Abstract

 ABSTRAK Konsep agrosilvopastural merupakan salah satu komponen dari konsep agroforestri, yakni pengkombinasian antara komponen pertanian dengan kehutanan dan peternakan/hewan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengidentifikasi  jenis usaha agrosilvopastural, (2) menganalisis karakteristik pelaku usaha agrosilvopastural dan (3) menganalisis keragaan usaha agrosilvopastural di wilayah sekitar DAS Laeya. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah masyarakat yang bermukim di wilayah hulu dan hilir DAS Laeya dengan jumlah 51 rumah tangga. Analisis yang digunakan dalam kajian ini analisis deskriptif, pendapatan, analisis R/C-ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: Jenis usaha agrosilvopastural di wilayah sekitar DAS Laeya Kabupaten Konawe Selatan meliputi; (a) Tanaman pangan, palawija, dan hortikultura (semusim), yang terdiri dari;  padi ladang, padi sawah, jagung, cabai, serta jenis sayur-sayuran dan buah-buahan, (b) Tanaman perkebunan (tahunan) yang terdiri dari; jambu mete, lada, dan kelapa sawit, (c) Tanaman kehutanan yang terdiri dari; jati lokal, jati putih, jabon, dan kayu biti, dan (d) Peternakan yang terdiri dari; sapi bali, unggas lokal, dan kambing. Berdasarkan hasil analisis R/C ratio dan B/C ratio, bahwa usaha agrosilvopastural di wilayah hulu dan hilir DAS Laeya Kabupaten Konawe Selatan layak untuk dijadikan sebagai objek pengembangan usaha agrosivopastural, dengan rata-rata nilai R/C ratio sebesar 4,02 dan B/C ratio sebesar 3,02.Kata kunci:  integrasi pertanian, kehutanan, peternakanABSTRACTThe agrosilvopastural concept is one component of the concept of agroforestry, namely the combination of agricultural components with forestry and livestock / animal. Respondents in this study were people living in the upstream and downstream areas of the Laeya watershed with a total of 51 households. The analysis used in this study was descriptive analysis, income, R/C-ratio analysis. The results showed that: Types of agrosilvopastural businesses in the area around the Laeya watershed in South Konawe Regency include; (a) Food crops, secondary crops and horticulture (annuals), which consist of; field rice, paddy rice, corn, chili, and types of vegetables and fruits, (b) Plantation crops (annual) consisting of; cashew, pepper, and oil palm, (c) Forestry plants consisting of; local teak, white teak, jabon, and biti wood, and (d) Livestock consisting of; Bali cattle, local poultry, and goats. Based on the results of the  /C ratio and B/C ratio, that the agrosilvopastural effort in the upstream and downstream areas of the Laeya watershed in Konawe Selatan Regency is feasible to be used as an object of developing agro-ventricural enterprises, with an average R / C ratio of 4.02 and B / C ratio of 3.02.Keywords: integration of agriculture, forestry. livestock

Abstract

Integrasi usahatani ternak merupakan pilihan untuk menunjang peningkatan pendapatan petani baik yang ada di pedesaan maupun di daerah pingiran kota yang masih memiliki lahan pertanian khususnya persawahan. Penelitian ini bertujuan (1) mengetahui tingkat pendapatan petani padi sawah dengan usaha tunggal di Kawasan Persawahan Amohalo (2) menganalisis potensi peningkatan pendapatan petani dengan mengintegrasikan usaha tani padi sawah dengan usaha ternak itik, (3) menganalisis keberhasilan dan kemanfaatan secara ekonomi pada usaha tunggal dan usaha integrasi padi sawah dengan usaha ternak itik. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah petani padi sawah yang memiliki ternak dengan jumlah 33 petani.  Penentuan responden dilakukan  secara acak sederhana yang selanjutnya dilakukan analisis pendapatan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa(1) pada usahatani tunggal, jumlah pendapatan bersih yang diperoleh petani padi sawah di Kawasan Persawahan Amohalo adalah sebesar Rp7.716.295,58,- per tahunnya,- atau hanya sebesar Rp643.024.63,- per bulanya, (2) Pada usahatani integrasi, jumlah pendapatan bersih  yang diperoleh petani di Kawasan Persawahan Amohalo adalah sebesar Rp14.464.495,58,- per tahunnya,- atau sebesar Rp1.205.374,63,-,dan (3) pola usahatani padi sawah yang terintegrasi dengan ternak itik, lebih efisien dan menguntungkan dari pada usahatani tunggal. Pada usahatani tunggal diperoleh nilai R/C ratio sebesar 1,69 sedangkan usahatani yang terintegrasi diperoleh nilai R/C ratio sebesar 2,05.Kata kunci: Pengembangan, Integrasi usahatani ternak, pendapatan

Abstract

Tujuan  penelitian ini adalah mengkaji pengaruh lokasi otot dan bahan pengisi terhadap kualitas kimia sosis sapi. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pola faktorial. Faktor pertama (A) adalah BF (A1), LD (A2) dan PP (A3).  Faktor kedua (B) adalah 10% (B1), 20% (B2) dan 30% (B3). Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak tiga kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukan, interaksi lokasi otot dengan bahan pengisi berpengaruh yang sangat nyata (p<0,01) terhadap kadar protein, kadar lemak, kadar air, kadar abu dan berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap kadar karbohidrat tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (p>0,05)  terhadap kualitas organoleptik.  Secara mandiri lokasi otot berpengaruh sangat nyata (p<0,01) terhadap kadar protein, kadar lemak, kadar air, kadar abu, warna, tekstur dan berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap kadar karbohidrat, keempukan dan aroma tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (p>0,05)  terhadap citarasa sosis.  Secara mandiri bahan pengisi memberikan pengaruh sangat nyata (p<0,01) terhadap kadar protein, kadar lemak, kadar air, kadar abu, keempukan dan berpengaruh nyata (p<0,05) terhadap kadar karbohidrat dan aroma tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (p>0,05)  terhadap warna dan citarasa sosis sapi.  Dapat disimpulkan interaksi lokasi otot dan bahan pengisi pada kualitas kimia, perlakuan pectoralis profundus (PP) dengan bahan pengisi 10%, baik digunakan dalam pembuatan sosis karena mengandung lemak yang rendah dan protein yang tinggi serta kualitas organoleptik yaitu longissimus dorsi (LD) dengan bahan pengisi 10% dilihat dari tingkat kesukaan panelis. Kata kunci: Lokasi otot, Pengisi, Organoleptik, Sosis.

Abstract

ABSTRAKMeningkatkan kekenyalan bakso dapat dilakukan dengan cara menambahkan zat pengenyal, termasuk agar komersial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari penggunaan agar komersial sebagai bahan pengunyah terhadap kualitas fisik bakso ayam. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan yaitu P1 (agar 0%), P2 (agar 1%), P3 (agar 2%), dan P4 (agar 3%) dan diulang sebanyak 3 kali. Variabel yang diamati adalah daya tampung air, rendemen, dan elastisitas. Variabel penelitian adalah kualitas fisik yaitu daya tampung air, rendemen, dan elastisitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada pengaruh yang signifikan pada masing-masing variabel. Penambahan agar 3% tidak meningkatkan kualitas fisik bakso ayam.Kata Kunci: bakso ayam, agar, kualitas fisik Water Holding Capacity, Elasticity, and Rendemen of Chicken Meatball Made with Commercial Agar in Various LevelsABSTRACTIncreasing the chewiness of the meatball can be done by adding a chewing agent, including commercial agar. This research aimed to study the use of commercial agar as chewing agent on the physical qualities of chicken meatballs. This research used a completely randomized design with four treatments: P1 (0% agar), P2 (1% agar), P3 (2% agar), and P4 (3% agar) and repeated 3 times. The variables observed were water holding capacity, yield, and elasticity. The research variables were physical quality, namely water holding capacity, yield, and elasticity. The results showed no significant effect on each variable. Agar addition up to 3% did not increase the physical qualities of chicken meatball.Keywords: chicken meatballs, jelly, physical quality

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan  untuk menganalisis dan menentukan keberadaan serta tingkat residu antibiotik terutama golongan tertasiklin pada sampel lapang hati ayam broiler yang berada di Kota Kendari. Metode yang digunakan meliputi observasi lapang, pengambilan sampel dan pengujian sampel di laboratorium. Penentuan lokasi pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Lokasi sampling (pasar) yang dijadikan sebagai tempat pengambilan sebanyak 5 (lima) pasar sesuai dengan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Jenis sampel yang digunakan adalah hati ayam potong yang berasal dari beberapa pedagang dengan kisaran bobot karkas/bobot hati yang berbeda.  Pengambilan sampel hati dilakukan dengan metode simple random sampling. Pengujian sampel digunakan sesuai dengan Standar Nasional Indonesia dengan metode Tapis. Pengujian residu dilakukan melalui uji skrining test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pemeriksaan residu antibiotik pada semua sampel adalah negatif. Kesimpulannya adalah produk peternakan dari ayam potong yang di pasarkan di Kota Kendari sebagian besar tidak mengandung residu antibiotik. Peternak ayam potong yang ada di Kota Kendari sudah mulai bijak dalam penggunaan antibiotik serta penentuan waktu panen.Kata kunci: ayam broiler, hati ayam, residu antibitikABSTRACT               This study aimed to analyze and determine the presence and level of antibiotic residue, especially tetracycline group in broiler chicken liver in Kendari. The methods used in this study were field observations, sampling, and laboratory testing. Determination of sampling location was done by purposive sampling. The sampling location (market) chosen for this study were 5 (five) markets based on predetermined criteria. The type of sample collected was broiler liver from several butchers with different ranges of carcass / liver weight. Liver sampling was done using simple random sampling method. The sample was tested using Tapis method in accordance to Indonesian National Standard (SNI). Tetracycline residue was tested by screening test. The results showed negative antibiotic residues in all samples. It can be concluded that livestock products from broiler chicken in Kendari market are mostly free from antibiotic residue. It can be assumed that the broiler farmers in Kendari have become wise in using antibiotics and the determination of harvest after antibiotic treatment.  Keywords: antibiotic residues, broilers liver, broiler meat

Abstract

This study has conducted four weeks in Laboratory of Animal Nutrition Department of Animal Science, Faculty of Animal Science, Haluoleo University, Kendari. The treatments R0 = rations based feed’s non fermented, R1 = rations based 40% rice bran fermented (RBF), R2 = rations based 45% RBF, R3 = rations based 50% RBF, R4 = rations based 55% RBF, R5 = rations based 60% RBF. The experimental design used a randomized block design (RBD) with 5 treatments and 4 groups. The results showed that dry matter digestibility (DMD) of R1, R2, R5 higher than R0 (94,17%, 90,98%, 91,04% vs 88.60%). In contrast, DMD of R3 and R4 lower than R0 (80,90% and 80,89% vs 88,60%). Organic matter digestibility (OMD) of R0 lower than R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 ( 62,58% vs 90,32%, 90,55%, 90,78%, 91,15% and 90,41%). In contrast, OMD of R4 higher than R1, R2, R3, R5 and R0 (91,41% vs 90,32%, 90,55%, 90,78%, 90,41% and 62,58%). Ammonia (NH3) concentrations of R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 higher than R0 (8,20 mM, 5,40 mM, 8,67 mM, 7,22 mM and 7,42 mM vs 3,20 mM). The conclusion of this study was FBR based 40%, 45%, 50%, 55% and 60% RBF feasible to ruminant’s feed.Keywords : Feed’s Fermented, Digestibility, Dry Matter, Organic Matter, Ammonia.ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kelayakan penggunaan ransum berbasis pakan fermentasi untuk ternak ruminansia berdasarkan kecernaan bahan kering dan bahan orgaik serta protein secara In Vitro. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama empat minggu di Laboratorium Ilmu Nutrisi dan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Haluoleo, Kendari. Perlakuan yang dicobakan adalah R0= ransum berbasis pakan non fermentasi (kontrol), R1= ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 40%, R2= ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 45%, R3= ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 50%, R4= ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 55%, R5= ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 60%. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 perlakuan dan 4 kelompok. Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan kecernaan bahan kering ransum berbasi dedak padi fermentasi 40%, 45%, dan 60% lebih tinggi dibanding dengan ransum berbasis pakan non fermentasi (94,17%; 90,98% dan 91,04% dibanding dengan 88,60%). Sebaliknya, ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 50% dan 55% lebih rendah dibanding dengan ransum berbasis pakan non fermentasi (80,90% dan 80,89% dibanding dengan 88,60%). Kecernaan bahan organik ransum berbasis pakan non fermentasi lebih rendah dibanding dengan ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 40%, 45%, 50%, 55% dan 60% (62,58 % dibanding dengan 90,32 %, 90,55 %, 90,78 %, 91,15 % dan 90,41 % ). Sebaliknya kecernaan bahan organik ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 55% lebih tinggi dibanding dengan ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 40%, 45%, 50%, 60% dan kontrol (91,41% dibanding dengan 90,32%, 90,55%, 90,78%, 90,41% dan 62,58%). Konsentrasi amonia ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 40%, 45%, 50%, 55% dan 60% lebih tinggi dibanding dengan ransum berbasis pakan non fermentasi (8,20 mM, 5,40 mM, 8,67 mM, 7,22 mM dan 7,42 mM dibanding dengan 3,20 mM). Kesimpulan bahwa ransum berbasis dedak padi fermentasi 40% hingga 60% layak digunakan untuk pakan ternak ruminansia.Kata kunci: Pakan Fermentasi, Kecernaan Bahan Kering, Kecernaan Bahan Organik, Amonia.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluating plant growth from revegetation activity results, and visualize the structure stands in the study area.  The research was conducted at the revegetation site of the South mine block  of  PT. ANTAM Tbk UPB Pomalaa, district Kolaka, Southeast Sulawesi, since january to december 2013.  This study uses survey method, determining the location of sampling using purposive sampling and shape of sample plots are terraced lines.  The variables of this study is the number of species, species density and diversity of species.  The data were analyzed using quantitative descriptive analysis.  sexi-FS software is used to get a visualization of the distribution of vegetation and  stratification of canopy that similar with the field situations.  The results showed that an increasing number of species on the level of vegetation trees and saplings.  While at the level of the pole number of species encountered are the same as the previous monitoring period.  As in the seedling stage noticeable decrease in the number of types.  Vegetation density increased in the group of trees and poles, while the density of saplings decline though not significantly.  The level of diversity showed significant improvements at the tree level, while at other levels decreased quantity though not significantly.  The spread of vegetation indicates a uniform distribution pattern (uniform).  Stratification headers are composed mainly of at most 3 stratum, that is  C, D and E, even some are only composed by two strata only, that is  D and E. This shows that, overall, the plant community is still in the process of growth to reach climax.Key Words ;  Revegetation, Vegetation analysis, Visualization stand structure,  PT. Antam,Tbk.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the composition and vegetation structure of mangrove forest in Kabena Island, Bombana Regency, especially at the level of trees and sapling which is the focus in the estimation of surface carbon stocks in mangrove forests. Data were collected using a combination method of plots and lines, which were placed intentionally and perpendicular to the shoreline. The measurement data are then analyzed to obtain information on the density, frequency, dominance, the Importance Value Index (IVI) and the diversity index. The results showed that vegetation composition at tree and sapling level was made up of 15 species, which belong to 7 families. The family of Rhizophoraceae and Avicenaceae are the families with the highest number of species. Rhizophora mucronata and Rhizophora apiculata are the most numerous species with very large stem diameters found in the Study Site. The level of diversity at the study site was included in the moderate category with Shannon Wiener's diversity index value at the tree level of 2.29 and the sapling level of 2.28. These results provide an indication that the resilience of mangrove forest ecosystems at the level of trees and tinang on Kabaena Island is moderate.Keywords : Mangrove, Structure, Composition, Diversity, Kabaena Island.

This study has been carried out to know  the carbon stock distribution of Mangrove, to validate ALOS PALSAR backscattering coefficient with aboveground biomass (AGB)  and to know the best polarization to estimate mangrove  carbon stock distribution  at Coastal zone of Lainea District of South Konawe. This study was conducted from December 2015 to June 2016 at coastal zone of Lainea sub district of  South Konawe. Above ground biomass was estimate by allometric equation and ALOS PALSAR Dual Polarization HH-HV analysis. The relationship between  two variables then analyzed mathematically by regression to see how strong the relationship between two variables. The criteria used by coefficient of determination R2 and Root Mean Square Error (RMSE). The result of total carbon stock in sample plot  is 71,97 ton ha-1 with  total biomass  is 153.13 ton ha-1. For determination, coefficient HV is higher than HH with coefficient of determination R2  is 84% and for RMSE value HV is lower than HH with 1,38 than 2,01. So, for mapping carbon stock distribution worth using HV backscatter polarization. Map of carbon stocks distribution classified by three class distribution are 0-25 ton ha-1 for low carbon stock marked by blue color, 26-50 ton ha-1 for medium carbon marked by yellow color and 51-75 ton ha-1 for high carbon marked by red color.  Based on the value of R2 and RMSE, we conclude that the utilizing of ALOS PALSAR HV with equation y= 0.254HV - 18.93  polarization satellite imagery worthy used for estimating and mapping of carbon stock distribution of mangrove forest in Lainea Sub District, South Konawe Keywords : ALOS PALSAR, Mangrove Forests, Carbon Stock, Validation

Abstract

This study aims to determine in the mining area of PT Bumi Konawe Abadi District of Motui the period 2009 and 2015.  Processing is done by using a computer that is equipped with ArcGIS software. Implementation of this study consists of several stages. that is  pre-processing, digital image processing, classification OBIA, vicual interpretation, ground check and Land Cover Change Analysis.  The results showed that in the period 2009 to 2015 there are 6 classes of land cover has decreased the extent of that class of forests, farms, mixed farms, secondary mangrove forests, water and shrubs. There are sour classes of land cover the increased area is mine, open land, fields, and settlements. The greatest extent of the decline occurred in forest cover has decreased by -171.22 ha area. The addition of the greatest extents occurred on land cover Mine is 167.44 ha.  Key words :  land cover and changes, Mining area, Forest.
