionnaire and analyzed descriptively in percentage. The result showed that for the majority of biology teachers at Padang have perceptions toward four aspects of evolution learning in a category very good, good, and good enough. In details, more concerns are needed for some less valued descriptor related to the contradiction issue between evolution theory and Islamic beliefs. In the average, each score of perception for four aspects are: learning material 3.71; strategies 4.11; sources 3.64; and assessment 3.92 with all average criteria in good category. Each aspect performed is discussed.

Abstract

Hasil analisis awal yang menunjukkan kurangnya kemampuan system thinking peserta didik kelas XI SMAN 5 Padang berada pada kriteria yang perlu ditingkatkan. Penerapan model PBL juga masih belum optimal dalam pembelajaran biologi. Hal ini dikarenakan guru yang cenderung belajar dengan metode ceramah. Untuk itu, perlu upaya untuk meningkatkan system thinking peserta didik melalui penerapan model PBL dalam pembelajaran serta melihat faktor IQ peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pengaruh PBL terhadap system thinking peserta didik dengan diferensiasi intelektual kelas XI SMAN 5 Padang.Jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan rancangan post-test only control group design. Populasi adalah seluruh kelas XI MIPA SMAN 5 Padang tahun pelajaran 2022/2023. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol dan XI MIPA 7 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penilaian system thinking berupa tes essay yang jawabannya dalam bentuk peta konsep. Analisis data menggunakan uji independent sample t-test dan uji korelasi rank spearman menggunakan SPSS versi 25.Hasil penelitian system thinking pada kelas eksperimen memiliki nilai yang lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dengan nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen sebesar 67,27 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 54,86. Hasil analisis data pengaruh PBL terhadap system thinking peserta didik sebesar 0,000 0,05, artinya terdapat perbedaan signifikan system thinking antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian hubungan IQ dan system thinking peserta didik kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol dengan nilai koefisien korelasi IQ pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 0,446 atau 19,8% dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 0,091 atau 0,8%. Artinya kelas yang menggunakan model PBL dalam pembelajaran biologi memberikan nilai kontribusi IQ sebesar 19,8% terhadap system thinking dan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lainnya yaitu faktor eksternal dan faktor internal. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh adalah terdapat pengaruh model PBL terhadap system thinking peserta didik dengan diferensiasi intelektual kelas XI SMAN 5 Padang.
