Abstract

This study investigates the relationship between self-control and financial literacy on the financial well-being of Generation Z, with financial behavior serving as a mediating variable. A quantitative research design was employed, utilizing a convenience sampling technique by distributing questionnaires to Gen-Z individuals residing in Batam. The final sample consisted of 415 respondents, and the data were analyzed using partial least squares structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM). The structural model assessment reveals that both financial literacy and financial behavior exert a significant positive influence on financial well-being, whereas self-control does not exhibit a direct significant impact. Nonetheless, financial behavior effectively mediates the relationship between self-control, financial literacy with financial well-being. These findings highlight the crucial role of enhancing financial literacy and fostering sound financial behavior to improve the financial well-being of the younger generation.

Abstract

Sweet corn (Zea mays L. saccharata Sturt) is an important crop in Indonesia but remains vulnerable to pest attacks that lower its productivity. Excessive reliance on chemical pesticides raises environmental and resistance concerns. This study aims to explore the diversity of predatory insects as natural enemies of pests in sweet corn fields in Telagawaru Village, Labuapi Sub-district, West Lombok. The research was conducted from November 2024 to January 2025 in two cultivation sites. A descriptive method using field surveys and laboratory identification was applied. Observations were carried out using purposive sampling within five 5×5 m blocks per field, at five intervals between 30–50 days after planting. Pitfall and yellow pan traps were used for 24-hour sampling. Data were analyzed using Shannon-Wiener diversity index (H'), evenness index (E), and dominance index (D). Results revealed 1,234 predator individuals from five orders, 19 families, and 31 genera. H’ was 1.909 (moderate), E was 0.2327 (low), and D was 0.2129 (low). It can be concluded that sweet corn fields in the study area have moderate predator diversity with low dominance. Further long-term monitoring is recommended to support ecological pest control strategies by understanding predator dynamics across environmental and agricultural factors.

Abstract

Each individual is unique, one of which is the palmar line pattern on the surface of the palm skin. Children with special needs from the Down syndrome tend to have a Simian pattern. The purpose of this study was to analyze the palmar line and the angle of Axial Triradius Digital (ATD) on the palms of special needs students from the deaf, deafblind, and physically disabled groups at Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB) Negeri 1 Bengkulu City. This research was conducted in September-October 2021 using interview and direct data collection methods on students who met the inclusion requirements. The results indicated that three distinct palmar patterns were observed in the three groups of students. The most prevalent pattern was the normal pattern, which was observed in 84.8% of deaf students, 70.4% of retarded students, and 83.3% of disabled students. The ATD of 350-500 was the most prevalent angle for entire groups of students: 87% of the deaf students, 84.3% of the deafblind students, and 100% of the physically disabled students. Furthermore, the Chi-Square test demonstrated that there was no relationship between palmar line patterns, ATD angles, and the group of special needs students. Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide assistance in the development of horticultural cultivation in Dusun Mongge 2, Sukadana Village. The activity is a follow-up to the horticulture training conducted in early October 2023 at the Sukadana village office. The assistance is carried out in the form of hands-on gardening practices by local residents, particularly housewives, with the hope of improving household food security and creating home-based business opportunities. Support was provided in the form of horticultural seeds (eggplant, tomato, chili, bitter melon, zucchini, golden mama, etc.), polybags, soil, rice husks, manure, and plant protection nets. The assistance process is conducted periodically and includes technical education on cultivation, management of growing media, and the use of organic waste (livestock manure) as fertilizer. This approach aims to reduce dependence on chemical fertilizers while improving soil fertility and crop quality. Preliminary results show good plant growth and enthusiastic participation from the residents. It is hoped that this activity will not only strengthen household food security but also serve as an alternative source of income, particularly for housewives without permanent employment.

Abstract

Sembalun Village is one of 6 villages and sub-districts in Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. Sembalun Village is at an altitude of 1,150 meters above sea level and borders Sembalun Lawang Village and Sajang Village in Sembalun District, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara Province. Sembalun Village was previously part of Sembalun Lawang Village. However, after the expansion of the village by the Regent of East Lombok in 2013, Sembalun Village stood alone because it met the requirements and eligibility as a village. Sembalun Village has hilly geographical conditions and the results of field surveys show that this village is one of the tourist villages visited by many tourists. The potential for developing ecotourism edu areas is very high due to the lack of tourist areas as well as land to preserve ecology in Sembalun Village. The program will be implemented to help the community develop ecotourism potential in Sembalun Village. The UNRAM KKN-PMD team will focus on managing land suitable for use as ecotourism land. Furthermore, there will be outreach related to ecotourism so that people become more familiar with and understand the potential for ecotourism in Sembalun Village

Abstract

Organic farming is an agricultural system that only uses materials available in nature as production inputs, both in terms of fertilizers and pesticides. Currently, people's need for organic food is becoming higher so its availability needs to be increased. The obstacle in this activity is the lack of interest of farmers in carrying out organic plant cultivation because the harvest is smaller and the handling is more specialized compared to regular farming. This activity aims to educate farmers so that they want to switch to becoming better quality organic farmers so that they can improve the quality of life of the community and the economic value of farmers. Apart from that, the use of additional organic fertilizer which functions as a source of nutrients for plant growth, local microorganisms Trichoderma spp. as a bioactivator and biological control agent, it will be able to reduce the need for fertilizer and pesticides in the production phase so that advanced and quality agriculture in Sembalun Village can be realized
