Abstract

This research aims to develop mobile learning media specifically designed for basic subjects in Computer Network Engineering and Telecommunications to enhance student motivation and learning outcomes. Utilizing the RD (Research and Development) method, the ASSURE model was employed for development. This model includes analyzing learners, stating objectives, selecting instructional methods, media, and materials, utilizing media and materials, requiring learner participation, and evaluating and reinforcing. The mobile media was tested with 36 students from TJKT Vocational High School in Padang. Data collection instruments included validation sheets, practicality questionnaires, student evaluation questions, and student response questionnaires. Results showed a material expert validity of 0.89 and a media expert validity of 0.94, both indicating high validity. Teacher-assessed practicality scored 90.67, while student assessments scored 86.19, both in the very practical category. Effectiveness was determined by student evaluations, with 88.89% of students achieving competency, indicating high effectiveness. The increase in student learning outcomes was significant, with a gain score of 0.74% in the high category. The T-test revealed a significant difference in pretest and posttest learning outcomes (p-value 0.005). In conclusion, the problem-based learning mobile media developed for basic computer network engineering and telecommunications subjects has been validated, deemed practical, and proven effective for learning. Its implementation is expected to boost student engagement, creativity, and learning outcomes, thereby potentially improving the overall quality of education.

Abstract

UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang merupakan salah satu contoh perpustakaan di Universitas Negeri Padang yang merniliki banyak koleksi buku dan peminat pengunjung yang beragam, kelengkapan buku yang tersedia bagi pengunjung dan kenyamanan saat membaca serta pencarian buku sangat mempengaruhi jumlah pengunjung. Banyak pengguna fungsi pencarian yang dapat diakses untuk memahami informasi yang tersembunyi di dalam data tersebut. Atribut data yang akan digunakan adalah bulan kunjungan, fakultas, dan golongan koleksi yang dipinjam. Hasil dan pengolahan data pengunjung ini bertujuan untuk membantu pihak UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang agar memudahkan dalam proses perencanaan untuk meningkatkan mutu perpustakaan. Penggalian data diperlukan untuk mengekstrak informasi yang tersembunyi di dalam database yang ada. Data mining adalah proses interaktif dan fleksibel yang dapat digunakan untuk membuat model baru atau murni yang dapat divalidasi secara menyeluruh terhadap berbagai macam database. Algoritma K-Means dan aplikasi RapidMiner digunakan dalam teknik pengelompokan penelitian ini. Dengan menerapkan algoritma k-means pada proses klasterisasi data UPT Perpustakaan, Penerbitan, dan Percetakan Universitas Negeri Padang, maka dapat diidentifikasi dan ditentukan jumlah cluster yang sesuai serta parameter-parameternya berdasarkan karakteristik masing-masing cluster. Dari penelitian dihasilkan 3 cluster yang diantaranya untuk cluster pertama (C1) pada kedelapan fakultas dan dari bulan januari 2022 hingga desember 2022, pengunjung banyak meminjam koleksi golongan 0 (Karya Umum) dan 100 (Filsafat dan Psikologi). Cluster kedua (C2) pada kedelapan fakultas dan dari bulan januari 2022 hingga desember 2022, pengunjung banyak meminjam koleksi golongan 800 (Kesusatraan) , 900 (Sejarah, Geografi) , dan FIC (Karya Fiksi). Antara Januari 2022 dan Desember 2022, pengunjung klaster ketiga (C3) dari delapan fakultas meminjam banyak koleksi dalam kategori 500 (Sains dan Matematika), 600 (Teknologi dan Ilmu Terapan), dan 700 (Seni, Hiburan, dan Olahraga). Serta untuk cluster keempat (C4) pada kedelapan fakultas dan dari bulan januari 2022 hingga desember 2022, pengunjung banyak meminjam koleksi golongan 200 (Agama), 300 (Ilmu Sosial), dan 400 (Bahasa).

Abstract

This web-based e-commerce is designed to help chip manufacturers sell their products and make it easier for consumers to get chips through internet technology. The web design method uses the prototype method starting with conducting needs analysis, interface design and programming and utilizing PHP programming as a programming language, MySQL as a database, XAMPP as a server and the Codeigniter framework version 4. Chips are a food that is much loved by people of all ages. This has caused many people to start a business selling chips, ranging from home industries to larger production. However, not a few of the chip entrepreneurs have difficulty managing the sale of their chip products to chip consumers such as students, workers and the general public. This is also a result of the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus which is experienced globally, including Indonesia, making it difficult for chip manufacturers to market their products and manage their sales. On the chip consumer side, they also find it difficult to get chips amidst pandemic conditions and busy activity. The difficulties of chip manufacturers and chip consumers can be overcome by developing a system in the form of e-commerce that can be accessed by chip consumers by adapting internet technology. The results of this design produce a web-based e-commerce selling chips by taking a case study in the chips business in Padang City, West Sumatra Province.

Abstract

Finance in school is a very important part because almost all school activities require money. Finance also needs to be regulated as well as possible, for that it needs good financial management. The financial management system available at Khaira Ummah Padang Islamic Middle School has not worked computerized or still uses conventional methods. Therefore, there needs to be other media as a means to help financial management become better. The purpose of this final project is to study, analyze, and design a school financial management information system at Khaira Ummah Padang Islamic Middle School. This information system is designed using the MVC (Model View Controller) architecture method. The tools used are Sublime Text as a text editor, PHP programming language, MySQL as database, Apache web server, and CodeIgniter framework. The final result of this design is a web-based information system that contains matters concerning school financial management at Khaira Ummah Padang Islamic Middle School.

Abstract

Pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Teknik Jaringan Komputer dan Telekomunikasi (TJK) bertujuan meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran. AR memungkinkan integrasi dunia fisik dan virtual, menciptakan lingkungan pembelajaran interaktif dan menarik. Metodologi pengembangan meliputi tahap konseptualisasi, perancangan, uji validasi, dan evaluasi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan aplikasi ini layak digunakan, dengan skor rata-rata persentase respon positif siswa sebesar 91,8%. Diharapkan pengembangan media pembelajaran berbasis AR dapat terus ditingkatkan dan divariasikan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas pembelajaran.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan teknologi kecerdasan buatan (AI) dalam personalisasi pembelajaran online melalui tinjauan literatur yang komprehensif. Dalam era digital yang terus berkembang, pembelajaran online telah menjadi salah satu metode utama dalam pendidikan. Namun, tantangan utama yang dihadapi adalah bagaimana menciptakan pengalaman pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan, gaya belajar, dan kecepatan siswa secara individual. Teknologi AI menawarkan solusi potensial untuk mengatasi tantangan ini dengan memberikan personalisasi pembelajaran yang dapat disesuaikan secara dinamis sesuai dengan kebutuhan tiap siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review yang melibatkan analisis dan sintesis artikel-artikel ilmiah yang relevan dari berbagai jurnal dan konferensi internasional. Fokus kajian meliputi identifikasi teknologi AI yang paling umum digunakan dalam personalisasi pembelajaran online, seperti machine learning, natural language processing, dan recommender systems. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan AI dalam personalisasi pembelajaran online memiliki dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap keterlibatan dan hasil belajar siswa. AI memungkinkan pengembangan konten yang lebih relevan, rekomendasi bahan ajar yang tepat waktu, serta umpan balik yang lebih cepat dan terarah. Namun, penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan seperti privasi data, keterbatasan teknologi, dan kesenjangan dalam akses terhadap teknologi tersebut. Kesimpulannya, meskipun terdapat beberapa tantangan, penggunaan AI dalam personalisasi pembelajaran online menunjukkan potensi besar dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan yang lebih inklusif dan adaptif. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi untuk penelitian lebih lanjut serta pengembangan kebijakan yang mendukung penerapan teknologi AI dalam pendidikan.

Abstract

The sales strategy determines the continuity of the business being run. The problems that occur are the sales archive data has not been analyzed in-depth, the information system has not been integrated with applications for sales data analysis, online media promotion has not been maximized, inadequate stock of goods, the layout of goods is not optimal, and the combination of the number of products is not optimal. This study aims to extract hidden information in the sales database using Data Mining. From the information generated, sales strategy recommendations are developed relating to promotions, inventory, catalogue design, item layout, and the combination of product quantities. The method used is the association rule with Apriori algorithm to find consumer purchase patterns through the resulting association. The importance of association can be identified by two benchmarks, namely support and confidence. The sales strategy analyzed includes product promotion, catalogue design, product layout, stock predictions, and product combinations for sale. Based on the research produced 7 strong rules which are the highest association rules which are then developed into a sales strategy recommendation.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to implement the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method in determining the best cooking oil brand. The research method used is the Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) method with the stages of determining criteria, weights, and alternatives, creating a decision matrix, calculating the normalization value of the matrix and WASPAS weights in decision making Calculating the Qi value of normalization and weights makes ranking from the highest Qi value. From the research it is known that alternative A4 with the description Bimoli has the highest Qi value of 0.9162, so it is concluded that alternative A4 or Bimoli was chosen as the best cooking oil among the eight alternatives or other cooking oil brands. The result of this study is that the WASPAS method is able to recommend the selection of the best cooking oil for consumers.

Abstract

Developments in the 4.0 era at this time require us to be able to use science and technology as much as possible to think creatively, be innovative and be able to solve existing problems. One way education can keep up with this era is by including technology in the learning process. Modules developed in electronic form can be a solution to answer this problem. In addition to teaching modules as learning media, learning models are no less important in supporting learning effectiveness. One learning model that facilitates students applying learning material through an experiment and project is the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model. Flipbook-based e-modules with the Project Based Learning learning model are conventional modules that are converted into electronic form using the Flip PDF Professional application so that they can be used anytime and anywhere. The type of research used is Research and development with a 4D model (define, design, develop, and disseminate). The research was conducted at the Department of Automotive Engineering, Padang State University in the subject of electricity and electronics. The results of this study found that the e-module was declared valid both in terms of media and material from each validator. Lecturers and students also provide an assessment of the practicality of the flipbook-based e-module with this project-based learning model with an average percentage of 88.9% in the very practical category. This flipbook-based e-module is declared effective to use. This was obtained from the results of the students' classical completeness after carrying out the posttest with a percentage of 87.5% and a gain score of 0.47 in the moderate category.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between curiosity and device addiction factors and motivation towards digital literacy in the context of smart learning. This study used a qualitative approach involving 228 students majoring in Electronics Engineering Education at Universitas Negeri Padang. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire with a saturated sampling method, ensuring all relevant respondents were involved. To evaluate the measurement model of the research questions, Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis was used. The results revealed that digital literacy is significantly influenced by three main factors: curiosity, gadget addiction and app addiction. Furthermore, the study found that curiosity-driven motivation tends to improve digital literacy, while gadget and app addiction have a negative impact. These findings provide valuable insights for curriculum development, especially in improving digital literacy among electrical engineering education students. In addition, this study highlights the importance of educational interventions that can manage the wise use of technology and promote constructive curiosity. This research contributes to the understanding of how curiosity and excessive use of technology can affect digital literacy skills, which are crucial to face the challenges of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era. Thus, the results of this study can serve as a basis for more effective educational strategies in preparing students for future digital challenges.
