Abstract

BACKGROUND: Stunting due to malnutrition and soil-transmitted helminth (STH) chronic infections can cause disturbances in bone formation processes during growth. Reduced levels of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1) lead to reduced osteoblast activity which can be monitored through alkaline phosphatase (ALP) and osteocalcin (OCN). Unfortunately, studies that assessed IGF-1, OCN, and ALP together in stunted children with STH infection are still limited. Therefore, in this study, the osteoblast activity was monitored by measuring IGF-1, OCN, and ALP in stunted and normo-stature children with STH infection.METHODS: A case-control study involving 28 stunted and 33 normal-stature children was conducted. Blood plasma IGF-1 and OCN levels were measured using the enzyme linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method, while ALP activity was measured using the colorimetric method. STH infection was examined by direct smear method. The parameters were analyzed and compared between the stunted and normo-stature children.RESULTS: Although in stunted boys there was no significant difference, however in stunted girls with positive STH infection, a decrease in IGF-1 (<36.60 ng/mL vs. ≥36.60 ng/mL) showed an impact on the decrease of OCN levels (54.68 (42.22-144.54) ng/mL vs. 104.55 (86.14-392.73) ng/mL; p=0.047). ALP activity in children with positive STH infection showed that ALP activity in stunted children was lower than in normo-stature children (18 (10-671) U/L vs. 228.50 (16-574) U/L; p=0.005).CONCLUSION: The blood levels of IGF-1 and ALP activity in stunted and positive STH infected children tend to be lower than in normo-stature children.KEYWORDS: stunted, normo-stature, IGF-1, bone alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin

Abstract

The constraints of MSMEs emping melinjo are on the supply side, where the increase in demand for melinjo chips cannot be matched by production capacity. Production capacity is highly dependent on the drying process. The drying process of emping melinjo is highly dependent on the season. In addition to requiring a relatively long time, emping melinjo is easily contaminated by microbes, making it unhygienic. Related to the constraints faced by MSMEs, the drying process must be improved so that the drying process is fast and hygienic by implementing a hygienic dryer. This PKM activity is divided into several stages, starting with the survey and literature study stage, ending with the evaluation stage. This dryer is constructed knockdown with 5 mm transparent clear glass material, the door is made of a vertical lift door, the walls of the dryer are insulated with glass wool and equipped with a turbine ventilator for better air circulation. Based on the evaluation results, this technology is able to speed up the drying process so that MSME turnover increases by up to 79% and workers' wages increase by 66.7%, resulting in better product quality and of course hygienic.

Abstract

Design and manufacture of automatic sheet metal bending machine tools in the press brake section with the aim of being able to streamline the operating time of bending machines in the Orange Teknik workshop. The main obstacle is that the bending machine is operated manually because it still uses an analog system. The main goal in creating this innovative tool is to assist the operation of a sheet metal bending machine so that it saves time and makes it easier to determine the results of the bending angle. In the process of designing and manufacturing automatic tools, it begins with an analysis of the problems in Orange Engineering, Literature Study, carrying out the design, manufacture and assembly of tools for bending machines, searching for bending data and analyzing data, creating equation formulas and ending with automatic data validation. The result shows that as the thickness of the plate used increases, the required punch force decreases, or the rotary encoder value becomes smaller to achieve the same angle as thinner plates. The effect of plate material variation in the bending process shows that the punch force applied in the press brake system is greater for black iron plates. Similarly, the rotary encoder value is higher to achieve the same bending angle compared to stainless steel plates.

Abstract

Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru SMK di bidang pengelasan melalui pelatihan welding inspector level dasar. Kegiatan ini bertujuan agar para guru dapat mengajarkan teknik pengelasan sesuai dengan standar industri dan mengidentifikasi cacat pengelasan dengan tepat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah pelatihan berbasis teori dan praktik, yang mencakup pengujian visual dan pengujian dengan cairan penetrant. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui ujian awal dan akhir, serta wawancara untuk mengukur pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta, dengan 80% peserta menguasai pengujian visual dan 75% peserta menguasai pengujian cairan penetrant setelah pelatihan. Pelatihan ini berhasil memperkaya kompetensi guru dalam teknik pengelasan, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan vokasi di SMK.

Abstract

The integration of unplugged coding in elementary schools offers a solution to the lack of devices in implementing the coding curriculum, but its effectiveness depends on student focus and engagement. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing student focus and strategies for maintaining concentration during such learning. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of articles from 2020–2025 on Google Scholar using keywords related to unplugged coding, focus, attention, and elementary school. Articles were selected based on inclusion criteria and then analyzed using content analysis and narrative synthesis techniques. The analysis of 7 articles revealed that student focus is influenced by kinesthetic stimulation, structured collaboration, and a game-based context. The use of manipulatives and gamification enhances attention as well as mastery of algorithms and debugging. With a balanced instructional design, unplugged coding effectively maintains student focus in alignment with their neurocognitive development.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Tenaga kesehatan memiliki peran krusial dalam meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan kesehatan maksimal kepada masyarakat, di mana Puskesmas Muara Pinang sebagai UPTD Dinas Kesehatan bertanggung jawab atas pelayanan kesehatan dasar yang komprehensif di wilayahnya; penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis tingkat kualitas pelayanan dan fasilitas yang perlu dipertahankan, ditingkatkan, serta mengidentifikasi penyebab masalah menggunakan metode Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), dan diagram fishbone. Penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan kuantitatif pada pengunjung Puskesmas Muara Pinang, menghasilkan nilai CSI sebesar 80,45% (kategori puas) karena dapat dikatakan bahwa tingkat kepuasan pelanggan disana secara umum berada pada kategori puas. namun IPA 86,65% (belum puas)yang berarti pelayanan yang di berikan Puskesmas Kecamatan Muara pinang belum memuaskan karena nilai tersebut berada di bawah 100% (Apabila Tki 100%, berarti pelayanan belum memuaskan),dan dengan diagram Kartesius mengidentifikasi empat atribut prioritas perbaikan yaitu fasilitas ruang perobatan dan pelayanan umum (dimensi tangibles), kenyamanan antri obat (dimensi assurance), serta respon petugas obat (dimensi empathy), yang disebabkan oleh faktor manusia, metode, material, mesin, lingkungan, dan pengukuran berdasarkan fishbone. Kesimpulan utama menekankan perlunya perbaikan prioritas tersebut guna meningkatkan kepuasan pengunjung secara keseluruhan. Kata Kunci: customer satisfaction index, fishbone, importance performance analysis.  ABSTRACTAnalysis of Muara Pinang Community Health Center Service Quality Regarding Visitor (Patient) Satisfaction Using IPA and CSI Methods. Healthcare workers play a crucial role in delivering optimal healthcare services to the community; the Muara Pinang Community Health Center (Puskesmas), as a technical implementation unit of the Health Office, is responsible for providing comprehensive primary healthcare in its area. This study aims to analyze service quality and facility standards—identifying aspects to maintain or improve—and to pinpoint the root causes of issues using the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), and fishbone diagrams. A quantitative approach involving visitors to the Muara Pinang Puskesmas yielded a CSI score of 80.45% (categorized as "satisfied"), indicating a generally satisfactory level of customer satisfaction. However, the IPA score was 86.65% (categorized as "not yet satisfied"), signifying that the services provided were not fully satisfactory as the score fell below the 100% threshold. A Cartesian diagram identified four priority areas for improvement: treatment room and general service facilities (tangibles dimension), comfort during the medication queue (assurance dimension), and the responsiveness of pharmacy staff (empathy dimension); fishbone analysis attributed these issues to factors involving people, methods, materials, machines, the environment, and measurement. The study concludes by emphasizing the need to address these priority areas to enhance overall visitor satisfaction Keyword: customer satisfaction index, fishbone, importance performance analysis.
