Abstract

Islamic education plays a crucial role in shaping the character and morality of students. However, the increasing prevalence of violations against Islamic teachings, such as brawls, drug abuse, and other immoral behaviors, has become a major concern in the field of education. This study is a literature review that examines the various forms of violations of Islamic teachings among students, as well as their impact on their social and spiritual lives. The study found that factors such as cultural globalization, lack of self-control, and weak inculcation of religious values are the main causes of the decline in students' morality. To address these issues, an education system that focuses on noble character and the consistent implementation of Islamic law is essential. The findings of this study are expected to serve as a reference in the development of more effective educational policies in shaping a generation with strong moral integrity.

Abstract

Mewujudkan peserta didik yang berkarakter merupakan tujuan pendidikan saat ini. Penelitian ini berfokus pada penguatan pendidikan karakter religius melalui ekstrakurikuler keagamaan yang dilakukan di SMA Negeri 3 Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan melalui tahapan pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan beberapa hal. Pertama, nilai-nilai penguatan pendidikan karakter religius yang diterapkan meliputi nilai ilahiyah dan insaniyah. Kedua, proses penguatan pendidikan karakter religius dilakukan melalui berbagai kegiatan. Ketiga, karakter religius yang paling terlihat mengalami penguatan antara lain ketakwaan, amanah, disiplin, toleran, dan kreatif. Keempat, penguatan pendidikan karakter melalui ekstrakurikuler keagamaan didukung oleh tata tertib, kerja sama yang baik, sarana dan prasarana, serta budaya sekolah. Kelima, hasil penguatan pendidikan karakter religius terlihat dengan adanya kesadaran diri dalam beragama serta menunjukkan hasil akademik yang baik. Keenam, strategi yang digunakan dalam proses penguatan pendidikan karakter yaitu pembiasaan, keteladanan, dan internalisasi nilai-nilai positif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler keagamaan dapat menjadi salah satu wadah untuk penguatan pendidikan karakter religius.Realizing students with character is the aim of education today. This research focuses on strengthening religious character education through religious extracurriculars conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Bandung. This research is a descriptive qualitative research. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used through the stages of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study show several things: First, the values of strengthening religious character education that are applied include divine and insaniyah values. Second, the process of strengthening religious character education is carried out through various activities. Third, the most visible religious characters experiencing strengthening include piety, trustworthiness, discipline, tolerance, and creativity. Fourth, strengthening character education through religious extracurriculars supported by order, good cooperation, facilities and infrastructure, and school culture. Fifth, the results of strengthening religious character education can be seen in the existence of self-awareness in religion and showing good academic results. Sixth, the strategies used in the process of strengthening character education are habituation, exemplary, and internalization of positive values.

Abstract

Pendidikan agama berperan penting dalam memperkuat wawasan dan ketaatan beragama siswa, yang menjadi dasar pembentukan karakter dan moral mereka. Namun, masih ditemukan siswa yang menunjukkan perilaku menyimpang akibat rendahnya pemahaman dan ketaatan terhadap nilai-nilai agama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan upaya penguatan wawasan dan ketaatan beragama melalui program pembinaan keagamaan di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan untuk mengatasi tantangan kemerosotan moral siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Karawang. Subjek penelitian meliputi Wakil Kepala Sekolah Bidang Kesiswaan, Guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam untuk memperoleh pandangan langsung, observasi untuk mengamati aktivitas keagamaan di sekolah, dan dokumentasi untuk menganalisis data tertulis yang relevan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tiga tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penguatan wawasan dan ketaatan beragama siswa dilakukan melalui berbagai program rutin seperti pembiasaan ibadah harian, pengembangan karakter melalui pembelajaran agama, dan partisipasi aktif dalam kegiataan keagamaan serta sosial. Program-program tersebut dirancang untuk menanamkan kesadaran beragama yang kuat dan mendukung pembentukan nilai-nilai spiritual siswa secara menyeluruh.Religious education plays a vital role in strengthening students' religious awareness and adherence, serving as the foundation for their character and moral development. However, some students still exhibit deviant behavior due to their limited understanding and lack of adherence to religious values. This study aims to describe efforts to enhance religious awareness and adherence through religious development programs in vocational high schools to address the challenges of moral decline among students. This study employs a descriptive qualitative method conducted at SMK Negeri 1 Karawang. The research subjects include the Deputy Principal for Student Affairs, Islamic Religious Education teachers, and students. Data collection techniques involve in-depth interviews to obtain direct perspectives, observations to monitor religious activities at the school, and documentation to analyze relevant written data. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that strengthening students' religious awareness and adherence is carried out through various routine programs, such as daily worship habituation, character development through religious education, and active participation in religious and social activities. These programs are designed to instill a strong sense of religious consciousness and support the holistic development of students' spiritual values.

Abstract

Morals as an element in Islamic Education and Character subjects in the Independent Curriculum have continuous learning outcomes and teaching materials from primary to secondary education levels. However, moral crises such as student brawls, bullying, and so on, are still widespread in the school environment. It is hoped that the moral elements in Islamic Education and Characteristics can be a solution to this problem. This research aims to map learning outcomes and teaching materials for moral elements in the Independent Curriculum. The focus of the study includes morals towards Allah SWT, fellow humans and oneself, to ensure continuity between learning outcomes and teaching materials with student development and Islamic teachings about morals. This research uses a qualitative approach with content analysis methods on curriculum documents and PAI and Budi Pekerti textbooks in the Merdeka Curriculum version. The results of the research produced a comprehensive mapping of learning outcomes and PAI teaching materials and moral elements in the Independent Curriculum which are in line with student development and the values ​​of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Homework is one way to improve students' learning achievements outside of extracurricular activities. Unfortunately, current phenomena show that homework is thought to have negative impacts such as academic fatigue or academic procrastination. This study aims to describe the quality of homework management for students in public high schools. The research approach uses a quantitative descriptive cross-sectional design. The data was shared in the form of a closed questionnaire and collected with a total sample of 646 students from a total population of 31,397 students. The location of this study was in one of the cities in Indonesia. The results of this study reveal that homework management is one aspect that needs attention in the Islamic Religious Education (IRE)  subject. This aspect observes how well students manage their homework. The five main aspects include environment, time, motivation, emotion, and distraction. The results of the study found that the average level of student homework management is generally in the high category. In particular, the aspect that has the highest positive response in this study is the aspect of environmental management with an average indicator percentage of 92.80%. This aspect is followed by the aspects of emotion management (89.79%), motivation (87.70%), time (79.84%), and distraction (45.53%). This study shows that every aspect of homework management still needs improvement, especially the aspect of distraction. Based on the findings of this study, students tend to be easily distracted when doing their homework.

Abstract

Kesiapan anak dalam mengikuti Pendidikan di pesantren melalui edukasi orang tua memiliki peranan penting dalam pencapaian keberhasilan Pendidikan anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan edukasi orang tua dalam membangun kesiapan anak mengikuti pendidikan di pesantren. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskriptif dengan wawancara mendalam sebagai teknik utama pengumpulan datanya. Responden yang diambil adalah 10 orang tua atau wali murid yang memiliki pengalaman dengan pendidikan pesantren. Analisis data dilakukan dengan tahapan reduksi, display, dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa persepsi dan motivasi orang tua terhadap pendidikan pesantren sangat didasari oleh keinginan untuk menyelaraskan pendidikan formal dan spiritual. Orang tua menggunakan beragam strategi untuk membangun pemahaman anak agar anak siap menghadapi pendidikan di pesantren. Hasil penelitian ini berkontribusi menjadi referensi masyarakat dalam membangun persepsi, motivasi, dan strategi yang dapat dilakukan untuk menyiapkan anak agar berhasil mengenyam pendidikan di pesantren.

Abstract

Abstract: Various religious activities are a mandatory aspect for all Muslim students at Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) to embody the "religious" motto in the UPI profile. These activities serve as a means of educational development and religious reinforcement, becoming the center for Islamic education. The aim of this study is to analyze the impact of students' religious activities on the religiosity of UPI students in their daily lives. Key supporting activities include PAI tutorials, SPAI, and BBQ/BTQ. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The participants of this study were Muslim students of UPI. Data collection techniques included questionnaires distributed among the students, and data analysis involved data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings focused on the religious characteristics possessed by the students and their habits that reflect religious traits. The results indicated the success of religious activities in fostering a religious atmosphere in the daily life of UPI students. Students regularly practice pious deeds, both ritual and social, as well as environmental, demonstrating that UPI students exhibit good morals and possess religious characteristics. Abstrak: Berbagai kegiatan keagamaan menjadi salah satu kewajiban setiap mahasiswa yang beragama Islam demi mewujudkan motto “religius” pada profil Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Kegiatan ini merupakan sarana pembinaan pendidikan dan penguatan keagamaan serta menjadi pusat pendidikan agama Islam. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis pengaruh kegiatan keagamaan mahasiswa terhadap sikap religius mahasiswa UPI dalam kehidupan sehari–hari. Beberapa kegiatan keagamaan yang menunjang adalah tutorial PAI, SPAI, dan BBQ/BTQ. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kualitatif serta metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Adapun yang menjadi partisipan dalam penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa UPI yang beragama Islam. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket yang disebarluaskan di kalangan mahasiswa dan analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Terdapat temuan yang berfokus pada karakteristik religius yang dimiliki oleh mahasiswa serta kebiasaan mahasiswa yang menunjukkan karakter religius. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) keberhasilan kegiatan keagamaan dengan tujuan terciptanya suasana kehidupan mahasiswa UPI yang religius. (2) Mahasiswa terbiasa mengamalkan amaliah keshalihan, baik ritual, sosial, maupun terhadap lingkungan yang menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa UPI memiliki akhlak yang baik/memiliki karakteristik religius.

Abstract

Tolerance is a serious discussion in Indonesia. Establishing Kampung Toleransi (Tolerance Village) is among the government's efforts to create harmony between religious communities. This research aims to examine the role of mosques in building tolerance in society in an area known as the Village of Tolerance. Data for this research was obtained through in-depth interviews with community members and religious figures involved in religious activities in the Tolerance Village. Analysis was carried out using NVivo12 software to enable collection, organization, and a deeper understanding of this tolerance practice. The results of this research reveal diverse tolerance practices in the religious context of the Village of Tolerance. Social, cultural, and religious factors are essential in shaping tolerance practices. Nonetheless, the village stands out for its ability to encourage interfaith dialogue, cooperation, and respect for differences. The results of this research can provide a deeper view of how society can achieve greater tolerance in religious contexts through interfaith cooperation and dialogue. This research has the potential to make an essential contribution to understanding the practice of tolerance in religiously and culturally diverse societies. ***** Toleransi menjadi pembahasan yang serius di Indonesia. Di antara upaya pemerintah dalam mewujudkan kerukunan antarumat beragama yaitu dengan membentuk Kampung Toleransi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peran masjid dalam membangun toleransi di masyarakat pada sebuah daerah yang dikenal dengan sebutan Kampung Toleransi. Data untuk penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan anggota masyarakat dan tokoh agama yang terlibat dalam kegiatan keagamaan di Kampung Toleransi. Analisis dilakukan menggunakan perangkat lunak NVivo12 agar pengumpulan, pengorganisasian, dan pemahaman yang lebih mendalam tentang praktik toleransi ini. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkap praktik toleransi yang beragam dalam konteks keagamaan di Kampung Toleransi. Faktor-faktor sosial, budaya, dan agama memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk praktik-praktik toleransi. Meskipun demikian, kampung ini menonjol karena kemampuannya dalam mendorong dialog antaragama, kerjasama, dan penghormatan terhadap perbedaan. Hasil penelitian ini dapat memberikan pandangan yang lebih dalam tentang bagaimana masyarakat dapat mencapai toleransi yang lebih baik dalam konteks agama melalui kerja sama dan dialog antaragama. Penelitian ini berpotensi memberikan kontribusi penting dalam memahami praktik toleransi dalam masyarakat yang beragam secara agama dan budaya.

In light of the decline in religious values among Indonesian youth amidst globalization and secularization, the study seeks to understand how family and school environments contribute to the development of religious intelligence and how substantive religiosity, encompassing faith, worship, and moral values, plays a role in shaping students’ spiritual and moral development. A quantitative correlational design was employed, with data collected from 400 grade XI students across two schools: SMAN 24 and MAN 2 in East Bandung. A 4-point Likert scale questionnaire was used to measure family religiosity, school religiosity, and substantive religiosity. Spearman correlation tests were conducted to examine relationships between the variables, while the Mann-Whitney U test was used to compare religious intelligence between Madrasah Aliyah and public school students. The study found a significant positive correlation between family religiosity and religious intelligence, with parental involvement being the most influential factor. Madrasah Aliyah students showed higher religious intelligence than public school students, attributed to the integrated religious curriculum and daily religious practices in madrasahs. Additionally, substantive religiosity, which includes faith, worship, and morals, significantly enhances religious intelligence, highlighting the importance of a holistic approach to religious education. The findings suggest that a synergistic approach between family and school is essential for fostering religious intelligence. Public schools should consider integrating more spiritual practices into their curricula. This research also emphasizes the need for educational policies that incorporate both cognitive and spiritual learning to nurture well-rounded, spiritually intelligent students. This study introduces a quantitative comparison of the influences of family and school religiosity, contributing new insights into how substantive religiosity shapes religious intelligence in Indonesian youth.
