Abstract: Tempe is the food produced by simple fermentation technique by Rhizopus oligosporus. During tempeh on the market are made from only soybeans. While the last few years soybean production in Indonesia is decreasing and can not meet demand. Therefore, it is necessary to develop the manufacture of tempeh use other raw materials nutritional value is not lost either with tempeh from soy such as rubber seed (Havea bransiliensis) The purpose of this study was to determine the good treatment in the manufacture of tempeh and results of this study can be used for the development of LKS High School Biotechnology Conventional materials. This study consisted of two stages: the first stage, while the second phase of making tempe LKS development of research results. Research making tempe using the experimental method completely randomized design (CRD), which consists of 5 treatments and 3 ulangan.Hasil research it was concluded that in terms of content, protein content and levels of cyanide as well as organoleptic, treatment K4 is a good time in the making tempe. In the treatment K4memiliki protein content of 16.59%, cyanide levels at 0.0004% with perendama time of 24 hours and boiling for 120 minutes. Abstract: The research was conducted to determine the effect of NPK complex fertilizers to the growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms (pleurotus ostreatus) on March-May 2016. The results used as module development of biology learning of concept mushrooms (fungi) in class x senior high school. The study consisted of two phases, the first effect of NPK complex fertilizers to the growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms (pleurotus ostreatus) using non factorial completely randomized design that consist 5 treatments and 3 replicatesand totally obtain 15 experimental design. It would further DMRT test if effect. The observed parameters include growth and protein content white oyster mushrooms. The second phase, developing a module with concept of mushrooms (fungi) by using ADDIE models. Based on the survey results revealed that the addition of NPK effect on all parameters observed where the best dosage with the addition of NPK 10gr / 1 kg of growing media. Abstract : Research conducted in class VII SMPN 3 Sinaboi 2015/20156 school year to determine improving student learning outcomes with the use of media images. This research is a classroom action research conducted in two cycles of planning, execution and observation and reflection. The data collected in this study is the result of learning by assessing the absorption and mastery learning results obtained from the post-test and daily tests sisiwa. Student activity and teacher activity were measured using observation sheet.From the research results can be concluded that by using media images can improve learning outcomes IPA class VII SMPN 3 Sinaboi Academic Year 2015/2016 where absorption is obtained from the value of post-test on the first cycle, the first meeting is 75.35% (enough) and increased in the second meeting, namely 78.84% (enough). In the second cycle first meeting of 85.76% (good) and increasing at a meeting 2 to 90.76% (excellent). Mastery learning students in the first cycle that 76.07 (enough) and the second cycle increased to 8.00 (good). The average activity of students in cycle 1 meeting 1yaitu 90.00% (excellent) increased at a meeting 2 to 93.84% (excellent) danpada cycle II meeting 1 97.69% (excellent), increasing at a meeting 2 to 100 5 (excellent ). Activities teachers in the learning process in the first cycle is 85%, (good) and the second cycle was 100% (excellent).Keywords: Media Image, Learning Outcomes

Abstract: This research was conducted in May and June 2016. The study was carried out by two stages. Phase I of making yoghurt breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) with the method used in this study is the experimental method. Making yogurt breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) begins with the stage of pasteurization, refrigeration, innokulasi and incubation. The parameters in this study include lactic acid levels, pH and protein content. UHT milk 20ml Extra showed significant gains against the yoghurt breadfruit (Artocarpus altilis) with a mean of 0.96% lactic acid levels, pH 3.8 and the protein content of 6.36%. Phase II is the stage of designing the module by analyzing the curriculum in 2013, KD and Syllabus. The analysis showed that KD potential in the design of conventional modules on biotechnology in the field of food was KD 3:10.Key Words: Lactic acid bacteria, UHT milk, breadfruit, Modules

Pineapple Bogor fruits (Ananas comosus (L.) Merr.) cv. Queen or Nanas bogor is tropical fruits included horticultural crops. This fruit is often used to make juices, flavorings and food ingredients. This reserach aimed to determine the effect of IAA and BAP on shoot multiplication Bogor pineapple fruits on MS medium. The study was conducted using methode completely randomized design (CRD) factorial with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the concentration of IAA with 4 level is 0-1.5 ppm. The second factor is the BAP with 4 degree of concentration is 0-3 ppm. Parameters measured were while emerging shoots, number of shoots and shoots high. The data were number of shoots and shoots high were analyzed by ANOVA and tested further by DMRT at 5% level, while the shoots emerge as a descriptive made by counting the days when buds first appear with a marked greenish white bumps on the surface explants. Theresults showed that a growing percentage of explants is 100%, the currently the fastest emerging shoots 3.67 after initiated  on treatment A0B2, A0, 5B1 and A1B1. The mean number of shoots of nanas bogor cv. Queen highest found in treatment A0,5B3 is 12. The mean height is 5 cm tallest shoots in treatment A1B0. The results of this research concluded that the combination treatment of A0,5B3  is the best treatment combination in the multiplication shoots of nanas bogor cv. Queen.

Abstract : Vegetable waste is a habitat for microorganism that are very threatening to people's health if not managed properly. Management of vegetable waste can be done through a microbial fuel cell while producing useful alternative energy in the form of electricity. This study aims to determine the benefits of market vegetable waste as a biolistric through a microbial fuel cell. This study uses a quantitative approach with a type of Completely Randomized Design (CRD) research. The results showed the highest electrical energy value was obtained in R3 + treatment that is 8.93 mV at an average pH of substrate 4.5, the initial temperature of the substrate 32oC and the final temperature of the substrate 30oC. Based on further Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at the 5% level, the addition of 50 ml of Effective Microorganism 4 can increase the electrical energy produced in the reactor. It was concluded that vegetable waste can produce electrical energy by utilizing electrochemical cells based on microbial fuel cells.Key words : Vegetable waste, microbial fuel cell, and effective microorganism 4.

Abstract: This research was conducted to determine the effect of rice washing water concentration on the growth of pak choi (Brassica rapa L.) with wick system hydroponics technique and the design of student worksheet (LKPD) of senior high school grade XII biotechnology materials in February-March 2018. This research carried out in two stages; they are the experimental stage: the effect of the concentration of rice washing water on pak choi growth and the designing stage of the LKPD: the analysis of the potential development of senior high school grade XII biotechnology material for teaching. The research used the experimental method by conducting experiments in the Greenhouse of the Nature Laboratory Biology Education Study Program FKIP Pekanbaru Riau University. Sampling was carried out with a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this research were plant height, leaf width, leaf number, root length, and plant dry weight. Based on the results of Analysis of variance (Anava) at the level of 5%, the administration of rice washing water concentration showed a significant effect on the growth of pak choi (Brassica rapa L.). The provision of rice washing water with a concentration of 1 kg of rice with 1 liter of water showed the best growth of the pak choi (Brassica rapa L.) plant and based on the analysis of the research results, it can be used as a draft students worksheet (LKPD) of senior high school grade XII biotechnology materials.Keywords: Rice Washing Water, Pak Choi, Wick System, LKPD Design

Abstract : This study aims to determine the results of DNA isolation from seroja and tenggek burung leaves based on the different buffers used namely CTAB, rinso detergent and sunlight soap and produce the worksheet design based on scientific approach in material genetic subject for high school 12th grade. This research was conducted in two stages, namely the experimental activities of DNA isolation and the design worksheet stage of analysis and design. The type of research is laboratory descriptive research. The parameters measured in the study are the presence of DNA and DNA concentration. The results of the study showed that DNA isolation of seroja and tenggek burung leaves was successfully carried out using CTAB buffer and rinso detergent. The presence of DNA can be seen in the supernatant during administration of isopropanol and in the DNA band during electrophoresis. The highest DNA quantity (DNA concentration) was found in the samples of tenggek burung with Rinso detergent TNC detergent of 50 ng/μl and seroja with rinso detergent NC of 20 ng/μl. The DNA quantity using the highest CTAB buffer was found in the CTAB TNC seroja sample of 5 ng/μl and the dead CTAB TNC was 4 ng/μl. While the isolation of DNA with sunlight soap buffer was not successfully carried out. Therefore, it can be concluded that the rinso detergent buffer is more appropriately used for simple DNA isolation experiments in the worksheet designed.Key words: DNA isolation, local plant (seroja and tenggek burung), worksheet
