Abstract

Pembelajaran  sains menjelaskan  fenomena  alam sekitar. Berdasarkan observasi di SMP N 1 Karangawen pembelajaran bersifat tekstual. Case study adalah metode yang mengurangi kesenjangan diantara teori dan praktik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan efektivitas penerapan metode case study untuk mengoptimalkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi hama dan penyakit tumbuhan. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP N 1 Karangawen. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain control group pretest-posttest design. Penentuan sampel dilakukan secara purposive sampling. Data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar kognitif dan afektif (sikap), tanggapan siswa dan guru. Hasil belajar kognitif dan afektif dianalisis dengan uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan n gain kelas eksperimen 0,53 sedangkan kelas kontrol 0,43 dan berbeda signifikan. Hasil belajar afektif (sikap) kelas eksperimen 53,26 sedangkan  kontrol 45,79 dan berbeda signifikan. Siswa memberikan tanggapan positif 87 % sedangkan guru 80 % terhadap penerapan metode case study. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan metode case study efektif pada materi hama dan penyakit pada tumbuhan yang ditunjukkan rata – rata peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif dan afektif kelas eksperimen lebih besar daripada kelas kontrol dan berbeda signifikan, siswa dan guru memberikan tanggapan positif > 70 % terhadap penerapan metode case study untuk mengoptimalkan hasil belajar siswa kelas VIII di SMP N 1 Karangawen. The science learning is to explain the natural phenomenon surroundings. Based on the result in SMPN 1 Karangawen , the learning process is still textual. The case study recomended as a method to decrase the gap between theory and practice. This research is an exsperimental with pretest-posttes control group design. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of the application of case study method to optimize students learning outcomes in pests and plant diseases material.The research is done in SMP N 1 Karangawen. The data taken is the result of cognitive learning, affective learning outcomes ( attitudes ), the responses of students and teachers. The result showed that the average of the cognitive outcomes learning’s improvement in experimental class (0,53) and the control class (0,40) and significantly different. Affective learning outcomes, the students attitudes on enviromental awareness in exsperimental class is 53,26 and controls class 45,79 and significantly different. Students give positive responses 87 % and teacher 80 % on the application of the case study method. Based on the result it can be concluded the application of the case study method is effective on the pests and plant diseases material shows the average enhance in cognitive and affective learning outcomes eksperimental class more than control class and is significantly different, students and teachers responded positively > 70 % on the application using case study is method to optimize students learning outcomes of class VIII in SMP N 1 Karangawen.

Abstract

Materi pembelajaran bermuatan SETS dan model pembelajaran PBL dapat digunakan untuk memecahkan permasalahan ekologi dan meningkatkan pemahaman materi ekologi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas bahan ajar serta mendiskripsikan karakteristik bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Metode  penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development). Desain penelitian uji coba skala luas menggunakan pretest-posttest control group design dan posttest-only control design. Hasil validasi bahan ajar yang dilakukan oleh ahli pendidikan, ahli materi dan praktisi pendidikan dengan rata-rata nilainya 91,67 (amat baik). Kepraktisan bahan ajar menurut siswa sebesar 91,00 (sangat baik) dan menurut guru sebesar 98,50 (sangat baik). Berdasarkan hasil belajar kognitif, sikap dan keterampilan modul yang dikembangkan efektif. Karakteristik modul ekologi hasil pengembangan yaitu materinya diawali dengan permasalahan sehari-hari yang ada disekitar kita. Permasalahan ditutup dengan pertanyaan yang mengarahkan ke pemahaman tentang SETS. Hasil belajar kelas kontrol dan kelas perlakuan terjadi perbedaan yang signifikan, baik pada penilaian kognitif, sikap dan keterampilan. T Learning materials contain SETS and PBL learning model can be used to solve the problems of ecology and to increase the understanding of ecological materials. This research is aimed to determine the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning materials and to describe the characteristics of the developed learning materials. The research method is a research and development. Design of large scale trials using a pretest-posttest control group design and posttest-only control design.The results of the validation materials made by education experts, materials expert and practitioners of education have average mark of 91.67. The practicality of materials according to the students of 91.00 and according to the teachers of 98.50. Based on the resuts of cognitive learning, attitudes and skills of developed modules, it works effectively. Characteristics of ecological module from that development is that the material is staryed from daily life problems around us. The issue is closed with a question leading to an understanding of the SETS. The results of study control class and experiment occurs a significant difference, both on the cognitive assessment, attitudes and skills.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA di SMPN 3 Mranggen kompetensi terkait pengendalian hama dan penyakit organ tumbuhan belum mengintegrasikan keterkaitan antara sains, lingkungan, teknologi, dan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji efektifitas perangkat pembelajaran IPA Bervisi SETS kompetensi terkait pengendalian hama dan penyakit organ tumbuhan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah Research and Development. Penelitian dilakukan di SMPN 3 Mranggen dan sentral pertanian organik desa Tlogoweru Kecamatan Guntur Kabupaten Demak. Sampel penelitian adalah peserta didik SMPN 3 Mranggen sejumlah 93. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu pemilihan sampel dengan pertimbangan.Uji skala terbatas 10 peserta didik, uji skala luas tahap 1 sejumlah 27 peserta didik, dan uji skala luas tahap 2 kelas eksperimen dan kontrol masing-masing 28 peserta didik. Produk yang dikembangkan  berupa silabus, RPP, bahan ajar, LKS, LDS, dan alat evaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan seluruh peserta didik mencapai ketuntasan dengan rata-rata nilai 92 dan N-gain sebesar 0,83. Seluruh peseta didik bersikap baik, terampil, dan aktif.  Berdasarkan informasi di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA bervisi SETS kompetensi terkait pengendalian hama dan penyakit organ tumbuhan valid dan efektif. The learning Science in Public lower sec School 3, Mranggen did not utilize the integrate linkages of science, environment, technology and society. The purpose of this study was to know the effectiveness of learning package that feature SETS vision in the competency related to pest and disease control of plants organs to improve the outcomes of students. The study used Researh and Development design. The study was conducted in Public Lower Sec School 3 Mranggen and central organic farming in Tlogoweru village Guntur, Demak, Central Java. Selected under purposive random sampling. Small sample was 10, the large scale sample 27. The control sample class and the experiment class were using 28 students, of each products developed are syllabi, lesson plan, teaching materials, worksheet discussion sheet and evaluation instrument. The results showed that the learning implemented can help all students to the competency with an average value of 92 and the N-gain 0,83. All students are kind, skillful and active in learning process. The learn of science that feature SETS vission was valid, and effective to be used in achieve the designated competency the science learning SETS vision competence related pest and disease control of plants organs.

Abstract

Perangkat pembelajaran materi pencemaran lingkungan yang terdapat di SMA Negeri 1 SoE masih belum dikembangkan secara baik, menyebabkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menjadi rendah dan menurunnya hasil belajar siswa kelas X. Disebabkan materi pencemaran lingkungan masih bersifat abstrak dan belum mengarah kepada pemahaman konsep. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran bermodelkan example non example berorientasi pada kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar siswa. Desain penelitian Research and Development (R&D) dan pengujiannya menggunakan metode eksperimen. Teknik analisa data meliputi uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji kevalidan, uji ketuntasan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran bermodelkan example non example meliputi silabus, Rencana Pelaksanaan pembelajaran (RPP), bahan ajar, Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS) dan alat evaluasi, yang divalidasi validator ahli untuk mengetahui validitas, reliabilitas perangkat pembelajaran. Untuk memperoleh data pelengkap dikembangkan instrumen yaitu lembar observasi kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa, lembar angket afektif siswa, respon guru dan siswa. Hasil pengembangan pembelajaran bermodelkan example non example yang valid dan inovatif. Pada kelas eksperimen 1 kemampuan berpikir kritis lebih baik dibandingkan kelas eksperimen 2. Respon guru 92,5% dan siswa 96,16% dengan kriteria baik sekali. Hasil belajar sesuai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM) kedua kelas eksperimen, sebesar 77,7% dan 88,8% artinya pembelajaran dilakukan secara tuntas. The lesson plan of environment pollution in SMA Negeri 1 SoE, had been not developed well because environmental pollution especially in the school environment was still abstract and  in teaching learning process did not lead the students to understand the concept of pollution itself .It was the reason why the achievement of X.1 students were still low because the students did not have the critical thinking ability. The objective of  the research is produce instrument learning model example non example oriented on students outcome and critical thinking ability. The research design Research and Development (R&D) and  use experimental method. This objective study was to develop a learning model example non example includes syllabus, Lesson Plan, teaching materials, students' worksheet (LKS) and evaluation tools, which have been validated  by a validator experts to determine the validity and reliability of the learning device. To obtain supplementary data developed instruments which are; observation sheet of the students' critical thinking skills, students’ affective questionnaire sheet, teachers and students response. The result of this study showed that example non example model was valid and innovative. In the first experimental class showed that the critical thinking skills better than the second experimental class. Learning modeled example non example also provided a response to the teachers was 92.5% and 96.16% of students with excellent criteria. The result of the study showed that first experimental class gained 77,7% and the second  experimental class gained 88.8%. It means that both classes passed the Minimum Mastery Criterion (KKM).

Abstract

Pembelajaran di MAN Indramayu belum mengaitkan pada lingkungan sekitar, padahal kondisi sekolah dapat dijadikan pokok bahasan materi pencemaran lingkungan, karena terdapat lingkungan yang rentan terhadap pencemaran lingkungan. Oleh karena itu dibutuhkan pembelajaran dan tugas yang nyata pada lingkungan sekitar, sehingga siswa dapat aktif dan memenuhi ketuntasan hasil belajar. Tujuan penelitian ini menguji keefektivan pembelajaran bervisi SETS melalui praktikum identifikasi bioindikator Sungai Cimanuk terhadap ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dan subjek penelitian adalah kelas X matematika ilmu alam (MIA) sebanyak 88 siswa (tiga kelas). Hasil uji keefektivan diperoleh nilai ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar aspek keterampilan mencapai 93%. Data hasil belajar aspek keterampilan diperoleh nilai rerata 3,48 atau predikat (B+). Hasil ini menunjukkan pembelajaran bervisi SETS melalui praktikum identifikasi bioindikator Sungai Cimanuk efektif terhadap ketuntasan hasil belajar aspek keterampilan siswa.Learning in MAN Indramayu has not related the material in the surrounding environment yet. In fact, the condition of the school can be set as a subject matter of environmental pollution because there is an environment that is vulnerable toward the environmental pollution. Therefore it needs learning and the real assignment in the surrounding environment, so that the students can be active and achieve the completeness of learning outcomes. The purpose of research is to test the efectiveness by learning SETS-vision through practical bio-indicator identification of Cimanuk River will be effective toward the completeness of learning outcomes of students' skills aspects . The method used was experimental and research subjects are grade X math science (MIA) as many as 88 students (three classes). The effectiveness result of learning in getting the classical completeness score of learning outcome of skill aspect reach 93%. Learning outcome of skills aspect gets a mean score of 3.48 or predicate (B+). These results show that learning SETS-vision through practical bio-indicator identification of Cimanuk River effective toward the completeness of learning outcome of students’ skill aspect.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the model of empowering dry land farmers in Central Java, the actors involved, the constraints faced, the impact and level of effectiveness. The study used two approaches: qualitative and quantitative approaches. In the qualitative approach, data were analyzed by using an interactive model. While the quantitative approach carried out by using the cost and benefit analysis. In the qualitative approach, data were analyzed by using an interactive model. While the quantitative approach conducted by using the cost and benefit analysis. The results showed that CSR was done through the assistance of technical consultants by applying concept "one product one village"; institutions involved include SOEs (State-Owned Enterprises), the Provincial Government, Local Government, Village Government, Private Companies and Community. The external constraints that happen came from cultural differences of government and private organizations as well as the existence of unpredictable extreme weather. Meanwhile the internal constraints derived from the knowledge level of farmers; ROI calculation result showed that the planting of horticulture commodities was profitable.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penerapan model GNT dengan video terhadap hasil belajar siswa materi sistem saraf di SMP. Penelitian ini merupakan quasi experiment dengan menggunakan Pretest-Posttest Kontrol Group Design dengan 2 kelas sampel yaitu kelas IX-C (kelas kontrol) dan kelas IX-D (kelas eksperimen). Sampel diambil menggunakan non-random sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil belajar kognitif diperoleh melalui skor Posttest dan LDS. Hasil belajar afektif diperoleh melalui angket. Data tanggapan siswa diperoleh melalui angket. Hasil belajar kognitif menunjukkan ketuntasan klasikal kelas eksperimen 86,11% dan kelas kontrol 44,44%. Hasil belajar afektif diperoleh rata-rata akhir kelas eksperimen 65,83% dan kelas kontrol 66%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap pembelajaran memperoleh kriteria baik dengan rata-rata 82%. Uji hipotesis pengaruh model GNT dengan video terhadap hasil belajar siswa menggunakan uji t dan diperoleh nilai t hitung > t tabel, yaitu 4,29 > 1,99. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model GNT dengan video berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa.. This study aimed to analyze the influences of applying the GNT model with a video on Junior High School student learning outcomes of the nervous system material. This study was a quasi experiment using a pretest-posttest control group design with two sample classes  those are class IX-C (control group) and class IX-D (experimental group). Samples were taken by non-random sampling with purposive sampling technique. Cognitive learning outcomes were obtained by posttest scores and LDS. Affective learning outcomes and Student responses data were obtained by  questionnaires. The findings showed that cognitive learning outcomes satisfied the classical completeness (minimum passing grade) up to 86.11% from the experimental group and compared to 44.44% from the control group. Affective learning outcomes gained an average up to 65.83% of the experimental group and 66% of the control group both in good criteria.  Student responses to learning were under good criteria with an average 82%. Hypothesis testing of the influences of the GNT model with a video on student learning outcomes, as indicated by  t test, showed that  the values t test > t table, namely 4.29 >1.99. This proved that applying the GNT model with a video had the significant influences to learning outcomes.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran biologi materi sistem pertahanan tubuh dengan pendekatan SETS pada siswa SMA. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pre-Eksperimental Design dengan pendekatan One-Shot Case Study. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 13 Semarang. Sampel yang digunakan adalah kelas XI MIPA-1 dan XI MIPA-3. Pengambilan sampel dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa data hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif, afektif, psikomotorik, serta data tanggapan siswa dan guru. Metode pengambilan data aspek kognitif melalui tes, aspek afektif melalui angket, aspek psikomotorik dengan penugasan serta data tanggapan siswa dan guru  melalui angket. Analisis hasil belajar siswa mencapai ketuntasan sebesar ≥ 75 %. Hasil belajar siswa aspek kognitif kelas XI MIPA-1 memperoleh ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 89 % sedangkan kelas  XI MIPA-3 memperoleh  85 % ketuntasan belajar klasikal. Hasil belajar siswa aspek afektif dan psikomotorik kelas XI MIPA-1 dan XI MIPA-3 memperoleh ketuntasan sebesar 100%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis post test dengan uji t one sampel diperoleh hasil t hitung sebesar 7,376. Karena harga t hitung > t tabel maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran biologi materi sistem pertahanan tubuh dengan pendekatan SETS pada siswa SMA berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar siswa The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of SETS-approach biology learning in concept of the immune system on high school students. This study is a Pre-Experimental Design with One-Shot Case Study. The population was all students of class XI SMA Negeri 13 Semarang MIPA. The sample is class XI MIPA 1 and XI MIPA-3 by purposive sampling technique. Data collected was student learning outcomes of cognitive, affective, psychomotor, students’ and teachers’ response.  The data of cognitive aspect was from test, affective from questionnaires, psychomotor aspects from the assignments and data of students’ and teachers’ response were from questionnaires. Analysis of learning outcomes showed that students achieved ≥ 75% mastery. The students’ classical cognitive aspect of XI MIPA-1 was 89% while XI MIPA-3 was 85%. The students affective and psychomotor aspects completeness of XI MIPA -1 and XI MIPA-3 were both 100%. The post-test analysis with one sample t-test gave t-calculate of  7.376. Because the t-count> t-table, it can be concluded that the SETS-approach biology learning in concept of  the immune system gave a positive effect on senior high school students’ learning outcome.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menguji keefektifan media pembelajaran “Si Imut” berbasis masalah materi sistem imun sikap peka dan peduli keselamatan diri dan lingkungan siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas XI semester genap SMA N 13 Semarang dengan desain posttest only control design. Sampel yang diperoleh adalah kelas XI MIA 2 dan XI MIA 3, melalui teknik random sampling. Keefektifan diukur berdasarkan kompetensi sikap dengan predikat minimal B, dan ketuntasan kompetensi ketrampilan kelompok eksperimen > kelompok kontrol. Hasil perhitungan uji t, nilai kompetensi pengetahuan kelompok eksperimen > kelompok kontrol. Tanggapan guru dan siswa terhadap “Si Imut” minimal baik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 100% siswa memperoleh sikap dengan predikat minimal B, ketuntasan ketrampilan kelompok eksperimen 90,9%, sedangkan kelompok kontrol 84,8%. Nilai rata-rata pengetahuan kelompok eksperimen sebesar 67, sedangkan kelompok kontrol 61. Guru dan siswa memberikan tanggapan sangat baik. Simpulan yang dapat diambil media pembelajaran “Si Imut” berbasis masalah materi sistem imun efektif terhadap sikap peka dan peduli keselamatan diri dan lingkungan siswa. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of “Si Imut” problem-based instructional media of immune system to students sensitive and personal safety and environmentally conscious attitudes. This study was conducted by post-test only control design at grade XI. The samples of this study were grade XI MIA 2 and XI MIA 3 through random technique sampling. The effectiveness was reached if minimal stance competence predicate is B, and completeness of skill competence of experimental group is greater than control group. The results of t-test showed that experimental group was greater than control group. Response of teacher and students to “Si Imut” was good. The result showed that affective minimal predicate of 100% of students was B, the skill completeness of experimental group was 90,9%, while the control group was 84,8%. Knowledge mean score of experimental group was 67, while control group was 61. Teacher and students gave good response. It could be concluded that “Si Imut” problem-based instructional media of immune system learning was effective to improve students sensitive and personal safety and environmentally conscious attitudes.

Abstract

Entomopathogenic nematodes Entomopathogenic nematodes (EPN) of the genera Heterorhabditis and Steinernema are commercially used to control pest insect. EPN is widely cultivated through in-vivo and in vitro methods. This research aims to discover the abundance of EPN cultivated in various artificial media. Seven types of media composition were tested in this research: media A (yeast + soybean powder), media B (yeast + chicken liver), media C (yeast + dog food), media D (yolk + soybean powder), media E (yolk + chicken liver), media F (yolk + dog food), and media G (yeast + yolk + dog food). Each media was inoculated in 1.2x103JI/mL. The growth of EPN was observed weekly in 4 weeks. Results showed that EPN could be cultivated using various media; media D, E, F, and G. Highest abundance of EPN is found in the second week of media D for 28164 JI/ml.Cell harvesting is suggested to be conducted during the first and second week to obtain maximum abundance of EPN.How to CiteIndriyanti, D., & Muharromah, N.
