Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the Learning Management System (LMS), Google Meet, and PhET interactive simulations as an effort to develop student creativity and communication skills in Waves and Optics lectures. This research, which uses a one shot case study design, was carried out in the 2023 academic year (odd semester) at the Physics Education Study Program, FKIP, University of Mataram. The research subjects included all University of Jambi students who took Waves and Optics courses with code 133414. These students took part in the Independent Campus program, namely the Independent Student Exchange (ISE), with a total of 20 people. The instrument for creativity uses a product assessment sheet uploaded to the LMS, namely SPADA Unram, while the instrument for communication skills uses an observation sheet during product presentations via Google Meet. The product in question is a paper that discusses a particular topic accompanied by data from PhET interactive simulations. The assessment score for each indicator for both creativity and communication skills uses a scale of 4. The scores for creativity and communication skills are expressed in percentage form. The research results show that the average score for student creativity is 83.0 (B+ criteria), while student communication skills are 86.8 (A criteria). The lowest score in the creativity aspect is 75 (B criteria) with the highest score being 90 (A criteria). The lowest score in the communication skills aspect is 80 (B+ criteria) with the highest score being 90 (A criteria). Thus, implementing LMS, Google Meet, and PhET interactive simulations can be an alternative in developing creativity and communication skills. Optimizing learning media needs to be done to produce better creativity and communication skills

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mengetahui sejauh mana teknik mnemonik menambah penguasaan kolokasi leksikal siswa, dan (2) untuk menyelidiki persepsi siswa terhadap pengajaran kolokasi leksikal menggunakan teknik mnemonik. Penelitian dilakukan di Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 1 Baubau, dengan partisipan sebanyak 54 siswa yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Metodologi penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain eksperimen semu dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Kolokasi leksikal sebelum dan sesudah tes diberikan masing-masing pada kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. Kuesioner juga dibagikan untuk mengukur persepsi siswa dalam menggunakan teknik mnemonik. Data diperiksa dengan menggunakan uji Independent Sample T-test dan frekuensi respon kuesioner. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa strategi mnemonik membantu siswa menguasai kolokasi leksikal. Dipastikan bahwa kelompok eksperimen mengungguli kelompok kontrol. Menganalisis post-test siswa dengan uji-t sampel independen menunjukkan temuan yang lebih baik (3,566 > 2,007). Temuan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan dalam skor post-test antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Para siswa juga menunjukkan tanggapan positif terhadap penerapan teknik mnemonik karena memungkinkan mereka menghafal kolokasi leksikal dengan cepat.

Abstract

Background: The curriculum change from the 2013 Curriculum to the Merdeka Curriculum has brought changes to the teaching process of a subject, including the English subject. Purpose: This research aims to describe the teaching of English based on the Merdeka curriculum at SMK Negeri 1 Limboto. Method: This research aims to describe the teaching of English based on the Merdeka curriculum at SMK Negeri 1 Limboto. Results and Discussion: The results of the research showed that during four observation sessions, the teacher consistently carried out all core learning activities stages as outlined in the observation guide. Similarly, students demonstrated active participation in the learning process, including praying, answering stimulus questions, identifying expressions from the discussed topics, working in groups, completing tasks, discussing, presenting discussion results, and participating in evaluations provided by the teacher. Conclusions and Implications: In conclusion, while the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has been undertaken with considerable effort and knowledge, there is still room for improvement in supporting teachers to be better prepared and able to implement this curriculum effectively in their learning processes. while the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum has been carried out with various preparations and existing knowledge, there is still room for improvement in supporting teachers to be better prepared and able to effectively implement this curriculum in their learning process, especially in terms of in-depth understanding of its characteristics, module preparation, assessment, and adjustment of supporting infrastructure. This that English teaching based on the Merdeka curriculum provides autonom and students in setting goals and the methods to achieve them.

Abstract

This development research aims to create a product in the form of Power Point Visual Basic Application (PPT VBA) media based on the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative model on valid, practical, and effective business and energy materials, so that it can be used to measure motivation and mastery of concepts. students at school. The type of research used is research and development (Research & Development) with the ADDIE model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Data collection techniques were obtained from the results of filling out the validation sheet by 6 validators, namely 3 expert validators and 3 practitioner validators using a Likert scale. Practicality is obtained from the results of student response questionnaires. Effectiveness was obtained from a learning motivation questionnaire and a concept mastery test. Validity is obtained from the results of the validity assessment by expert validators and practitioners, namely 84% and 89%, respectively, with very valid categories. Practicality is obtained from the results of the student response questionnaire with an average value of 99.45% in the very practical category and gets a positive response. The effectiveness is obtained from the results of the motivation questionnaire after learning with an average value of 71.09% in the high category and the results of the concept mastery test calculated using N-Gain getting an average value of 0.59 in the medium category. So that it can be concluded, the development of PPT Visual Basic Application media based on the cooperative model of the NHT type is valid, practical, and effective to increase learning motivation and mastery of students' concepts on business and energy materials in school learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use of Google Forms as an evaluation tool for learning physics in Phase F at SMAN 1 Masbagik. The analysis was divided into two, namely students' mastery of physics concepts on Fluid Statics in terms of the question categories and students' responses to the use of google forms. This study used 18 respondents from Phase F at SMAN 1 Masbagik, East Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara. This research was conducted in an odd semester of the 2022 school year. The link to the evaluation questions given to respondents contained 15 questions with 5 answer options, namely A, B, C, D, and E. Links to student response questionnaires for using the evaluation tool in the form of a Google form containing 10 attitude statements, with an assessment using a scale of 4. The results showed that students who answered correctly in the easy category were 72.2%, the medium category was 50.0%, and the difficult category was 33.3%. Students who expressed interest in the Google form as an evaluation tool amounted to 35.7%, and students who stated that they were very satisfied with the Google form as an evaluation tool amounted to 42.9%. Thus, teachers need efforts to train students in working on questions that fall into the difficult category or Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS). The Google form can be an alternative evaluation tool in physics learning, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic which limited direct learning interactions in class

Abstract

The use of teaching materials has many benefits for students, one of which is to make it easier for students to find information and assist in mastering concepts. This pre-experimental study aims to describe students' mastery of Basic Physics concepts in lectures using e-books. The subjects of this study consisted of all students taking Basic Physics courses at the Biology Education Study Program, University of Mataram, with a total of 27 students. The research was conducted in 7 meetings, starting from October 24 2022 to December 5 2022. The concepts studied consisted of: Static Fluid, Dynamic Fluid, Vibration and Waves, Temperature and Heat. Student concept mastery data was obtained from giving essay tests at the 8th meeting. The level of mastery of the concept is divided into 8 grades namely A, B+, B, C+, C, D+, D, E. Students are declared to have passed if they get grade C, with levels of mastery of concepts ranging from 65 to less than 70. The results showed that the grades the lowest is 66.2 (grade C), while the highest is 91.5 (grade A). The average value of concept mastery is 77.8 (grade B). Thus, it can be concluded that the percentage of students' concept mastery who obtain a pass grade of 100%. The use of e-books can be an alternative teaching material that can be used by lecturers and students in an all-digital era. E-book users can access anytime and anywhere

Abstract

Penggunaan bahasa Inggris perlu diintegrasikan nilai – nilai karakter yang sesuai dengan kearifan lokal Buton. Nilai – nilai karakter tersebut dapat ditanamkan kepada mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran speaking dikelas. Selain penanaman nilai karakter kepada mahasiswa, peneliti juga dapat meningkatan keterampilan speaking mahasiswa melalui metode ‘communicative activities’. Dalam penerapan metode ini, peneliti menggunakan materi-materi yang berkaitan dengan kearifan lokal Buton. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah penerapan metode communicative activities menggunakan materi-materi kearifan lokal Buton dapat meningkatkan keterampilan speaking dan karakter mahasiswa? tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah metode communicative activities menggunakan materi kearifan lokal Buton meningkatkan keterampilan speaking dan karakter mahasiswa atau tidak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian yang menggunakan prosedur siklus berulang. Empat tahapan dalam siklus tersebut yaitu 1) perencanaan, 2) tindakan, 3) pengamatan, 4) refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan test, angket dan observasi. Data quantitaive dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif statisti dan analisis data qualitataive menggunakan data reduktin, data display dan kesimpuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Hasil nilai rata-rata pada siklus I adalah 64.1. Pada siklus II nilai rata-rata sebesar 73.8 artinya ada peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 9.7%.

Abstract

Desa Tampak Siring berada di Kecamatan Batukliang, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, memiliki sumber daya alam melimpah, terutama pada bidang pertanian, perkebunan, dan peternakan. Sebagian besar penduduknya bermata pencaharian sebagai petani dan peternak. Dari hasil survei ditemukan informasi bahwa masyarakat setempat belum mampu mengolah kotoran ternak yang seharusnya bisa digunakan sebagai pupuk kompos untuk lahan pertanian. Masyarakat setempat masih menggunakan pupuk kimia yang dibeli di pasaran yang digunakan sebagai pupuk untuk bertani. Padahal, pupuk kompos memiliki beragam manfaat seperti mengurangi penggunaan pupuk kimia yang berdampak negatif terhadap lingkungan. Tujuan kegiatan KKN ini adalah meningkatkan kualitas tanah pertanian masyarakat Desa Tampak Siring melalui pemanfaatan kotoran ternak sebagai pupuk kompos. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada tanggal 2 Juli sampai dengan tanggal 22 Agustus 2024 di Desa Tampak Siring, Kecamatan Batukliang, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Salah satu program KKN berupa pelatihan pengolahan kotoran ternak menjadi pupuk kompos ini diikuti oleh perangkat desa, kelompok tani, kelompok ternak, dan karang taruna. Tahapan kegiatan yakni: mengundang narasumber, sosialisasi (penyampaian materi dan demonstrasi pembuatan pupuk kompos), pendampingan pembuatan pupuk kompos. Fermentasi pupuk kompos membutuhkan waktu selama 2 minggu hingga akhirnya dapat digunakan oleh masyarakat untuk lahan pertanian.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya guru dalam menanamkan karakter disiplin siswa Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penanaman karakter displin siswa Sekolah Dasar dapat ditanamkan melalui pembiasaan dan keteladanan seorang guru dengan tujuan untuk mendidik dan membekali siswa agar memiliki perilaku dan moral yang baik untuk dirinya sendiri, masyarakat, dan lingkungan sekitar. Pembiasaan dapat menjadi sikap dan tingkah laku serta karakter yang sifatnya otomatis dan akan menjadi kepribadian yang luhur pada diri siswa dan keteladanan digunakan untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai moral dan sosial anak. Pentingnya menanamkan pendidikan karakter disiplin sejak dini agar kelak anak dapat menjadi penerus bangsa yang memiliki moral dan perilaku yang cakap dan menjadi sumber daya manusia yang berkarakter baik. Kedua aspek ini dilakukan secara berkelanjutan dan konsisten, tidak hanya di sekolah tetapi juga dioptimalkan di lingkungan keluarga, mengingat waktu siswa lebih banyak berada di rumah dibandingkan waktu berada di sekolah. Penampilan pendidikan karakter ternyata mampu mendidik siswa yang unggul bukan hanya dari ranah pengetahuan, cerdas secara emosional, tetapi juga kokoh dalam kepribadian.

Abstract

The training program is intended to provide SMAN 1 Gunungsari, West Lombok students the abilities they need to use the PhET and Pascal software efficiently. The main goals of the training are to provide students with the skills necessary to use and navigate these programs efficiently to improve physics learning results. Participants will learn how to use the PhET and Pascal software to conduct physics experiments, depict difficult ideas, and solve demanding issues through an organized training program and interactive sessions. The training will also emphasize helping students strengthen their critical thinking abilities as they investigate the connections between theoretical concepts and actual experiences. The program will include several practical exercises and demonstrations to ensure that students not only learn the theory but also have the practical skills necessary to use PhET and Pascal successfully. It is expected that these abilities would improve their physics learning process overall. After the training, students will be required to demonstrate improved PhET and Pascal skills, as well as their ability to independently study physics principles, conduct experiments, and use critical thinking to solve problems. As students utilize the potential of these strong tools for learning, this training program signifies an important milestone in empowering them to achieve success in their physics studies as well as afterwards.
